This place is a decent restaurant for when you're craving steak. It's not as fancy as some of the other high end steakhouses, and the food quality reflects this. The price is a little on the high side for their food offerings. The service is above average, though, as the wait staff is courteous and respectful. They also seemed knowledgeable on the menu and wines. The ambiance is ok; it's dimly lit and decorated with old school vibes. Personally, I'm on the side of not coming back since I would rather pay a bit more for full steak dinner/date experience or pay a little less for better overall value, so it's a bit hard to recommend this spot for anything.

AMAZING!!! We spent our anniversary here today. And I couldn't wait to get in the car to give Silver Fox their flowers. It started at the door greeted and seated in seconds. Seats were reserved, and we were on time, but even when you do things right sometimes it still can be a little wait. Our waitress Ms. Brielle was what made the night. Her attentiveness her sweet spirit, her ambiance set the tone for a wonderful evening. The food was just as amazing, and very delicious.. We both had the filet mignon, with mash and sprouts. We did get truffle on top, and everything was beautiful. The salad was delicious as well. I maybe all over the place but I definitely want to say how amazing they were. The manager came to our table and congratulated us. We really had an amazing dinner and may make this a regular anniversary dinner with the family.. thank you all so much it truly was a pleasure... 🥰😘

My wife and I were invited here for a birthday party and hadn’t heard of the restaurant. We arrived early and went to the bar while we waited for the rest of the party to arrive. The bartenders were extremely friendly and the drinks were great! Once seated our server quickly introduced himself, made sure we had everything we needed and reviewed the menu in detail. He took the time to answer questions and really make thoughtful recommendations based on everyone’s tastes and temp preferences. The pacing of the meal was perfect as we never felt rushed or were left waiting at any point and every single dish exceeded expectations. The restaurant was busy so the locals definitely seem to know the quality but it felt like finding a hidden gem for us who drove about 40 mins in to spend time celebrating our aunts birthday. I wish we could remember all the names but the staff, food, and ambiance was top 3 what we’ve experienced. Highly recommend a visit!

Google
No so “hidden” gem! Silver Fox never disappoints. We have tried other steakhouses, but always end up back here since moving here 10 years ago. Food is always good…delicious desserts…and impeccable service! Would have given 5 stars, but the crab cake was slightly undercooked. The steak, salmon, french onion soup and mushroom burger was very good!

Ron is the goat. Bone in ribeye is the best steak you will ever eat. Everyone here is super nice and friendly. Desert might make your tastebuds explode. Again, Ron is the goat.

I had one of the best Steaks ever. Must try the King’s Butter! We had the Faust red which was fantastic. Enjoyed the mix vegetables very tasty. Went for the chocolate cake as well as the orange cake both are a hit! Service was on point. Close attention to detail!

Google
Oh boy. Fantastic mixed seafood appetizer. Generous portions. Outstanding steak and pork chop. Superb veggies. Great cheesecake and chocolate cake. Wonderful service. Pricey, but worth it.

I am updating my review as I've been here numerous times since my original four-star review. Silver Fox consistently delivers a perfectly cooked steak with above average service. On our latest visit, we had a wagyu tomahawk ribeye with a bone-in fillet. They were both phenomenal. We typically come here on business dinners and I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Disclaimer: We were there for a presentation, so the meal was comped by the host. Also, although we live very close to this location, we had never tried it as Texas is in the same shopping center and is our go-to higher-end steakhouse. All that said- Service was very good, helpful, and professional. The ambiance is woodsy, warm, romantic, and quieter than almost any restaurant I have been to recently, including Texas. We appreciated that a lot, as so many places are so noisy, and it seems folks have absolutely no problem carrying on with their loudest outside voices when dining these days. Not here. Of course, we were in a private room, but during the times before and after the presentation, folks didn't get out of hand. I feel it was the same in the main dining room as well. Now for the food. We had a few choices, and both of us selected the filet mignon, medium rare. the filets were cooked perfectly, very lightly seasoned, which may or may not be your thing. They were quite tasty, and mine had only a tiny amount of sinew. Sides were not an option- creamed corn which was seasoned with something I couldn't put my finger on, but was tasty, and mashed potatoes. I am not doing carbs right now so I only sampled them both, but they were both tasty. There was a salad, and it was good, as well as a fresh hot bread loaf and butter. I sampled the bread, it was like most other places that bring out a hot loaf. We did have a choice of deserts and both picked the berries. It turned out to be all strawberries with rich whipped cream. I at the berries and they were delicious. When I look over their menu, I think there might be some dishes here that would get me to switch from my usual favorite, particularly if I wanted a quieter evening. but I think the bill will be a few dollars more.

