The place was packed! We had a table for 9 and sat 11, as two were lap babies. We ordered about 11 dishes and all were fantastic. I had the baby in my lap so couldn't take photos of everything. But recommend the crab, anything with shrimp in it and the pork bun. Will be back.

Dim sum dishes are delicious as always. We have been come here for dim sum for over 20 years. However, it seems like they are short of staffs today. When we asked for adding hot water to our tea pot the service person said that she doesn’t have time to do it. We didn’t get angry but we felt so funny. We still paid 20% tips just for supporting the business. Hopefully they hire more staffs and improve the service.

We know that authentic dim sum restaurants are not known for good service. In fact its well known that the ruder the service, the better the food among dim sum circles. However there is a tipping point in this theory, and we finally reached it today. We patiently waited for over 30 minutes at our table with no food carts in sight, no water, no tea, nothing except garbage carts flying by. We just sat there and considered getting up and leaving on 16 June Father's Day 2024. We had to get up and ask for water at least 5 times, from one of the servers who always succeededin failing to bring us water, tea, or even call a food cart lady over. When I brought the issue to the attention of management, The Boss Lady in the green shirt was completely unapologetic with her "sorry(not sorry)". We highly suspect that they ran out of food. The dim sum was mushy, not the best but tolerable. Char siu bao meat wasnt great quality, while the bun was good, it was soggy from being oversteamed. The Shrimp Har Gau was decent, but wasn't enjoyable because we had no water to drink with it. The Pork Hash wasn't bad, but oversalted and other places do it better. The Jin dui was almost pure mochi and had little, if any bean paste. They were also the smallest Jin Dui I've yet seen without being micro Jin Dui. We won't be coming back given other choices in the area. The below pic of a plate and no water was my view for 30 minutes while we just sat there. However, when it came time for them to collect their money, they were quick to do that.

My family and I went to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The service was okay, but the food seemed reheated. We were still happy to spend time together as a family. However, around 11 PM, my dad began experiencing severe abdominal pain and had to be rushed to the ER. He was hospitalized for several days and is still in a lot of pain. The food caused him to have gallbladder issues, which he has never had before. We realized it was the food because around the same time, I also began feeling a rapid heartbeat and felt like I was going to faint — the only thing out of the ordinary that day was the meal we ate. Please be more careful.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Came in for lunch at 12noon on a Saturday. There were carts coming around so we jumped in immediately and ordered 2 plates of different buns. Both were cold so we decided to save them for home. Other dishes we ordered including radish cake and various fried items were also room temperature at best. Dim sum isn't normally piping hot but some dishes just don't taste right when they aren't warm. Steamed shrimp dumplings were huge, and we discovered why when we bit in -- they are full of filler and not shrimp. It ended up being a mushy mess. I couldn't finish it. We had to order off the regular menu to get hot foods. I saw one table send food back because it was cold and then the cart ladies argued with the customers! They said it was fresh out of the fryer and the customer said if it's fresh why is it cold? They kept arguing and the guy maintained his argument. There was no server around and we had to hunt down people to ask for water and tea. Later I helped myself to carryout boxes. Again had to look for someone to pay the bill. The last time I was here was around New Year and we came at 11am and it was better. Now I have left and I feel sick to my stomach. What a shame...this place was a staple from my childhood days with decent prices for large portions for dinner, and a bustling dim sum on the weekends. This is one of the last dim sum places in the area and it was not good at all. Don't think we will be back.

Istvan T.

Google
I just love this place. Dim Sum is authentic. Cart service only on weekends. I like weekdays a little better. If you know what you like you order of a sheet and don’t have to hope the food is still on the cart when it passes by. However if you’ve never been, cart dim sum is a must try. We used to be frequenters of Oriental East near the Silver Spring metro station until it closed down. However, one of the former owner of Oriental East often comes here for her dim sum. How’s that for a vote of confidence? Dim Sum = Yum Yum!

