Where to Eat in La Mesa | Eater San Diego

"La Mesa has a great spot for authentic Thai cuisine on Lake Murray Boulevard. Some menu standouts include popular dishes like drunken noodles and green curry, plus addictive specialities like pad prik Thai dum, a soft shell crab sautéed in garlic and black pepper sauce." - darlene-horn

Amazing! Signature Thai Cuisine is the gem in La Mesa area. We came back for several times already and every time we're here we are so impressed with the food is delicious, service from the staff is great and the decorations are beautiful, they changing in different theme of season. I highly recommended this place.

We celebrated my husband’s mom’s birthday there with a group of four, and our server, PiM, took amazing care of us. She surprised us with four complimentary, beautiful, and delicious boba drinks, along with free coconut ice cream. My husband and his mom were so impressed! The food was outstanding, especially the Three Flavor Fish and the Duck Curry. Prices were also very reasonable. Truly one of the best Thai restaurants I highly recommend!

Google
Great service! We got the chicken wings and spare ribs to start. Highly recommend the wings. I got the three flavor fish and my boyfriend got the Khao Soi. Both were delicious and went really well together. And mango sticky rice for dessert. So good. Will definitely go back!

Amazing. It was our first time there, my boyfriend and I were just hungry and in the area. We called ahead to make a reservation. When you walk in they have these beautiful Christmas decorations all over and warm/dim lighting that give it a very cozy atmosphere. Food is delicious. We had the chicken satay (the peanut sauce did not make it into the picture) and tom yum creamy seafood with a level 6 spice. They give you extra plates and small bowls with a serving spoon. It was enough food to fill both of us to where we walked out a little bloated after 😅 Staff was friendly and attentive. Well priced. Overall a well rounded restaurant Edit to add: There was more chicken on the plate but we had already grabbed some before the picture

I did a large order for visiting family and everyone enjoyed the food. There was an accidental mistake with the order, but Signature made it up right away. I ordered the beef salad and it was a 10 star. The slices of cucumber, the fresh salad and tomatoes were all excellent. But the beef steak in it was above and beyond quality. Good quality steak perfectly grilled! The mango sticky rice dessert was wonderful too, as was their yellow curry. The portions weren’t skimpy and processed were fair. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! Food was delicious. Our favorite Thai restaurant closed down so we needed to find a new place near our house, signature Thai was really delicious. We order the red curry and drunken noodles and it was amazing. Please go and check it out you won't be disappointed. The overall experience was pretty good, servers were checking our table several times on our short and late dinner date. I highly recommend it.

Google
We celebrated my nephews birthday yesterday at Signature Thai and had a wonderful time! This is our favorite Thai restaurant in all of San Diego and we are thrilled that we moved closer and get to visit often. However, last night was an even better experience! We had Amy as our server and she was fantastic!! Amy was attentive and patient with our large party. She made sure everything was perfect from refilling our drinks, to removing plates out of the way, to making sure the kids were comfortable and also cared for. Her attention to detail and customer satisfaction exceeded our expectations and that says a lot since this spot is already ranked really high on our list! We enjoyed seeing the wonderful thematic decor (Easter decor is up and very cute), the fish tank, and trying new delicious items on the menu. We were not disappointed! Everything we picked was very delicious and the plates are very well portioned.

Yelp
Good food and very friendly service. Crab fried rice was amazing. Parking is plentiful.

