Where to Enjoy Maryland’s Gloriously Cheesy Crab Pretzel | Eater DC

"Sliver Spring Mining Co.’s tagline is “home of the original Maryland crab pretzel,” which means the restaurant takes the order more seriously than most. Its best-selling ballpark pretzel oozing with Silver Spring’s crab dip comes topped with cheddar and jack cheese before it’s baked in the oven. A second location sits in Bel Air, Maryland." - Claudia Rosenbaum

As a solo musician, I play a lot of places around the area and the service staff here is some of the best. Sam behind the upstairs bar is a gem and I swear she smiles at everyone. Josh, a server, could not be more kind and welcoming. You get and keep people like that because of the management staff. Bravo SSMS. The evening I was there, they were having an 80 person party in the downstairs and service didn't miss a beat!

Here's another restaurant that doesn't list prices for its alcohol. What is up with restaurants not having prices on their menus for alcohol? I recommend the Raspberry Walnut Salad with grilled chicken and the Seared Ahi Tuna. Also, our server did not seem interested in working tonight. She spent most of the time with other employees by the Pepsi station on their phones.

It had been YEARS since my sister and I ate here for no reason other than we just never made it a priority place. So glad we decided to pick here tonight. Our food was excellent. I got the Vermont Burger and my sister got the Stuffed Rockfish. Our server, Drew, was great. He was very personable and made sure everything was perfect. And the time for the meal was more than acceptable. In and out in about 45 minutes. Gonna make sure we don't wait so long between visits from now on. Kudos to the entire team 😊

Google
Customer service and atmosphere 10/10! Food 10/10! Ordered the SSMC crab pretzel, Raven margarita, and Crisfield burger. Margarita was flavorful and strong. Pretzel was very good and the crab was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and juicy! The crab/shrimp fusion sends the burger right over the top. Will be getting again.

The restaurant was clean, quaint, and awesome, we had a large party of people in there on Friday and the food and service was absolutely amazing! For the price of the food, you get plenty, the crab cake was one of the best I've ever had, nice lump meat, hardly any filler, great flavor, rice pudding to die for, well worth the checking out! Awesome place!

Server had a personality which is hard to find now a days. Food was a good price for the amount you get. It wasn’t noisy so you could talk to your friends.

My husband & I attended his neighborhood reunion on Saturday 4/26/25. We were downstairs in the tavern part, with approx 65-70 people in attendance. We want to give a shoutout to our server Josh Wheeler. He was absolutely awesome! Such a hard worker with a pleasant & friendly personality. Despite the crowded environment, he made sure we had what we needed & was on top of refills. Our food was great as always. When we left, I realized when we were still in the parking lot that I forgot my leftover container. As soon as I turned around, I barely took 2 steps & there was Josh with my container! I couldn’t thank him enough. Also need to give a shoutout to Jason Felix behind the bar. The attendees kept him busy & he was prompt with serving everyone with a smile. We definitely enjoyed ourselves….but the superior service we received was icing on the cake. Please forgive me if I forgot anyone! Thank you for an enjoyable evening!

Food was great service was not as good. but it was St. Patricks day. I am sure if less busy the service would have been better. The sour beef and dumplings was good and so was the crab cake and ribs.

Yelp
The pictures of the food made this place look good, but I'm never going back and neither should you. When we first came in and sat at the bar, the bartender, Ashley, was in the middle of cleaning. We overheard her tell someone else that there was mold growing in the barware. So I was shocked when I got my water glass and it tasted off, like plastic. my partner's water tasted completely normal. She assumed it was the glass - she thought there was something in it - and replaced it with a plastic cup of water. Before we left, I asked her if she thought it was from the cleaning she did, and she admitted that she had poured my water from the gun first. She also said she was the only one who cleans the bar during the week. So now I'm concerned I ingested something. We should have left after that, but we had already ordered. Seems like the bar and kitchen staff need to work on communication. Our appetizer was wrong (we ordered fried pickles, they brought out green beans) and they forgot that we had ordered an additional sauce too. By the time the correct order came out, our entrees had arrived too. The sirloin steak was unseasoned and about the size of a hockey puck, with butter pats thrown into the sauce. Not a great look, especially after they had messed with the rest of my meal. Our bartender didn't bother to apologize for the experience and if there was a manager on duty, they didn't feel the need to either. And honestly, they're lucky my partner paid and tipped as much as he did, because I wouldn't have. But I will be dropping a tip to the Baltimore Health Department. Save your money and try another spot.

