Incredibly mediocre food but incredibly good service with prime location and amazing ambiance. I tried the Tsukemen and the broth was not as strong as in other places, but the noodles were great. They put an insane amount of bean sprouts (almost as much or even more than noodles, lol), but both the food runner and the busses were so friendly that I still had to give them the 4 stars. Also, there was a super talented man singing Blues right outside (shoutout to Lenny the Great) which made the whole experience more enjoyable and added to the ambiance.

The truffle ramen was superduperlicious. The food took a while to arrive as the restaurant was popular with both dine-in and take-out. But I was in no hurry, sat outside and enjoyed the dusk tranquility. I did find the soup very rich but I guess that’s precisely what makes it flavorful. Wish they had a smaller size as there was no way I could finish the entire bowl. A pity!

Google
Great Ramens, with big portions. I think it was the best one I had in a long time. A really hearty and fullfilling bowl of ramen. The service and place itself were decent. Really recommend.

Good place! A friend of mine recommended show me this location. It is 5 mins away from 2 hour free parking. Good food, everything is gooooood! A lot of pictures of my friend, he is talented filmmaker by the way!

Google
The ramen was delicious and a very decent portion. I paid about 18$ for the veggie ramen. Service was also friendly. The place had a very pleasant atmosphere and cool decor. There are restrooms here, but no wifi. The food is brought to you and makes a very fresh impression.

If you're a Ramen fan, Silverlake Ramen is the best in Santa Monica/West L.A. The Spicy Blaze Ramen combo platter was tasty, filling, and affordable. The Blaze Spicy combo platter includes an appetizer (Pork. Chicken, or Vegan) karaage bites and a large bowl of Ramen with either pork, chicken or vegan. Plenty of soda and non-carbonated beverage choices (no alcohol is served at this establishment) were available. There was plenty of seating inside and some seating was available outside (unfortunately at no fault of this establishment, hostile homeless transients roaming Third Street Promenade, does not afford customers the desire to choose outside seating). Friendly staff were eager to assist with recommendations, feedback, and maintaining the cleanliness of this establishment. Pedestrian only access, as this establishment is located on the Third Street Promenade section of Santa Monica; parking available at nearby parking facilities for a fee. Would visit this establishment in the future.

Google
Very tasty ramen. I had one with pork belly and it was amazing — so flavorful and the meat melted in your mouth. Delicious casual spot for lunch!

One of my favorite restaurants! The food is incredibly flavorful and super affordable.

Yelp
The ramen options are great and customizable. It's especially good for vegetarians and the staff is more than happy to substitute meat for veggies on their meat ramen options as well. The staff is friendly and the self serve system is convenient. Seating options are nice , there's high tops and an outdoor seating space as well , but in the colder months it can get a bit chilly as they keep the doors open , so bring a jacket ! However , the warm comforting bowl of ramen will have you feeling warm and fuzzy in no time

Yelp
It was one of those nights where we wandered up and down the promenade, struggling to decide where to eat. With show tickets in hand, we knew we needed to eat quickly. I was a little worried when we settled on Silverlake Ramen, thinking it might take too long, but I should've just relaxed and enjoyed the experience. The quick-order menu boards were a great time-saver. Unfortunately, we did have to search for a clean table--essentially choosing the one with the least amount of leftover mess from previous customers. Thankfully, our ramen arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and we made it to the show just as it was starting, which was a huge relief.

Yelp
Gratitude I feel For the employees and management of Silverlake Ramen on third street promenade Here in Santa Monica. The hot wholesome broth And hot green tea Are truly nourishment to my soul. The sesame oil condiment Added at my own discretion is a joy. Much more than this No one objected to me charging my phone here. This is particularly precious to me.

Yelp
"One of the best (only) ramen shops in Santa Monica" Located on the third street promenade, this is one the only ramen shops in Santa Monica, aside from the revived Jinya on Main Street. The location is great, public parking is free for two hours, and it's a convenient walk to/from the pier. I've been coming here for years and the menu has gone through a few iterations (there was even a Naruto collab at one point). During my last visit there was cajun ramen, which is far from anything you'd see in Japan but surprisingly fun and tasty. Side dishes are great (karage is a must) and there are also customizable options. Portion wise it looks like a lot, but the bowls are a bit shallow. In terms of the atmosphere, I do look the variety of seating options here and the overall vibe. You can sit next to the kitchen in a stool, at a table with friends, or even right on the promenade. Price and service are two things that have changed over the years. Prices are a bit high but that's to be expected these days. Service now consists of a self serve kiosk, which asks you to tip via a long guilt tripping message. I like the efficiency of the kiosk, but not its attempt to convince me this is a full service restaurant. Someone will bring you your food, yes, but not sure if that warrants the suggested 15-20% tip. There also used to be a self serve water station which has disappeared. Overall this is a fine place if you're craving ramen. Given the lack of options it's worth coming to every once in a while. Protip: ask for water when your food gets delivered to your table.

