I had no idea this place had a bar! Great place to grab lunch or an early dinner. The Cobb salad was delicious as well as the fresh cheeseburger and fries. I didn't get a milkshake this time but they are made the old-fashioned way which just seems to blend better. The food selection covers most quick meal selections but is made with a white tablecloth feel. The establishment maintains an old-school vibe that can be appreciated. It is very quiet and clean like a restaurant should be!

I've eaten here before many times with both family and friends. I am a big fan of American diners and even though this is a chain it has a very authentic, welcoming nostalgically retro-vibe. Ask for a booth if available because it comes with its own table-top jukebox! NOTE: Dinner from a previous visit and I was accompanied by someone. My true restaurant love is Silver Diner! I’ve been a Silver Diner customer for many years. The food is always fresh and scrumptious! A friend and I visited recently to debut the new lunch Smash burger. It was juicy and delicious. A must try! Also, I got my usual Chipotle Salmon and Shrimp and it was perfect! Everything was just yummy!😋😋😋

The food was good, apple french toast description should tell you they put Italian seasoning on the apples ( bleh) and the crab cakes are too small. Mini pancakes tasted like the grilled food and should be cooked on separate grill. Egg potato bowl was good. French toast itself was good. Lemonades are good.

5 Stars Stopped by the Silver Diner in Waldorf, Maryland with some old friends, and it felt like stepping into a scene from The Partridge Family—the kind of place their tour bus would pull into after a show. The food was excellent (the burger and fries really hit the spot), but what made the experience unforgettable was our server, Taylor. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed, like we were regulars even though it was our first time there together. Taylor took great care of us and added that extra touch of kindness that made catching up with longtime friends even more special. Great vibes, great service, and a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. Visiting from New York and I’m telling you the food was so amazing! The service from the hostess to our waitress Jahlia (sorry if I spelt it wrong) but she was amazing. Checked in us and just made sure everything was good to our liking.

The food was great, fresh, hot, and tasty. This was my grandson's first experience and he loved it. I ate all of my food before I took a picture. You will love this diner.

Food was good to really good. My 13 year old loves the steak. ( I got a bite it was damn good) would of been a 5 star but our server was not very good we had to ask another server to get our check, never got refills and food was brought out by other servers.

This has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Our waitress Jesse is awesome just the food and drinks were. The flat iron steak I had was grilled to perfection. We will be coming back again and again.

Our server Jasmine was great! Will come again! The corned beef hash was good but the onions could've been chopped more and the peppers could have been cooked more.

The server Nina was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Food came fast and was hot!!

Food is always perfect! This is going to be a heavy rotation breakfast spot for me and the Big Spoon. Service is always okay, not perfect but they are honestly always busy. We tend to bring good luck and people flock behind us, never fails. So we always start off good and then it's packed! Ambiance is casual. Waffle is fantastic! Silver Diner is always a WIN!

Best customer service and they are truly friendly. No matter how busy, they are quick and efficient! Clean restaurant, very well maintained! Full bar for the grown ups! WAFFLES WAFFLES WAFFLES! Best in the area! I think John Alden who made my waffles today...Lord have mercy!!! So scrumptious!!!

We were seated quickly for brunch on a Saturday morning and our service was prompt and attentive. Our food came out quickly and we were pleased with the taste and presentation. This trip revived my interest in Silver Diner!

Jessi was our waitress and she was friendly & attentive. I tried banana pancakes and Jessi brought me some Nutella and the were so amazing. The scrambled eggs (with American cheese) and bacon were also really great. Everything was cooked so perfectly. I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant - it didn't feel rushed and everything tasted so good. My husband had the bison huevos rancheros - he said "A+, would bison again".

I always love my food at silver dinner. Phill was my server and he was excellent! Ask for him by name, great service!!!!

I usually visit this diner when I'm in Maryland. I wasn't too pleased with my salad this time, the dressing they put on it was too watery, which was lacking the flavor. They were skimpy on the chicken. My husband had corned beef hash which was good. The service wasn't bad considering the crowd.

