Longtime Dallas Steakhouse III Forks Moves North to Frisco | Eater Dallas

"Formerly the occupant of the Frisco space now taken over by the steakhouse, this regional restaurant chain still operates other locations in Richardson and Fort Worth and has had at least one site repurposed by its sister brand under shared ownership." - Brittanie Shey

I recently celebrated my birthday here on November 15th, and I must say, we had the best server I can’t quite recall her name, but she was exceptional. We had a group of ten people at our table, and she made sure to provide great recommendations for steaks and all the other dishes. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was also very nice, polite, and spent quality time with each of us. I’m already planning to return in at least a month for a special dinner date with my husband. the drinks She was very nice and polite and she spent time with each one of us I will be coming back at least 1 month for a dinner date with my husband

This is my go-to place for a special event. The service and food are amazing. The staff is attentive and makes you feel special. I have never had a bad meal. Each course, each dish, exceeds expectations. The Texas Blue Crab Cake and Beef Croustade are my favorite appetizers. The III Forks Salad is a must! I usually ask the wait staff for recommendations for my main course, because their specials are BEYOND special. The sides are top notch. My mother in law is a vegetarian and we bring her to Silver Fox because as she says..."The best place to get a great veggie side is at a Steak House." Silver Fox's proves that every day! I can't say enough about this fine dining experience!

I like to address an occurrence with our server Chris table 72/1 from last night. We had a lovely experience. Overall food, atmosphere, and service during the meal were all great. We were celebrating my son’s birthday and truly enjoyed the evening. However, there was an issue at the end that left a sour note. We were a party of five and our server automatically added a 20% gratuity to our check without informing us and without any posted policy stating that auto-gratuity applies to parties of this size. There was a suggested tip listed on the receipt, but the tip had already been entered and charged without our consent. When we brought it to his attention, the other party at the table had their gratuity removed. I chose to leave mine, but I was surprised and uncomfortable that it had been applied without being disclosed. I dine at high-end restaurants often, and transparency around billing is standard. I hope management is aware of this, as it’s not how guests should experience the close of an otherwise wonderful meal.

Silver Fox isn’t just a steakhouse — it’s an experience! Our anniversary visit was one of our best yet. We arrived just before our reservation time and were promptly greeted and seated. The evening began with perfectly crafted cocktails and a plate of outrageously delicious onion rings — highly recommended! For our entrées, we decided to try one of the evening’s specials: an 8oz filet paired with a 4oz lobster tail, topped “Oscar style” and served alongside asparagus and mashed potatoes. We also added a phenomenal side of off-the-cob creamed corn — the perfect complement to an already incredible ensemble. Our server struck the ideal balance of attentiveness and discretion, leaving us feeling both cared for and comfortably unbothered throughout the meal. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, the lobster was flavorful with just the right firmness, mashed potatoes were creamy and robust, and the corn brought a touch of sweetness with a delightful crunch. As I write this, my taste buds are firing up and begging to relive the experience all over again! We concluded our dining adventure with a divine slice of velvety cheesecake drizzled with raspberry sauce — the perfect sweet ending to an exceptional evening. Those who have dined at Silver Fox before know this level of excellence is simply the standard. But for anyone considering their first visit, consider this your warning: prepare for it to become tradition!

Google
The restaurant is extra dark, even at the bar. I ordered a burger because I wasn't terribly hungry and wasn't too interested in the steak options on the menu. The burger was just ok at best. It was bland and the pattie was significantly smaller than the bun. What was a little weird was the fact that they placed an entire onion slice, a 3/4 inch thick slice of tomato, and enough lettuce on the burger that could make a small side salad. The fries were great, however. I will say that I noticed the steaks were relatively overpriced compared to other steakhouses in the area.

Google
Our food was amazing! Steaks cooked to perfection, delicious sides, and amazing appetizers. Drinks from the bar were delicious, and our server Madelaine was very attentive and was super helpful in helping us make our choices.

Google
My wife and I recently sat at the bar for dinner and had a great experience. The two bartenders were super friendly and checked on us regularly making sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, the III Forks salad, the 8 ounce fillet and crabcakes. Everything was excellent! I would highly recommend going there. We’ll be back.