Yelp
Unfortunately inconsistent since our last visit here just under 2 months ago. We were here again with a larger party of 19 people but our table was not ready by our reservation time at 4pm until after 430. A bunch of us ordered beers- all flat. You'd think the miller lite was apple juice just by looking at it. We knew we liked the wings so we ordered them again, except this time they were dinky and dry. Though they actually came with blue cheese and celery (guess they just forgot last time). We also got the crab pretzel- delish and huge- great shareable item. The burger was also a good choice- very juicy- but all toppings are extra.

Yelp
The food is pretty good. I haven't had anything that I didn't like. We come here every other month for a association luncheon and our server Andrew is always great! We always reserve a private section on the lower level which allows us to discuss our meeting topics freely without disturbing anyone else. We appreciate the private atmosphere.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been here. My last review was from 2017 so I figured that I would do an update. Today I took my Aunt here for lunch. As soon as we walked in we were greeted at the front. They quickly seated us in a booth. It was a little busy. We were given menus and some water. We chose to do one of the afternoon specials. For $21.00 you chose a soup or salad. My aunt chose Maryland crab and I chose cream of crab. For the entree we both chose the single crab cake with broccoli and for dessert my aunt chose the bread pudding and I chose the vanilla ice cream. Yes all of that for just $21.00. We ordered a crab pretzel as our appetizer to share. Everything was just so delicious. We did order drinks, I chose the raven margarita and my aunt had the cayman lemonade. The drinks were delicious as well. Our waiter was pleasant. We even had some leftovers to take home. The crab pretzel was so good my aunt chose to get one to go. We really enjoyed dining here. Great food and great service.

Yelp
This visit came from many positive reviews and of course recommended by friends. The decor gave off warmth and it has a slight rustic feel. Lots of wood, and a bison over the fireplace in the bar. The seasonal decorations were beautiful, tastefully done. The menu is 2 sided with an adequate selection which said to us, they do theur dishes with quality and not overreaching. And a real plus is they offer local wines, great way to support local businesses. Boordy has many excellent wines, both sweet, dry...something for everyone. My husband chose the meatloaf with mashed and green beans. He loved it. It was all to his liking. Everything was flavorful. I was not as lucky, I chose the open faced turkey sandwich (hot) with fries and gravy over everything. It was huge, filling a small platter. The only problem was the gravy was thin and watery and even though there was plenty of gravy, it was a soggy, runny mess. The flavor was barely there. SSMC is a well established business and this was.not up to the quality we expected. After pouring this into the plastic box to take home, it was a short car ride later with it leaking it into the plastic bag. Ugh. Removing it from the gravy coated bag was no treat either. A plastic soup container with a lid would have worked better, leaving no mess to deal with. We probably will be back for some of the daily specials. They sounded good. You can see them at the bottom of the menu. The service was great, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, they do give either senior or military discounts, I'm not sure which was applied.

Yelp
The best Sour beef and dumplings around. Had a very nice meal with the family and everyone's food was tasty.

Yelp
The ribs were ok. We got the sampler and it was cold and hard. Not like it used to be to be. Won't be going back there.