Google
This place used to be great, but the quality is terrible now. We went on a Saturday and by noon, the restaurant wasn't even a third full. The owners and chefs need to try each dish. The skins on all the various dumplings are very thick.

Edmond J.

Google
Very much enjoyed the dim sum at Silver Fountain. It has everything you expect for a dim sum restaurant. Came here twice. Once during the weekend and once during the weekday. Push carts on weekends. Mostly everything we ordered was surprisingly $4.95 or less per dish. Just a wonderful place to go for Dim Sum. Enjoy!

Yelp
Just an update on silver fountain since I've gone twice over 14 days because of the lunar new year. A favorite appetizer of mine is the cold dish with a selection of meats and jellyfish. It's a good starter and a variety to sample for all those around. The food is pretty average for a Chinese restaurant. Service is pretty good. They were quick to set the tables, clear empty dishes and refill our water cups. It's a pretty casual restaurant. It was extremely busy lunar new year weekend but otherwise it's usually not very filled.

Yelp
For being one of the few dim sum places in the area, Silver fountain isn't a bad option, but it's not my favorite. I've gone there quite a few times and unfortunately the quality of their food is not what it used to be. I remember their dim sum portions being bigger and tasting better. I'm assuming they had to make cut backs with cost of food. I will say their dim sum ranges from $4-6 which is a little less than near by dim sum places. They offer the carts on weekends and dim sum everyday until 3:00. For what it's worth, it's a good option for a quick weekend lunch.

C C.

Yelp
This place fell off the cliff! I remember the food used to be good. Everything lacks flavor, not fresh and poor quality. The Shrimp har gow had thick mushy skin and the shrimp filling taste nasty with shrimp guts showing every bite. We were there a bit over an hour (Saturday) and only saw 3 carts roll by. We didn't get our tea until we ask ask about it 10min later. On a good note, the chrysanthemum was good w/rock candy

Yelp
11.11.23 I met up with a friend at 11:30 for dim sum. When we came there were a lot of vacant tables, but 30 minutes to an hour later it was packed so I am glad we came early. It's your traditional set up where they push carts around and punch a card based on the price of the item. Their selection didn't seem as extensive as other restaurants. It seemed like they were pushing out the same items. Also a few of the items such as the Fried Shrimp Taro Cake wasn't as good as other places I've had it at. Service was terrible! IMO, they are understaffed and could use a few additional staff. We had to flag down someone twice to request something. One was to request utensils and the second time was to place a carryout order. It took a while before the carryout order was ready so my friend had to check on the status and was told there was a delay as they ran out of the egg tart and were making it. My friend said it would have been courteous if they let us know. Also, I asked for the almond jelly to go and it is not what I was expecting. They did not put any cocktail fruit on it so I figured it was tofu. My friend ended up taking it home and confirmed it was almond jelly. She said it was good, but would have been better with cocktail fruit. I could have used a refill on my water, but given how hard it was to find anyone, I didn't bother. It wasn't the best dim sum I've ever had and the service was unsatisfactory, therefore, I am unlikely to return.

Yelp
This restaurant has been around for ages. We arrived on a Saturday just as some tables turned over and so there was no wait. Wait staff was attentive but food circulated slowly because it was just after a rush. The food is reliable for dim sum, hot and with good flavors.

Hao U.

Yelp
Delicious foods and reasonable price. My family usually come here for push-cart dum sum on the weekends and typical Chinese dine-in foods. Their stir-fry dishes have a nice wok-hei aroma. The servers are friendly.
google avatar

Yin Y.

Yelp
Typical American Cantonese food though not the best. Service was in a great order as it was for an event function. Space is a bit limited if you have large groups like 100.
google avatar

Ben Y.

Yelp
This is the Chinese white broccoli dish I wrote about previously. It has Chinese sausage and another kind of preserved pork in it. I like the wood ear and the celery flavor.

