Gross, smelly, muggy and hot and a huge miss. Manager is not good and food not worth paying for. (My spinach omelette was ok). The drinks were all wrong and not good. They replaced it with orange juice and that was mid also. My kiddo asked for kids sliders and the manager brought over a beyond beef burger with something purple (nit an onion) and lots of arugula on it. I asked her was this the kids slider burger and she said yes. I thought it may be wrong but was not sure of how the sliders actually came. My 5 yr old just picked all the extras off the burger and tried to eat the burger. The waitress came over and said she noticed the burger is not what we ordered so she will take her food off the bill. Well, after the second bite she bit into the sharp end of broken toothpick that was in her burger. I told the waitress about it who then went and talked to manager. She came back and said the manager said she will talk to the cook about it… and that was it. While waiting for my check, I went to the front to find out when the check will come or if I could pay at the front because I had to go. The lady I talk to at the counter was who brought me the burger. I ask if she was the manager which she was. I said to her that I asked when she brought over the burger was it the kids slider in which she said yes. Well, she said I didn’t know what you said. I told her I asked twice and she said yes and handed me the burger. She had no care in the world about what happened to my kids. Terrible and gross. Avoid it!

Zuri was amazing! My groom and I came in for breakfast on the morning of our wedding, and she took exceptional care of us, without even knowing it was a special occasion (we didn’t mention it until we were leaving). Her warmth and attentiveness made the experience feel truly personal. The Blue Plate Specials were delicious as always, and the food arrived quickly and hot. A perfect start to our big day!

Google
Great food, the Triple Pickled Chicken Sandwich was packed full of flavor, our children enjoyed the grilled cheese and Mac and cheese with a side of fresh fruit. My only complaint was that they charged 3.29 for a cup of regular coffee. It had an awesome environment! Our waitress was kind and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

This diner is a breakfast lover’s dream! The omelettes were absolutely fantastic—fluffy, packed with fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfection. The rest of the breakfast menu didn’t disappoint either. The service was friendly and fast, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere made it a great spot to start the day. Whether you’re craving classic breakfast dishes or a hearty omelette, this diner is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back for more!

Added a side of bacon to the ancient grain and shrimp bowl; didn't need to, the quinoa was nut-like, olives meaty, sun-dried tomatoes surprising, watermelon radishes, more most enjoyable. I didn't read the menu carefully. I almost added a side of waffles!

Let me start off by saying that my server, Yancy, was an angel. She was so sweet and caring. She gave us great recommendations on what to try. We ended up getting the flat iron streak, the grilled salmon, and so much more stuff. It was delicious. I'm definitely coming next time and requesting her. She isn't like other servers. She really engaged with us, got to know us, and we got to know her, too. 10/10. I recommend her.

Google
Great food, atmosphere is a bit on the loud side, I understand the diner setting but there are times when we all are basically shouting across the table. Great servers, very welcoming and informative. Are all our food because it was great. The yogurt and fruit is a large serving our server was gracious to allow the cooks to separate it into two servings.

The food was good. Our waiter, Ashley provided us with wonderful service! I will be coming back here.

Yelp
Great food and even better service! I went for a classic breakfast--pancakes, eggs, and turkey sausage. It came out quickly, piping hot, and was absolutely delicious. The pancakes were fluffy, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the turkey sausage was seasoned just right. One downside: the bacon. If you're like me and prefer it crispy, definitely let your server know. It came out a bit flimsy, and I was a little disappointed. Other than that, everything was fantastic! The diner is quite popular, especially during brunch hours, and they don't allow you to put your name on the waitlist in advance. So, if you don't want to wait too long, I'd recommend getting there a bit earlier before peak times. Overall, a great spot with good food and friendly service. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
After reading the reviews, we decided to check out this local hot spot. We started with lunch but found it underwhelming. Since many reviews mentioned that breakfast was their strong suit, we gave it another shot the next morning. In short, this diner shows promise but is currently just average when it comes to food quality. Both our lunch and breakfast meals were... bland. A little more seasoning and flavor could go a long way and easily boost their rating from a 3.5 to a solid 4 or even 4.5. Don't count this place out, though, with a few tweaks, it has the potential to become a top tier diner.