Yelp
This is a Fort Worth (not outlying area, but in FW) restaurant that has consistently good food and service. I've been here for lunch and for dinner. And, of course, I come here annually with the hubby for Veteran's Day, as they are one of the nicer Fort Worth restaurants offering veterans a nice $30 off an entree. That is greatly appreciated, especially in these current trying times. The steaks & burgers are always done as asked --- a perfect medium rare. I appreciate the fact that they have yummy crispy lentil cakes for those times (like last night) when I'm taking a "meat break" (lol). I created a meal of crispy lentil cakes, macaroni & cheese, and crispy brussels sprouts. The lentil cakes are hearty and well seasoned and crispy as advertised. My two sides were also good. My hubby (and a veteran) got the Delmonico ribeye and we both agree that it's the best steak we have had in the city of Fort Worth. My Manhattan cocktail was the icing on the cake. Our server, Wendy, was delightful and took good care of us at a good pace. We have always enjoyed good service at this restaurant. The ambiance is nice and cozy. Even though it was very busy here last night, it still felt cozy.

Yelp
Silver Fox has an incredible menu and even better service. We visited for a work event, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect. From the cocktails to the dessert, every detail was thoughtfully done and every guest left impressed. I ordered the Delmonico ribeye, and I highly recommend it! The presentation alone is a fun surprise, and the flavor was perfection. To finish, the crème brûlée was one of the best I've ever had, perfectly crisp on top and silky smooth underneath. Whether you're planning a romantic date night or a polished business dinner, Silver Fox is a fantastic choice. They truly know how to deliver an unforgettable dining experience!

Yelp
The location and exterior are a little deceptive-not what you'd expect from a highly rated steakhouse. The interior makes up for it with great lighting, seating arrangements and overall comfort. Service is top notch. I have to say that the glassware was squeaky clean - that has never happened before in a restaurant where I've dined. Food was all excellent and cooked to perfection. Wine list comprehensive and met our expectations. We will be back!

Yelp
Park in close garage if none available out front. (It's increasingly Dallas style without valet option). Can be business casual or fancy. Extremely dim lighting. Texas Blue Lump Crab served atop tomato butter is delicious - 5/5 Bread - 5/5 perfection- tasted freshly baked and right out of the oven. Wedge Salad- sundried tomatoes & blue cheese dressing, 4/5. With dimly lit room, sun dried tomatoes play a little mind trick because it may also be bacon. 6oz filet - cooked as requested and very good. 5/5 Garlic mashed potatoes - 5/5 Sugar Snap Peas - 3/5 Chocolate Cake - got it to go. husband devoured it. Andrew- service was 20/10!!! He had a good 35 people and was running the space. I've been to plenty of these dinners and it takes several staff to execute. He announced menu, took every individual order answering all the questions and needs, served food and drinks, bus the tables, take plates back to make to go boxes per person- just wow. There were a couple other staff that came in a couple of times but I was truly amazed how Andrew was able to serve the large group! (I don't recommend he has to keep doing that as ge should have more help but want to give him a big shout out for his great work!)

Yelp
This place is spacious and has lots of ambient lighting (might be a little TOO dark in certain areas). I got the III Forks Salad which was so good. The maple vinagrette paired with the toasted pecans made a perfect balance of sweet and earthy. There was also some black pepper dusted on the edges which made it a little smokey and spicey at the same time. As for entrees I got the New York strip medium rare and it was a tad overcooked, but I still enjoyed it. The steak was pretty large and filling. I also got to try the salmon and it was soft and tender with a slight crust to it. I definitely preferred this between the two.