Yelp
This place feels like a truly hidden gem! Literally 5 min. from us. I've lived in the neighborhood 3 yrs, my dinner companions 30+ yrs and none of us had been here. When we have since told multiple friends about our fantastic experience here they all said they've been coming here for years! We came in on a whim because we were craving Thai & saw that this place was close by. Decided to drop by & dine in. Weren't expecting much from the unassuming strip mall location but were pleasantly surprised the minute we opened the door. Were greeted warmly, seated quickly, and the decor was so cute, at this time decorated for Easter...on future visits always accordingly festive. The food was fantastic and they are very cognizant to ask what level of spice you think you can handle. We tried pork fried rice, pad Thai w/chicken, & yellow curry with chicken, all were delicious and served family style in portions that were generous enough for leftovers to take home. However, the star of the meal was the Tom Kha soup! We added shrimp, but we could all eat it with no added meat and would have been just as amazing. Perfect balance of sweet, citrus, & spice. Would come here every week just to eat the soup. Oh, and not to mention the prices are extremely reasonable! Love this place & Will keep coming back and recommending.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, I definitely need to come back here. I tried their soft shell crab pad Thai, which was out of this world! It's the perfect amount of savory with that classic pad thai taste. It's not overly saucy and not dry at all. The noodles are so chewy and the soft shell crab really adds a good layer of flavor and crunch that you won't get with regular chicken/shrimp/tofu pad thai. The restaurant is dimly lit, which kind of makes it a more relaxed atmosphere. It's a little small inside so I can see it getting loud or easily busy if there's a lot of people. The server was very attentive and made sure to clear our plates right away when we were finished.

Yelp
First time visiting. We had the cream cheese wontons, pad thai with fried tofu and shrimp, and panang curry. Everything had great flavor but the textures/consistencies were a bit off. The cream cheese filling in the fried wontons was loose so it just fell out after the first bite. The curry and pad thai noodles had a starchy texture to both dishes. The curry was the most noticeable. Bummer because the flavors were really good. Service was attentive until the restaurant got busy and service dipped a bit. I loved the style of the restaurant. They did a good job with the space.

Yelp
We ordered for pick up. Cream cheese wontons, chicken salad, and pad woosen. Cream cheese wontons were undercooked and the skin was almost gooey like uncooked bread. Flavor was good but they were mostly inedible. The salad was sad, maybe less than a cup of actual lettuce, most of it was wilted or starting to decay. The chicken was dry. Absolutely awful for $17. My husband enjoyed the Pad Woosen. Would not eat again for take out.

Yelp
Always a great please for Thai I was disappointed with the host's attitude he said booths were reserved. No personality and just rude and should be gone I asked to speak to the owners a he said they were not in! I will be calling every time to reserve the booth for now on.

Yelp
The best experience at Signature Thai occurs when dining in. The takeout experience however was still notably lower in quality albeit faster. Service was friendly but the food took a while to come out. Spice levels went from 1-10 with 5 packing a reasonable heat for me. Entrees came out at different times and there were strange gaps in between dishes. *Thai Tea: heavily sweetened and milk forward. The tea was fragrant but the ratio skewed towards the half and half. *Papaya Salad: crisp, fresh papaya coated in a spicy and sour sauce. The dried shrimp and peanuts offered some crunch and saltiness. The tomatoes were my favorite since it soaked up all the marinade. *Pad Se Ew: personal favorite. The noodles were thicker and chewy. The sweet and salty sauce went well with the tender chicken. The vegetables were cooked down well and sof *Pad Thai: when dining in, the noodles were pleasantly bouncy and long. There was a prominent lime flavor in the sauce and the crushed peanuts added earthiness. This overall dish benefited from additional spice and the added protein was generously portioned out. *Crying Tiger: the meat was incredibly chewy and tough. There was little seasoning on the meat and I was expecting a stronger marinade. The steak was difficult to cut through and we had to shred through the tough fibers. *Tom Yum: the large version provided a portion for everyone in my group of 6. The seafood selection included mussels, squid, whitefish, and shrimp. While the protein was good, the broth was rather mild. It lacked spice and acidity. Despite ordering this at level 5, this was noticeably blander than our noodles. *Mango Sticky Rice: the mango was slightly sweet but the rice was very mushy. The coconut milk was throughly soaked in. This resembled sweet porridge rather than the traditional dessert. Although my takeout was prepared promptly, the noodles were mangled and fragmented. The flavors were not as developed nor savory as when I dined in. Overall, the noodle dishes are the tastiest although not the most consistent. When executed well, Signature Thai serves up some of my favorite Thai dishes.