Yelp
Decided to try some dinner options tonight & boy were we disappointed. I think we'll just stick to breakfast/brunch. I tried the crab cake platter which came with veggies and a side salad . I was given more of the burnt onion strings than veggies serving lol literally had 3 snap pea, a broccoli floret, a cauliflower floret and like a couple carrots pieces that were cut in tiny pieces. I couldn't believe it. No sauce for my crab cake and the crab cake was giving smashed like a salmon cake. Too salty & full of filler... For my hunnie I ordered him a turkey burger and he had more bread than sandwich. His fries tasted old as if they had just been sitting. Hard & cold...smh If it wasn't so late, I would've take this back! Fool me once! DEFINITELY WILL CHECK MY ORDER IF I EVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN BEFORE exiting!!! Just wasn't the breakfast experience that we were use to... Smh... Happy Yelping!

Yelp
I wrote a great 4 star review while waiting for the check that abruptly went to negative 48 stars (if possible). Went in, ate, had a nice time, and when we walked out the front door....SOAKED! There was a crew pressure washing the signs above the front door soaking every patron that walked out with dirty water! Zero excuse for this. Middle of the day, on a weekday, and during lunch time! Tons of patrons disgusted. Who planned this and why was no one telling them to stop?! Negative stats but now for the review I wrote BEFORE walking out the front door.... Clean, welcoming and fast service until we waited a while for the check. I had the caramel French toast with eggs and bacon. My husband had the tuna melt. Mine was fabulous. My husband said his sandwich was amazing but the fries were cold. Still a great meal in a fun place with . We will definitely be back here or try other locations.

Yelp
Finding a restaurant in the DMV with solid plant-based options for a toddler is no small feat, but Silver Diner has been our go-to after my son's basketball practice. The only issue? No plant-based options on the kids' menu--unless you count dessert. I'd love to pay kid prices for my kid's meal, but every time I try to order the oat milk protein pancakes from the kids' menu, it comes out wrong. So now? I just order from the regular menu and keep it moving. Parking & Seating Parking is super easy since it's located in a town center--no need to circle for a spot. The quoted wait time was 10-15 minutes, but we were seated closer to 10. Service & Drinks Our server greeted us and handed out menus, but when I initially asked for water, she only brought it for my partner and me--not my son. I assumed "water for the table" meant everyone, but lesson learned! For drinks, we ordered: * Watermelon Cucumber Lemonade - refreshing and flavorful! * Mocha Cold Brew - smooth, but our receipt later revealed a billing issue (more on that below). * Kids' Oat Milk - ordered after I realized my son's water never came. Food Breakdown * Apple Pie Stuffed French Toast (Bae's Order) - He enjoyed it but wished the apples were softer. He had to go get syrup himself since our server was by the expo window. * Bacon Bleu Burger with Fries (My Order) - Decent, but nothing mind-blowing. The fries tasted fresh but weren't the warmest. * Oat Milk Protein Pancakes with Just Egg (Kid's Order) - My toddler actually ate half of the pancakes and all his Just Egg, which is basically a win in toddler dining! The Bill & Final Thoughts Our subtotal was $71.23, but with taxes and tip, it came to $89.76. Later, I realized our server never removed the original coffee my boyfriend ordered before switching to a mocha cold brew. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely a note for next time. Will I return? Yes. The food is solid, and finding something a toddler actually likes is a win. But service can be hit or miss depending on the server, so I go in with realistic expectations. Overall Rating: 3.5/5 * Great plant-based options (just not on the kids' menu) * Easy parking & usually a short wait * Service is inconsistent * Warm, not hot, fries & billing mistake Pro Tip: If you're ordering plant-based for a kid, just go straight to the regular menu and don't mention it's for a toddler. Trust me.

Yelp
One day we'll be able to give half stars. Strong 4 stars. The food here is always delicious. One of our favorite spots when we are in this part of MD. Service is a touch slow so pack your patience. Also, we not ever been here when it isn't crowded. Come hungry not hangry in case you have a bit of a wait. They have a full service bar with a few drafts on tap.