Yelp
This is my second review of this restaurant, and once again it was an unforgettable experience. The assistant manager, Trent, greeted me by name at the door and immediately made us feel welcome. To my surprise, they even went so far as to seat us in one of their private dining areas, which made the evening feel extra special! Our waiter, Jeff, has now served me three different times, and every single time he delivers exceptional service. He's attentive, personable, and truly elevates the dining experience. I brought my daughter, two of her best friends, and one of their mothers, and all of us agreed that this is hands down the best restaurant in the area--even better than some of the other well-known steakhouses nearby. Such a thoughtful and memorable evening with good friends, AMAZING food and exceptional service! I will continue to bring my family and friends here, because I know every visit will be just as incredible!

Yelp
Everything perfect! Food very tasty and service great! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Yelp
Great service. Quiet atmosphere. Food was great. We would definitely eat here again. We loved the beef croustade. The bourbon sea salt set ablaze was a nice touch too.

Yelp
Visited 12/29/23 for the first time. Occasion was a birthday and it was definitely an excellent choice. At check in, there was a line and I did have reservations and wanted to make sure we checked in on time. When I go to the front, the hostess never acknowledged me, until I said excuse me, we have a reservation. She wasn't the nicest or most helpful, but we were escorted to our seat. Reservation had birthday (surprise) notes and this was related to the waiter. Now, our waiter Rogelio, was incredible. From start to finish, he was outstanding. Helpful, informative, and my boyfriend was impressed and happy with his service. Rogelio went above and beyond to ensure things were well Cocktails - blackberry smash (made to perfection) and the Tito's Martini was on point Appetizer - beef croustade Main - Surf & turf (chef's special) and baseball cut filet (Oscar's way). Dessert - Texas Pecan cake Food was wonderful! Asparagus was meh - was not a flavorful as we'd hoped but still good. One of our steaks wasn't cooked correctly and THANK GOODNESS Rogelio noticed and asked to have it sent back to the kitchen and fixed. We didn't want to complain over it but it was medium rare and we'd ordered medium well. It was returned by the chef, replated, and cooked as requested. Now..:the cake. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! We devoured the entire slice and there were no regrets. If anything, GET THE DESSERT! Great dinner and excellent experience.

Yelp
Had a great experience the other night for my friends surprise birthday party! The private room was really great and a perfect size for a very large group. They had appetizers at the tables waiting for our guest of honor and allowed us to use the TV for a slideshow. All the servers were amazing and extremely accommodating. I was very impressed by the way there were able to serve us all and handle the requests from the group and the many drink orders. Staff went above and beyond. Thank you for making my friend's birthday so special.

Yelp
The setting was very romantic, we arrived at 6pm but it's really dark inside. The service was great, they all seemed very respectful and knowledgeable of the restaurant. The food? Best steak I've ever had. I got the filet with their "silver fox" add on, it's blue cheese and a red wine demi glaze I think, literally didn't even need sides. 100% worth going to for a nice steakhouse dinner, it is on the pricier side but you get what you paid for in my opinion!

Yelp
We decided to celebrate New Year's Eve in style. By going to the Silver Fox in Fort Worth. The food was outstanding. The ambiance was quiet and elegant. Our server was Daniel who did a phenomenal job helping us pick one of my new favorite wines. A Duckhorn Merlot.

Yelp
My friend Jennifer & I went her last night to celebrate my 62nd birthday since I was craving a steak Madeline our server was professional, courteous, extremely efficient, & an overall sweetheart!! The atmosphere is classy however, casual. The servers are all extremely polite. It's very clean inside & I noticed a gentleman concerned about the cleanliness of the glassware. I saw him inspecting the wine glasses prior to placing 'em on the table. Impressive!! They have a special for 2 people for approximately $50 per person. It comes with 2-6oz filets, mashed potatoes & we chose a shareable side of toasted brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes & toasted brussel sprouts were phenomenal. The pecan cake with whipped cream frosting is to die for. They gave us a huge piece to share. We couldn't even finish its Our server Madeline also surprised us with 2 free homemade Bailey's cream drinks. Those were yummy like a milkshake shot. The prices are pretty expensive however, the food & service definitely deserve it!!!!!!!

Yelp
This restaurant had been here a very long time. I came for the first time this week, the place was kinda dark and dated. I think this restaurant could use a make-over to look more upscale and modern. I got the honey glazed Atlantic salmon and it was just okay, not a lot of flavoring to it. The portion large so you will be full. The servers here were very attentive.