Yelp
The ambiance of Silver Fox Steakhouse has a low lighting atmosphere and white tablecloths so perfect for a nice date night. They had individual lights at each table so don't worry you will be able to see what you are eating! We started with a wedge salad and two dirty martinis. Both were a great start to our meal. My husband went with the Ribeye Cap cooked medium rare. It was cooked perfect and had great flavor. We both had the Maker's Mark® Roasted Mushrooms with our meal which were delicious and we'd highly recommend! I went with the Honey Glazed Atlantic Salmon. The molasses bourbon butter sauce was flavorful, and unfortunately the fish was overcooked.

Yelp
I went there last week for an educational dinner, the steak I had was very good. The staff were friendly and the environment was nice.

Christina C.

Yelp
Karla and Michaele were the most accommodating people! First time eating here and the service was so welcoming. My family and I used their private dining room for a proposal and the staff was so helpful and kind.

Yelp
Food, drinks and service is always outstanding! I love the vibe and always feel so young when I am there.

Yelp
First time at this steakhouse and have to say by far the best I've been too. The service from the employees from just walking in were awesome, very welcoming. The appetizers, to the entree was delicious. Also had corn, and Mac cheese did not get a picture. The restaurant was very nice/elegant. Loved it. Def will be going back

Yelp
Came here for the first time for a friend's birthday party and this place did not disappoint. Atmosphere - 5/5 - Very nice ambiance and fancy-ish for a steakhouse. I recommend this place for both dates and groups. Please note there is a minimum for groups and they do not split. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly and attentive. Glass and baskets seem to always be full. Food - It was a group setting, so I was able to try the following: Calamari ($22) - 3/5 - Was it good? Yes. Have I really had bad calamari? Not really. Is it worth $22. NO. Beef Croustade ($19) - 4/5 - Not the biggest portion, but definitely enjoyed this. It is raw FYI. The Wedge ($15) - 4/5 - Nothing special here. I just usually get a salad with a steak so I went with this. Glad I did. 36 ounce Tomahawk ($125) - 5/5 - Massive. Delicious. Worth it. And it comes to you on fire so you can take the center of attention away from everyone, including the birthday boy haha. Mac & Cheese ($13) - 4/5 - Made with Gouda. Decent size. Crispy Brussel Sprouts ($15) - 4/5 - Nothing too special, but I recommend. Made with bacon. Garrison Brothers Old Fashioned ($17) - 5/5 - Paired well with the steak. Overall, this is a very nice steakhouse located in Richardson. I do recommend people to go here if you are or live in the area.