Yelp
Our dear friends invited to treat us to dinner at the Silver Spring Mining Company to try their Sour Beef and Dumplings. We met them at 4:00 PM for an early dinner, and because we wanted a quiet area to sit we ate in the bar. Surprisingly, it was very quiet. Amanda, our server, came right over and took our drink orders. She was upbeat, welcoming and friendly. Our friends said we should order the 1/2 portion of Sour Beef with the extra dumpling in place of the Cole slaw. So, that is what we all ordered. They were right - the Sour Beef and Dumplings were delicious. The sauce just had the right amount of tanginess, and the dumplings were dense and fluffy at the same time. Amanda's shift was over, and she kindly told us she would be leaving, and that Ryan would be taking over. Wow, what a difference in service! Amanda was at the top of her game, and Ryan could have cared less. When our host asked for the dessert menu, Ryan told him there was none and proceeded to tell him what the desserts were. Our friend said he saw a dessert menu on the main menu and asked him to go get the menu. Of course, the desserts are listed on the menu. Ryan said he knew that, but did not feel like walking back to get one for us to see. We were all flabbergasted - how lazy can one person be who just came on duty? We ordered the Oreo Brownie Sundae and the Rice Pudding. Both desserts were decadent. For as good as our beginning was, the ending was soured by Ryan.

Yelp
I attend this location frequently but this is my first time trying it for restaurant week. Here are my thoughts: - The customer service from bartender Jason was phenomenal. He was our waiter while we sat at the booth in the bar area. He was fast, kind, extremely efficient, prepared, and attentive. I have no complaints. 5/5 for customer service. - My son's ribs were filling and large but a bit pricey. The broccoli was a little mushy but definitely seasoned. The fries had a good crunch but was only warm (not hot). Overall his meal was about 3.8/5 - I ordered the fried pickles, stuff shrimp with broccoli, and bread pudding. I used to love their fried pickles but now I don't. They changed the recipe and now serve them like a thin basket of fries. Previously, they were thick (like a spear) and served in a tall basket that stood up. The new formula and presentation used extremely thin, nearly shredded pickles. Again, the broccoli was mushy but seasoned. The stuffed shrimp was delicious but the portion was so small. It didn't feel like I got my money's worth for the restaurant deal. The bread pudding was really tasty but I wish I had ice cream to add to it. Anyway, I would rate that full meal as a 3.3/5 for portion and mushy veggies. - My spouse's meal was the boom boom shrimp, pork chops with mash potatoes & coleslaw, and black bottom cheesecake. The boom boom shrimp was very good but we did ask for ranch dipping sauce on the side. The pork chops were amazingly juicy. They came with an apple sauce for dipping but I didn't like the flavor combination. The coleslaw was decent. The black bottom cake was just ok. I'm glad it came with my meal because otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered that dessert. Overall, this meal was a 4.2/5 strictly for the mash and porkchop. - Wings were a to go order for someone else. They said the wings were good but wish they had a little more ranch dipping sauce. 4/5

Yelp
We revisited this place after 7 years. I suppose it's just a very forgettable place that we drove by all the time, but hardly thought about going for dinner. We went in on a Friday night, Jan 5, 24, about 6:30 PM. Yep, it was dinner hours, lots of people, more so at the bar though. We ordered the crab pretzel to start of, also came with bread. The pretzel was very doughy; the crab itself feels like it came from a container, not fresh. After the appetizer, it took about 45 mins or so before our entrée arrived. G/F ordered a chicken sandwich. The top bun was sat on the side, where one can see the melted cheese. They probably should've closed the sandwich with a pick cause the cheese looks like one of those kraft single wrapped cheese. It looks like plastic. G/F cut the sandwich in half, and the chicken was over cooked. I ordered the stuffed mahi mahi. Fair amount of stale crab, way too much cheese on the top, and the mahi mahi tasted dry and it was definitely from frozen, and blend. The server, a young man, who was a bit socially awaked, made my GF felt very uncomfortable. I understand everybody needs a job and deserved a chance, and he reminded me of myself during my teens, 30 years ago. Again, there were a lot of folks, but mostly at the bar area, and I understand why. You have to be drunk to eat and enjoy the food there. Definitely will not return again.