Yelp
Good service Nice atmosphere Romantic ambiance Limited food selection but amazing wine

Yelp
We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food and staff were amazing! I ordered one of the Chef's specials including crab cake and a filet with mashed potatoes! My mouth is watering thinking about how fantastic everything tasted. Please don't sleep on this treasure in FTW.

Zarita A.

Yelp
Everything is as amazing as it looks celebrating my favorite Veteran. Service is impeccable our waiter was so attentive even added extras for our Auntie!!!

Yelp
What a great place to visit and have dinner Recommend you have a reservation Easy to find and plenty of parking in the University Park area Michael was our server and took good care of us. Great wine selection and plenty of options for cocktails Started with the Texas Blue Crab cake. Nice start. It comes as one palm sized cake and a dark crust on top. A smooth and not overwhelming. Then the steaks. A Filet Mignon and a Bone in ribeye. They both were cooked to perfection. Comes with mashed potatoes and stir fried veggies. You can add an additional side, which we are so glad to order the crispy brussel sprouts... Oh so good. For dessert we ended with the creme brulee with berries. It was amazing. Highly recommended. Would we go back? Absolutely We will be back.
google avatar

Julianna G.

Yelp
Pro tip: get the brusells sprouts as an appetizer, you won't regret it! They also make a mean affogato

Yelp
First time to have dinner here and very impressive from the ambiance , the presentation from the drinks to the foods ( I ordered love poison and crab cakes ) . Magic Mike was our waiter today and he nailed it with suggestion of sweet drink which is the love poison , Thank you Mike for the amazing services . I saw the reviews of the crab cakes so I had to give it a try and It was very delicious and the portion was huge . Absolutely We will come back and will ask Magic Mike for when we come back .

Yelp
This place was a great venue for date night. It's classy and romantic. We had a corner booth. Our waitress was super; very attentive. The food was delicious. I would say higher tier, but I came looking for seafood, and the seafood wasn't on the menu, it was primarily in the specials. I got the filet and lobster Oscar, the special. It was good; however, the hollodaise sauce was too heavy for the dish. A garlic butter drizzle would have been much better. But the flavor was good. The mushroom..... omg the mushrooms.... I'd come back just for those! And the mashed potatoes were pretty epic. For dessert, go for the bread pudding. It's perfect. Wish they had cappuccinos, but their coffee is parallel to Cuban coffee, so it was similar to expresso. Over all, this was a great experience. We will be back in the future.
google avatar

J C.

Yelp
Waited until the last minute and managed a bar booth for the two of us. Sadly we don't sample Silver Fox enough considering our proximity. When we do dial it up, it never disappoints. Service was personable and attentive. The bar was warm and not too loud. Our calamari appetizer was great and our dinner selections were on point. We each sampled a different steak cut with some shared mushrooms. Delicious. All was served promptly and on temperature. Need an above class evening? Silver Fox won't let you down.

Yelp
Another fantastic meal at Silver Fox. I love going to this local steakhouse. The ambience is lively at the bar and calm in the dining room. The staff is professional and knowledgeable, always willing to make helpful recommendations. I enjoyed my baseball cut filet a la oscar. Their onion rings were a fantastic side to compliment the steak. I look forward to visiting soon and trying some other options. You can't go wrong with Silver Fox. Thank you for supporting our Armed Forces.
google avatar

Stephanie V.

Yelp
I came into silver fox for the first time and its very elegant but so dark when coming in from a sunny day! We were sat in the back private room which felt spacious but still intimate. The service was great, they offered a 4 course meal including a crab cake, salad either spring mix or wedge; two cuts of steak or fish and finishing off with dessert; chocolate cake or cheesecake. The crab cake was soft and fresh. I went with the spring mix with a maple vinaigrette topped with blue cheese crumble. The salad was a tad over dressed in my opinion but still enjoyable. My filet mignon came out with a gorgeous crust and cook at a medium temperature as requested. The filet was so rich in flavor and not tough. I ended my dinner with a slice of new york style cheesecake which sat on a dusting of cinnamon. I enjoyed the fact it was not hard but was soft and easy to enjoy. Definitely will come back to explore the rest of their menu.
google avatar

Derrick T.

