Baseball and Brews Pub Crawl Boozes Its Way Through Pioneer Square This Weekend | Eater Seattle

"I note Silver City Brewery is hosting its eighth annual Mariners Pub Crawl in Pioneer Square after the game against the Angels; the booze-filled tour visits more than 10 bars and restaurants and runs roughly 1:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., though ticket sales have ended and anyone going to the Mariners game or who likes beer can join at participating locations." - Maggy Lehmicke

Visiting from the midwest, have gone twice now and each time have a good selection of beers. They lean towards IPAs, but have something for everyone. Cute outdoor space and lots of parking. Good stopping point if going from forks/coast to Tacoma or vice versa. Check out their merch!

Google
Tasty food and beer. The chicken pot pie had a wonderful flavor but was strangely devoid of anything green whatsoever which seemed weird. Yummy salad! Big bubble on my kid's pizza which if it was my pizza I would have been bothered by, but they didn't mind and said the pizza was uncommonly good for a kid's menu pizza.

Google
The atmosphere is always great-you feel like you are at a resort. The service is friendly and fast. The beer is great. However...this time we have to say there was definitely a problem. We ordered the feature appetizer for $17.49-a corn dip. What we got-a small ramakin of corn with some cheese (just a little) probably 1/2 a cup in all, and a handful of chips. Oh...and two sprigs of cilantro. I could make this at home (even have the ramakins) for about $2.00. We were appalled. The salad was okay (cobb) but again, the portion was incredibly small. Not at all what we expected. We do love the beer-and the atmosphere-but we will think twice before coming back.

Tiffany M.

Google
The establishment provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, conducive to socializing and unwinding with colleagues. The staff is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that every patron feels valued and respected.

Google
Beers are decent, staff is alright. Not a bad place to wait out traffic for an hour. I don’t suggest playing their trivia night - they allow the regulars to cheat with impunity - ask me how I know lmao. When I got the dude cheating and called him on it they 86’d me. Boo hoo, guess I’ll find another place to drink mid beers 🤷‍♂️

Google
We enjoyed the spot, definitely new customers here. But I will say that the food was really nice. I actually hardly eat burgers – but the mushroom burger with the poppyseed bun was five stars out of five! I wish they had a little bit more cider options, but perhaps that’s just something to think about for their team. Staff was friendly, place was busy, and I would love to come back to try a little bit more.

Google
Silver City is amazing. Probably the best collection of superbly crafted beers anytime you go to any brewery any day. When you taste, think about the beer style, it's aroma, flavor, mouth feel, and finish... Can't help but appreciate how refined SC's products are. Recently, Alive & Amplified is such a great IPA because bitterness is lower but its layered with flavor! Ranger West IPA is also pretty nice! 😁 The first time ever visiting here my gf said she never liked any brewery ('cept Cascade BH in PDX), but that day she *loved* SC. I agreed completely, we got a second flight and virtually everything was fabulous quality. The best back then? For juicy IPA, Tropic Haze! It was just weeks before the first ever cans came out; for BBA, Strange Love and Time Traveller; Pilsner--Cold One; For experimental pilot beers, Pow Pow IPA... The advantage of the brewery is you do get to try new stuff being developed. Today the Oktoberfest was great, a bit sweet sonce a märzen and not a pure lager. The überfest was good too. Tropic Haze seemed to be different... maybe the source of hops changes in the last, year or so or maybe the head brewer. 🤔 Still tasted good but the nose was muted...don't remember that

Google
I was able to take a quick tour of the facility here today. The whole place was super clean and tidy. Watching the canning line was a real treat. Very cool to see how the whole process works. Although I don't drink, this would be the spot to come for a tasting. They had an incredible selection of in-house brews. If you are ever in the area, swing by and say hello. You will not be sorry.

Yelp
The food is fantastic, the pizza was so good and there are a lot of pizza places around, if you haven't been you should try it out
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
Excellent food, especially the clam chowder and the Greek pizza! The amber ale I had was also very good. Great service. I picked up a t-shirt on my way out. Loved this place!

Yelp
Great brewery with an awesome staff!! I was diggin the Ridgetop red! Thanks for the excellent service cleaning and filling my keg at the last minute!!
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
A group of us went here and enjoyed seemed to enjoy the food. It's spacious. The pizza I had was delicious. I would go again when I'm in town.
google avatar

Scott W.