Marilyn K.

Yelp
This neighborhood restaurant is much improved in the last few months. The waitress was very friendly. The food was delicious and the shrimp in this shrimp Cantonese is the largest in any restaurant nearby. We give this restaurant a fantastic recommendation and will be happy to be there again and we want them to keep up the improvements thank you
google avatar

Sam U.

Yelp
Went there one Sunday. The cart never made it to our table. Once it came out, people from other tables got up and grab what they wanted with their tickets in hand. We waited 45mins for 1 order of walnut shrimp. After we got it we just left without waiting for the carts to circle around. The carts were coming out way toooo slow. No workers cared to even check on us.

Yelp
I haven't been to Silver Fountain in years, but the quality of the food and service is just as great as I remember! The restaurant is spacious, but from what I remember they get extremely busy during the weekend. I came for dim sum on a Wednesday which ends at 3pm on weekdays. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they offer their whole dim sum menu even on weekdays ()! They don't do the dim sum cart during the weekday (you order off a menu), but everything still came out hot, fresh and in a timely fashion. If you check them out, I highly recommend the sticky rice with duck or the bake pork buns!

Joshua G.

Yelp
NEVER RETURNING! The staff are rude, ambiance is lame, nobody to greet you when you enter, I had to get my own napkins and silverware because the staff did not provide it, and on top of that when I ordered the lo mein it took far too long to make. I had to watch my family nearly complete their meals before mine arrived. I was so hungry and frustrated I left and got Chipotle next door and took the lo mein as leftovers. Despite the terrible experience still charged. The people at the table next to me had the same problem.
google avatar

Ketsanee P.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Silver Spring, MD. Must try. Many many selections dim sum and popular Chinese entree. Restaurant is so spacious, there is enough room for everybody. Easy parking and location. Service is just ok. But not a big deal for me.

Yelp
May2023: 4: I visited this location as a result of an invitation to a graduation party in the restaurant. The graduate decided that she wanted to eat several items, many of which were her favorite items. This location had a variety of decent menu selections. We had varied types of eaters in our group. The service was really good. One or two of the selections were not adequately prepared and one beef based item was sour. You can see the huge selection of food we enjoyed for the party.
google avatar

Lor E.

Yelp
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I am just leaving this establishment. We had reservations at 1 PM for a party of 30. The service was horrible. There were guests of other large parties that arrived at least 30 minutes after us and had food before we were even able to order. We were never offered dim sum, which we stated we wanted. It is rare that I will make this assumption, but the other guests were Asian, and we were not. Two of our tables were served a little more promptly. Our food finally came an hour and 45 minutes after we were there. At the end, I signed the check... couldn't even tell what we were paying for the way it was written. We had every intention of tipping, and we were actually passing money around to collect the tip within three minutes of her processing the payment. I signed the receipt as no tip, since we were tipping in cash. The waitress grabbed the receipt and question, did I not provide your service? At that point, we had to have a conversation with her pointing out that she took 1.5 hours to take our order, she can wait 3 minutes for a party of ten to collect cash for a tip that she did not deserve. Other people would have left there without tipping because the service was so bad, however, that is not how we operate. We still tipped her over 20% and told her that we were extremely unsatisfied with her service. She seemed very unbothered and just said thank you and sorry and walked off. I truly believe that we were not appropriately waited on because our table was predominantly black. We had other tables with us, one of which our other party members were white. They were served much more promptly than our table, to the point that they were boxing their food up prior to us even getting our entrées. I honestly do not think that a person of color should visit this establishment. I looked at other yelp reviews and see that other people of color have had similar experiences. Do yourself a favor and go to places where your money and time are appreciated, because this is not one of them.