Yelp
Beautiful building. Comfortable surroundings. Plenty of parking. Loved the space, except for the breakfast food. Sesame bagel (only bagel choice) wasn't toasted. Wasn't crunchy on the outside, so even the plastic Container of Philly cream cheese couldn't fix it. Grits were plentiful and tasteless. When i asked for Butter I got a single small plastic thimble. Coffee came in a large mug, and was very good!

Yelp
This is my go to for sure. The ppl are so pleasant. The atmosphere is welcoming and today Marcel our server was on point. He anticipated every need. I had the Blue special for Seniors 65 and over. The food comes out fast and fresh!!!! I could not eat all of mine. I love coming to my neighborhood watering hole.

Yelp
Silver Diner is always a good choice for quick and good food. I usually dine at the one in Greenbelt but met a friend here one afternoon. We both wanted breakfast food and ordered waffles, eggs, and bacon. It was yummy but took forever to come out. Maybe we were in between shifts but what was initially supposed to be a 30-40 min dining experience turned into a 2hr waiting room. I guess the challenge was that we wanted to order milkshakes after our breakfast entrees were gobbled up within minutes of the plates hitting the tables lol All in all, you can never go wrong when dining here. Just make sure you pack your patience!

Yelp
Proof less peach smash - Super sweet. Drank a little and added a ton of water and it was amazing. 10/10. Sweet potato fries: Absolutely perfect. Enjoyed every bite. Buffalo wings: Navy yard location was better but they were still good. Apple Pie A la mode - SO GOOD!!! 10/10. My new go to! Service: kinda slow so don't be in a rush. Ambiance: Casual.

Yelp
I always get the salmon whenever I visit. The service was great and ambiance is nice as well. I also got an order of fries with a side of honey mustard. Silver Diner honey mustard is top tier in my book since I call myself the president of the chicken tender and fries club lol

Yelp
HH is clearly advertised as starting @ 3pm. I am the ONLY patron @ the bar. No worries ... I enjoy my own company butttt ... that should have been my first warning. Been here since 3:23pm ... had to ask twice for assistance. Finally got approached at 3:47pm. *SIGH* Not pleased with my old bay wings ... super bland. Tasted like they were deep fried completely frozen. I am assuming I came in during the shift change. I totally understand but SOMEONE shoulda, coulda informed me. SHOUTOUT to Angel! She showed up ready to work, pleasant, engaging, and energetic. She immediately acknowledged me and got busy cleaning that DIRTY bar the day shift left for her. I have always been a fan of Silver Diner and although I'm SUPER disappointed with this one, an Angel saved them. #PunIntended

Yelp
I give this just under three, but I thought two was not appropriate. The place is very nice. It does have the diner look but it's upscale. In my opinion, though, the menu is too upscale. I am looking for a diner feel, it won't be this place. Service was OK. The server wasn't rude, but just seemed like he was going through the motions. I enjoyed my tomato and mozzarella sandwich. I can't recall the actual name. The mozzarella had an interesting fluffy texture. I did not mind it, and I really enjoyed the sandwich, though it was not as filling as I would have liked. The other person who got that did not really like the texture of the mozzarella. The small portion of fries were good. The coleslaw was OK, but I don't like celery and there was celery in it. To pay the bill, the server brought over the little machine and handed it to me to pay. All it showed was the total so I asked him to show me the items. He took it back and pushed a few buttons. I looked at it while he stood there and then said OK. it defaulted to a 22% tip which I think is just unreasonable. Sure, give that option but to default to 22% is wrong. The person I was with and I had a really good time so a three it is.

Yelp
Silver Diner is a perfect spot for a quick breakfast before you begin your day. We went on a sleepy Thursday morning and it wasn't very busy, but the staff was more than friendly, the food was fresh, and the service was quick. I was impressed at the amount of options on the menu, you could have anything you wanted - I think the menu was that intense. My 'healthy' omelet was a great choice - not too big, but definitely filling and full of flavor. You can't go wrong with bacon, and it did not disappoint. It also came with fruit, which is usually full of melon boredom, but this fruit cup had a great mix of berries, pineapple, and few melon, which was a welcome surprise. Overall, this is a spot I would go back to if I was in town.