Yelp
Great beer, awesome people. Thank you to Malcolm, Dakota and Viv for the friendly greetings, continued warmth and amazing service! Definitely our favorite place to spend time and have a tasty beer.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Awesome taproom that is a regular stop for happy hour. They regularly have different food trucks available to grab a quick bite too. The tour of the brewery was also a fun group activity.

Fred G.

Yelp
Their Ridgetop Red is my favorite malt beverage. I've very sad - it's a great beer - but there's something wrong with their canning process. A good one in ten cans is not sealed properly, resulting in flat beer and sticky cans. The six-pack boxes often stick to the shelf at my local Total Wine and More...which moved it to a bottom shelf not long after this problem started happening three or four months ago. Weather has been very mild and unseasonably warm during that period, save for one week when it got really cold. It ain't due to freezing temps. I've reached out to them via email and in FB messages. They do not respond. It's $2 per can retail and I'm not a fan of throwing away $2 out of every $20 I spend on it.

Yelp
A group of us stopped into Silver City for a couple slurps after touring the USS Turner. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Silver City doesn't have a kitchen; however, outside food is allowed. Restaurant delivery menus are also provided if one desires to place an order. Complimentary pretzels are provided to munch on while slurping refreshing beer and playing one of the many board games that are available. Silver City swag as well as canned/bottled beer is available for purchase. My wife had a couple 16oz Panther Lake Porters for $4.82 each. I had a couple 16oz Tropic Haze IPA's for $5.05 each. Both beers were flavorful. My wife purchased a pullover hoodie for $40 and a 500ml bottle of Strange Love for $14.99. I purchased a 6-pack of Tropic Haze for $8.99. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Silver City beer is fresh, fun and tasty. My only regret is not purchasing a couple more 6-packs of Tropic Haze at the brewery where it's much cheaper than in my local grocery stores.

Yelp
Taproom. This is for the taproom in Bremerton. Make sure you know which is which, because there is a bomb restaurant in Silverdale too. But if you just want to grab a great beer, go to Bremerton and checkout the taproom. The service is great and so are the Secret Society benefits! They cycle beers you can't get in cans as well. Support your local breweries!

Walter D.

Yelp
Every food choice we have had has been top notch. Today we had the Black Jack (Cajun style) Burger. WOW, that is a winner!
google avatar

Maryann B.

Yelp
Oh my goodness!! Gluten free Mac n cheese!! And gluten free garlic bread with a side salad and a drink...delicious! Grands loved the Mac n cheese too.
google avatar

Kaz T.

Yelp
Beer was good. Had a special for buying a case that was a great deal. Staff attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Silver City Brewery never fails to continually amaze me with the quality of the great beers they produce. Last night I had the pleasure of drinking a glass of my all-time favorite SC beer, Magnificent Scotch Ale (aka & the original Fat Bastard) . But yesterday was a special day in that they just released a limited production beer (only 30 cases) named Mysterious Familiar Coconut Vanilla Dessert Stout, and I must admit that I'm not one to normally go for beers like this one, but it ticked all the boxes and so I had to give it a try. OMG. What a wonderful beer and it tasted exactly like I expected. The smooth yet strong flavor of a stout, along with a mild hit of coconut and vanilla. What's not to like about that combination? I was so impressed I took a pair of 4-packs home. I'll share one with my son the next time we go over to Seattle for a visit and keep the other strictly and selfishly for myself to enjoy since neither my wife or any of my neighbors like beer. So if you live in the area and live SC beer, then drop everything you're doing and get there fast as this beer will not last long. Hopefully they'll produce even more again soon as I'd love to fill up one of my personal kegs with Mysterious Familiar Coconut Vanilla Dessert Stout.

Cathy P.

Yelp
Love this place. Always great food. Great selection of beverages with the full bar along with all the SC beers. Servers are always at the top of their game being very attentive and accommodating. I love how strangers sit at the bar tables together and that you have a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. All in all our favorite place in town.

Yelp
The wait is usually short to get a table. Service good. Love the Washington apple salad!
google avatar

Yelp
I would have given this restaurant 5 stars but we felt that it was a bit high priced. That being said the clam chowder was not only good but very filling. The salad was also a generous serving and the thousand island dressing was different but tasted quite nice. Korean bbq Chicken wings and rice were very good you could taste the soy sauce, ginger and sesame they was a little bit of spicy but nothing I would consider hot. The service we got from Caitlyn was wonderful she's a sweet gal that was very attentive. I would definitely recommend going in to see her!
google avatar

Claudette B.