Yelp
Make sure they're on your top list to visit for dimsum restaurant if you're craving for dimsum! They have wonderful selection of good dimsum, like steamed shrimp dumplings (hargaw), steamed meat dumplings (siumai), BBQ pork bun, steamed shrimps and chives dumplings, steamed spare ribs with black beans sauce, steamed rice noodle rolls with shrimps, steamed chicken feet, deep fried taro with meat fillings, sticky rice with meat filings wrapped in lotus leaves, preserved egg porridge, deep fried squids, fried turnip cake. They also have hot carts filled with hot dimsum that wandering around the restaurant offering what they have inside cart. It's interesting while you picked on the food, everything looks delicious in there! The service was good, especially if you speak Cantonese or Chinese but if you don't some of the servers speak very well English. We always visit for dimsum, but they're ala carte lunch menu looks good and promising too, maybe we'll stop by for lunch or dinner sometime, but in the meantime, their dimsum always attractive for us!

Yelp
One of the best local dim sum places flavor wise. They do dim sum the traditional way with carts. Because they're usually so busy on the weekends, the food is still hot. If you come early, don't fill up too much on the dumplings and buns, the really good stuff comes out later like LOBSTER! The customer service was ok if you walk in expecting the "authentic" dim sum customer service. The maitre d and some of the staff are not the friendliest but they will get you what you need. We went with another couple and their baby and the baby was fascinated by the decor. There were red lanterns up that were really cute and kept her distracted. I would recommend dishes like I usually do but honestly, if it looks good, just get it! If you can't finish, they do have carry out boxes. I don't know about you but I LOVE dim sum leftovers.

Amado A.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was a little slow, but overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant to you.
google avatar

DC C.

Yelp
Had not been here in years and made a visit based on a recommendation, but overall it was disappointing. The traditional dishes like chow mein was pretty authentic Chinese, but on the other hand, the crispy chicken (a chef specialty) was all American Chinese food. Same batter and similar taste to the classic sweet & sour pork. It's pretty much what you get at a mall food court. I suppose any place with egg foo yung and chop suey should be a warning. The portion was good and price was fair, though can't say that for all their items. It was a mixed bag with the service and food taste was ok for what it was, but was all that MSG necessary? We became very thirsty soon after and was still so hours later. Have not had this happen so badly at a Chinese restaurant and only other time was at a Vietnamese place. I think this place could be passable to potentially good with certain dishes, as long as they can hold the MSG.

Sean L.

Yelp
Food and service is great. When possible, check out the chicken feet...really good! We ordered Cantonese style chow mein and it was spot on. The duck was very tasty too!
google avatar

June K.

Yelp
Spacious and ok for large groups. We went on a Sunday around 3~ and were told they ran out of dim-sum. Disappointed we ordered 2 family dinners for 5. The servings were generous and filling, but the quality of food wasn't great. The wontons in the soup were like 98% flour, practically no filling and all dough. All the dishes were oily and sweet- I think they should have let us substitute a dish in the family dinner set since there was no variety. I hope to go back, try their dimsum, and leave a better review :)
google avatar

Kendall L.

Yelp
Honey Walnut and Beef Chow Fun are amazing. All the Lobster Dishes are also excellent. Wonderful service and clean restaurant. Definitely check out their Dim sum as well
google avatar

Phuong O.

Yelp
Came on a Thursday for dim sum around lunch time, had to order on paper so it was harder. Was hoping for some hot delicious dim sum but came to a very disappointment. Everything we ordered tasted meh, like the quality wasn't there. Most of it was fillers, doughy fillers. I ordered some char siu and the dish came out dried as eff, like a day old. Only 2 dishes that I ordered came out hot, the rest was room temperature. If no other family is in there for dim sum you would think we would get hot food but we didn't. I also didn't know what was what on the menu so I ordered a lot , and some of them came not what I'm wanting. :\ the only good thing we ordered was the chow fun which isn't part of dim sum, so i had to order the family size. Overall it's meh... not for us.

Ross P.

Yelp
Excellent food. Our Chinese neighbors introduced us to it and we've been going back ever since. Good food, good service and nice ambiance.
google avatar

Jerome G.