Yelp
Really fun to walk into this place as it is brimming with character. Daniel was our very attentive waitstaff member who took good care of us. A gentleman took my father and I here as a way to say thank you. He enjoyed a delicious fish of yellow curry. I think he's a repeat customer Dad and I split a lunch special pad Thai which was so large we had enough to take some home. Although we asked for it not to be spicy it had a bit of a kick. The soup was interesting. Not quite sure what type it was but should have asked them to heat it up as it was tempid. They were kind enough to bring one for each me and dad even though we split our meal. Given the great experience I hate to write this but the Pad Thai was not quite what we are used to do. If we were to go back we'd try something else.

Yelp
I haven't tried many Thai places in San Diego admittedly, but this spot has been a great starter. The service was great and Server Kwan was attentive and all smiles. Very homey atmosphere and most of the food was great as well. Crying Tiger (comes with rice): Usually a specialty in many Thai places, but this dish surprisingly fell short. Beef was not high quality and extremely tough and hard to cut. There wasn't enough flavor and citrus in the sauce for me to enjoy. Pad See Ew: The best dish here by far. I've tried many Pad See Ew dishes, but this one surprised me by the smoky flavor and the soft duck. So much flavor! Tom Yum Soup: Above average soup. I liked the chili and peppers in the broth and there was a vast amount of seafood with an array of mussels, shrimp, fish, and squid. There was no rice provided alongside and an extra bowl costs $3. Papaya Salad: This was an amazing starter! I love fish sauce and tons of citrus so this was a pleasant surprise. The texture was great with the small bits of fried shrimp and crunchy papaya and carrot. Mango Sticky Rice: This desert was a bit of a let-down. Overly wet and sweet, but at least the mango tasted high quality. Thai Tea: Same as the sticky rice, unnecessarily sugary. Although some dishes were a bit of a letdown, I wouldn't let that dissuade anyone from trying out this spot. The servers were amazing and the Pad See Ew will be in my dreams tonight.

Yelp
Thai food is one of my favorite food and sometimes it's really too hard to find good ones in San Diego. I found this place while I was running errands with my friend and we decided to try this place out. Ever since I tried this place out I can't stop coming back. I came back again for my birthday and brought my family so that they could try it too. There Is plenty of seating inside and outside. Plenty of parking. The inside is nice, I really like how they decorated it. The food is absolutely delicious! When they ask you about the spice level be honest and if you don't know how spicy their levels are ask because their food can get spicy! The employees are wonderful, very friendly and kind. They're also helpful if you're unsure what to order, offering recommendations based on what you like and what you are open to trying something new.

Yelp
Still 5 Star! Came by for a dinner date and the head chef cooked our dinner. We ordered Drunken Noodle. And OMG, we were blown away! You could taste the difference. You could taste the char. It's wonderful when you can truly taste the care and skill a chef puts into a dish. The char adding that extra layer of flavor and umami was incredible. We also love that the servers are always so sweet and have exceptional service. They do try to remember each of their guest and they always sit us at "our table" or so we think ha! Either way, having a "special table" definitely adds to that warm and welcoming feeling.

Yelp
Welcoming atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food with a beautiful presentation! Rarely do you see food in a menu and have it come out nearly as excellent in appearance- except here!! I had orange chicken, friend had one of the curries and another had a fabulous meal with Currie and grilled chicken added All were delicious! Finished with the FBI fried bananas ice cream and also sweet rice with generalizes of mango---all incredible!!! I highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to go back!!

Yelp
A friend recommended this place and I was in the area for lunch. First, the place is very cozy, clean and a great ambiance. Second, the staff was attentive, accommodating and helpful. Water was refilled quickly and they had enough staff to support the full restaurant. Third, the food was delicious, proteins were well portioned and cooked well. The flavors were complex and and you want more. Since this lunch meal, I ordered take out and the food quality was excellent again. I highly recommend.