Yelp
Beer, food and service were very good. Friendly for kids. Parking is easy. Easy to get to from the highway.

Yelp
Silver City Brewery. Special trip. November 1, 2018 Jessica greeted us and Ari served us. It is always a pleasure to visit Silver City Brewery We went specifically for the release day of this short seasonal run of Old Scrooge Bourbon Barrel: ABV 9.5% - IBU 26 Style: Bourbon Barrel Hops: Willamette, Nugget Malts: NW Pale, British Pale, Munich and Caramel This seasonal special brew is smoother than last year's brew. It has an exquisite finely crafted flavor. The brew has been aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels Since last Christmas. Small run: They only had 34 beer barrels from eight whisky barrels. The aroma is of wood, candied fruit with hints of vanilla. The first taste is silky smooth with the bourbon barrel flavor coming to the forefront. The other flavors ease out in this full bodied fine beer to a long relaxing finish. *****++ stars.

Yelp
I don't know how I haven't reviewed this place yet! I've been going for years every time I'm headed through the area... Pros? Most of their beers aren't super filtered, so they have a variety of One of the best German style hefeweizens around that isn't imported! Really good food Friendly service Cons? Can get super crowded Some menu items are better than others, but that's to be expected when there's such a variety
google avatar

Ricky R.

Yelp
Not much needs to be said here!! I have had so many silver city beers that I am absolutely in love with and my wife and I have planned on visiting for years. We finally made the trip out and we were not disappointed. The beer was still great and the location was cool!! Will visit again for sure!!
google avatar

Gillian Y.

Yelp
Really great beers! They had two spiked seltzer and a cider. I enjoyed all my selections in the flight of 4. My other taster was a porter that was SO tasty! The staff was so cool and super friendly. The other customers also really nice and fun group of regulars. Peach IPA is fantastic, we bought a 6 pack to go for about $10. They have cold cans, bottles, and growlers available to purchase.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Gotta go during their happy hour from 3-5pm Monday - Friday, $3.50 pints! I didn't realize how popular their Tropic Haze IPA was, it is very hard to get, but at the Brewery they obviously have plenty of supply so I picked up four 6 packs. Friendly staff and fast service, parking can be a bit confusing, but I was told they are expanding so that should be easier in the future. A bit hokey location, being next to a cremation place and a carpet wholesaler. I will go again!

Anthony G.

Yelp
Cool brewery, good beer, with ample outdoor seating. Allows you to bring food in, offers chips onsite. Would've given 5 stars but the bartender, a taller redhead male was a bit rude thus ruining the experience a little bit.
google avatar

Carlos A.

Yelp
Great place to have a beer. No food though so bring your own. Plenty tables on their parking lot to enjoy your beer outside. Lots of choices, if you're in the area it is certainly a place to try.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick beer and stayed for a few hours. 22 beers on tap and could stop sampling. The beer is all good and flavorful. This is hands down the best brewer I have been too. Beer is outstanding. Lots of seating and a few TVs. Just eat before you come since you won't want to leave anytime soon. They staff will talk to you about brewing or anything else you want to talk about. Sat at the bar and just observed. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to visit and worth making a trip to Bremerton just to come here. Cheers!

Sam T.

Yelp
I know for a fact Marie B on here is a jealous piece of crap that obviously wants Lyndsi's navy hubby. I went to school with Marie B and have witnessed her be homophobic first hand, and she says the r slur all of thWhat a sad person. Obviously her FALSE REVIEW is a tactic to break them up so she can have lyndsis hubby all to herself. Lyndsi, while I can't believe your name is spelled like that (I'm going to frow up looking at it) whatever. GO TO HELL MARIE B.
google avatar

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying I was particularly hurt by my experience because I've been a loyal customer for over a decade and I love their beer. But last time I was there, the service was terrible. Got there 15 min before close, spent a few minutes talking about which beer to get with a cool bartender, but then her rude apparent boss bartender refused to pour me a beer since she claimed it was after last call. Not there were still a ton of people outside drinking and this lady had just poured a beer for some one else.
google avatar

Marianne L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed Silver City ... was visiting my daughter and she took me there. Great beer selection. Staff was very knowledgeable for beer selections too
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
Loved this brewery!! I have had the beers before and was excited to stop in while close by. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. The 2 girls working were fun and nice. The beer was in point. Left with a shirt, growler and case!!!!