Yelp
Well... my husband and I just left the Silver Fox in Richardson to celebrate his birthday and I just say I was horribly disappointed. This used to be my favorite steak place! Admittedly, I have not eaten out at steak places as much in the past couple of years, but I was always pleased with the both the quality and consistency of the experiences at Silver Fox beyond others. However, tonight did not begin auspiciously. The wedge salad, which is normally a favorite, was presented disappointingly - please see picture. We did request our cheeses and dressings on the side, but we have always done that. Note that the salad in the picture is meant to be shared... when we mentioned this to our server, she responded that she was not aware of how the salads used to look (not like that for sure) but the manager did comment on the size and accoutrements and made adjustments. Little did I know that for me, the salad was to be the highlight of the evening. Let me say that I am pleased that my husband enjoyed his filet, although his $18 gin martini that he requested actually turned out to be made with vodka. Not what he wanted, but he is not apt to complain. (Unlike his demanding wife - ME!!!) The menu has changed significantly since I was last in... I ordered a ribeye and also a side of the sugar snap peas that USED to accompany the ribeye, but apparently no longer. Additionally, I requested the burning salt that always came with my steak before, but also no longer accompanies, so the special request was necessary. My specific issues: The meals came before the salads were completed, because the manager remade our salads; No burning salt came with my steak, I had to request again; I ordered hot tea with my meal, and a large soup soon came with rather than a teaspoon. Hope they did not run out of the appropriate silverware; My husband and I each drink water with no ice, but our server did not seem to notice what our hostess and table help seemed to have provided; My ribeye arrived cooked appropriately, but with no marbling. The explanation was that they age their meats so that the marbling disappears. In the six-plus years I've been coming, my ribeyes have always had marbling, have been delicious and have been exactly as I wanted. Why on earth would I keep coming otherwise? I finally was ready to go and out server brought the check - but forgot to include a pen so I could sign. Sigh... I also had planned to have their (formerly) fabulous chocolate dessert, but changed my mind because because the great energy I had expected from this experience was sorely lacking! To be fair - both the server and the manager offered to make me something else, but I declined. I did not want to extend dinner and be eating when my husband had finished. Also, it was obviously was not in the stars for me to have a delicious ribeye dinner, so I chose to focus on the Birthday Boy's enjoyment of his food! To sum this up - I've had years and years of top-notch experiences at this restaurant, so this review is only for tonight's dining experience. I may try again, but one more disappointment like that and Silver Fox will be off my list for good!

Yelp
Took my wife to Silver Fox last weekend. Lovely place, beautiful ambiance, great food, and our server was amazing. Cocktail and wine were superb, and entrees were cooked to perfection. Presentation was quite nice as well. I am a little picky about the way I like things prepared, and they nailed-it! It is not cheap, but everything was top quality all the way. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Yelp
My wife got reservations for our anniversary a few weeks early. We called an hourish or so before the day of to confirm and, oops they had a private party book out the whole place. They didn't honor the reservation, they didn't call when they chose to book the whole venue. They would have been fine with us showing up and getting turned away. Might be a five-star place, but that is a one-star move.

Ashley N.

Yelp
I loved the dim atmosphere which set the tone for date night. I started off with a cocktail, Love Potion and let's just say one was all I needed and was ready to go. The pork chops and the peach serrano glaze was all the thrills!!! The cheesecake was made at a local bakery but we were told it was Silver Fox's own recipe. I would suggest the chocolate cake, but my date wanted cheesecake. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and the service was amazing!

Frank T.

Yelp
The Silver Fox always provides a special recognition to veterans. This year they provided a discount. The steak and pork chop were superb, and the wait staff impeccable. To top it off they set aside a prime table space for the Fallen Warrior. True patriots! They deserve our business all year round. Thanks, CWO USA (Ret)

Charles S.

Yelp
Based on price... Okay to skip. The waiter was pushy and a little condescending. The steak was no better than Texas Roadhouse. My order was incorrect and my steak was overcooked.

Amanda H.

Yelp
Ah, 40 minutes into waiting for a table WITH a reservation, we were offered some little pieces meat on toast. Just what I asked Santa for! They booked two rooms for parties and still accepted our previous reservation for our anniversary. It's now been 50 minutes. I hate this place. I hate myself for every second I've stuck it out here. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. McDonalds will treat you better.

Yelp
my wife and i celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with 7 other family and friends on 10 august 2023 at silver fox steakhouse Richardson.we were given a private room. Not only were we greeted by corporate officer Mr Mark czaus but the chief of the restrauant, The server assigned to us was extremely knowlable but also great sense of humor. The food was not just excellent but extremely excellent.Jan and I always go there on her birthday and anniversary as well as other times. Dr clayton T Shaw lt col texas ANG retired