Yelp
I had high hopes but they fell flat. We were a party of 4. We ordered spinach & artichoke egg rolls, and the fried shrimp appetizer; prime rib sandwich, triple marinated chicken sandwich; crab cake melt; the meatloaf dinner which came with a small crab and corn chowder; 3 dirty orange drinks, and 1 peach drink... all non-alcoholic, and an apple pie a la mode. The egg rolls were ok 3 out of 5, the shrimp were excellent 5 out of 5; the sandwiches were very good 4 out of 5 although the accompanying fries were not that good; the meatloaf was hands down the worst I have EVER had in my life, it tasted like mostly mildly salty bread. This was my order and if it hadn't come with vegetables, mashed potatoes and chowder, I'd have gone home hungry. So 1 out of 5 for the meatloaf. The chowder was blah but at least it was hot, 2 out of 5. The apple pie had a good crust but the apples were undercooked, 2 out of 5. Service was good 3 out of 5. The drinks were excellent 5 out of 5. We'd come back for the drinks and shrimp but nothing else.

Yelp
Zuri and Marcell took great care of us! Really cool elevated diner setting with an impressive menu. It was hard to choose! I enjoyed my lunch, and the coffee was really good!

Yelp
Silver diners menu has gotten so much better over the years and very much mindful of various diets. One of my favorite ways to eat is following the Mediterranean diet and they just launched a Mediterranean menu. I had a delicious quinoa chicken sausage bowl. No issues with the food. I am concerned about my servers lack of basic menu knowledge. Some of the dishes had a symbol next to them and I didn't see what it indicated. I asked my server what it meant and he literally said "I think it's just design". Puzzled, I said "design? Usually symbols next to dishes indicate something". He said "yeah, idk, it's probably just design". This is a huge issue! What if i couldn't read well and really needed some help making sure I understood what I was ordering? Really bizarre.

Yelp
This has restored my faith in silver diners. I guess I've been going to the wrong ones. I went around 11:00 a.m. on a friday. Was seated right away. The service was great. The food was what I was scared of due to previous locations. I had the Organic Bison Huevos Rancheros & it was awesome! Seasoned so good. I'm a big tea person and the tea they gave me was not Bland at all. I'll definitely be back to this location!

Yelp
Well, hunger drove me into this Silver Diner on search of a steak or some kinda beef based entre that my palette desired. Silver Diner prides themselves on much of their food being locally sourced, locally prepared. I quickly decided on the Philly style cheese sandwich with mushrooms and a side of onion rings. The sandwich was delicious and flavorful. Maybe some extra onions could have gone into it, but I'm not picking on that. The fried onion rings were large, well battered, and delicious. I topped this hunger quenching meal off with some grape juice and a burp, and I was out the door, whistling as I drove home, totally full and grinning. Well done, Silver Diner, I just might stop by again when in the neighborhood. Oh yes, my waiter, Olaoluma, was timely, attentive and provided great suggestions and information. Well done.

Yelp
Went on Saturday when it was pretty busy and they even had big parties to take care of. Despite these things Chris did a fantastic job taking care of us. The food was delicious, especially the milkshakes! Everything was fast and speedy. I love this location always.
google avatar

Yelp
So, silver diner is a place you go to, to satisfy your hunger. Like.... It does the job. Don't look for glitz and glamour, just look to be fed. Our server was attentive and made sure we had what we needed. The atmosphere was cool. It was a regular family diner, where you could eat, talk, drink, and enjoy your food. The peach pie for 2 and the Philly omelette were both delicious. Potatoes had no seasoning, so be prepared to put some salt and pepper on it. All in all, the experience was good, food was decent, and the silver diner did what it was supposed to do.

Yelp
Service was great, Monte took care of us. Food came out quick and hot. The only bad thing was the maple chicken sausage that had a funny taste. If I could describe mildew taste it would be this..
google avatar

Yelp
Food was pretty good. I had the chicken noodle soup, firecracker shrimp tacos and chicken piccata. The triple peach soda was DELICIOUS! Service was a little slow but they were busy as well.