Yelp
I have to first off apologize to SilverFox. If you follow me you will see that a couple weeks ago I went to Haywire and said they took my number one steak from SilverFox ... I stand corrected! SilverFox reigns supreme. There is no gimmick here, no need to stuff the filet with garlics, only cook it to perfection in which they do EVERYTIME!!!! Oh how I've been missing this place but I promise I won't be gone too long! This was my first time going for happy hour and they have a nice special on drinks. If you want that special you should get there right at 4:30 bc the bar area fills up quickly. The beef crustaude is by far the best appetizer at any restaurant hands down I don't even like Brussels sprouts but my wife does so we ordered them && they were even special. I ate them, normally I would scarf Brussels sprouts down so I could tell my son to eat his vegetables. But these I enjoyed!! The taste of bacon didn't overpower the taste of Brussels and the combo of flavors was just one to live for. I say live so you can keep coming back for more! 5star rating #MyFavSteakhouse

Yelp
Service was awesome!!! Price was out of the roof. Way too much for the food. Plan to spend way too much !

Yelp
Food is amazing The service we have received every time we go there has been friendly and courteous. Knowledge of the menu and was to make each visit special Ambiance is comfortable and subtle The bar tenders are the best, we usually start at the bar first then move to a table for dinner.

Yelp
Melt in your mouth snakes. Mariah was an amazing sever and made it the best birthday dinner! Thank you!
google avatar

Christina T.

Yelp
Decided to take advantage of winter restaurant week to visit Silver Fox for the 1st time. So glad I did! First thing I noticed when entering the restaurant is that they have happy hour Monday - Friday from 4-10pm. That's a long happy hour! Unfortunately it is only at the bar. I'll have to drop by and try it another time. Mariah was quick to wait on our table and was very attentive throughout dinner. The wine list was excellent. We decided to go with a bottle of codondrum - a red blend. The bread basket was soft and warm - served with butter. I selected the III forks salad, scallops served with fingerling potatoes & broccolini. The salad was very good as was the main entree. The scallops melted in my mouth. For dessert I had the cheesecake. It was delightfully creamy yet not too sweet. I lucked into a parking space on the surface lot but there weren't many left. There is a free parking garage as well as free valet. Let the record show that the restroom was clean. The only thing I'd change is the volume of the music. It was a little loud for a steak house. Had to holler over it at times.

Sclieu Y.

Yelp
Ambience was good. We had the filet minon and it was good but not worth the price in my opinion. Plenty of other good steak places for less. Mash potato was good. Brussel sprouts were good but a bit salty. We also had the huge shrimp cocktail. It was pretty good and the shrimps were huge.. I am glad I ordered it but probably would not do so again...it was too costly. Overall, you're paying for the ambience and experience.

Yelp
This place was amazing ! I traveled to Ft Worth on business and needed a nice restaurant for 12 customers. It was great ! They were fast and efficient. The food came out quickly and it was fantastic ! The waitress was attentive and she kept our glasses full. She also did it politely and with a genuine love for her job. They kept our table clear as the courses of food passed and my customers visited. I 100% recommend this establishment for any occasion.

Yelp
Reservation for Thanksgiving was for 3:15 and we were there at 3 pm and table not available. So we sat at the bar for a drink to wait for our table. Well, the service was great so we decided to stay and have dinner at the bar. Conner was behind the bar and gave us outstanding service. Really tempted to eat at the bar from now on for the exceptions of special occasions. Again Thank you Conner for the excellent service. We are not much for Turkey but being Thanksgiving we decided for the Turkey Dinner. It was delicious, can't remember when we had such a great Turkey Dinner. Hats off to the Chef. We will be back soon.
google avatar

Juan B.