Yelp
So we were off the beaten path and wanted to celebrate my wife's last class for her CPA exam. So she wanted something fancy and we found this restaurant. Now I've eaten at really fancy steakhouses and you know the difference between a good restaurant and Outback. The sign on the door was "Proper Attire Required" and although we weren't dress to impress, they greeted us and sat us down immediately as they were having a relaxed night. We bought a bottle of Resiling wine and the wife enjoyed it so much, she had 5 glasses! I recommended the steak Delmonico for her and I had the New York Strip cooked Pittsburgh style. For those that don't know, Pittsburgh style is the charring of the steak on both sides. I also requested to have the strip cooked medium well. Both steak cuts came with mashed potatoes. Our server was quick and she brought us very hot, fresh bread. Our steaks were perfect and the best thing about going to eat a great steak, is that it doesn't need any A1 or Heinz 57. That will ruin the flavor of the cut. At the end of the night because our server asked if we were celebrating anything, she brought us a cake to share. Super rich and extremely moist are my words to describe our dessert. Keep in mind that the steaks are pricey but well worth paying for. If you go, wear your best as everyone else there were in dresses and suits.

Chauncey J.

Yelp
Very good restaurant. With our reservation we were seated immediately, which is always a plus. A little loud, but nice environment. Waiter was awesome. Very personable. My Ribeye was amazing. It had the crisp I like. Favorable. This is definitely spot we will return to. Meal a little pricey but you pay for what you get. I don't mind paying for good service and amazing food. This will be on the list of date night places to go!

Desmond R.

Yelp
The food was well cooked but the Brussels sprouts were amazing! The ambiance was a well lit but not a lot of space on one side of the restaurant. Service was decent , had an issue with a drink that we sent back due to not actually ordering it and almost got charged for it. All in all good restaurant to have a date night at.

Jim S.

Yelp
Can't get any better, service and was perfect! The restaurant prides itself on quality in every area! A very special Christmas dinner with our friends.

Nonya B.

Yelp
Great place for an anniversary night. Our server took great care of us and the sprouts were the pleasant suprise

Ingo H.

Yelp
Food was good but be careful ordering. Prices on the check doubled. The dinner for 2 is NOT 49. It's $49 per person. WTF? Scam artists... never again Also we weren't offered any bread. All tables around us had baskets full of bread.

Jeff S.

Yelp
The dinner experience was outstanding. I plan on going back next time I'm in the Dallas area

Joe J.

Yelp
Amazing service! We had a grumpy toddler and the staff was so helpful bringing him fruits (not on the menu but they accommodated) def will be back

Maria W.

Yelp
First tip: Ask for Karla!! She was our waitress and provided the best service! However all the wait staff was super pleasant, I was impressed! Many pros: Food: all the food is delicious, especially the steak (my boyfriend and I shared the DelMonoco since it was a 22 oz steak- it was perfect); the calamari appetizer is different than most places I've been to but it was really good and the sauce topped it off well; the bread pudding was to die for. As a bread pudding "snob", so thoroughly enjoyed it. Location: right off the highway with ample parking. Ambiance: white table cloth establishment, dim lighting and nice attire required, good energy and even has a poker room. Only con: Be prepared to make a reservation with a minimum of 4 people (so date night will need to be a double date night) This place has many regulars and I understand why, it's so delicious and the waitstaff is so wonderful! Very upscale, I highly recommend this place, I will definitely be back soon!

Derek J.

Yelp
Delondo was the best server I've ever had hands down. My wife and I just had our 5th anniversary dinner here. She takes me to higher end restaurants a lot and I never go back because I don't think they are any better than the less expensive restaurants but I will definitely be going back. Before we left we made sure that the next time we go back we will be set up with Delondo.

Shannon L.

Yelp
My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner and it was fabulous! Our waiter, Ken, was informative and attentive and treated us so well. We had the dinner for two with the filets and it was the best steak we ever had. They also gave us a complimentary dessert to help us celebrate our night. We left stuffed and happy. We will definitely go back for a special occasion.

Victoria E.