Yelp
Great service and prices. I had the Homemade meatloaf and my wife had the open faced turkey sandwich. Great taste and good portions.

Yelp
I always had a good experience at this place. Beer is good. Food is extremely good . Service is very good. Best sour beef and dumplings you can get.

Yelp
i really enjoyed my food here and loved that the place wasn't too busy and had a relaxing atmosphere! i tried ribs here for the first time ever and am looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
The sour beef was great. The Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli was superb. Service was great too.

Yelp
I feel like with any chain restaurant like Silver Spring you have to go in with a certain expectation... If you're there to get cheap greasy bar food for happy hour (I mean this in the most lovingly way possible because that's what I got!) then it's great. If you're going in expecting a 5-star meal then you will be disappointed. After a work-out my friend and I ended up here for HH to completely undo everything we just did. We decided to split a crab pretzel and an appetizer sampler that came with wings, fried pickles, potato skins, and chicken tenders. There was more than enough food for both of us. We were there on a Friday night and they had a special for a $9 crab pretzel (I think that's about $4 off normal price) Drinks were cheap for HH too. Most domestic drafts were buy one get one for a penny as well as the margaritas. We paid about $6.50 each for two drinks each. Not bad! It was a nice place to catch up and eat some fried goodness. In their bar area they also had a fire going in the fireplace which was very cozy.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! So many options and everything tasted great. Friendly service and fairly priced. I love this place and will be going back a lot!

Yelp
Great sauerbraten. A 1/2 size portion, ordered with an example dumpling, is plenty filling. The bread pudding is also worthwhile. Prepared as a sheet cake and s serving is a generous square. Waitress told us that the flavoring is a little different each time it's made. Ours was like bread pudding topped with cherry cheesecake. Scrumptious! Not the most quiet place in town, but we were still able to carry on a conversation. Although honestly, I didn't go there to talk!

Deb T.

Yelp
I would give 5 stars but the service is hit or miss. When our usual waitress is there, it is spot on, but otherwise just so so. The food is generally good. I love their Caesar salad( the dressing is homemade). My friend usually gets the Chicken Chesapeake wrap and enjoys it.

Yelp
Besides looking appealing, this salad was absolutely delicious! I would definitely order this again. Ssmc Original Crab Pretzels are amazing!!

Yelp
Silver Spring Mining Company has been a go-to restaurant for us for a few years. I had a friend introduce me to their Sour Beef and dumplings. I have returned many times over the years to sample a bit of my childhood. My grandmother made an amazing sour beef. Silver Spring Mining Company makes a wonderful version. I am in heaven every time I order it. We started our meal with their crab pretzel. It is huge! Not only is it huge, it is delicious! Our entire party of 5 split the pretzel and we still had some leftover. My husband gets the Maryland crab soup. I have tried it, and it is pretty good. Every Maryland Family has their version, Silver Spring Mining company has one that rivals Grandma's time honored recipe. I ordered Sour Beef, of course. My son ordered the Rockfish, my younger son ordered the rib and crab cake combo. My husband ordered a crab cake. Everyone completely enjoyed their orders. My youngest daughter ordered the crab pretzel as an entree. She just couldn't get enough of that crabby goodness. We didn't make it to dessert but maybe next time we can make it to trying something sweet.

Yelp
I ordered from here using Grub Hub on Father's Day and the order that came to my house was missing some key ingredients and components of the meal. I called the restaurant and explained what I was missing. An extremely polite and apologetic manager ended up calling Grub Hub on my behalf to refund the order amount. I then ordered the meal again and the manager ensured the order was correct and threw in a little something extra for the inconvenience. This is how customer service should be! You guys knocked it out of the park and I appreciated it more than you will ever know!

