"This Wild West-themed ice cream parlor brings that sweet treat together with alcohol. Adults will love the Jack and Coke float, while kids can enjoy a banana split with a favorite ice cream flavors. Add in live music, dancing, and poker tournaments, and it’s fair to expect a great time." - Courtney E. Smith, Leslie Chatman

Awesome stop for ice cream on a Sunday afternoon. Even had live music, definitely worth the stop.

Google
Highly recommend if you only stop in for the ice cream! I don’t drink so I can’t really tell you about the bar lol. But when you arrive they greet you and everyone was very helpful and patient when choosing your flavors. I highly recommend the “Texas Honey Whiskey” and the “Bee’s Knee’s” flavors. The best in my opinion. I even let my 2mo old daughter try a tiny bit of the bee’s and she just loved it. We will return next time we stop in Granbury! ☺️

Google
Really friendly service, we were welcome to try multiple flavours. The baked in store waffle cone is the best ice cream cone I have ever had. I had the Cotten candy flavour… also awesome! I WILL be back before I go home!

The Silver Saddle Saloon, an ice cream parlor designed to resemble an old western saloon, is located in the darling historic Grandbury Square. Known for their homemade ice cream, they also serve sherbets, sorbets, sundaes, shakes, banana splits and floats. They also feature beer, wine, spirits, candy and pub style food like Frito Pie, Salads, Queso and Chips, Paninis, Sandwiches, Sliders and a really unique kids menu. Our order: We came for an ice cream and I enjoyed mine on a waffle cone with Cotton Candy and Butter Pecan flavors. The hubs choose TX Honey Whiskey and their Jack and Coke flavors in a cup. We drive 30 min each way to enjoy their ice cream and a drive around the square. Silver Saddle Saloon offers a family friendly atmosphere with parlor tricks, checkers, checkers, chess, dominos, 8 man poker, billiards, TV’s, a book exchange library, live music, dancing, Bunko, and other events - check their social calendar before going! The front of the store is set up like an old general store with ice cream, candy, sodas and gifts. The back half of the bar is where the music, games and dancing take place. It’s a great place for families and we highly recommend their ice cream! If you’re lucky, you’ll find a patio table out front to eat your ice cream and people watch!

I had so much fun here. I love ice cream, and the flavors here were unique and delicious. I recommend honey whiskey. Its so good! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The live music was the cherry on top! This was easily my favorite part of Granbury. I cat recommend it here enough.

Google
Stopped in with my family and loved it. Really great job with the saloon feel. Upstairs for adults only features a poker table and pool table. Loved the vibe. Had the “Jack and Coke” and Texas Honey flavors of ice cream and they were delicious. No one else has their unique flavors. The staff was super friendly to both me and my kids. I’m excited to go back soon to grab a drink shoot some pool!

Jana McLaughlin

Google
Such a wonderful laid back place. It has all you need for a good time. I can imagine going here every week with friends for drinks, ice cream and a game. The upstairs area is so cozy with the library, chairs, large TV screen, pool table and a poker table.

Google
The silver saddle saloon is one of our favorite places to visit. Both having a bar in the back, And the ice cream up front. It means that even when we are with our niece and nephew, we can enjoy both aspects. It's really fun to have a place to sit down in either. Be like Hey I want some ice cream, Or hey I want some beer.

Yelp
Make a stop in Granbury! It is the cutest little town, full of great shops. This ice cream parlor was our last stop. We were lured in by the 60 ice cream flavors. Each kid got a junior cone for less than $2, so they each got to pick their own flavor. I had the lavender honey, which was great. My husband loved his peach ice cream.

Kendell B.

Yelp
Ice cream? Saloon? Sign me up! This was some of the best ice cream I've ever had! I love the wide array of flavors that weee offered. They do samples if you'd like them. I tried the bees knees and the pb chocolate cup. I ended up with the pb chocolate cup one. The pricing for scoops is reasonable. And the employees here are happy to answer all your questions and provide samples. It's fun little shop with the saloon in the back. I would for sure go back here!

Chuck L.

Yelp
Wonderful place to stop in - such a variety of things to do. Great milkshakes- HIGHLY recommend them. Great selection of ice cream! Kids and family area, billiards and poker tables upstairs. Haven't experienced the night life and live music but have been told it's great

Eugene R.