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner with Tiki Husband at Silver Fox in the neighborhood but 1st time we have eaten here. After enjoying our dinner I went in to see other reviews. Did not know same owners as 3 Forks. House salad was a light tasty great dressing that brought all the flavors together. I ordered the filet came our perfectly cooked and fork tender. Was not a fan of the sides asked for no starchy vegetables and the plate was over flowing with mashed potatoes. Tiki Hubby had the double bone pork chop once again delicious flavor and cooked perfect. We decided to share a cheesecake unimpressive by all means still frozen and tasted either right out of box or old, easy to leave behind. Service was good and friendly and atmosphere was that of steak house.

Rabi V.

Yelp
I have a had good meals / experiences here before. Unfortunately my last dinner on 1/25/22 left me puking out the sea bass into the early hrs of the morning. Drinks and steaks were great. But definitely the fish was not handled / done right. What Makes me equally disappointed is the feedback I gave to management has yet to be acknowledged or responded to.

Manpreet G.

Yelp
Went here for the first time with my husband and one of our friends. Our friend frequents this restaurant often for dinner and drinks. He recommended it and since it's close to home that was a plus. It's a nice steakhouse without having the drama of driving to Dallas or the drama of parking/valet at the shops of legacy. Sometimes you just wanna go somewhere local and easy, lol. Silver Fox really exceeded my expectations! The service was superb! Our server Nellie was awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable. We started with the crab cakes, which were delicious, and came with a nice sauce. I tried the Blackberry smash cocktail- It was sooooo yummy. For dinner we tried the filet mignon baseball-cut, it was extremely tender and melted in my mouth. I also tried the lobster tail, which probably had the best presentation I've ever seen! (See the picture below! There was a little fire next to it!) Our friend tried the peach-glazed pork chop, which I'll say after sneaking a bite it was extremely tender, juicy, and flavorful! We had paired the steak with Merlot and followed with 7-layer chocolate cake! The cake itself was a bit dry, but the ganache was delicious. The chef brought us out some nice complimentary drinks to finish off our dessert. Overall a pleasant experience, with great service, food, and ambiance. They did a nice job wearing masks and social-distancing the tables, I felt pretty comfortable eating inside that restaurant without any hesitations. Good work Silver Fox!

Vivien H.

Yelp
May I give them 10 stars??? We made a reservation for Saturday night, when we arrived the place was packed but we did not wait more than 5 min for our table. When we walked in we were greeted by 3 pretty hostesses. When we sat down our server came by right away, managers were checking on us, I mean you get a lot of attention. We started with some delis margaritas , then heirloom tomato salad, we got fresh bread with butter and horseradish pickles:) was awesome. I had the peppercorn steak my dinner partner had the rib eye. Both were perfectly cooked and the sides were delis. I love French fries so I changed my side to that, usually it comes with mashed potatoes. I also got and extra side coz I love love brussels sprouts, these were crunchy and tasty. I did not like the au poivre sauce so I asked for a side of hollandaise which was great but was served cold. Never had it like that before. But I guess it's always a first time for everything. I wish I would have more space for dessert we definitely have to come back and try some.

Steve M.

Yelp
I would leave only one star but I'm too nice, I guess. Our New Years dinner was ruined due to slow service, under cooked and cold meals. And the crab addition ($60) with the steaks was a ridiculously small amount. The deserts were bad too. Overall, a really bad experience and zero offer to comp anything...no free drinks...no free desert.. nothing. No manager stopped by to make amends. Zip. They probably will try to blame it on shortage of staff due to Covid but, if that's the case, don't book so many tables. If you are understaffed, don't overbook. Pretty simple. They screwed up our New Year's Eve dinner and we will never go back. I'm pissed....

Suzanne M.

Yelp
Made reservation for a birthday celebration. We where promptly greeted warmly upon arrival and escorted to our table. Our waiter came by shortly thereafter and obtained our beverage order. After they were served we ordered a couple of appetizers. Once they were served, we order our Entrees. Dinner was slow to be served. My husband never received the Wedge salad he ordered. The meal was good, however not great for the price $516.00 for a party of 4 with 3 alcohol beverage, 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 2 cup of coffee. They did give us 2 slices of cake for the 2 birthday girls. Overall the waiter was good , atmosphere was good and the food was ok.