Yelp
It's has been a while since we found a good Thai restaurant. This is place is very nice, great customer service and the food is bomb. Papaya salad is very good. It's hard to find a good Thai place have good papaya salad and we were so happy and thrill when we taste it. It's very good. Refreshing Green curry, Tom kha and basil eggplant were all good. The food seasoning is very great with our taste. The server was friendly and nice. I will definitely come back here.

Yelp
The food was all super worth wild. You get a good amount for what you are paying for, we had leftovers too! It is a decent size restaurant, we went around lunch but didnt have to wait. The spice level was a good spice level, if you like spicy you can ask for medium but mild had a bit of a kick to it too! They gave you a lot of the mango sticky rice too which is rare a lot of Thai places ive been too they dont give to too much mango sticky rice.

Gayle N.

Yelp
Delish every time. I love the lunch special with the egg roll and salad too. The tofu yellow curry is my go to order. And the pick up is easy if you don't want to eat there.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in, this place screams Amazing Thailand--from the intricate wood carvings to the golden Buddha statues, it's like stepping into a Thai temple with a side of Pad Thai. The ambiance is on point, transporting you straight to the bustling streets of Bangkok--minus the humidity and tuk-tuks. Now, let's talk about the food. I'll be honest, I wasn't blown away, but maybe I just didn't order the right dish. The flavors were there, but they didn't quite hit that bold, aromatic punch I was expecting. That being said, the service was warm and welcoming, and since it wasn't too busy when we walked in, our food came out lightning-fast. Would I give it another shot? Probably--because every restaurant deserves a second chance, especially when it looks this good. Next time, I'll go for something more adventurous and see if it changes my mind!

Yelp
Visited Signature Thai Cuisine and ordered the Drunken noodles with shrimp , large Tom Yum soup with shrimp and Pad Thai with Shrimp with level 3-4 on each dishes. Next time I will go up a couple notches in spice levels because a 4 wasn't spicy at all. The Drunken noodle was decent, however it was somewhat bland. The Tom Yum soup was delicious, wish there was more shrimp. That was the common theme throughout the dishes, not enough shrimp, even though you pay extra for it! The Pad Thai was good. I will give Signature another try, maybe another dish.

Yelp
We came here for their lunch menu on a Friday and were surprised it was so busy and bustling with people. The servers were pretty busy and didn't take our order for quite awhile however the food came out extremely fast which made up for the wait.

Yelp
This place exceeded my expectations for a strip mall restaurant. Beautiful on the inside. Food was fresh and flavorful with GORGEOUS presentation. Staff was so nice and attentive. Even offering recommendations on the dishes. Had zero issues splitting our bill for us. Will be my go to Thai place from now on.

Yelp
I spent nearly $50 on dinner - soup and appetizer while working on a Saturday. The soup came without rice that I paid extra for and unflavored even though I specified a spice level. Basically it was salty water with seafood. The deep fried wontons were decent. Maybe in person the experience is different but I literally took almost $50 and threw it in the trash. Unfortunate experience with Signature Thai

Yelp
Signature Thai Cuisine is perfectly named. It is truly 'cuisine' in terms of quality, portion size and service. 'Signature' means a unique characteristic, and is aptly descriptive of the dining experience here. Unfortunately, this outstanding restaurant is located is a rather shabby strip shopping center, made even less desireable by the closure of its anchor tenant Big Lots. In real estate speak, it is "in transition". Plainspeak: It's an eyesore. The upside: There is plenty of parking ! The menu itself is a work of art. It's rather large and heavy, bound by book-like burgundy faux leather covers. And yes, there are plenty of entree, appetizer dessert and drink choices with rather helpful photos of certain items. I've tried a number of entrees, but always return to Pad Thai. The portion is generous, and if you order it with chicken you won't have to search the dish for the protein. Service is always excellent, dare I say "Old School" quality? But this place is no secret, and it gets very busy at the usual times. They do take reservations, so it might be wise to avail yourself to avoid waiting. There is an outdoor patio fronting the parking lot, but the interior decorations of this restaurant are simply eye candy. The only downside (admittedly for some it would be an amenity) are the largish flatscreens on the walls showing Asian food videos and reviews. Distracting, to say the least. Pay attention to the food ! It's fabulous.

