Signature Brew Blackhorse Road - Review - Walthamstow - London - The Infatuation

"Signature Brew is a polished brewery and taproom on Walthamstow’s Blackhorse Beer Mile. It’s big, with a covered bar area that’s almost a proper building. There are drinkable, music-inspired beers (the Roadie IPA is one of their best) and they’ve got a decent selection of drinks that aren’t beer too. This is one for fans of live music—they do a bunch of events throughout the year—and those who like their taprooms a little less warehouse-y. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Sinéad Cranna

Signature Brew in Walthamstow has established itself as a standout destination for craft beer enthusiasts, and its partnership with 7Bone to provide a dedicated burger menu enhances the overall experience. The brewery’s “burger feast” offering is well-aligned with its ethos, combining freshly brewed beer, served just steps from the taproom, with indulgent comfort food. The lively setting, complete with outdoor seating and regular live music, creates an atmosphere that is as much about social connection as it is about dining. The burgers are consistently well-received, praised for their flavour and satisfying portions. While not aiming for gourmet sophistication, they serve as a robust complement to the brewery’s range of beers, with the balance of quality and variety appealing to those seeking a relaxed but elevated casual dining experience. In this sense, the food supports the primary draw of Signature Brew — its craft beer and vibrant venue — without overshadowing it. That said, there are minor considerations. The venue can become crowded during peak periods, and pricing may strike some as slightly above average for portion sizes. However, these are outweighed by the strength of the overall package. Taken together, Signature Brew’s burger feast delivers a compelling blend of well-prepared food, excellent beer, and an engaging atmosphere, making it a highly recommended choice for those seeking more than a standard burger night. On the expensive side but enjoyable

One of our favourite places for a pint, so much so we had our wedding reception here on December 5th. The events team were fantastic in helping us plan our evening and we had a blast. Shout out to Los Gordos as well who are the resident caterers at Signature Brew, love their Mexican food and it was great have it feeding our guests on the night

My wife and I had ordered food and drinks from your kitchen, also our friend group, so 9 meals in total. My child won’t eat anything off your menu, she’s 8. So I ordered her a margarita pizza from the bar down the lane. One of your staff, saw her eating her pizza and asked to take it outside, again she’s 8! So I had to take her outside in 2 degrees weather. Also this was a ticketed event that we paid for, an event specifically for children. I understand you sell your own food, but we had purchased a ton of that already! Just have a bit of understanding. Really Rubbish approach to customer service. Again this was the NYE kids event. Allowances should have been made. If there’s one to get a bad review, upset a customers child

Great visit. We were made welcome and the arrangement for our friend with mobility issues had all been taken care of. Food arrived fairly quickly and was tasty (we had the mexican options). The gig was fantastic. Would come again.

Nice place with great selection of beers, foods and chips! Plenty of seating outside and nice interior design. Chips were delicious and good portion for the price. Burgers were tasty. Good service, usually there is a queue.

A really good venue, full of character, great beers, good company and of course fantastic music - this time from Soft Machine who are one of my favourite bands. Thoroughly enjoyable evening, (even if it did take me 20 minutes to find it hidden in a labyrinthine industrial estate off the Blackhorse Lane). Looking forward to more events here in the future!

I've been drinking Signature Brew for awhile but this was my first trip to the actual brewery and it didn't disappoint 🍻 I when to see Orange Goblin play but got there a bit early because it was a lovely day and I fancied a pint in the sun before the show. There's plenty of outside seating and barrels and bits to rest your beers, as it was the Orange Goblin album launch and beers launch it would have been silly of me not to try their new beer Rocket Science, it was so good that I stuck to drinking it all night, the gig itself was great too, a great night out.

Went to see the Subways here who were amazing as always. Also saw a bit of JW Paris and they were also good. As a brewery its not designed as an events venue specifically and you can tell it's not set up properly for it compared to tailor made events venues. However, still had a good night. Easy to get to from Blackhorse Road tube station (roughly 10 minutes walk).

Yelp
Very nice small craft brewery with a cool tap room. I had a pint o Session IPA (Roadie) which was really good. When you pay, you give £2 deposit that you can get back at the end or swap for a can, which is a great alternative. Friendly staff.