Stepped in for lunch because I love the Bison burger, well no bison today. Sitting at the bar. The bartender/server is having a very bad stank attitude of a day, whispering so I asked her to speak up. Attitude worsens of course. I'm not upset with her I'm upset with the management of the place. But I guess it's hard to get good help these days... 0% tip coming her way.

Last minute breakfast get together with my Sisters. We got there, ordered and were seated right away. Usually it is pretty busy weekend mornings. They said I went old school with corned beef hash, eggs and home fries. I just I call that good eating. I love the old fashioned feel of Silver Diner. The server was amazing and so kind and patient. We ate, chatted and laughed so much. Can't go wrong with Silver Diner.

Indulging in breakfast bliss! The French toast was a divine symphony of goodness, kissed with just the right amount of fruit and pecans. The breakfast tacos with eggs were a fiesta of flavors! The perfectly scrambled eggs nestled in warm tortillas, and what I called "sweet meat" were delicious. And let's not forget the burger - a juicy patty, nestled between soft buns was a good choice. Breakfast dreams do come true! Maggie was our server (sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly). She was so refreshing and delightful. She gave the perfect amount of attention where she wasn't neglectful or over bearing while we ate. The restaurant is nostalgia at this diner. The ambience is a delightful blend of retro vibes and cozy comfort. As you settle into the booth, the tableside jukebox invites you to become the DJ of your dining experience, serenading you with a playlist of classics where guests pick songs,in order of which they were chosen. You can hear the music overhead or at your table side jukebox. This adds a touch of vintage glamour. Whether you're enjoying a solo meal or sharing laughs with friends, the ambiance of this diner with its tableside jukebox is a nostalgic journey worth savoring. I recommend it.

The food at Silver Diner is terrible and the service is only marginally better. I had the country fried steak and eggs--it was not good. The (very) thin steak was fried too hard and served lukewarm. II would not recommend this Diner.

This evening, my daughter, grandson, and I came to eat dinner at your Waldorf, MD, location. I frequent this location often, so I was surprised at the lack of good customer service this evening. The server, Chanel D, did not correctly take down my order or my daughters. We brought this to the server's attention, and she agreed to exchange my daughter's meal. The second time the server bought the meal, it did not have the requested seasoning; again, we brought this to the server's attention and asked for a manager. When we asked the server about the season, she indicated she would come back with it momently; however, we observed her talking with her colleagues before departing from behind the counter to take another customer's order. This lack of communication was disappointing and made us feel neglected. After a while, a manager came over to our table, and we explained our displeasure with the lack of attention from our server and that we did not get what we initially ordered. The manager apologized and informed us that the particular season we'd enjoyed for many years was no longer being offered. So, we again expressed concern that the server never returned to our table to inform us, and now my daughter's food was lukewarm. Additionally, I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon and asked for two side orders of avocado; although the salmon and salad were delicious, I did not receive the avocado that I ordered. Although I am grateful I was not charged and it was removed from my ticket, I am deeply disappointed with this dining experience. The manger did apologized, indicated she would take 10 percent from our check, and offered a substitute seasoning, which my daughter accepted. Afterward, I asked her if we would receive a courtesy 110 percent card. She indicated we would not, as this is at the manager's discretion. I was puzzled since I have frequented Silver Diner since 2013 (first time at your Tysons Corner Location in Virginia and now Waldorf, MD),and was unaware that Silver Diner's policy changed. Nevertheless, later, when the server returned, I requested our check as we were ready to depart after this unpleasant dining experience. The server, another server, and the manager conversed for several minutes before she bought over our ticket. I found this to be disrespectful and unacceptable. As a result, I did not give the server at the time as it usually is my custom to tip. Again, my daughter Kantrelle and I are both members of your club, although we have frequented your restaurant on many occasions before our membership to receive this kind of service. I wonder if we should continue to patronize this particular location.