Yelp
We came to the silver diner on Sunday around 11:30am and my oh my, the place was jumpin! There was a long line out of the door but the estimated wait time was only 10-15 minutes. We opted to take two seats at the bar area. After we sat and waited for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment I wished we had waited for a table. We flagged down the bartender/server and asked for water and menus after 10 more minutes we received water and placed our order. I didn't realize the gentleman next to us had been waiting and didn't get service either. Meanwhile the woman who came after us and sat was served and received her food and drink in record time. My partner ordered the lumberjack breakfast and I ordered a scrambler. Everyone around us received their food within 5-7 minutes of ordering. We finally received our food and I was very disappointed the fruit was soggy, we didn't get any condiments for our meals, my partners meal was lukewarm and when we asked for things the servers seemed annoyed. I understand that Sundays can be busy but that's not an excuse for poor service. I asked for the manager and she stated that our food may not have been put in right away. She offered to correct the mistakes that had been made and ultimately I ended up getting a new meal altogether. I appreciated her attentiveness and care to correct the matter. I'm really disappointed in my experience and hope that it will be better next time as this location is not too far from my house.

Yelp
Had a taste for a chicken Caesar salad and Dat Jerk wasn't open as they haven't updated their business hours. Ordered a salad for $14 which once I got home realized had no chicken, nor fresh parmesan. The salad had lettuce, and a lot of old meely tomatoes along with some hard croutons. It left a lot to be desired and I will not return, a chicken Caesar salad is one of your most basic things to make.

Yelp
Classic diner was happy to see so many Buffalo Bills fans!!! GO BILLS (Game vs Washington today)!!! The diner was sooooo busy but we spotted a couple of counter stools and grabbed them right away. You can't help but notice how friendly the staff is. We watched one staff member pour morning breakfast alcoholic drinks one after the other, which made us wonder if people were getting lubircated for the big game. The food was served rather quickly but I had to admit the coffee refills were rather slow. Breakfast doesn't take a lot to create and makes the most money for diners and restaurants so most do not create a wow and the Sliver Diner just served good breakfasts but nothing that makes me want to hurry back sometime in the future. But the brothers enjoyed the start of our day ... GO BILLS!!!

Yelp
Delicious, had a wonderful time there with great service and great ambiance to match. We had the mushroom Swiss burgers with sweet potato fries! Their chocolate cake and ice cream was delicious as well

Yelp
I came here with a few members on my team and we decided to treated ourselves and break bread together. We were seated pretty quickly and the waiter was pretty patient with us as we did have 8 people in our group! I've been to the location in Navy yard so this was my first time at the lanham location. It was pretty decent. I don't think anything stood out to me as amazing, but I nice bite to eat if you want something quick and easy. I orders the French toast and it was good. It was a busy day at Silver Diner and it looks like a typical diner, so you can be casual and comfort coming here. We did sit and talk for a while without the waiter asking us to give up our table, which was nice. It really was a great time to catch up and I'm sure I'll be back one day!

Yelp
Went to Silver Diner to have a late breakfast since we were off work and they had several plant based options on their menu. Once we arrived, we were promptly seated by the hostess where we waited over 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and there were several servers walking around to other tables, but no one was greeting us. We were just about to walk out when a young lady came over to take our order. Maybe we should've taken this as a sign, but we were hungry and already here. When the food came out, the disappointment continued. The pancakes were undercooked and inedible (the inside was gummy and wet) and the avocado toast was runny with a strange "tangy" flavor (it seems like they mix salsa verde with the avocado possibly, or use guacamole for the avocado toast and not straight avocado). It wasn't inedible, but it definitely wasn't to my liking. The plant based sausage was ok, but nothing to get excited over. It took another 15+ minutes before our server came back to our table to check on us, where we asked for the pancakes to be taken off the bill. To her credit, she did ask if we'd like them remade, but at this point we'd already been waiting longer than necessary and truthfully, after disliking both of our entrees, we weren't confident to order anything else. We opted to pay our bill and leave. We likely won't be back.

Leslie A.

Yelp
Zuri was excellent. Our meals were very good, too. We don't often come to this location and I am glad we did this time. Great job!

Yelp
My wife and I love this place. Have only been here twice. This time I had their Pickle Brined Chicken and Waffles, which is definitely different than your regular chicken and waffles, especially if you choose to eat it with their sausage gravy...which I did. That makes it much more savory but I thought it was fantastic. I'm already trying to figure out when I'm coming back because I also really wanted their Bay Benedict so I'll let you know next time about that dish. My wife had the Quinoa Farro Bowl which she said was the best breakfast she's ever had. The ingredients for that are not your usual fare and were excellent. We'll be back!!'