Yelp
EXCELLENT ! I would have given a 10 if I could..... (Perry Hall location) We wend there on a Friday night in early May. I was surprised that it was not crowded. The crab pretzels, the fajitas, the shrimp wrap, the steak sub, and the steamed shrimp were all really great. ( Yes, I had some of everybody's order). Great vodka tonic, Great waitress, great bartender. I'd go every night but I'd gain 200 pounds.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and the best sangrias. Five people in my party ordered them in different flavors and everyone raved about how deliciously perfect they were. The boom boom shrimp was pretty spicy. The fried green beans were amazing and the crab tots were pretty good. I will be back for more of those sangrias!

Yelp
1 star only because it has to be done to give review. Bill came to 32 dollars for a small salad (that only had field greens and tomato slivers), fried pickles, and 2 non-alcoholic drinks!! Attempted the cream of crab but it was certainly reheated and my spoon literally stood in it. They took it off the bill. The WORST part is my husband now has FOOD POISONING!! Clinically diagnosed by our doctor! He started with stomach pains then threw up literally 6 times last night, starting 2 hours after eating.
google avatar

William D.

Yelp
Always a great area to eat every time we visit Maryland. We always enjoy the crab cakes which are very large filled with lump crab meat and extremely filling. We had a great time celebrating our sons birthday as well during this visit. These pictures show the DELICIOUS ice cream we had for dessert :-)
google avatar

Hayley T.

Yelp
Ordered food from them via DoorDash. I asked for no onions on my burger as I am allergic. Was given onions that I did not notice until ate the burger. I don't know why it's so hard to NOT include toppings I did not ask for.

Kemp F.

Yelp
Great food in both locations. The employees are always helpful and friendly. They still have the Sour Beef and Dumplings like they had in the original German restaurant before they modernized. I visit frequently.

Yelp
Buy one. Get one. For a penny. Margaritas....need i say more? Ok fine I'll say more. I really like Silver Spring Mining Company. I know there's one in bel air, but I've only been to this one. I like the vibe, it's not too crowded but not too dead either. The food is good, I really like the crab pretzel a lot. They have a great seafood pasta also. But seriously, their happy hour specials are epic AND they run on weekends too.
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years and they never disappoint. I usually get a few apps as my meal, some favorites being the crab pretzel, chicken tenders, and fried pickles. On my most recent visit, I ventured out of my usual appetizer order and got a burger. It was a lil pricey after adding my toppings but the burger was huge so it was worth it. My dad got the jambalaya and loved it. It was a hefty portion served with a salad and garlic bread. Looking around, their seafood platters seem to be a big hit here. Silver Spring is def a place worth checking out. Give one of their daily or happy hour specials a try and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
So this was my first time here , we always pass by it and family members have often talked up their sour beef and crab pretzel so we decided to give it a try tonight . Luckily for me it was crab cake sandwich night and half price kids meal night . They have different specials each day and the half priced kids meals are mon-thurs . They have a lot to choose from for the kids meals and they seem like they have good sized portions too . My husband ordered the complete dinner , that comes with a choice of soup or salad, entrée and dessert (rice pudding or ice cream ). You can upgrade your cup of soup to a bowl for 2 dollars more or upgrade your dessert for 2 dollars more also . The complete dinner is a nice deal , you won't leave hungry and the prices are reasonable. So of course I had to taste a bit of everything, the crab soup was amazing! We split the bowl , it was the best I've had outside of homemade. His sour beef was tender , the gravy was sweet yet tart and overall yummy. He chose the baked sweet potato for a side and they include cinnamon butter with it . His dinner also came with two tiny potato rolls which are perfect for getting the rest of the gravy from the dish. The ice cream he received was great , all 3 of us had some . He chose the chocolate and it was served in this great shell, I loved the mix of textures. Now on to my yummy crab cake sandwich mmmm. I chose to have it broiled , I tend to prefer this method of cooking vs the frying. The crab cake was served on a soft potato roll and I asked for lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The tomatoes were thick and yummy , I'm however not a big fan of the Greenleaf lettuce on soft sandwiches but that's just personal preference so I took it off. The flavor of this crab cake was spot on ! No fillers or weird spices , a clean mix of flavors but not overwhelming to the flavor of the crabmeat. I'm a crab cake snob so these are good . The sandwich came with fries but they're not the ones I like much , they have that generic frozen taste but again not something horrible, just personal preference. The next time I get this I'll just swap the fries for a Cesar salad and pay the extra 2 dollars. The table next to us had them and they looked great . Overall I'm really pleased with our first experience and other than some tiny things I'd say it was perfect but for now I'll keep it at a 4.5 ( we need half stars lol ). I'd recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Yelp
It's ok. Dark in the bar area. Since the harp closed, this is the only late night bar around the neighborhood. Typical bar food. Place does need a deep cleaning. Other than that, it's almost like a dive bar.