Yelp
Signature Thai has been a La Mesa staple with its incredible service and delicious food! The restaurant transforms for the holiday season and it feels so festive inside. I recommend making a reservation if you're going on a weekend as they tend to get busy but I was able to get a table inside without one. I got my go-to order of chicken drunken noodles and the chicken was cooked to perfection and the noodles were perfectly chewy. I only tried their level 1 spice and can definitely go spicier next time. I also got to try their cashew nut chicken at a level 7 spice which was flavorful with a bit of heat. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit next time you're craving Thai which if we're being honest is probably most of the time!

Yelp
TENS ACROSS THE BOARD! Our server, Kwan, ensured an exceptional experience from the food to the service!!! My friend and I started off with the Vegetarian Curry Puffs (unpictured)...I am now obsessed with them, especially knowing that these are not usually on the menu at other Thai restaurants. The outside is so crispy with the warm and savory curry filling. For our mains, we got the Pad See Ew and Crab Fried Rice. I will definitely be returning for them again... and mango sticky rice! The plating is everything. The interior of the restaurant is also very cute and modern! I love the hanging flowers that greet you at the door.

Yelp
What can I say? Probably the best Thai Food in SD. We had their pine apple fried rice , pad Thai, and orange chicken and it was delicious. Starting with the fried rice, it was a solid 9.5 out of 10, the rice was not sticky, had the right amount of eggs and vegetables Their Pad Thai was a 9 out of 10. Very well done The orange chicken was 8 out of 10, a little pasty but still better then most The service was a great 9.5 out of 10, the ladies here are kind and provide that old school Style of customer service

Yelp
One Thai place that has never disappointed us. Absolute favorite mango/sticky rice outside of Thailand. They get it right! Wait staff is sincere and helpful, and food comes out quick. Very quaint spot in an easy to overlook strip mall. Love eating here!

Yelp
I had the Khao Soi Curry noodles. It was delicious! The woman who took my order. Who was very nice told me that it comes with a chicken leg. And offered to give me white meat of chicken instead. I accepted. I did not know, however, that it was going to cost an extra three dollars. I also ordered a side of brown rice which added another $3. It does not come with rice as it comes with animals. It's one or the other. The dish came with some pickled vegetables which were interesting. Some cabbage, fried, crispy noodles and regular noodles. They were all packaged separately nicely. I still didn't feel that the soft noodles were cooked quite enough. But that might be because I had the order for takeout and if they were to serve it in the restaurant, the noodles will cook more in the sauce probably. I think we really were around four thirty ish, and there was no one in the restaurant except one table. Take out order took about fifteen or twenty minutes. You can enjoy the beautiful tropical fish in the fish tank as you are waiting. They even have a Sea Star!

Yelp
Recently moved to the La Mesa are and was in the mood for some Thai food. Yelp brought me here and will be coming back for more. There's in/outdoor seating, but I chose indoor. The restaurant gives off a relaxing intimate feel once you step in, there's a slight dimness to the lights which is satisfying to me. They have Halloween decorations up which I also appreciated. Upon sitting down to order our waitress was very kind and attentive. I ended up ordering the Pad Thai with mild spiciness. It was so delicious! I'd like to add that their portion sizes are HUGE! I did get spring rolls as an appetizer which too were also very tasty. I highly recommend!