Food was decent and service started out great, but then she disappeared like Houdini and we sat there looking around and around but she was nowhere to be found. This visit had a lot of potential as our server came out welcoming and strong, but then faded and limped across the finish line at the end. Sigh...

I've been to Woodmore & Waldorph and have been very impressed and satisfied with the quality of the food, service and prices!

Very cool diner with a bar. Enjoyed my mimosa and shrimp and grits. Great weekend specials. Bartender was lack luster. The guy at the bar on the other hand was extremely friendly. He said he's there almost every morning

There was BROKEN GLASS mixed in with my sautéed spinach! The presentation and taste was off today, but I decided to continue to eat until I saw and felt the broken glass! I've given this establishment way too many chances and today was the last straw. Their customer service has gone down over the years and sadly so has the preparation for food.

Always a great time here. Service was on point this morning! James, Maggie, Sade, and Giovanni are my favorite servers! Always professional. Always have great suggestions from the menu. Always smiling even on the tough days. Thanks a lot!!

I am very displeased with my experience with this Silver Diner location this afternoon. I decided to come here today because this establishment serves breakfast food throughout all hours of the day, which would have been nice if I actually had the chance to try the food out. I was seating as soon as I walked in seeing as though the place wasn't any busier than usual, however, I was seated for 15 minutes without service or any kind of greeting before I decided it was time to get up and leave. I know for a fact that the server that was assigned to my area saw me because I was right beside one of his other tables and he never once checked in or greeted me. Also, I wasn't alone, so there's no way I wasn't seen sitting in the booth. I spoke with the host to let him know that I was never greeted or no one came up to take my order for the last 15 minutes, and I should've asked to speak with the manager. I am very unsatisfied with my experience and most likely will not consider returning.

Silver Diner Waldorf Md on 9/17/2024 @ noon Long wait Waiter did not offer drinks prior to ordering. Food was delicious and hot upon receipt. Did not appreciate how the manager seating guest and staff stood close by socializing while customers were eating. Extremely loud, distracting, and disrespectful.

This was officially my first Silver Diner experience. I had read that this diner In Waldorf had made changes to their menu so this made me curious. All I can say is wow the food is good. Oh and they have a bar if you need it . I decided to choose from side of the menu and had the Thai roasted cauliflower quinoa pasta dish. This dish has roasted butternut squash, scallions, pistachios, corn etc with a slightly spicy sauce that gave it a kick and added garlic spinach with lemon on the side. Also we ordered meat loaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccolini with turkey chili. They've acquired a more organic and grass fed approach to their food. The dishes were large portions as though you were at home. The service was excellent no issues at all. The atmosphere was a modern take on a diner like diner 2.0 One thing I can say is that it was so clean. I'm definitely going back.

Silver Dinerrrrrrrr! You have done it again! Hats off to the cooks! This particular silver diner DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! the food is always giving slapps . Moist pasta. Perfectly done salmon and shrimp. I've ordered both items 2x already. This is seasonal but should def be a permanent item.

I love this place, that is when the food is hot, fresh, and tasteful. Delivery is spotty though. Sometimes it's the best and others not so great upon notifying management sometimes you get your issue taken care of and others when you are told sorry that happened or sorry it wasn't to your liking and that just doesn't cut it. Particularly this crab cake sandwich that is missing the crab aspect... and taste like it was dipped in a very sweet sauce... though they didn't miss the coleslaw this time...

We have been living in the area for 2 years and never came here. I had the waffle and it was pretty tasty. My husband got the brisket burger and he really liked it. We have came back twice since our 1st time going.