Yelp
I won' t be back. Food was good but order was not complete and service by Grubhub was terrible. I placed and online order at 12:08 to be picked up at 5:45. I received a text at 1:49 confirming my order and that it would be ready between 5:45 and 5:55. I gave you a 5 hour and 37 minute head start you should be able to have it ready when I walk in the door at 5:45. I really needed to be somewhere with this meal at 6. I got to the restaurant right at 5:45 and when I went in I was told they had no record of my order. While in the process of putting my order in all over again and wondering if I was going to be billed twice, all of a sudden the order shows up on the grubhub screen. So I walk out of the restaurant at 6:05, why did I bother to put it in early in the afternoon. I could have walked in at 5:45 placed a carry out order and without all of the confusion of an incompetent service I could have been out of there in 10 minutes instead of the 20 that it took. I get to where I am going and set out the food and then discover that the Cole Slaw that is supposed to come with the order was not there. The Sour Beef was excellent as usual and The Baltimore Reuben was good but I traveled 25 miles for this meal and expected it to be ready and right and I was really disappointed. It may have been GrubHub's fault and not the restaurant but if they are the company that you are going to use for your online ordering then it reflects on you not them. Maybe you should rethink your relationship with them

Yelp
Waiter was crossing the line. Initially excited to try out this restaurant, I quickly felt attacked. I sat in a booth downstairs where the bar is. I asked our waiter the price of a soda, and he gave me a hard time. He was like, if you want a soda, just get a soda. Then I changed booths because there was a glare on the TV, and I wanted to watch the game that was on. When he came back, he looked at me and was like why'd you move? I told him there was a glare on the other TV, he looked at me, gave me a look, and said, you're difficult aren't you? I said to him, do you have a problem with that? He said no, I was like good, then he said "But I'm the one who handles your food." I got up and left. He was like, come on, I was joking... Really? Joking about messing with my food? That's something no waiter should ever joke about. Completely unprofessional. I called back days later to speak to a manager. He was apologetic and understanding, and said he'd bring it up to corporate and would see if he could get me back in with a gift card possibly. Never heard back from them. Not like I would go back there anyways. But at least follow through.

Yelp
This isn't a restaurant where I would normally dine, but I was invited to dine here with family on Thanksgiving. We had reservations and were taken to a table that had not yet been bussed. We stood around awkwardly while the hostess attempted to take away dirty dishes and clean off the table. We then sat for almost ten minutes without a server coming anywhere near our table. I had to flag down a server and ask him to wait on us. We were never given small plates and had to ask someone for silverware, which they put on the table for us to pass out ourselves. They served us our entrees in pieces so others had full meals while some were still waiting. The broccoli was undercooked and unseasoned and they were out of several menu and bar items. Extremely disappointing meal and I'll never go back.

Yelp
How anyone could give not this place 5 stars. They rock. Everything we had was great and Aubrey was supper. The desert was the best. If you are hungry start with the crab totts and then the shrimp toast. It is garlic bread covered in shrimp and then topped with melted cheese. I love this place can't wait to come back.