Yelp
The service here is trash unless You are of Asian decent. I've been sitting here ignored & unattended to for the past 30 min writing reviews on how bad the service is here. They kept taking my chopsticks away & giving me a fork... I won't even start with that but it annoyed the fuck out of me. They're impatient when they ask You a question then never come back to see if You need anything. I had to ask 4 diff people for a beer... before I could even get service about my food order. Idk what they served me but it's for sure not lamb. This is either beef or pork. I had the worst experience I've ever had at a Chinese spot. This place sucks & I would not recommend if You're Black. Maybe order to go but they will carry You if You dine in.
google avatar

Al R.

Yelp
Consistently good for dim sum. The service is good and the dining room is pretty spacious so you don't have to wait long for a table.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Did take-out; ordered from their dim sum menu. The dishes were reasonably priced and came packed piping hot. The fried item was crispy and not oily (sesame balls). The glutinous rice and lotus paste interior was soft with a melt-in-your mouth quality. The stuffed bean curd was light and silky, the soy and scallion sauce it was in was not too salty or overpowering. My only regret was not ordering more dishes. Will have to try other dim sum treats as well as regular menu items.

Mary R.

Yelp
My family and I ordered our meal from Silver Fountain Restaurant recently, and we were surprised at how delicious everything we ordered tasted. This restaurant is definitely our go-to Chinese food restaurant.
google avatar

Ely B.

Yelp
Never coming here again, the service was bad the food was cold and we managed to only eat 3 items, for a group of 4 ppl that's not enough. They would not come around to serve us, we waited for over 45 mins. We felt that we were not receiving the same attention as other tables did. Once we went to pay our bill the lady at the front got upset that we didn't leave a bigger tip we left her $5 for a $20 tab which is 25% for bad service, which I'm sure other people wouldn't have left a tip.
google avatar

Chau T.

Yelp
Bad service. The foods was okay. Everything was really cold. Was waiting for 1 hour just to eat like 3 stuff from the cart. The lady complaining to us about our tipping based on the service even though we tipped 25%. Never coming back here!
google avatar

PY P.

Yelp
If I could rate their service 'ZERO', I would. Food was alright. So we dined in, had a separate to go order for 6 appetizers dim sum. So we paid, waited, waited and waited. Waited some more. Half an hour goes by so we asked and inquired about our to go portion. They said a few more minutes. Waited more and more, NOTHING still. Saw a bag at the to go table, asked them. They said it wasn't ours. So waited some more. Then finally another lady said it was ours. So we looked inside, just 4 containers. So we opened them, missing 2 orders of congee. So when we asked about it, they said we didn't order them. So back and forth, we said we did, they said no, we didn't pay for them. So when they pulled out the original paperwork from the carry out menu. Which we took pics of. So there's 2 pages, if this was your restaurant and your menu, WHY WOULD YOU NOT LOOK AT THE BACKSIDE OF YOUR OWN MENU? How is it my fault you didn't see the back page? And you had the Audacity to ask if I wanted to wait longer after paying more $$. Even though she said just 10 more minutes for what we're missing, NOPE, not waiting anymore time, refuse to pay them anymore money in addition to what we already paid and tipped (before all this had happened.) Food was just alright, but service and their mannerism sucks. And how do you conduct a business that way?

Loli V.

Yelp
Terrible, disgusting food. Ordered from the Chef Specialty and I could not eat it. Even the fried rice was terrible. The egg roll had no vegetable and did not taste fresh. The sesame chicken was too sweet. Really bad food. Never going there again.