Yelp
Frito pie was okay. The Fritos got soggy so I'll ask for them on the side next time and add them in as I eat. I also didn't like the nacho cheese sauce at the bottom. That contributed to the sogginess and didn't pair well with the chili and other cheese on top. I just like the traditional Frito pie- Fritos, chili, shredded cheese (cheddar), and onions on top.

Yelp
The Silver Saddle Saloon is the PERFECT stop when you're exploring the the Granbury Courthouse Square. The moment you step in the door you'll be greeted by a scent of malty vanilla goodness from the freshly made waffle cones. Waffle cones that are just waiting to wrap their arms around a couple scoops of the best craft ice cream south of the Red River! Do you know what goes good with craft ice cream? BEER! Yeah, I said BEER! Grab your ice cream cone and shuffle your boots to the back room where you'll find friendly bartenders waiting to whip up your favorite cocktail or pour you a cold draft beer. Now calm down, this ain't no rowdy honky-tonk where you're likely to get into a fight over a loose woman or a someone cheating at a game of pool. This joint is family friendly and fun for all ages. There are table games to play while you're hanging out, TVs showing sports, and even live music out back. What's not to love? What are you waiting for? Seriously, get your butt down to Granbury and check this place out. Tell 'em Hank sent you. My name isn't Hank, and I don't even know anyone named Hank...but tell 'em Hank sent you anyway!

Tim T.

Yelp
The atmosphere is unique and the food was nicely flavored, but the sandwiches were small. The panini was about 70% in size compared to other panini's I have had in similar restaurants. Service is not super fast or super helpful. Even knowing it's my first time in, when I asked for a cup of water with my meal I was told ok and not that it was self serve in the next room. So I waited on Thursday evening around 5:45 for 30 minutes for a panini, chips and a water, when there was less than 2 people ordering in front of me.

Katie B.

Yelp
Um... AMAZING!! If you want some *delicious* ice cream i would definitely check this place out! They have like 40 flavors so theres definitely something for everybody! They also have ice cream sandwiches, shakes, banana splits, boozy ice cream drinks, they have it all! I personally enjoyed the fudge flavor, the cashier made us the most delicious shake ever and my sister liked the chocolate cherry one! Definitely a place to check out for a delicious treat!

Krista A.

Yelp
What a fun find in Downton! This cute little place has a great Texas feel to it and the ice cream is amazing!! The staff was friendly and let us take our time looking around before ordering. Travel through the ice cream parlor to a "saloon" in the back. They even have an upstairs equipped with a poker table and a pool table. Super fun place for everyone to hang out!! Will definitely be back!!

Dennis V.

Yelp
Probably one of the most unique spots in Granbury. From the amazing ice cream shop up front to the whisky bar half way back to the live music in the back. I can't say enough about the cool spot. Ice cream mmmmm good, whisky mmmmm good and oh ya the great local vibe. They even have a fun Thursday night card game. Oh ya all set in a historical building. Love this place.

april l.

Yelp
Great and unusual variety of ice cream flavors in a western atmosphere. If you'd like ice cream and a drink from the bar you need to stand in two separate lines. Luckily for us they were not busy when we went.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
What a nice gem to find out here! Great ice cream and tons of flavors to choose from. The ambience is fantastic. Definitely a winner.

Tee M.

Yelp
This place is just a tourist trap. Horrible over priced food, service is hit or miss depending on when you go. The ice cream is about the best thing on the menu. Sandwiches and salads are sad. The salsa is out of a jar, the queso is ok, not great. Very minimal toppings on the salads, sandwich comes with a small bag of chips. The beer is cold, the mixed drinks are strong. Keep your expectations low and expect to pay a high price for the atmosphere.

Lauren T.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The inside is set up as you would expect by the name of the place. The ice cream was some of the best I've had in a long time and the girl who was behind the counter was awesome. I don't remember the name of it but I got a coffee flavored ice cream that was good. My mom and daughter got some kind of chocolate raspberry ice cream that I had a bite of and we all loved it!

Andrea A.

Yelp
I love this spot! It always smells so good because of the delicious ice cream and waffle cones but I go back time & time again for the live music and drinks! Service from Lally and Chris on separate occasions was great and I can't get enough of the decor especially the old fashioned saloon curtains, card table and whiskey barrels!