Yelp
I was surprised to find a ramen place in the middle of 3rd street and decided to try it. The menu on the monitor was easy to understand and the order was placed pronto. The restaurant has a modern look and does not ready resemble a Japanese food place. However it still has a pretty cool vibe. The staff was friendly and the food was served in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen. The broth was flavorful without being heavy. The noodle was cooked to perfection (slightly on the al dente side). The boiled egg was on the spot and the pork chasu was so tender that I was able to tear it with spoon. The bamboo shots were soft and went well with the rest of the bowl. The price was reasonable and a great option for those visiting the area.

Yelp
This Silverlake Ramen was located at 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. The food was excellent! We got the classic ramen, chicken karage curry over rice and the chicken soboro rice. All the food tasted delicious and flavorful. The broth of the ramen wasn't too salty or oily, and I got two big pieces of pork. The soboro rice was comforting. Every bite was pure joy for me. The warm rice mixed with the minced savory chicken and eggs were perfectly balanced by the acidity from the red pickled ginger, chopped green onions and the slightly sweet sauce. I loved it! The ambiance was casual, trendy and lively. Service was fine. I look forward to coming back here again for the rice and desserts!

Yelp
I got sick after eating here. Someone is sick their kitchen is not up to standard. The food felt slimy and undercooked

Daniel D.

Yelp
Amazing ramen, great service. Not a lot places to seat but it can be done for small groups. Highly recommend this ramen in Santa Monica

Stefany W.

Yelp
Is this the best ramen place that I've ever had? No but it's convenient, price is decent and it's pretty good. I came for the Naruto collab and unfortunately didn't get it because I thought the price was insane for those combos. So I ended up opting for the regular combo with the blaze ramen and the chicken kaarage. The ramen was good and flavorful. Definitely not spicy even tho I asked for extra spicy. But the noodles were cooked al dente and the broth was legit. The only downside was the random spinach since I never see spinach in ramen. The chicken kaarage was so good. Extremely crispy and delicious. Would definitely go back to get a large order of them. My coworkers both got the spicy tuna bowl. I had a bite of the tuna, I thought it was ok but they enjoyed it. Overall it's a pretty decent lunch spot.

Karen Y.

Yelp
Arrived in Santa Monica and was trying to figure out what to eat. Decided to get ramen since you can't go wrong with ramen. Decided to also get a regular sized appetizer of the chicken karaage. The chicken karaage was really crispy and I love the dipping sauce. You definitely do have to squeeze the lemon on the chicken for the acidity. The veggie ramen was okay. It wasn't the best ramen in my opinion--instead of a cohesive bowl I thought it was like all the veggies were cooked separately and then put together. The noodles were cooked well. I think this is a good spot if you're solo dining or if you're coming with 1-2 friends. There's a lot of 2 seat tables and maybe only 1-2 long tables. There's also outdoor seating and a water station.

Yelp
TLDR: One of the better ramen spots in LA. The thick broth hits that sweet spot of almost being too thick but at the same time thin enough for you to keep going. This isn't a place I'd recommend someone go to every week, but a once every 2 month visit is reasonable. Garlic Truffle Ramen: The first 2 bites are the best. The thick Tonkotsu broth, the thin firm noodles, and the aroma of the truffle gives this premium feel to the bowl. This unfortunately falls off the further you go in the meal. The Chashu has good flavor and is a respectable size. The egg white was on the saltier side but the yolk cuts through that very easily. The veggies inside aren't traditional Japanese but they get the job done to add color to the bowl. Chicken karaage: It's honestly quite unremarkable. Imagine the most average karaage you've ever eaten and put it up a notch or 2. I'd still get it when I go back. I just wouldn't go here just for the chicken Service: You order before sitting down and water is self service. There is not much to talk about other than them serving you your food. Ambiance: It's a mix between a small to medium Japanese ramen house along with a 1 block off the coastal view restaurant feel. It's nice but I can feel that it might be an issue during the summer.

Yelp
Yummy ramen and chicken Karaage bowl! We also got green tea and lemonade:) the food came out super quick too!