Yelp
This eye-catching Thai restaurant is not only visually appealing from the outside but the inside is extraordinary! Once you walk in the door, you can feel the vibrant energy with the beautiful decor. There is also a fish tank that is so pretty too! If you are a fan of Curry like me, order it because o was blown away from the flavor. Upon ordering, a friendly waitress named Kaila was so sweet, helpful, and friendly. She greeted my Mother and I with the most beautiful smile and took her time to go over the menu with us. She was very attentive and checked in with us to see if we needed anything else throughout our lunch like an AWESOME Waitress does. I decided to try the Red Curry with Shrimp. A side of white rice accompanied my dish. My curry had a significant medley of colorful and tasty vegetables to give it extra flavor and that perfect crunch texture that is so satisfying was there! In addition to my red curry dish, I also had to order spring rolls that were total perfection. They were delicious and crunchy served with a sweet dipping sauce. The decor. service, and food was PERFECTION! This will be my new go to Thai Restaurant! What are you waiting for? Say Carla referred you!

Yelp
Amazing price point for their portions. To start, the thai iced tea was one of the best I've had in a long time. It was very rich and creamy. I ordered the tofu cashew nut stir fry and it was delicious. Plenty of tofu and cashews to go around. My friends panang curry was so flavorful as well! This is a must try Thai spot in La Mesa
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious every time. My favorites are Drunken Noodles with beef, Green curry with chicken, chicken Thai fried rice and the cream cheese wontons.
google avatar

Gilberto L.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, and it's perfect for a date spot. Definitely a smaller dining room, so larger parties might be a little difficult, but I haven't had to wait too long any of the times I've been here. Service is always fast, and servers check in often. I always start with their Tom Kha soup. Plenty of ingredients flavor each time. Went with their Pad Thai and Drunken Noddles on this visit. Now, spice is difficult to gauge. That being said, I'd recommend being careful if you're sensitive to spice. I enjoy spice, and sometimes their medium gives a little kick. Highly recommend trying their crab fried rice too!

Yelp
Pad See Ewww? More like Pad See YUM! This dish is consistently delicious--I can't get enough of it! Total comfort food win every single time and they make the best version of it in the area. Also, major props to their online ordering system. It's super easy to use--no passwords, no hassle. Just pop in your phone number, get a quick text code, and boom, you're logged in. Your order history is saved, so reordering your faves is just a few clicks away. Plus, the interior decor? Absolutely charming. It's got a vibe that makes you want to hang out even after you pick up your food ... but I don't. I'm a 100% take out order kinda person.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend. It is very good and clean. The waitresses are always so nice as well and give good recommendations on what to order and how spicy! Salmon curry, orange chicken, pineapple fried rice were all delicious. Highly recommend and their thai teas. FYI they don't accept AMeX!

Yelp
First review in a while. We were craving some Thai food and found this place on Yelp. Parking seemed plentiful, though we were definitely before the dinner rush. Great service great food and a very clean restaurant. I had the pork fried rice, #4 heat level and it had a bit of a kick but was very good. My wife's dish (I don't remember what she got) was a #5 heat level and though she does heat well, she said she should have gotten #4. Mango sticky rice was excellent for dessert. I can't wait to go back to this place and highly recommend it, if you're looking for a great dining experience.

Yelp
The best Pad Thai in San Diego county! The perfect amount of sweet and savory. Every dish we ordered was top tier. Having been to Thailand numerous times the food here is the most authentic I have had state side. The server Kaila was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our family loved the food and will 100% be coming back for more. The location was clean and inviting big enough to have several families/ groups dining at once, but not too big where it feels too big to be comfortable.

