"Sure, you could go to Silk City during the day and have a nice brunch in their funky, colorful outdoor beer garden. You could come for dinner in the retro diner car. Or you could show up a few drinks deep at midnight and head straight up to “The Lounge,” where they have a bar, guest DJs, and a dance floor that’s always full. Located in Spring Garden, the menu is packed with comfort foods like short rib mac and cheese, bacon-wrapped meatloaf, and crispy buttermilk fried chicken. "As if the authentic diner car as the main seating area isn’t cool enough, Silk City boasts one of the nicest outdoor dining spots in the entire city, as well as a downstairs lounge for dinner service and DJ nights. Despite the classic shiny exterior, the menu here goes above and beyond your typical diner fare, particularly for brunch: the fried chicken and waffles (that’s ONE dish, not two!) is the perfect sweet-and-savory option, and the salmon eggs benedict is a personal favorite. Be forewarned: Silk City’s excellent brunch reputation precedes itself, so expect a wait on an average weekend morning, particularly if it’s nice outside." - The McQuades

Located in a renovated old-school diner, the menu cuisine hops. So you’ll see amped-up crowds sharing everything from solid burgers and glazed salmon to seitan wings pre- and post-dance floor. It's a diner and lounge in Northern Liberties that’s good for just about any drinking, dancing, and questionably romantic situation.