Alexander W.

Yelp
This beer should be sold everywhere it's that damn good. I'm south of the Portland area and will drive over to Total Wine or BevMo in Vancouver to get this beer. I was doing a trip to Olympic National Park and realized I'd be driving right by the brewery I had to make a stop in. I got the Ripe N Juicy on tap that I've been wanting to try since they don't sell that in cans, super delicious. It was my birthday and I brought that up when she asked what we were doing and the beer was on the house which was awesome. They had a in-house special of cases of Tropic Haze or Ridgetop Red Ale (4x6 packs) for only $24.99 and I bought a case of Tropic Haze since that's such a dang good price. Anyone that happens to be driving through Bremerton, WA or can pick this up in a store near you should do themselves a favor and try this out. The Ride the Spiral Pineapple Orange IPA is my favorite.

Amanda V.

Yelp
The beers are amazing. The lady working there was so nice. Recommended beer for me. The guy had a manager persona and mentioned "I don't want to be here past 8 longer than I have to." My group of 4 each had 4 beers each, 3 growler fills and I my self purchased a six pack and bought the beer for the guy behind me because he waited so patiently. I ripped open my six pack and opened a beer and my friend opened his tall bottle. I had no clue I wasn't supposed to open the beer on company property, we were just having a good time, minding our own business. Then half way through my beer and about 1/4 the way through my friends bottle the bartender grabs our beers, starts yelling at us and dumping our beers out and asking us why we thought it was OK. I didn't know it wasn't ok, my friend did and apologized. I see that we were in the wrong, and I feel bad for that. But we purchased many beers from his astablishment and he treated us like dirt. He could have easily said, "you arent suppose to do that, im going to have to take those" but he was a total jerk. His reaction actually sent me into a panic attack which is beside the point. Treat your patrons with respect, even if they do something stupid, like we did. Again, we are sorry for breaking the rules, but honestly, being a newby at a brewery, I didnt know there was rules like that. He scared the shit out of me and I'm not going back.

Yelp
I love this place, but it doesn't lack amazing reviews, so I haven't reviewed until now. I realized that while the locals are fully aware of the asset that we have in this brewery with great food, travelers may need my input. This is my local go to for beer and mac and cheese, but, I could find that at several other places. The reasons I always consider Silvercity first is the vibe and beer choices. Vibe: energetically stimulating! When I'm tired on a Friday, at the end of my work week, I need this energy. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating. Even with the huge clientele Silvercity has, the servers remember us and our drink orders. The bar is the best place to sit for energy and quick service. If you want to sit in a dining area spot, in the evening, after 5:30, expect to wait for a table. Beer: Silvercity has 5 of their taps at all times. My fav is the Panther Lake Porter. They also offer 5-6 special and guest taps that rotate by the month which include ciders. My wine choice: Aquinas (Malbec) Why do I like their mac and cheese? Lots of tillamook cheddar and big penne. I order without the panko toasted topping.
google avatar

Olivier N.

Yelp
Awesome freakin beer. I really enjoy SCB, their philosophy of quality beer, and the friendly people. Their happy hour at the taproom is absolutely great. I think beers were around $3/pint. I don't have much else to report here, only that the beer is fantastic.
google avatar

Ss S.

Yelp
Tropic Haze is refreshing! Tastes just like liquid Lily Koi (passion fruit). Dee-licious! The Porter is strong and robust. I enjoy this after a hard day. Customer service is great! They allow you to taste before you order which I appreciate. Very good beer for an affordable price. They do beer tours Sat/Sun around 3pm-4pm that lasts for about 1.5 hr and its $10/person. More tasting!
google avatar

Karynne T.

Yelp
Silver City Brewery is a nice little nook in a warehouse area. Right when you walk in, there is a bar area that you can sit at with all the taps on the wall. It is a pretty nice sight and the beer is definitely pretty good here. They have a seating area with high stools and tables as well as a lower seating area with large tables. Near the lower tables there are barrels that surround the area and add to the ambiance of the brewery. They even sell some nice apparel that you can take home with you after you grab some of their brews. Overall, a really good place to visit!
google avatar

Natalie G.