Yelp
We've been coming here for a while and I'm still not very impressed. My grandfather loves it though, he gets the sour beef and dumplings which is probably the best thing on the menu, and I'd recommend it. Their appetizers are the best part, obviously the crab pretzel is good, but my favorite is the mozzarella sticks which are in a crispy wonton like wrapper and are fantastic. But as far as entrees go nothing I've gotten is very special for the price, their sides are lacking as well.

Yelp
Definitely not happy today. Ordered crab soup and this is the way it was delivered to the table.

Yelp
The food here is delishious and not expensive. the servings are a great size too. my friend ordered a fish sandwich and the fish was longer than her bread. the fries and chips are great. i got a bowl of chili for an app and mmmmmm it was delish. i got this chicken wrap thing that had a lot of rice in it and it was yummy. we ate in the bar area and all the booths have tvs, so you can in theory watch any game you wanted on i guess, buta lot of families were out for lunch before christmas eve mass, so no games on, but plenty of cartoons on for the kiddies. also it wasn't too full of an area, but the waitress wasn't checking on us too much, jsut enough to make sure we knew she knew we were still there.

Yelp
Let me make this brief: 1) Hostess overlooked us twice to seat us after being told by the wait staff we were first. 2) bland over-cooked burger 3) unripe tomato and brown wilted lettuce as topping. 4) HAIR in my mayo 5) waitress said "Oh God" but never apologized or offered to take ANYTHING off the check or offer us desert. Do not eat here! I'd give less than one star if I could.

Yelp
The food is good, but the bartender is so unfriendly. He has been working there for years and I don't know why they keep him. He never smiles or makes you feel welcome. He definitely needs some customer service training! If I ever go in for food again and see him working the bar, I will definitely walk out.

Yelp
This Perry Hall location use to be an excellent place to dine, tonight it was bad, very bad. First off the greeter just stood there, my wife said party of 3, the greeter stood there like she was spaced out, then says how many, then I repeated party of 3, she walked away and 4 mins or so later comes back and says I think we can seat you.. our waiter was decent, great with food and refill service how ever he didn't get much right along of 2 of the three salads ordered were to be no cucumbers, then I ordered the stuffed rock fish topped with crab, the crab was delicious, the rock fish tasted like it was possibly cooked, frozen and cooked again. Sad to see a once great restaurant go down hill.

Yelp
My S.O. and I decided to try Silver Springs out a few weeks ago, and were really disappointed. Honestly, the staff were amazing. We had great service and felt at home. And then the food came. I ordered the Baltimore Rueben (crabmeat, shrimp, bacon, on marble rye with tomatoes, 100 island dressing and cheddar jack cheese). I was very excited to try something new. Usually, when someone orders seafood, they want to taste the seafood and not the pound of cheese melted on top of it. The same goes for my boyfriend's meal. He got the Shrimp Creole, but there was nothing creole about it. The food sounded delicious while reading it on the menu, but it was ultimately a very pricey flop. I've never wanted to not pay for a meal and instead only tip the server. This place has great potential if they decide to go forward with what makes the main part of their meals taste great, and not the cheese that covers it up.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing...where do I start? Service was impeccable...we had Evan as our server and not only was he friendly, but he went above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. Taste like heaven on a plate. I will definitely be back. Keep up the amazing customer service and you will have me as a customer for life

Yelp
Wonderful and delicious food. I've been there several times and have never ever been disappointed. I highly recommend them for the BEST Sour Beef and Dumplings, French Onion Soup and awesome Rice Pudding. Don't hesitate to give them a try. You will love them.

Yelp
The service and servers are good and friendly. The food is just ok. It is pricey for what you get. I am not a fan of advertising Drag Queen shows in the Men's room where underage children see it. I was a bit taken back when I saw it.