Yelp
Excellent all around. Our server was top notch with great humor, scallop appetizer amazing, filet mignon was perfect, and the ambiance was classy with dim lighting. This was one of the best steaks I've had. This is a great place for special occasions and you get what you pay for.
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
Pretty restaurant. Nice ambience. Why I rate 1 star: 1. $20 calamari appetizer that after tasting, wouldn't pay more than $8 for at Ol' Pancake House 2. Heirloom tomato salad was stale and drowning in balsamic which was confusing. 3. What's infuriating was $25 for a double Tito's and soda?! Never anywhere in my life have I EVER seen a charge like that. I was floored. Basic double Tito's and club soda. I was embarrassed to be in an establishment that thinks a Tito's and soda is worth $25. Very off base. Want to mention that this review is no reflection on our server Chris. He was nothing but delightful and professional.

Dava D.

Yelp
Tonight, we went to celebrate a birthday. The ambience was fair, and we had a great waiter. The night was going fine as we were all chatting. When the bill came, a credit card was given, and then the waiter came back almost immediately. Stating he needed to see a drivers license to make sure, the card would go through. Now, we all know this is called RACIAL PROFILING. No one else in the restaurant had to show a driver's license along with a credit card. The excuse was that the card reader could not read the card and they needed to type it in. But they also need to look at the license first. Again this is RACIAL PROFILING. Funny, the charge was immediate. I will never EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Unkle D.

Yelp
Completely not worth a 1/4 of the price. 730 reservations didn't get sat till 8:10. Appetizers were off the chain. All were delicious and cooked well. Baseball steak was so undercooked it was cold. I ordered it medium. Straight raw in the middle. The sides? Mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Mac n chee might've been right out the box. Basic w a few bread crumbs on top. The creamed spinach was whole leaves w stalk and was very crunchy. Cream was watery. Both sides weren't even warm. They reheated my plate but by then I'd had enough. Other than appetizers, this basic ass meal wasn't worth the $600plus we paid for our table of 8. Stay away.

Christine R.

Yelp
Really disappointed. Had a reservation and was 8 minutes late because of the traffic stopped on University (we live 5 mins away and left plenty early). I even called to let them know at 2 mins late. They wouldn't seat us in an empty restaurant at 5pm. My daughter left crying since it was her favorite steakhouse and it was her birthday. They did offer seats AT THE BAR only- I did try to tell them we promised to eat quickly and not linger. I don't find the front desk staff to be polite at all- I'm hoping this review gets managers attention. I honestly have to say this was our last visit to Silver Fox (we go there 6-7 times a year). I called Double Eagle and they seated us and dinner was fabulous.

Yelp
First time at Silver Fox, and most definitely not my last! Came in for an early dinner and the ambiance was already set, intimate and relaxing after a long day at work. Was sat in the back room for a private event and was served a four course meal. Starting off strong with the crab cake, one of the best in ft worth so far. Salad was large, can be shared easily. Filet was cooked medium to perfection and the sides of cream corn and vegetables were very tasty! Waiters were very attentive to us and quick if any corrections were needed. To close off the night, i ordered the chocolate cake which was perfectly moist and not too rich in its chocolate flavor. Great place to dine!

Wayne P.

Yelp
Best thing on the Menu is the Wagu Appetizer. Bar didn't have Absolute Vodka and was not able to make a Cucumber Martini. The one bartender never made a drink for anyone and just ordered rest of the help to do the work. Sit down meal as average for the price but the waiter was doing an awesome job. Should have went to Bobs
google avatar

Rene L.

Yelp
Over priced , over cooked food . Did not enjoy any of it .... Just Meh ... nothing special about this place except the high price of the bill .

James N.

Yelp
Been meaning to try out Silver Fox for many years. Got a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday with no problem. Attached are photos of what we had. We were celebrating a birthday and had a party of 3 at the table. Bill came out to around $250 then a tip. Would like to say they comped us the chocolate cake. Overall, I'd say for that kind of money we could've went to a higher end restaurant. The food was fair not great. Nothing special about the chocolate cake. Would not recommend the Oscar Prime Ribeye as the Oscar sauce overwhelms the steak. The flaming plate is a gimmick for pictures that's about it. Just get a steak as is and save some money. Probably the calimari was the tastiest dish, all other dishes were fair to average. Wanted to say that the waitress did a good job. Did not want to short change her.