Heather T.

Yelp
Excellent food and great service! Food was delicious and plenty to choose from! Great wine bottle selection and reasonably priced. We were celebrating a birthday and they comped our delicious dessert.

Timothy W.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. It's one of my favorites which is why I can't do a 1 star because when they are on, their food is outstanding. Today, don't know if it was the B team or what but the service was so bad we just had to leave. We watched as every table around us was tended to. We made eye contact with two wait staff. We drank our water and even had it refilled, after which another table was seated. They immediately were served, given bread and drink order taken. We tried to catch their attention. No dice. So, we got up and left. To add insult to injury, my open table reservation was canceled so I could review it there so here I am. Hope they get their act together.

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Came here for my boyfriends birthday, and we were widely disappointed. - 2 out of the 4 steaks that were ordered at our table which were supposed to be medium rare were completely well done. When asked to have it fixed, the steaks brought back out were literally purple. Completely raw. - We asked for a manager, and one never came. - The silverware that was brought was dirty with food left on it & terribly stained. - They brought the food and never replaced the silverware, and we had to wait for a long time to get any. - We ordered a side with a meal and after our food was brought out, we were told it was out of stock. Very last minute which was disappointing. - Our waiter walked away while a family member was mid sentence talking to him.

Connoisseur C.

Yelp
If you ever decide to reserve a table, call ahead to inquire if Ron will be stewarding. The service from Ron brought the night to a 10/10. While the atmosphere/ambiance was a bit loud for my taste, but I have sensitive ears. Dinner started off with a sampler of appetizers; a shrimp cocktail, scallop, and Texas blue crab cake. Out of the three the crab cake was my favorite. I was accompanied by a friend that had the "three forks salad" she opted out of having the Danish bleu cheese. She stated, "it was delightful". Main course was filet mignon and honey glazed Atlantic salmon. The filet was cooked to request, with a side of mashed potatoes. If considering the salmon, give it a try, the broccolini is a must. We also had the roasted mushrooms to share, as someone who is not a fan of mushrooms, they were actually delicious and I would get them again. Ended the night with the seasonal tangerine cake and crème brulee. Always recommend seasonal desserts! Overall, a recommended place for dates, celebrations, anniversaries or a night out. It was a lovely experience that will occur often when I'm in the area. Remember hope for Ron, a gentleman and scholar that one!

april l.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service in a comfortable atmosphere. The filet and cream corn were my fav but the warm bread was great to have while waiting on our tasty crab cake appetizer.

Brian M.

Yelp
Alright food and great service, but I just can't over the price or how generic the food was for the price of everything. Underwhelming is the only thing that comes to mind whenever I think about how much it cost to eat there. It was a last minute spur of the moment choice and regretted it. I get it, it's a nicer place but just expected a little more bang for the buck.

Nick B.

Yelp
I went here for my anniversary, my gf and I are trying different steak houses all over DFW and I heard really good reviews about Silver Fox, so our excitement was through the roof. Unfortunately the experience wasn't what we had thought. Out of all the steakhouses we have been to so far, this is definitely the most underwhelming. Prices are definitely overpriced for portion and taste, ambiance was like it was an Olive Garden, and waiters were constantly dropping plates and utensils. Overall, not very impressed and would not recommend. I do not like giving low ratings to restaurants, but with a reputation like Silver Fox, standards are raised.

Mindy L.