Joy S.

Yelp
We were in the mood for a little sweet treat, so stopped in here to check out their ice creams. They had several flavors and were happy to let us sample several in order to make a selection. We got a scoop of salted caramel. It was sweet and delicious, but it was really runny. Our friends had a different flavor and there's wasn't runny. I think they have some food and, of course, it's a bar.

Laura S.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place!! Amazing. Must visit. We were vacationing in Granbury and I stopped in because it was billed as an attraction in the town square. I was with my son so it seemed like a touristy to-do. IT IS SO GOOD. Amazing. I went both days we were there. The first time I had the Turtle Torture (sweet, creamy, salty, with surprising chocolate candies and chocolate covered pecans) and the second I had the Local Goat Peach Mule (creamy, real peaches--and a lovely complex, slight sour note which I think is vodka but tastes like a real flavor note and isn't just pointlessly boozy). Both were so delicious. Y'all I am not that big on ice cream, but I want to try about half the flavors these folks sell. Also love the barrel tables with the games. My son was super into that (we were there in the daytime before anyone was on the bar area). We played two games of chess and one game of Go Fish while enjoying our ice cream and the AC. Have only been during the day so I can't speak to the nighttime atmosphere. But I would absolutely suggest this if you're in Granbury for kids and grownups!! Grab a scoops and play some cards. Great value and experience for the money.

Elaine M.

Yelp
Adorable ice cream shop with unique ice cream flavors located in the little Granbury downtown. Flavors to try: pistachio, espresso chip, mango sorbet

Charles W.

Yelp
I rarely say this but , Yuck. My dish was served in a paper hot dog dish and was lukewarm at best. Service was not good. My drink was not made right either. In fact I didn't finish it. $10 shot to hell. Not a very good menu and the waitress didn't seem to care

B. M.

Yelp
Cute establishments. Good ice cream in the front area and a bar in the back of the same building. Across the back street/alley is a covered venue with live music and another cute inside bar area with tables.

Sabra B.

Yelp
Best ice cream I've ever had. Try give cancer the boot. The inside is decorated very nicely. Super kid and family friendly.

Amy J.

Yelp
Even on this dreary day, their ice cream was a treat! The staff was very patient with our questions & extremely accommodating. I tried the 'give cancer the boot' which was espresso ice cream with chocolate chunks. There were CUTE gifts for my niece & nephew to purchase. We were very sad we couldn't hang out until tonight when they're having line dancing!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Good beers and appetizers. Game tables at the ready and great music. Where else can you have drinks and grab ice cream to go on your way out?

Kimberli T.

Yelp
Amazing homemade ice cream!!!! We had rocky road & espresso chip - SO good!! And they have gluten free cones !! Best homemade ice cream ! Employees are great super sweet and have great customer service !! Must try !

Megan J.

Yelp
Precious ice cream saloon. Friendly service and we especially enjoyed the boozy milkshakes from the back bar. The actual food menu is limited in offerings--chips and dips, two or three salads, and a handful of sandwiches.

Gabriel R.

Yelp
It was my first time going to this place. Pretty good ice cream, but there was just one problem. There were 3 follicles of hair in my ice cream. Pretty long pieces of hair too. I felt a disgusted.

B R.

Yelp
The saloon is very charming with kitschy western decor. It's very clean and comfortable. Perhaps understaffed, we order two chicken sandwiches and bags of chips that cost 30 ... for sandwiches. It took over 30 minutes to get the order in a very sparsely populated dining room. When the order arrived the small $15 sandwiches were pretty small and the chicken very dry. Not impressed, but we aren't hard cases and will visit again.

T N.

Yelp
Great ice cream, wonderful service and food allergy friendly!! I would never have allowed my peanut allergic son to have ice cream after seeing the menu but as my husband was getting a sample, the friendly employee asked about any nut allergies so I inquired further. They take so many precautions to make ice cream safe for nut allergies and she even pulled out a book with the ingredients, got a new scoop and a new box of ice cream! It was a great experience for us all and the taste was even better! Give them a try if you're passing through Granbury!

Selwyn M.

Yelp
This place is as cool as it gets on the square of a country Texas town. Ice cream parkour in the front and a full bar for the grown folks in the back. Head up stairs to lounge, play pool or poker in a very nicely appointed loft room. Take some time and step back into a slower pace and friendlier place.

