This was my second visit to this intimate establishment—originally discovered through a feature in Traveller magazine—and I arrived with open curiosity rather than specific expectations. To my delight, the experience was even more impressive than I remembered.
We pre-booked the 8-course dinner, and the progression was flawless from the first amuse-bouche to the final dessert. What truly stands out here is the delicate balance between French technique and Korean ingredients. It feels like a genuine marriage of flavors rather than a forced fusion; the result is French cuisine that is surprisingly light, clean, and refreshing, lacking the heaviness often associated with the genre. The venison dish, in particular, was exceptional—perfectly cooked and deeply flavorful.
The space itself is quite small and humble, yet it brims with personality. I learned that the tables were hand-painted by the owner's mother, whose artwork also adorns the walls. These touches transform what could be a cramped setting into something cozy and artistic. It doesn’t feel like a stiff gallery, but rather like dining in a creative friend’s home where every detail has a story.
The atmosphere is further elevated by a soulful backdrop of Blues and Jazz, setting a relaxed mood that complements a classy yet accessible wine list. We enjoyed a red from the Loire Valley that offered incredible value—balanced and not overpowering, it was the perfect companion to the delicate nuances of the meal.
Finally, the hospitality is the heartbeat of this place. The husband-and-wife team radiate genuine warmth. Even as the small dining room hit peak capacity, they never lost their smiles or attentiveness. Their positive energy, combined with truly "angelic" pricing for such a high-quality 8-course meal, made this a memorable evening. I am already looking forward to my third visit.
