Spoke to Kaela who was the sweetest customer service representative you could ever speak to, she was so accommodating. I was having problems with the website freezing up on me and was trying to book the last car available on their site for a last minute trip out to Seattle. She assured me we could get it done. Unfortunately things did not work out. When I went back to website the car was no longer available so I called back and somehow got to their main reservation site rather than Kaela. They told me to text her directly but didn't give further instructions on how to exactly do that, after many missteps, I finally got through to her but the car was gone! I told her the woman had told me they might be able to arrange for another car and she assured me she would speak to her manager and get back to me. Although it took all day and well into the evening (which was completely stressful on my end) her manager got back to me after 10:30pm that evening with a larger vehicle for us. I was shocked, amazed and relieved! I was due to leave for the airport at 4 am and had no car rental at that point. They were my saviors...they had gone above and beyond! They are a bit of a distance and not convenient to to SeaTac Airport but definitely well worth the drive. The service was impeccable and Kaela is beyond professional and goes beyond customer service standards commonly observed today. She got us set up and off in no time and all and even offered to drive us back to the airport on our return, which was we thought was so sweet and beyond what was required of her duties. I can't recommend Silvercar and Kaela enough. Every business these days needs a "Kaela" to help them be successful and promote their brand.
On our return we my husband arrived early with the car, before Kaela expected us and before she began work, however; the kind woman on duty (I'm so sorry that my husband did not get her name) got him a Lyft back to our hotel on Silvercar. Just another way that Silvercar goes on step beyond for their customers. Their cars are top notch and clean, the service is beyond amazing, the staff is beyond reproach and that is why we will keep coming back! Just as a footnote, we had to make another trip out just a week later and there was nothing available through Silvercar so we had to go with Dollar...what a difference. The woman at the airport counter was so rude! She tried upselling everything and when she couldn't she was even more rude (if that were possible). The car was not dirty but I can't say it was clean either, the tires were acceptable but they were not great and you want great when you are driving through hard pouring rain, thunder and lightening storms and cars are spinning out and hydroplaning all around you on a very long drive. It was not a comforting trip in that rental. Not to mention that when we went to leave the garage we had to show all identification and ID to get out with the car, as if we were stealing it, as if the rental agreement weren't enough! It was NOT a pleasant experience and one we will NEVER go through again. We will NEVER rent from Dollar again! The worst part - we had the car for one day!!! The charge was suppose to be $175, we returned the car early with a full tank of gas and were charged over $450 which I am currently battling them over. Neverending nightmare!!!
If I could give more than 5 stars to Silvercar, I definitely would...they certainly more than earned it! Try them you won't go back to regular rentals again and their prices are unbeatable.