Jorge G.

Yelp
Inside seating is very uncomfortable, the online 2 screen ordering is confusing and food was okay, nothing great. I've been to their silverlake location and food is somewhat much better. The place is not inviting and with the door facing seating area made the place super cold.

Eileen S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch and got the Garlic Truffle Ramen and it was delish! Truffle flavor wasn't overpowering (I wasn't burping up truffle the rest of the day), the chunks of garlic were perf, and the pork was tender and melted in my mouth. Appreciated the quick service (they weren't busy at all when I got there). I was in and out of the restaurant within 30 minutes. Fantastic choice for a relaxing lunch break on a time crunch.

Haley C.

Yelp
the quality of the ramen here is really great! I would say the portions here for the combo meal is enough to split amongst 2 people and leave having satisfied your appetite. the service here is decent, nothing great but not terrible

Roman K.

Yelp
I waited 50 minutes for a mediocre noodle soup for 20$. Never again. Looks like common canteen.

Kirill H.

Yelp
Good place! A friend of mine recommended show me this location. It is 5 mins away from 2 hour free parking. Good food, everything is gooooood! A lot of pictures of my friend, he is talented filmmaker by the way!

Yelp
When I visited LA 10 years ago, my friend took me to Silverlake Ramen in Silverlake. It was so incredible, we went back all three nights I was in town. Now that I live in LA, I've been meaning to revisit this steaming bowl of ramen that blew my mind a decade ago. Sadly, the Santa Monica location is worlds different and not in a good way. I ordered the vegan ramen and, sadly, there was a piece of pork in it. After a tough week, I decided to pick it out and persevere. The ramen broth was so bland, I added fresh basil, red chili flakes and basil in an attempt to improve it - but that did little. The broth to noodle ratio was also very it lopsided, with way more noodles than broth. There were just a couple of bites of veggies in this vegan bowl. I'm really bummed by the experience - I thought I'd gotten lucky to have one nearby but this visit was not at all the delectable flavor I remember. It's definitely possible this was an off night, but I came in with high expectations and it just fell flat.

Moddy F.

Yelp
Ordered delivery. Nothing has taste. Blaze ramen just taste like spicy water, the garlic truffle ramen didn't taste like truffle or garlic. Nooodles were undercooked. Not sure what the draw is. Edit: gf got food poisoning. It's the only thing she ate today. I didn't get it bc i threw mine away after one taste. This place sucks

Alan C.

Yelp
Employees and kitchen staff were really nice. The Resturant has seating at community tables and counters. Stools are attached to the floor and they are okay for my height 5"10' They offer limited outdoor seating. I think the food would be fine for kids, but the seating might be uncomfortable for little ones. I did not ask about kids chairs, perhaps they have those. Prices were very reasonable, our order was under $45 for our two Ramen's and the 6 gyoza. It was really good and wish it was closer.

David J.

Yelp
Hole in the wall kinda place. Food was tasty, I like the chicken karage. The pork belly bao was fine. The place felt cafeteria like. Order at registers and they bring your food to you. I went to get my own water and after I sat down I saw lip stick on my cup. I went back up to get another cup. If you want a quick bite to eat during a busy day shopping at the mall it's fine.

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Review is really a 3.5 rating. This was a nice ramen spot for those chilly beach nights. Reason why it wasn't a 4 star rating was because the dining area is really small. There's only a few tables for a party of 2 by the walls, about 10 stools by the chef's area and one really long table in the middle. You'll be sitting near strangers with no much personal space. We came here for dinner around 830p on a Monday night mid March. I can't image how crowded and chaotic it can be on a weekend. So we ordered The Classic Ramen (with chicken) and The Garlic Truffle Ramen (also with chicken). Both were delicious but we both agree The Garlic Truffle wins...hands down. If you're into anything truffle....I strongly suggest to order this. Flavor was just poppin! You order with the cashier, they give you a number and good luck finding a seat. Food & beverages were brought out to us. I heard positive comments about Silverlake Ramen in general. Maybe it's the cramp location but food wise, this is a fine choice while roaming around Third Street Promenade, date night, or after you've been out hanging around Santa Monica Beach all day.

Lucía V.

Yelp
It was a good dish, and the only thing is that it would be better if the serve it hotter. The place is good as you can see Promanade street so I recommend you sit in the outside tables. The service is fine and friendly.

Emma C.