Kristina R.

Yelp
Such a fun atmosphere. My kids and I had a blast! They have so many different times of ice cream. Best ice cream in town! Must stop here.

Tawny S.

Yelp
I really REALLY wanted to love this place. In fact I've been wanting to go for a couple of years and finally was in town to check it out. The concept is quite unique with the boozy ice cream drinks but the service was the absolute WORST we've encountered in some time. And we were both servers in the past. The bartender was just ok, but kept filling walk ups after he received our order then all 3 were wrong. The bar server was even worse. She (brunette with long hair) was RUDE, unfriendly and refused to even speak when asked a question, she just stared at us. Complete lack of training or just rude who knows. The drinks were wrong so once we voiced this in a polite way she just turned around and walked off. My husband had to go to the bar to get them corrected. Awful service. Doubt we'll return.

Jane D.

Yelp
Great ice cream. A friend recommended this place for our short visit to Granbury. The variety of flavors is amazing!

Greg R.

Yelp
Ice cream after dinner is always a joy. The staff were super attentive and frankly, very friendly. And the ice cream, of course, yummy.

T S.

Yelp
A fun bar to go to. Extra nice that they have food and ice cream! Our kids enjoy it, right on the square, lively!

Mathew C.

Yelp
Such an awesome place to visit and hangout. Great food, ice cream, drinks and atmosphere. The new covered and heated patio is awesome. They have live music often. The Go Pig Or Go Home is my absolute favorite food item and the TX Honey Whiskey IceCream is greatness. A very family friendly place.

N M.

Yelp
OMG! Where do I start? Let's just say, I was obsessed with this place at first taste. I visited the town from out of State and went here one night. It was my family members and their friends favorite icecream place. I came in thinking it was just a regular ice cream place, but oh boy was I wrong. This place is amazing! I ended up going every night I was in town. I taste tested just about every flavor that they had. My favorite flavors were banana cream pie, muddy mess, birthday cake, & jack n' coke. They have some really different and unique flavors. Did I mention the cool and laid back atmosphere? The live music, the checker game tables and the pool table and lounge area upstairs makes it the best icecream place in town. Even though I am back home now, I will definitely come out to the town just to go to this out of this world ice cream place!!! It doesn't disappoint!

Mallory H.

Yelp
The ice cream here is to die for. The Granbury square is a beautiful area to drink, eat and be merry. The Silver Saddle Saloon has an older saloon feel to it, but it extremely clean, and well kept. There is a pool table, and fun games to play while you eat ice cream and drink. There is also limited seating outside

Stacy M.

Yelp
Boy I really wanted to like this place. I work-out in the evening and look to cool off with an ice cream cone. I like Pistachio Almond ice cream in a waffle cone and I can't get this at Braum's. I can get this flavor at Mary Jayne's across the street from Silver Saddle, but sadly, they close at 8PM. So, when I learned that Silver Saddle had both my beloved Pistachio Almond ice cream and was open until 11PM, I knew I had found my new ice cream go-to. Unfortunately, the product as well as the pricing will keep me from visiting a second time. A single dip in a cone was almost 6 bucks. Same as Mary Jaynes, but Mary Jaynes Pistachio ice cream is good, while Silver Saddle's was close to being unpalatable. The almonds in the ice cream were so stale I wonder when was the last time anyone had ordered it. I ended up spitting them out so I could at least finish the ice cream. But that was not to be because the sprinkle dipped cone was also stale. If it was made that day, then it was the chocolate dip on it that tasted waxy or something. I can get a DOUBLE dip in a waffle cone at Braum's for $3.49 through the drive thru at any time they are open for business. I will just have to settle for Rocky Road or Strawberry. If I am dead set on Pistachio - well they serve it by the pint inside the store. Yes, a pint for half the price of a single dip at Silver Saddle Saloon

RAYMOND M.

Yelp
Awesome best place on the square on a Thursday And good rest of the time. The ice cream is awesome Customer service is good even tho most are under 20. They do a good job. The country motive is really fun the waitresses are sweet and the Bartender is amazing on Thursday I have a great time when i go there. But need better beer selection

Kathryne P.