Yelp
Food is great comes to you piping hot and delicious. Service is fast and efficient. Prices are compatible.

Yelp
I'm not sure what was going on but they didn't have salmon or crab meat. The fish and chips had thicker pieces than usual. The appetizers were luke warm. The apple pie was good and a nice portion size. The server was very attentive with a positive attitude. The restaurant looked clean but multiple plates and utensils were turned in due to significant stains.

Brandi L.

Yelp
Awful experience. Was sat and waited over 30 min before a server came to our table while other waiters sat and chatted at the bar. Don't waste your time here.

Yelp
The family asked me out to have breakfast/brunch and conversation. I chose Silver Diner because my wife and I had dined there previously and enjoyed the food, service, and especially the burnt orange Mimosa. However, on this occasion, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food and general presentation. Arrives early to meet family at 10:00, upon being seated, the table was not prepared. The young lady came wiped the table off, left the stack of menus on the table, and departed. Shortly, our server arrived at which time we took it upon ourselves to pass out the menus in preparation for ordering. I ordered a mimosa, which arrived in a cracked glass and had to be sent back...actually, I had to walk it back since the server did not return in a timely manner. I ordered garlic spinach, which was exceptional, along with a chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were good lightly salted and cooked just right... However, the chicken was overdone, making it dry, burnt in some areas, and stringy. The server was pleasant and polite, yet slow. Ohhh and finally, the burnt orange Mimosa has been removed from the menu...bummer. The Cucumber Mimosa did not fill the void...tasted like a watered-down ginger ale.

Yelp
Circling back...the silver diner is officially my malt shake spot when I'm in the area. This kids shake is the perfect size. I was able to quickly get my treat to-go. I watched staff members prepare it with care (lots of ice cream, malt powder and chocolate syrup). I didn't quite care for the Hershey's chocolate syrup used in the shake because it has an artificial (but nostalgic) flavor...but it didn't take away too much! I'll be back to work my way through the flavors

Yelp
Great service and from the bartender Cory. I always come back just for the ambience and great food!

Yelp
Silver diner looks and feels like an old diner. It is homey to say the least. I had never been to one before, and my first experience wasn't the best. We waited a while to be seated, but that was no big deal. When we did get seated, it took forever for our server to come to our table, and when she finally did, she wasn't the nicest. The entire service she was short and acted like she was bothered. After we got our food, she came by once. I will say the food was good, but the service is subpar.
google avatar

Yelp
So much yes! And a bar??? How have I never realized the bar area? Okay came in for a brief business meeting. Got toast and avocado. It was the bomb! Came at 9:45 a.m. on a Sunday and there was no wait! Whoooo hooooo! Nothing but positive vibes!

Yelp
The food was good, decent, mediocre. BUTTTTT My food came out cold. We asked for it to be warmed up and it took like 10 minutes just for it to be put in the microwave and taken out. Extremely unprofessional environment, too. While customers were waiting, the entire staff gathered around the bar and was just talking and chatting, as if they weren't on the clock. That's bad management. The milkshakes are good, but the crab and corn soup looked like vomit. Nonetheless we ate.

Catherine S.

Yelp
Waiter was nice he tried his best but I guess he was overwhelmed. When my breakfast came. I had ordered two eggs over easy pancakes and bacon. They bought me scrambled eggs and sausage. I told him they took it. They came back twice with the same order and I said the pancake is cold. Why is the pancake cold and I'm just getting the manager did not he was not apologetic at all. The waiter was so it'll be a while while go back. He didn't even deduct anything but he gonna take off the eggs that was the only thing that was hot and then added the bacon that I didn't get bad experience that time.