Yelp
Our group of 6 had a reservation at 7:30 on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner. I arrived shortly after 7 & the hostess (who was very nice) grabbed 6 menus and attempted to escort me to the table. There was no table for 6, and it was discovered that somehow a table of 2 had sat themselves and was served which was hindering the ability to be able to setup a 6 top table for our reservation. The table of 2 was finished with their dinner at this point, however, we were walked back to the front where we proceeded to wait for roughly 45 minutes. At no point did anyone tell the table that there was a reservation, etc (again - they were just sitting there having conversation and their meal was done). Once we were finally sat, our server was very short and rude. He even acknowledged that he saw us standing at the front "for over 30 minutes" (verbatim) so you would think he would have gone out of his way to try and make the experience pleasant from that point on. When we ordered appetizers, I had ordered calamari and in a very condescending tone he said "calamari is an appetizer, it's not an entree, it's an appetizer so it would come out first" as if I didn't know what calamari or an appetizer was. My friend and I asked to split the 8 oz filet + 8 oz lobster tail and were met with a deep sigh and "well how many checks do we need for this table?" & we said 1 check is fine. He then explained that it would be hard to split if it was several checks (which we JUST confirmed 1 check was fine) and he then said "I'll just bring you an extra plate and you can split it yourself at the table". Ok so what was the point of the "how many checks?" Question if you were never going to accommodate the request? It was never about splitting costs, it's a large meal and we simply wanted to split the entree because 4 oz filet + 4 oz lobster is a perfect size serving for us. We ordered sides that never came, so I ultimately told him "never mind on the creamed corn" (the table was nearly done eating) and he said "are you sure?".. yes. I'm sure. Why would I want to eat a side AFTER the meal is consumed? He brought the wrong drink from the bar for my husband, my husband never complained - I had asked him to confirm it was MAKERS on the 2nd round (whiskey) and not scotch which is what my husband had gotten earlier. (Never sent it back, didn't say anything at all!) and the waiter seemed irritated by HIS mistake. No apology. We cut our steaks with butter knives (he made sure to tell us he was in the back washing steak knives) & even though he asked if there was any occasion being celebrated when we sat down and we told him it was a birthday - there was nothing special. My friend ordered a crème brûlée and he comped an additional one, but we didn't eat it. A comped appetizer or a birthday dessert without having to order one would have been nice for the 45 minutes we had to stand and wait for the table. The food wasn't bad, but the service was sub par at best and for that - I will not be back. Also - our $700+ tab was paid one ONE tab, and our waiter was still tipped as if he provided good service. It was never about the money, but we felt we were treated as if we were "cheap" or an inconvenience.

Yelp
We have dined at other Silver Fox locations for years, but Saturday night we met friends at the Richardson location. What a delightful experience our evening was. Our waitress was friendly and polished. She was there if we needed her and didn't "hover" when we didn't. We started with calamari and onion rings and they were both fresh, hot and delightful. All 6 of us had the filet, and I'm sorry to say all 6 of our steaks were cooked incorrectly....the flavor was on point so we just ate them but all who ordered theirs rare, received steaks cooked medium rare. I ordered medium rare, and got medium, the one person who ordered medium got a well done steak. Not sure if it was an inexperienced cook, or just an off night in the kitchen. Review would have been 5 stars if steaks were just prepared as ordered.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this restaurant but it ended up being a very disappointing experience. We had a reservation for 6 at 7:30, we showed up at about 7:15. We were then told that someone came in and sat down at a table and they began getting served. And somehow that was supposed to be our table. We waited for 45 minutes with nothing more than an apology offered for the inconvenience. The service was honestly some of the worst I've experienced, especially at an establishment this nice. The waiter was very rude when he got the impression we would need separate checks (which we did not). We sat down and didn't even get any ice waters. I asked for some water and he literally brought one cup out obviously very bothered like that was asking so much of him and he was very put out. So then I asked okay can I have 5 more waters for the table? He proceeded to tell us he was in the back washing steak knives- which is why we had to use butter knives to cut our steak and lobster. I gave 2 stars for the steak only. It was great and cooked perfectly. The sides were luke warm at best and the grilled asparagus was thrown in the grill maybe 5 seconds- it would have tasted the same raw. Sadly, I would never go back to this place. Our tab was extremely expensive for the service and food provided. I wouldn't go back to a low end place that provided this type of service, let alone, an upscale restaurant that should hold themselves to a higher standard.