Yelp
I was in town for a visit and everyone keep recommending this place for a boozy ice cream treat so we stopped by. Very cool location, easy to get to, easy to navigate. It has a small store front where I bought my child (who wasn't with me) a slingshot. Neat little area. It was clean and service was friendly. Why three stars? It was HOT. Our ice cream scoop and my boozy treat melted extremely fast and was a tad bit over priced for a shot of horchata and a slice of banana. Would I come back? Sure, maybe in the colder months so the building could cool off appropriately at 10pm.

Jimmie H.

Yelp
This is a great new unique place on the square. They get their ice cream locally from a place in Denton and they're all really cool original flavors. They also have a full bar, are open late, have live bands, fun events, and friendly staff. It's great to see a place on the square eager to serve its customers and it's nice to have a place to grab dessert while strolling the square after dinner or a show.

Erica W.

Yelp
Amazing ice cream and specialty drinks and the live bands on the weekends are always fun and good!

Simon W.

Yelp
Places can't get blamed for the behavior of their patrons, but my wife and her friends had a rough experience with this place. People should be aware of the vibes of the patrons when deciding to come here. A dozen women wearing dresses and out for a bachelorette party were seeming unwelcome because they didn't look like rednecks who lived in Granbury? Several comments were made to the group of women like "Did Biden send y'all here", "not in here" (as they're walking in) "y'all don't belong here" etc. The business has to accept some accountability for the vibe of the place, the way they were treated is unacceptable. Guess you need to wear a Maga hat for the other patrons to leave you alone. Unreal. It's really an indictment on the city of Granbury in my opinion.

Ashli S.

Yelp
Ice cream was awesome. They had a large variety of unique flavors. Husband tried strawberry basil and I tried praline. Want to try Texas honey whiskey next. Try this place out, the flavor is on point. They were hand making waffle cones when we were there and they are very tasty.

Michael M.

Yelp
Great theme, fun place to go to just relaxed grab some food play some games and enjoy a homemade waffle cone, stopped by today on a hot July day and grabbed a Blueberry Cheesecake Waffle cone and it was delicious.

Taylor Y.

Yelp
Heard so many great things about here, but quickly found out this place was not worth the hype. Their food is wayyy over priced. Trust me, you're not going to leave with a full tummy unless you're paying a very pretty penny. My husband enjoyed the atmosphere and the poker upstairs but refuses to go back after seeing the price of the beers and his dinky dry sandwich. The staff was friendly, however they didnt seem to know their menu very well and constantly left us hanging with empty drinks. Even just figuring out our total at the end of the meal was a nightmare. Items were mixed up and not on their proper receipts, along with discounts not being applied. Only thing worth stopping for is the ice cream.

Kelly N.

Yelp
Loved it! Great like spot to cool off and get ice cream for the kiddos and a drink for the momma

Sarah L.

Yelp
Wow! You need to check out this gem. Absolutely amazing ice cream and service. Flavors you've never tried like beer and wine. You will not be disappointed. Will come again and again.

Monty H.

Yelp
I like everything about this place. Ice Cream! Cocktails! Draft Beer! Live Music! Ice House and Patio. The best place in Granbury for entertainment and drinks. Also the Paninis are amazing. Free pool table upstairs. Ambiance is great. Service is always good. Can get very busy on Friday and Saturday so be patient with the service as expected when things get busy.

Ken C.

Yelp
Made a day-trip to Granbury...not expecting to a one-stop ice cream shop and bar. Enter the Silver Saddle. I was quite happy to find "Jack & Coke" ice cream, and would have been happy with that. But when they said I could have a Jack & Jack & Coke float at the bar...'nuff said. A little pricey, (about $15), but you get two pretty generous scoops of ice cream, what amounted to a double shot of Jack Daniels, and Mexican Coca-Cola (made with real cane sugar)...and you got to keep the bottle of Coke to top off the float (or just finish). I probably ingested a weekend's worth of calories with that...I'll eat a salad sometime to make up for it.

Sarah S.

Yelp
I went again on a Saturday and it was still a great atmosphere, but it was so busy and under staffed. My friend and I couldn't get a second drink and when we went to tab out it took forever cause they were so busy. I think it will be better down the road because they are new and everyone wants to check them out. I suggest going during the week, or just know it will be very busy on the weekend and hard to get a drink.