Yelp
Since this is right on the promenade, the outdoor seating area is the perfect place to people-watch and listen to the street performers while eating. The food comes out very quickly and is big portion size. Each of their toppings (pork, egg, spinach) was cooked perfectly. The broth is on the creamier side and was a bit too rich/heavy for me but is flavored really well.

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Came here with 3 other people on a Thursday night around 8P. We ordered a variety of food. I can't speak to all the food since I didn't try everything. Atmosphere: It is a smaller place and if you have a large party, it is pretty hard to find seats. Most of the seats are for 2 people except a long family style table. Food: Edamame Fried gyoza Crispy Chicken Karaage Garlic Truffle Ramen Cajun Mazemen Mabo Tofu Bowl Honestly, everything was just mediocre. I would have rated this 3 stars, but there were a few things that bumped it down. First, the fried gyoza were all broken so the meat was spilling out when we were trying to eat it. The ramen was decent. I did feel the Truffle ramen was good but the soup just felt a little heavy. It was still good. I didn't try the Cajun Mazemen but the noodles were not cooked well. Some of the noodles were still hard and stuck together. Also, do note that you won't get a lot of soup with it. It's just the way the dish is, so get something out if you want a normal soup based ramen. The mabo tofu was a little sad. The sauce was so thick like it was left out to dry, so it was just stuck together and didn't run very nicely. Service: They have a lot a doordash orders so I get that they are busy. They probably need more staff. When we were in line, I saw that some people were getting their ramen within 5 minutes of ordering. We waited a while at the register to put in our order. When we sat down, we waited almost 20-30 minutes for everything to arrive. The mabo tofu dish came out first, but had to wait another 15 minutes for the Cajun mazemen to come out. Then another 5-10 minutes for the garlic truffle ramen. The appetizers came out at the same time as the ramen. Even the edamame came out late. Also, we had to wait for someone to clear one side of the shared table. Even 40 minutes later, the other side of the table wasn't cleared of all the bowls from another party. They didn't even wipe down the table either, so we had to clean it ourselves. I have heard that the different locations might be better so I think it really depends on where you go. Overall, unless I was craving the truffle ramen, I wouldn't come back here.

Maxine K.

Yelp
It's a great location. The food is just ok. The chicken bun is delicious but pretty spicy!

Susan A.

Yelp
Love Silverlake Ramen! Having lived in Asia for a handful of years but mostly grew up here I've gained an appreciation for good ramen when I can find it. And this is it. Lovely balance of flavors and noodles to perfection. I've been bereft since my favorite ramen place Chabuya Japan closed. But happy again with Silverlake. I know there are big fans of the famous place on Sawtelle, which I also like, but that style of ramen is heavier and I hate the ambient smell of the restaurant. My go to order at Silverlake Ramen is the Classic with Tofu.

Tashonda J.

Yelp
I work near this ramen place and its my go to on work days. The portions are big and the broths are delicious!!!!! This last visit I had dumplings ( fried) and blaze ramen with medium spice! Perfecto!!!! The star is the cajun mazemen!!!!! I had it during a previous visit.... Omg it's the best thing since sliced bread... please never take that off the menu :-) Service is always good... just an all around nice spot for a quick bite of ramen!

Jen H.

Yelp
We were in Koreatown but wasn't feeling Korean food since we had just had Korean food. I don't usually like ramen but my husband insisted we try this place. The food was cheap, tasted pretty good, and it was a fun time making our own sake bombs. The gyoza and chicken karaage were on point. The sushi I could have passed on. The shoyu ramen was surprisingly yummy. It was not salty and the broth had good flavor. I forgot to take a picture before we dig into it. Server was nice when she came around but don't expect world class service. I think there were only two servers for the whole restaurant. Ambiance is casual.

Cheryl I.

Yelp
Ramen was decent, broth could've used a bit more flavor. I liked the noodles. Overall it's decent ramen. But I'll keep searching. I know it's other options that are tastier.

Carrie L.

Yelp
Solid, affordable lunch spot for the area especially on a gray, blustery day. My go to is the Chicken Shoyu (a solid, light option). The food is consistently fresh, satisfying, and prompt. Service is friendly and speedy. While their offerings aren't more unique (ie. noodle variety, broth variety), they are a solid and good spot for the area and I'm so grateful they are on 3rd Street. Very minor - I wish their dine-in seating was a little more comfortable. The tables are quite small, especially when dining with coworkers, and the stools require a bit of balancing to stay on. Overall, highly recommend if you're craving ramen in the area!

Izzie L.