Yelp
Our first time at Signature Thai Cuisine and it was very good. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member who I later learned was named "Ball." After we sat down, Ball was super helpful and told us about many of the authentic dishes that served including pad see Ew. We started the meal with Shrimp tempura and it was tasty. I do prefer a lighter batter so I can taste the food underneath, so this may be how it's prepared in Thailand. I took Ball's recommended and ordered the pad see Ew while my friend ordered Curry but I'm not sure which one. The initial smell and taste of the Pad See Ew was not like any other Thai food I've ever had so I was initially unsure why there was such a discrepancy. Thankfully the owner, Yui, came out to explain that this is a traditional Thai dish from Northern Thailand (hope I got that right). She mentioned that the soy sauces they use plus other ingredients are what she grew up with. This raised the question that some of the other Thai places I've been to were preparing their dishes to cater towards Americans. Regardless, my understanding has grown and now I look forward to enjoying more original/authentic Thai cuisine. After our entrees, Ball once more suggested sticky rice with mango which was got and really enjoyed. It's such a rarity to find such an outgoing server like Ball so I hope to see him next time I visit.

Yelp
My friend from Thailand highly recommended this restaurant as the most authentic that she has been to. I have to say that it's the best Thai restaurant I have ever gone to! The food is amazing, the service is outstanding and they have it beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day! If you're looking for a good Thai food, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Ellen Z.

Yelp
Pad Thai was fragrant and delicious, generous in the sauce. Yum. Vegetable curry puffs were tasty too, especially with the julienned vegetable garnish of what appears to be slender matchsticks of beets and carrots. Basically a samosa filling wrapped into an empanada, with a sweet sauce on the side. I added some spicy garlic sauce which added a kick to it. Great service but I'm not a fan of sitting next to the bathroom. Beautiful interior was decorated with Christmas decorations but I imagine the theme will change as we shift into the next upcoming holidays.

Yelp
I did some research on Yelp before choosing Signature Thai and Yelpers, you rock! We are vegetarian and this place booked is up. We had pad se woon glass noodle with tofu and veggies, drunken noodle with tofu which have wide noodles, tofu veggie soup large bowl, salmon in yellow curry, and stir fry broccoli and rice. They were all outstanding. The kids loved it all as did the adults. This place is a massive winner and great find.

Yelp
This place was pretty terrific ! The atmosphere is fun, it's always busy. The servers are so sweet and catering, they've even sat and served us when we've come in 30 mins to closing. The thing I will say is that not everything on the menu is impressive, but the things that are good are really well done. I found the noodle dishes a bit bland, but we love the soups, curries, and appetizers.

Yelp
I've been in Signature Thai twice now, for Mother's Day and my birthday. I can say that it's one of the best Thai restaurants in San Diego. I just spent my birthday with family and we ordered quite a few dishes to try. Everything was so good. My personal favorite was the Tom Yum Creamy Seafood and the Three Flavor Fish. My daughter especially loved the Pad That Soft Shell Crab. She's been craving it since the first time she's had it. Our server was Andy, and he was so prompt and professional. All the other servers also popped in to check on us from time to time. The owner, Yui, was also so gracious to greet us. Really appreciate the food and hospitality! We will be back soon.

Yelp
Our first time here, most definitely will not be our last. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and the Christmas decoration were over the top. Such a great dining experience at Signature Thai. Try the Khoi Soi Curry, it was so flavorful and unique, beautiful presentation. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Visiting La Mesa today, my sister suggested Thai food, and after browsing local options, I kept coming back to Signature Thai because their menu has so many atypical dishes I've never seen anywhere else. My sister said she'd only had take-out, so I'm glad we decided to dine-in for the full experience. It's wonderful inside, our service was fantastic. Nui, our lovely server, was very friendly and professional. In fact, several other employees also checked on us throughout the wonderful meal. My pick was the BBQ Chicken ($16), which was huge! A half chicken cooked in a special marinade, over salad, with sticky rice and two dipping sauces. 5/5. Also delicious was the cucumber salad, my sister's yellow curry with tofu, and the satay chicken was equally good. My gf got her favorite pad woo sen, and again, it was noticeably better than most. Thai coffee and tea was a nice way to finish up, and I appreciated the seasonal specific decor. Tonight was autumn themed. Thank you Nui it was a great first visit here.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food in San Diego. Great ambience for being in a strip mall next to a liquor store