Yelp
Ken the bartender was amazing! We came in with no agenda and he took over! He gave all 4 of us the best dining experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ken for an awesome evening.

Starr K.

Yelp
Silver Fox has been our "go to" place when we are celebrating birthdays, anniversaries or Thanksgiving and I've always looked forward to a pleasant evening of good service, good food and an evening of good conversation. Last night we visited Silver Fox and did not enjoy the evening as we had anticipated. The service was great, and I was happy to have an evening out with my husband, but that is about all I can say....wait, the old fashion was wonderful! we both had filets, mashed potatoes and sauted spinach for dinner. The steaks did not have much flavor and the spinach was over-salted and under flavored. But my biggest disappointment was in the volume of noise. It was so noisy my husband and I were nearly shouting at one another over the table. It was actually quieter in the bar area! I'm happy that Silver Fox is doing well, but if any others share my opinion, their success will be short lived.

Yelp
Fort Worth, University Park. My mother grew up near here in the 30's and my memories of visits to Ft W as a child are massively positive, so when a close relative was to be married here I wanted to bring my family, including two granddaughters, to experience this 'gateway to the west' a historic cowtown. Of course we had to go to a steakhouse and I was disappointed with the reviews of what was on the top of Yelp's listings. One of my daughters-in-law is an investigative attorney and found this place via restaurant reviews from local sources, and I indulged her instincts. Oh my! We reserved a small private room and enjoyed a fabulous meal with rib-in-filets, more traditional filets, with fried shrimp chosen by the grandchildren. It was all done to perfection and served by a fabulous wait-person, Christine. The salads (wedge esp) were great and we loved the offering of eclectic finely honed steak knives. You can wear your hat and boots and not feel out of place. Highly highly recommended. We'll be back.

Yelp
We went here with a group of people for work. It was fine dining at its best. The food was excellent and our server was as good as it gets. Great setting and well worth the price. I got the Pork Chops and it was delicious and a generous portion of meat. Everyone else got a wide range of steaks and loved what they got.

Yelp
The service here is the absolute best. The food was amazing, nothing disappointed. Steak was cooked perfect and sides were all great. I love that they let you pick out a steak knife. The flamed salt that came with the steak was incredible not that the steak even needed it, it was perfect. I had the bone in ribeye, I tired a piece of the baseball cut filet and that was also really great and tender.

Yelp
I came here for an event, and they knocked it out of the park. I had never been to this location before, but had visited the old Grapevine location several times with my family. The service is everything you expect from a finer establishment. Empty plates are taken away and replaced, along with silverware. The timing of each course is perfect and the servers are on the spot but not pushy or invasive. On to the food! I was here for a wine tasting with bites to accompany and highlight the wine. All in all we tried four wines, all pinot noirs, my favorite. They had a sommelier there to explain our culinary journey and he was informative and friendly. The Oregon selection was paired with a crisp topped by smoked salmon. However, my favorite part of this course was the bread and butter brought for the table to share. Crusty bread accompanied with VERY good salted butter. If you have had a good Irish butter, I would say this is comparable. I could have been happy with just that. A representative from France was paired with bacon and breadcrumb stuffed mushrooms. A lovely California wine paired with a bite of stewed beef and sugar snap peas. The peas are a staple of the Silver Fox, and one of my favorites. Our first course was my absolute favorite, and I am still thinking about it today. As an off menu item, they have a charcuterie board. It can always be requested, but the manager said you could call head to make sure it was available. It was paired with a lovely, light pinot from New Zealand. The board had prosciutto, a lovely goat cheese encircled by cranberry, an olive tapenade, sour cherry compote, berries, rosemary crackers, and a crunchy cranberry toast. I loved it so much. We started with it, but it would also be a wonderful way to end a meal. I would gladly take this over their chocolate cake, for dessert. And they make awesome chocolate cake! It is definitely worth a trip to Fort Worth, of one of their other locations.