I had not been to Silver Diner in Waldorf in a few years but knew I get those amazing brussels sprouts! I took a good friend out to diner and promised The Silver Diner would deliver. Our server was training a new server. OK but the new server had on a very wrinkled top AND she kept leaning on our table, like with her breasts almost touching the table! Honestly, we should have gotten up right then and there. But oh no, we stayed. I ordered the Angus Meatloaf w/side of corn. My friend ordered the Flat Iron steak. The BS were indeed very good! Then the meals were served. Oh My Lord--my plate was covered w/corn. This corn was obviously CAN Corn!! No question. The color was off, the taste, and then to have it on more than 50% of my plate! My friend even made a comment, "That sure is a lot of corn. It reminds me of can corn, is it?" I was embarrassed. After all the build up about this restaurant...I did look for a manager but they must have been busy? We sat at table 22, server DJ, guest count 2. No one has to doubt this review. I do hope others don't have an experience like ours. But if so, stand your ground. My $64. 63 could have been spent at any other restaurant.

I love Silver Diner !! This one especially every time I come you can feel the warmth of the atmosphere, you hear the staff laughing together and working as a team as a family. You don't really see that a lot of places. The food is amazing my server Jahlia introduce the dinner option and I didn't even know they have scallops which was delicious! I had to say something the manager and she was fabulous Mimi has a great personality and you can that it reflects on her staff. Keep up the great work #silverdinerrocks

I ordered a mimosa. It came with an older strawberry. I also ordered the summer cod. It had a strong fishy smell. The pomegranates on the quinoa were a nuisance. I enjoyed the asparagus very much. My fiend enjoyed the bruschetta. But she did not like the Turkey chili because it didn't have enough meat. She absolutely loved the no-hito. Our server Jiji was great!!!

This morning I had breakfast at the Silver Diner in Waldorf, Maryland. It was my very first experience eating there. Our server, Hope, greeted us in a warm and pleasant manner. She even took the time to review the items on the menu and even made recommendations. ( I took her up on one of her recommendations.) The food was delivered in a timely manner and was very delicious. Hope gave us the perfect amount of attention, checking on us to make sure everything was okay. Because of the treatment that Hope gave us today, I will definitely return to eat at this location in the near future. She really made my day!

Lackluster Nothing stood out about this place. There was no one in the place but service was slow. Food was blah.

We ate breakfast at this little classically furnished diner and it was really cute on the inside, the staff was pleasant and polite, and the service was great. The breakfast was decent enough. Nothing to complain about but a bit on the bland side of things. I ordered the eggs benedict and everything was fine but it just wasn't lemony or spiced. My significant ordered the conventional eggs, bacon, and pancakes and he said the pancakes were very good. Nice and fluffy.

Always seated right away. Servers are excellent & the food I (always) order is always good. To folks who say food is terrible "Have you ordered EVERYTHING on the menu??

I usually only go to silver diner for one thing: liver and onions as I'm not a fan of their breakfast. However, every other breakfast spot in the area had long wait times so we went here. I was surprised by their additional brunch menu. The shrimp and grits were recommended and let me tell you it was so good!! I will likely go back and grab this again. The portion was great for the price. He got the French toast, eggs and bacon. His French toast had cooked apples on it. We also both got drinks which were really good. He got a margarita and I got a mudslide.

we decided to dine in for brunch this afternoon. here's what we had: drinks: ((he)) kentucky barrel old fashioned ((me)) tropical mimosa ((the kid)) sprite eats: ((he)) tenderloin steak frites + french fries + spinach: well-seasoned and tender. the plate was scraped cleaned in no time. ((me)) apple pie-stuffed french toast + scrambled eggs + pork sausage links + home fries: the french toast was the star of the show (my plate), but the sides were a welcome addition. this might be a limited edition/seasonal dish, so i'll be getting it again soon. The food an prices was not worth the money the food a big turn off .I've had silver diner before in front royal va.use to deliver cars to the Dealerships down there me an other drivers. An after delivery we would always stop by the silver diner it was a must for all of us the food an platers where so so delious.so when they built one in my area I was bragging on this place an took a friend there.i was so embarrassed dint even finish the nasty looking food we dint even want a doggy bag.so six months later I went there by my self an order eat in again an still the food was very nasty looking an bland.not appetizing at all..
