Felt very othered here as the only two guys that walked in. Didn't know it was a lesbian only bar... Where I'm from, all gay bars are open to all sexes, genders, identities, races, etc. We sat at the bar and never got served in spite of saying hello a few times as the bartender walked by. We were sat at the bar. Eventually it became kind of obvious they didn't wanna serve a couple guys...

Some of the reviews for this place are a little harsh. I was looking for a beer while waiting for a show at the Hayworth. Reviews almost caused me to not go, but curiosity got the better of me. They had a live band, and the dance area appeared jam packed. But there were seats at the bar and the bartender was nice, even to this gringo (Hispanol appears to be the rule) and Modelo's were $5. What's not to like?

Hole in the wall bar with central american Latino ethnic flare! 21+ Its community is friendly but definitely bites back, so just be wary of the drinks you can hold and do not act disorderly. It has a very small dance floor where people dance. There's table service or you can go straight to the bar. I'd suggest just enjoying a few beers and heading on home, as it can get a bit hectic after 12, but if you like a hot crowded room stick around. It's a very mom and pop bar and age ranges are definitely millennials and up+.(25+ Lol) In the weekends you have the choice to have a nice LA street dog right outside the bar and support la senora street vendors. Aside from that just enjoy yourselves when visiting, it's a party in there always!!🎉🎉🎉

As other’s pointed out, a true dive bar. A Hispanic beer bar with loud music and a very dark lighting. This is one of those places you both, definitely DO NOT want to bring a date to & more so DO NOT want to get Beer Goggles at, the women are beyond atrocious. The bartenders alone are large (talking Volkswagen size) trolls. Non-trustworthy an establishment as well, I gave a $10 for my $5 beer & no change allowed. So if you do go, bring exact change. But beware the fake blonde “it” bartender of oblong shape with many layers of folded fat that I think it’s a “she” but who knows.

Silver platter is becoming a neighborhood hangout spot where the new owners Liz and Margarita make it so welcoming for anyone that visits. I use to live across the street from it for 10 years never ones did I visit until last month I decided to play pool and now I am a regular customer I love the idea of a spot for our people to relax and enjoy a good time

This hole in the wall is usually always packed to full capacity on the weekends. Dance floor is small but u can move around a little.. Only beer is served by the bottle.

True dive with great Cumbia and other Latin genres on the juke. Kind folks who deliver you spicy Tajin cukes(cucumbers) to go with your drink. I watched the bartender peel them and season them right in front of my eyes. Really cute. I don't speak a lick of Español unfortunately...well maybe just a lick, but was welcomed inspite if my shortcoming.

Lies & Phony Reviews I’ve tried reasoning with this place as one of the neighboring businesses on their block. They are working without proper inspected approval, and they haven’t passed their health codes since their suspension pre COVID. Also, the dates on their favorable reviews were dated during all city lockdown, and I know they weren’t open on those months. Lastly, none of their contact information works. You’ll never get a responsible person on the phone or a manager on site. CLOSE YOUR BACK DOOR and KEEP YOUR LOUD DRUNKS INDOORS!

Wonderful service and great ambiance! It's a dive and caters to the Mexican community but the ywe're very welcoming to me, a black man out on the town on his lonesome.

I'm sorry, I love this place. Cheap beer, great music, great fashion, and the rarest L.A. sighting... people who like to dance. One of my favorite places to go on a Tuesday!

Silver platter is under new management and is now a local hangout for all to enjoy good beer prices and watch some pretty impressive pool players.I have learned and sharpened my skills at this place . Completely love owners liz and margarita I see them taking this place to a whole other level super excited to see them succeed in their future endeavors .

I had great experience here the food was great and so was the service. Parking was bit hard but I guess that's LA Defiantly recommend.

Affordable cocktails and beer and a great atmosphere. Everything good about LA all in one place. Can't wait to go back.

Man, this place would be SO AWESOME if it didn't smell so heinously of garbage. I went last night with a group of people and I really dug the music and the people and the whole very casual vibe (very not LA). I guess because I'm sometimes a mouth-breather I didn't notice the smell til I was done dancing for awhile, but once I did it totally killed my buzz. Also, while it's true that it this seems like a place welcome to the trans community, four trans people does not make it a trans bar. I think though that if you're not used to seeing trans people at all, four in one building makes it a convention.

Why five stars for a tiny, beer-n-wine-only, cash-only bar that resembles a Texan watering hole just outside of the Ktown perimeter? "Wildness" on Tuesday nights, that's why! You can't beat $5 drinks, nor the occasional performances that leave you scratching your head. Need to get blasted on a Tuesday night but don't believe beer and wine will do it? Don't be such a college student. Mixing is the key. A little house red, then champagne (for $4!), then beer, then a house white, and then you'll find yourself on the dance floor next to the ferociously sequined gender-benders and wretched hipsters (the decline of Western civilization!) grooving to an eclectic mix of M.I.A, electro-house, and hip-loosening salsa music.

4 dollar champagne, great dj's, cash only. think ny paradise garage meets 2009 k town, weird but good. be prepared to dance, and feast your eyes on la's lookers. fucking great time.