Yelp
I clicked on the 1star reviews to make sure I wasn't tripping. And I was not. The Lanham branch leaves MUCH to be desired. I am a Silver Diner aficionado and have been patronizing for years. Even after my home SD left Laurel I still ordered throughout the pandemic. I'm a loyalist and really get the same items all the time. This birthday treat visit was nice because of the gorgeous day even through we are overlooking the parking lot. My staple is the tuna melt and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, my ******** cheese was not melted on my melt and that's just rude! I decided to take a sweet souvenir home only to be informed that this diner does not have malt. Malt is a powder put in a shake that gives it a certain nostalgic flavor. Somehow, that costs is too much for this diner to invest in. I ordered the Deluxe Oreo shake (no malt) and the flakes of Oreo were just decorative because this was definitely a vanilla shake. You may not care, but these joints are about ten dollars. Let alone the caloric hit I was willing to take, it needs to be perfect or at least up to par with the NUMEROUS Silver Diners in the area. Thumbs down. I will make sure to not order Uber Eats/Door Dash from this one. I took no pics.

Yelp
This is my second review. We returned to the restaurant to dine- in about a month ago after a not do great experience prior to then. The most recent experience was nice- we had an attentive server and the restaurant was relatively quiet (in between lunch and dinner hours). Our food was good and came in "diner sized portions," meaning we had enough to take home for a full lunch the next day. I had a previous review posted on YELP regarding the issues I experienced with several TO GO orders. I was contacted by Rob, who addressed my concerns. Thank you.

Yelp
First I want to Say, Service was Great ! But the Food We had Not so Much. The Shrimp Scampi was Bland and shrimp were over cooked so they were like rubber. The Crab corn chowder was to Watered down just tasted like corn with some Hot spice.

Yelp
I've decided to go to 4 stars after dining here for a third time. The service is excellent and the food is good. The main reason for increasing from 3 to 4 stars is that the manager has replied to my original review. This response indicates that the manager is engaged and cares about customer feedback. I think that the Yelp average of 3.5 stars is accurate. The manager also responded to other reviews. I will come back to the Silver Diner occasionally in the future.

Yelp
Came into here for a men's gathering and was pleasantly surprised. CHRIS - is a GREAT waiter and really knows the menu. He advised I get the French Toast. It was so good I ordered it twice. The Bacon ordered Crispy was delicious as well. The wings could be cooked a little more. I could have totally done without. All in all I'll have to revisit this place. I wish they had the brownie so I'll get that next time for sure.

Yelp
The first time we came here, the food and drinks were great. The second time we came, we ordered chicken wings for one of our appetizers, salmon and shrimp with one of our meals, and the Philly omelette for another meal. I mentioned those meats to explain that unfortunately seasoning meat is not their specialty. If we go back there, we will stick with drinks and breakfast food. The meat was so badly seasoned that I had to send back my salmon and shrimp. My husband ate his Philly omelet, but he told me the same thing about the meat not being seasoned. we brought home the chicken wing appetizer and if I can show an emoji, it would be one of the awful faces. You can tell that they cook all meat and then throw a lot of seasoning on top of it before sending it to the table. THAT is horrible. I have 3 stars because 1. The wait time is never as long as they say. Which is very nice, but I kind of wish they told us the accurate time so we didn't walk to the park when they tell us 45 min wAit and then have to run back because they text us at 25 minutes. Although the shorter wait is nice, the inconvenience of running back is not nice. I had to tell other families not to walk away bc the wait is not really 45 minutes. Those families thanked us and stayed outside instead of walking to the park with their kids. 2nd star is because the wait staff has wonderful customer service. The hostesses and the waiters have always been great. So they get another star for that. 3rd star is the appearance of a clean environment and the location is beautiful. I say appearance only because we noticed A LOT of flies in pockets. Above each table, there are hooks for coats, to go bags, purses, and each one had 2 flies flying around it. That was very strange. Now...the diner lost 2 stars because the men's bathroom only has 1 stall and the meat is not seasoned properly. Meat should be seasoned before cooking it so the seasoning thoroughly gets through the meat. Also, the salmon and shrimp were tough. You can tell they were not fresh or idk it was just horrible. I don't typically give less than 4 stars, but I explained above why I did.

Yelp
I used to not be a fan of silver dollar but they have completely changed the menu and revamped. I now love silver diner! I got the stuffed French toast and it's good, I love the apples, and the yummy cream. The pumpkin cold brew is good too, it's a mix of coffee but also more like a milkshake. Ashley was our server she was very good and attentive. I will return!
