Modeled after the classic American diner, this regional chain supplies comfort fare & jukebox tunes.
"The roving Maryland venture offers to-go Thanksgiving dinners for eight (a hefty Earth-n-Eats turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy, challah rolls with whipped maple butter, duck confit or smoked mushroom stuffing, roasted root vegetables, mashed potato and choice of dessert). New apps and snacks sections this year include smoked brisket and gruyere bourekas, everything-spiced gougeres with pomegranate molasses. Desserts include sticky toffee pudding with date glaze and platter of pumpkin cheesecake bars, lemon crinkle cookies, chocolate fudge brownie bites and molasses cookies. Pickup on Wednesday, November 22 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m." - Vinciane Ngomsi
"This homegrown chain of throwback diners, which started in Rockville, keeps taking comfort food to new levels. The current menu focuses on food that’s locally sourced, kid-friendly, and increasingly vegetarian/gluten-free. Featured offerings range from avocado toast with eggs and miso-glazed meatless burgers to fully dressed turkey dinners and meatloaf with gravy." - Rebecca Gale