Yelp
During Seattle beer week we won a VIP tour of their brewery for 20 people. Scheduling went smoothly and once our group all showed up we were off on our tour. The tour was very informative about the whole process and he answered any questions we had. We also got to sample their Ziggy Zoggy brew from the bright tank which was really neat, and very cold. After the tour we all got a pint of beer (choice between their IPA and red ale) then got to sample anything else we wanted to try. It was a great opportunity to get to try a lot of the beers they offer. I will be back when I'm in the area. It looked like they were dog friendly (not for the tour part of course), you could bring in your own food since they only offered a few snacks, and there was plenty of parking available in their lot.
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Great list for all beer lovers, light to dark!!!! Nice local spot, you can have food delivered, there's board games so everyone can meet and mingle.. also have amazing classic rock on the radio. It's tucked away, but well worth the drive no matter where you are.
google avatar

Naomi W.

Yelp
It's been a long time--my hubby was stationed here and we were out of state for a couple years. We were very excited to come back to the area!! Pretty bummed to come today and be turned away bc they are no longer kid and pup friendly. Too bad. We'd love to patronize but even if we have a kid free day, we won't be back.
google avatar

Robert Z.

Yelp
I have enjoyed many Silver City Brewery beers. Great variety, priced well, and always leaves me satisfied.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I was in the area with my family and it was getting late so we decided to stop in and have dinner. I went with the Sockeye Salmon BLT and I must say, I was really impressed by the size of the salmon that came on the burger - it was huge! Perfectly cooked, warm and flaky, and was complimented really well by the lemon dill dressing. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the bun. It tasted and felt a little too buttery for my liking but it was still good. As a whole the sandwich was close to perfect so if you have a love for salmon, I'd definitely recommend getting what I got, you'll be happy you did.
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
We love the house made Root Beer, chicken wings (appetizer), abd the chicken pot pie--A MUST. Whenever we're in the area, we come here!!!!!
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
My husband and I were impressed with the food. We had tacos and the salmon with Hawaiian salsa. For dessert we had the berry cobbler which I highly suggest. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When they found out it was our honeymoon they even gifted the cobbler to us. Overall good atmosphere and great food.
google avatar

Annie L.

Yelp
Wings are yummy. Their Mahi and Carne Asada tacos are yummy. Portions are smaller for their price especially their tacos. Their fries are steak style. Service is good. Ambience is nice and welcoming. But the Mahi tacos were the best!!!
google avatar

Gary W.

Yelp
The people who reviews included food have this place confused with the restaurant in Silverdale. This is Silver City's tap room in Bremerton. The atmosphere is great. They recently added a Digital Pour system so you can use the Digital Pour app and see what they have on tap. As of February of 2017 they have also added a cider tap.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I liked this spot. It was a pretty large space, there were quite a few people there too. I had a sour which was really good. I also sampled the Belgian triple, also very good. They had quite a selection of beer on tap, I would definitely recommend a stop by.
google avatar

Zachary J.

Yelp
I've spent a lot of time here and they have a continuous problem with making amazing beers! Their seasonal, pilot, and Bare Aged beers are typically fantastic. They also have some great staple beers that are year round. The taproom is always enjoyable with great regulars and service. They are not kid friendly, so that is worth knowing as some taprooms are and some aren't. No food, but occasionally have food trucks. All in all Silver City beer is probably in my top 5 breweries all time!
google avatar

Robin Z.

Yelp
If you are looking for an amazing beer selection this is the place to go!! Unfortunately it was just OK for food. Our Nachos were a pile of a lot of chips with a very small amount of burnt crusty cheese melted on top, very disappointing for the price. The rest of the food we had was Ok but again, for the price we expected better. We are a family of 4 with one child and with only one hard cider and no dessert the bill was $91.
google avatar

Janece L.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in the South Sound. I stop here every Thursday. Great service, delicious beer, and dog friendly. Josh is super helpful in understanding palettes. Love Silver City!
google avatar

D W.

Yelp
I'd go out of my way. Has that everybody-knows-your-name feel. Good brew, and unpretentious. 1/2 price growler fills on Sun and Mon. Any further questions?