Yelp
Today we randomly ended up there for dinner, and I have just got to say that this was the best dining experience we have had in a long time. Their safety measures due to Covid are unmatched, the ambiance is intimate and relaxing, the server was wonderful, and the food... wow. Tonight we tried the tomahawk steak and half pound of crab. I highly suggest both. They make the crab easy to eat with zero mess by shaving the top layer off so you can just eat into the shell. As far as alcoholic beverages go, I suggest the drink that smells and tastes like roasted marshmallows. I think that might also be the name of the drink, but I am not sure. The manager is attentive and wonderful as well. The price is high, but in my opinion it is well worth it. Portions are plentiful. We will most likely go back for future celebrations and anniversaries. Well done, Silver Fox.

Yelp
Just had a delicious meal here with my husband. We love coming to this restaurant, the food is always amazing and the staff and service are the best. Tonight we were waited on by Ian, who was very knowledgable about the menu and specials, had excellent service and a great personality. We started the evening with beef crustade and seared tuna, and as always, these items were delicious. For the main I had the 6oz filet cut into the Three Forks salad and my husband went for the 16oz Wagu strip with scallops and kings butter and it was just as amazing as it sounds. :) Everything came out as ordered and we were able to enjoy a romantic evening together.

Yelp
The HITS -The server and dining room staff were attentive and considerate without being intrusive. We were seated on time with no wait in our preferred booth. As the evening progressed, the dining room filled. The onion rings (our favorite) were great. The mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas were excellent. The 3 Forks Salad is not to be missed. My spouse ordered grilled mushrooms which were fabulous. THE MISSES - The shrimp cocktail had 3 huge, tough shrimp that required a knife to cut. The Baseball cut filet was cooked to order. However, it was miles away from being a prime piece of beef - tough and chewy.

Yelp
I tried eating here last night with my husband and his two brothers. We had made a dinner reservation and were seated promptly. We noticed a musty smell upon entering, and my brother-in-law remarked that the Frisco location is much more modern, and this location looked and smelled kind of old. There were two dining rooms: one had some people in it, and the other had nobody in it. We were seated in the area with nobody in it. And nobody came to greet or serve us after sitting there for at least 10 minutes! The hostess walked by our table several times and never noticed that we hadn't been waited on. We finally left, and though she saw us walking out, she did not say anything to us, nor did anyone else. We could not get over our experience at Silver Fox; I've gotten better service at fast food joints, yet this is fine dining? I suggested we head over to Texas next door and see if we could get service there. I'm so glad we did! We had a fantastic meal with wonderful service. So do yourself a favor: skip Silver Fox and just go to Texas!

Yelp
This was my first stop last year for DFW restaurant week; my two roommates and I picked this place for a little roomie date because it was close to the apartment. I wouldn't say it wowed me, but the portions were generous enough that I did have leftovers to take home with me! The optional ahi tuna nachos course wasn't bad, but the lobster bisque was pretty salty, and the steak wasn't anything special. I did enjoy the mandarin orange cake for dessert, but there are plenty of other steakhouses in the area that I would rather go to for a more delicious time.

Yelp
We were taken here for our anniversary on the 26th of December along with my parents in-law for their anniversary. The staff was quick and attentive. Knowledgeable about the menu and the wine selection. We were visited several time by the manager to see that our meal and experience were up to expectations. The steak was fantastic, very well seasoned. Honestly one of the best I've ever had. A bourbon infused salt was available for some entrees and it made for exciting dining as it was delivered flaming. The servers were masked and wearing gloves the entire time and the tables were spaced out appropriately. They have several house cocktails available and also some of the classics as well as a full wine list. Deserts were provided to us family style and we were given larger portions because we were sharing. Finally we were presented with a card signed by the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. Overall a first class experience. If you have the funds check it out.

Yelp
No complaints, exactly what you would expect. Steak was awesome, exactly as I ordered it. The old fashioned was top notch. Everything perfect. Pricing but very good.

Yelp
THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME---Thank you Bob and crew!!! You guys made it A FANTASTIC MEETING!!! Great atmosphere, menu, and service; this place is pretty special and a great place to eat as a couple or for entertaining clients. Many compliments on the steaks, but the "flaming" Delmonico, as I like to call it, is a MUST HAVE!!! The desserts are amazing... Thank you for such a great time!!