Yelp
The ramen broth is SO delicious and Medium hot isn't even that spicy! Overall it's a pretty well-made ramen, even though it doesn't come with many things-- just noodles, pork, and the egg). The pork slice was really thin and long, compared to most ramen places that give you a few thick square shaped slices. I didn't enjoy the unique cut too much. You order at a booth and sit down anywhere, and then they'll announce your order.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Big portions for the ramen, enough to get one full. The flavor was amazing, and I enjoyed how the sauces were free range so we could use as much as preferred. Very enjoyable.

Joe S.

Yelp
I had the shoyu ramen. Noodles were properly cooked. The broth was light and flavorful. I found the chashu especially unique and tasty. Much more like pork belly than the usual round thin cuts of pork. Just what I needed on a chilly evening before I walked home.

Doreen M.

Yelp
Came here for outdoor ramen. They have a small section outside, but it is more bar stools and counters vs actual tables. I like the location is here, but prefer the Silverlake orig location because there is waiter service. Here it is counter service. I got the classic flavor which was good. The bowls are oddly shaped and sort of deceptive. I've never seen ramen bowls like these. The bottom of the ramen bowl is super tiny, but the mouth/opening is the size of a regular bowl. So the shape of the bowl is almost like size of a very small miso soup bowl on the bottom and then it fans out super wide like a regular plate. I am not sure if they do this for certain flavors or they got new bowls at some point. See Victor A's photo here: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/silverlake-ramen-santa-monica-4?select=Ke0rMMS2k0ypwM6Ux0pV0w

Yelp
2 stars - not worth it, won't be coming back. I will point out that I'm Japanese so I'm a bit harsher on the Japanese cuisine reviews. This one comes no where close to authentic Japanese ramen. But if you're looking for "Americanized" ramen, then this might not be a bad pick. I started my meal with gyoza. I asked for them boiled (I think he meant steamed?) but I got it fried. The inside was mushy and it tasted like it was out of a bag. Then my Classic Ramen arrived, and at first glance I was pretty excited! I always taste the broth first, and sadly was underwhelmed. It was bland, not much of the creamy broth I was hoping for. The "men" (noodles) were pretty good. It wasn't too hard, nor soft, and had a good texture to it. I was mostly disappointed about the chashu (the pork). It's supposed to be simmered, fall-off-the-chopstick soft. But for some reason mine was cooked for too long, rather hard, and too crispy. The egg also didn't have that awesome ramen-egg taste, where it's supposed to have been marinating and full of umami. Instead, it was just... an egg... For the $25 I paid, I was pretty disappointed. But maybe it's to be expected to pay high prices for crap "Japanese" food at a touristy location. Unfortunately I won't be back.

Maria D.

Yelp
5 stars is not enough stars. I'm obsessed with their food. I had ordered their Spicy Chicken Ramen, with a side of chili oil, the Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice, and this interesting chicken and rice bowl thing whose name I can't recall but I'm very satisfied. I recommend Silverlake Ramen to every Ramen lover or enthusiast. It met my expectation in every way. They have seating indoors and outdoors, the food comes out in a timely manner, and my complicated order was brought to me 100% correctly. They check every box for me and I can't wait to stop by again soon!

Connor Y.

Yelp
Sliverlake Ramen has a pretty efficient system for ordering the menus is fairly simple. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The Ramen is good had lots of nice flavors but I ordered the spiciest ramen and it wasn't really that spicy. But also liked that it has option to switch certain things out. The lemonade was ok nothing crazy. Overall experience a 3

Jenny L.

Yelp
Great spot to eat during off hours! Service is very quick and it's a casual seating area so I can see how it gets frustrating during rush hours! The food is amazing too! My partner and I both got the truffle ramen from tiktok and it was amazing !!! Not the most authentic but delicious regardless and I would def recommend coming here during off-hours for a nice chill meal

Van N.

Yelp
This took me by surprise in the middle of a shopping center. Odering at the counter was quick. Seating is plenty indoors and outdoors. We shared the house salad and their classic tonkotsu. The salad dressing was light. Im not sure if it worked for us. The tonkotsu broth was really hitting the spot. The pork was good but its not chashu if you're looking for that. It was tasty though. The egg was perfectly done. Its definitely worth a trip back!

Tricia K.

Yelp
Got two classic ramens, a pork bun and creamy broccolini. The broccolini was crispy in a cream sauce. It was good. The ramen was okay. We ordered churros for dessert but they didn't look like the picture.

Krys N.

