You may not know this, but inside that little stand is some of the best food you've ever had. If I lived in Miami, I'd be there every day until I'd tried the entire menu, then I'd start over.
With 2 teens in tow, we got a good idea of what chef Nancy is capable of.
The bread on the Banh Mi was fluffy and light. The sauce was limey and perfect with the chicken and veggies. I went to a place in TX with Houston's most celebrated chef--he's getting a note from me later--this one was better.
The hamachi crudo--everyone does this! But who adds coconut sauce and the crispiest crunchies rice chips ever? Sili does! This is a dish you would expect from a Michelin starred fine-dining restaurant, not a little stand in an Asian food hall. But there, you'll find it for a fraction of the price.
Both kids had rice bowls, one spicy, one tame. Both were made with succulent chicken thighs, tangy vegetables and sticky rice perfected. Again the sauce was the stand-out.
I had the Summer rolls with pork. They were big and full of fresh vegetables. I would have eaten 10!
Both chefs hail from amazing--expensive--restaurants and love what they do. It shows!
Nancy and Leicel--Please, Please, Pretty Please move to California!