Yelp
Silver Fountain, the new restaurant with the greatest and most authentic dim sum this side of the Potomac River. Ever since the closure of the great and wonderful Oriental East in Silver Spring, this place has been filling the void and our tummies. I should mention that Mrs. Li, the former owner and operator of Oriental East dines here at Silver Fountain on the regular. I had dined at Oriental East since I was a child, and now followed Mrs. Li and many others over here to Silver Fountain. I love their dim sum! My wife loves their chow fun! Next time I go, I will have to try the Peking Duck. It's one of my absolute favorites. I love that they have an authentic Chinese only signboard specials menu. I'd like to come with my Chinese friends so they can tell me what I may be missing out on. Often the most authentic food is only on offer in the native language. For adventurous eaters, exploring these options is a must! Get yourself some Shu Mai and Spare Rib Tips in Black Bean Sauce. My kids love the steamed pork bun and I love the shrimp rice noodle crepe. Go Dim Sum or Go Home!
google avatar

Alice L.

Yelp
This is good dim sum if you are in the mood- we were a little late on a Sunday so the carts and choices were not as plentiful but the shrimp and pork shu mai were very good - we also ordered general tso chicken and beef chow fun which were also very tasty- pork buns were "the best" according to my son!
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
The food was pretty good! Classic Chinese restaurant vibes. Ordered the family platter for 4 people and boy that was a lot of food which was great lol. I'm broke so having a lot of food is good to me. The prices aren't too bad either. Like around less than $15 on average. Just standard good food. I'd love to try their dim sum next time. Overall, good experience. Just got to be patient sometimes with the service because communication may be a little tougher with language barrier but I come from immigrant family so totally understandable and doesn't take away from the food anyway! Check it out~
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
It's been a few month since my last visit, and it's gotten better. Just beat the Sunday rush be getting here when they open at 11am. However, they didn't have many carts roaming at this time, but once it got closer to noon, a lot more variety of dishes appeared. Not a fan of their steamed char siu bao, its too dry; but they brought out a fresh batch of baked pork and pineapple buns and they were fantastic. Their soy sauce noodles is a huge portion and very good. Service was decent too, as water was refilled, and wait staff was able to grab items we wanted when asked, like jook. Their steamed spare ribs black bean sauce was really good; very meaty and a lot bigger portion than most places. Still pretty affordable for dim sum, less than $25/pp including tax/tip.

Yelp
Nice and varaties of Chinese food. Service alway is quick. I like to order roast duck and dim sum here. They are a good one to try. Also it is a huge restaurant, quite a bit hotel style. Clean and organise seat&table. No worry, you will alway have room to enjoy your meal there.

Ally L.

Yelp
awful service! she forced us to leave her a bigger tip!!! very rude rushed us almost felt discriminated.

Yelp
Dim sum on a Sunday. We made a reservation and our table was ready for when we asked. It wasn't very busy when we arrived which was a surprise on a Sunday so we thought for sure we'd have our dim sum fast but this day we waited and waited and waited for carts to go by our table for at least 20 minutes or more. Finally when a cart came by it barely had any food on it and the carts just seemed to disappear. One table finally walked to a cart at the back of the room and got their own food from the cart. On this particular day service was painfully slow. Again it wasn't move than 1/2 full and we saw many servers just very few carts and minimal service. While I often expect less than stellar or warm service here, on my last visit it was by far the worst. Most of the food that we had was warm however lots of the same dumplings came out over and over again. The variety was far less than previous visits. If you aren't a shrimp or pork eater, then you'll likely have very little to eat here. It is dim sum however realize that you won't have much dim sum if that's what you're looking for. I used to go here every other month when I lived in Bethesda and haven't gone for several years now that I moved to Virginia. I doubt I'll make the trek back there after this last experience. This place has seen better days
google avatar

Betty M.

Yelp
We were there for dim sums and it wasn't as good as it was. Foods mostly cold and the waiting for waitress/waiter after sitting was another long wait, a good 30-40 minutes .
google avatar

Daniela H.