Yelp
This is definitely good stop for a ramen pick me up! The bowls are great sizes with a nice selection for whatever you want to get. Get the Classic or Veggie if you want to keep it traditional. Go for the Garlic Truffle if you want something more unique. If you're also looking for a quick dessert treat, they have churros and ice cream for $5.75. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and I recommend the outdoor seating for people watching on the Promenade plus you might catch a street performer or two playing music. A good casual dining spot for a quick meal after a day of shopping. Enjoy!

Laura W.

Yelp
This place is in a great (busy) location on the 3rd Street Promenade. We wanted ramen close to our hotel but they were closed, so we walked to this spot. If you're looking for a quiet spot on a weekend night, this is not the place. There are street performers outside (with competing performances) and lotsssss of people. When you walk in you wait in line, check out the menu, then order at the counter. An easy process that moves pretty quickly. There is some outside seating and a lot of small indoor tables. We sat at an indoor table that was duct taped down the center. So...there is nothing fancy about the design/interior. Our ramen came out quickly and was delicious! We got a spicy ramen and a veggie ramen. My veggie was one of the best veggie ramens I've gotten. Perfectly cooked broccolini, corn, tofu, sprouts, mushrooms, avocado, and greens. I have no complaints. I ate it all! The broth was yummy and comforting. They also had other food items on the menu, appetizers, and drinks. We were in and out quickly. This isn't a "sit and have a long luxurious catch up with friends" restaurant, but is great when you just want a solid bowl of ramen! Would definitely return.

Megan K.

Yelp
i'm so grateful when i find restaurants with good vegetarian options. and let me tell you, the veggie ramen is GOOD. like, SO GOOD. the array of veggies is incredible. everything is cooked and seasoned wonderfully. and the flavor profile is insaaaane. it's easily one of the best ramens i've ever had, and i crave it often (especially on cold days lol). this is a smaller restaurant, but there's a decent amount of seating inside and there are also a few tables outside. walk up and order at the counter, and you should have all of your food in less than 15 minutes :)

Parker R.

Yelp
Well it's not the original Sistine service was quaint, attentive. And helpful I know it's a yuppie spin on something that should be marvelous wherever you sit down to enjoy it The temp is now 61 degrees and for some reason they have the door wide open! Well we aren't mr Minnesota so spicy it my friend ...Sudamin! Promenade is surprisingly dead it's Tuesday but the few heads that are out are pleasant smiling and in a cheery mood..for SaMo this is a good thing ! Yelp
I was in the mood for tsukeman and I had never tried the one at Silverlake Ramen, so I eagerly went for lunch. Sadly, I was really disappointed by it. The broth is ok, but it has an aftertaste with a hint of wasabi, or some type of horseradish, which I did not like. It wasn't spicy like wasabi, just had that taste. But what really brought down the meal was the temperature of the broth. It was lukewarm, while there were a few pockets that were hot. So they did not do a good job of reheating it, or however they prepare it. I did not like dipping the ramen in lukewarm broth, and slurping lukewarm noodles. The pork was really good though. But overall a hard no.

Yelp
It's okay -- and sometimes that's not a bad thing. Was craving ramen for delivery, would normally opt for Cagami in Camarillo but alas, they were close. Got the good ole Tonkotsu Ramen. Broth was decent, it just honestly lacked depth of what it should be like. The noodles were okay, it was a little starchy, not sure if it was the cook or the actual noodles used. But I also usually prefer mine on the firmer side. The plus side is the pork in it is a big Chashu is decent size and was not dry. Solid 3/5 Mabo Tofu 1/5 - le sigh ---- where do I even begin, as soon as I saw the bowl I was already skeptical, the huge chunks of tofu was the giveaway, traditionally cut smaller and silken tofu so it grabs on the chili oil + szechuan. Tasted it and unfortunately my hunch was correct, the flavor was mild. Don't get me wrong the spice was there and a little saltiness but that was it. I love tasting the bean sauce, szechuan, chili oil, garlic and ginger whenever I get Mabo Tofu but all those were unfortunately not in this dish. It's also unfortunate because the dish originated from Sichuan province. :( Ordered it delivery, everything was packed well with utensils included. No spill of broth in sight and bowl was nice and secure. Will I be back probably not. I'd take my impatient self to Cagami & Mom Wong. and remind myself why I go back there all the time lol

Yelp
Great food, but they always run out of it and do not answer their phone. It is a shame, I do like their food but when I do go (even during the week) they have run out of food. I also have attempted to call to order for pickup and the line either hangs up or does not get answered.