Yelp
Nice and quick service. Love the jasmine tea! Their flavors are really good. I like how they balance the smoky-wok flavor with the Chinese ingredients. They have a huge variety of dishes as well. Only one detail: don't ever order the combination platters, even though it comes with choice of soup, fried rice, a protein, and a spring roll, the quality is poor, the entrée portion is a scam, and they stuff you with rice. I happened to order one today, Moo Goo Gai Pan, which is chicken with mixed vegetables... and they gave me CANNED chicken I know that the combination offer is pretty affordable but canned chicken? Really? That's just insulting! I didn't complain because I was with my elder neighbor and she loves that place, so I just removed the gross few pieces of the canned chicken and ate the veggies and the rice. I may go back because my first time there was actually really good and now I know not to order the combination options ever again!

Yelp
I've been coming here with my family for over 15 years-- it's the best dim sum in Maryland! We especially love their shark fin and radish cake. Dim sum carts come around daily until 3pm-- definitely go for the experience!

Toti T.

Yelp
Food My family and I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years, today was the most disappointing day. ( side note we have been ordering the same dishes for the same amount of time) Quality decline was exponential!!! The fried soup noodles that were brought to our table were drowning in grease. So much so they were had to eat. When we asked for a fresh batch, the waitress got upset and told us that the batch was fried that way and there was nothing they could do. We requested a non spicy sesame chicken due to my aunts allergies and when the dish came out to our disappointment it was spicy. When we informed the waitress and asked for the owner to help us we were ignored. I had to pull and tug for assistance. They spoke their language ignored us and then stated that we never requested not spicy for our dish. Let me state again we have been going here over 20yrs and always ask for the same thing. :/ The waitress was cold rude and mean. Here is my "in a nutshell" after 20-30 yrs of coming this is my last time stepping foot into this place and my families last time too. If you want a relaxed nice dining experience this is not the place. You will be treated better at the McDonald's drive through

Yelp
This WAS my favorite local restaurant. My husband and I used to frequent this place many years ago, and upon returning to this area recently, we've ordered carry-out several times. SO disappointing. The quality is just NOT THERE. The kitchen needs a total overhaul. Food is "left-over" quality, often overcooked, burned, tough. Nowhere near the delicate enticing flavors of REAL Chinese Food. The soups are good, though, but everything else is unfortunately marginal, esp the Spring Rolls that are embarrassing - they need to leave them off the menu entirely. Very Very Sad to write such a horrible review for a once-fabulous restaurant. I hope the owner/management finds the strength to pull this restaurant back from the brink of extinction. They are busy - but how many people REALLY return? Probably not many, sad to say.

Yelp
Came in for Dim Sum. The food was pretty decent but the wait time for the cart to come around was too long, felt like no one paid attention to our table. Front desk was upset because of tip that I base on service.

Yelp
The food was ok but the service was trash. We waited for more food to come around and never did. The lady at the front also yelled about the tip we left. Honestly better Dim Sum places out there.

Yelp
-services is the worst- i dont want to give any stars to them! Food- just like regular chinese, there are many Dim Sum places in MD lately I supported them because i live close by, I am thier regular customer. (2017-2022). It seems that they will treat you differently if you are talking the same language as the server. Any others- eat whatever we have! we dont care! -I will never go there again. - recommend-shumai, shrimp kind dim sum not recommend- streamed roast pork bun

Yelp
Not the easiest place to get to - being 10 miles from DC and requiring the use of a car which I don't own.  However lately whenever I get the chance I'd make the obligatory drive there just for the egg tarts - they make the best ones in the DMV - two per order, the perfect size, with the flakiest delicate crust and the silky smooth textured egg custard filling.  Last time also ordered a variety of dim sum - not as outstanding as the egg custards (they are five stars) but pretty acceptable for satisfying one of these occasional dim sum cravings.

Yelp
Enjoyed 2 visits to this restaurant. The food is excellent & the Dim Sum interesting. Portions large enough to take home for another meal. Service is a bit slow & waitresses don't speak much English but it is a fun experience. Enjoy!!
