Yelp
Bartender Dylan at the Mermaid Lounge provided great service while manning the bar and tables on his own. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Silverton offered me a 3 night comp stay, I thought that was great. The compy, of course, was based on my gambling play. I had stayed there in the recent past, and viewed this offer as very positive. I booked 6 nights !!! Three ( 3 ) comped, and three charged !!! I was given a total cost for this stay and they DID NOT give me individual nightly charges prices. It turned out that I was being charged $ 299.00 plus 33.99 for a Thursday, and $ 399.00 plus 33.99 for a Friday !!! Way, way out of line for my pocket book. The also gave me " $ 50.00 in table play. What that meant is that I was given a lip of paper that had # 25.00 ( 2) were received, and I had to play them. If I won the bet, I would receive $ 25.00 back, NOT $ 50.00. Seems to me that practice is very questionable and bordering on false advertising. My point: make sure you get pricing from this hotel with your reservation ahead to time !! It would be just good business sense.

Yelp
Not in the strip and its free parking . We were here for the sting ray feeding attraction and mermaids swim . No tickets needed , the performance is in the middle of their hotel so anyone is welcome to view. "Free Attraction in Las Vegas," the Silverton Las Vegas aquarium holds more than 117,000 gallons of water, and it's home to thousands of tropical fish. Interactive Stingray Feedings Daily 1:30PM and 4:30PM Mermaid Swims Thursday - Saturday 12PM - 8PM Sunday 10:30AM - 6:30PM Mermaids swim every half hour, except during scheduled stingray feedings.

Yelp
I've been a Las Vegas local for over 20 years now, but I finally had a chance to visit the Silverton Casino over an October weekend! My family and I wanted to visit the Silverton Casino Aquarium to view all of the holiday decorations for the season! We also stopped inside the Bass Pro Shop since we were at the Silverton Casino! The Silverton Casino is located off of the I15 South and Blue Diamond. There is plenty of outside parking and a parking garage as well! We ended up parking in the parking garage as there was plenty of open spaces available! When we first walked into the casino, we found a team member at the Silverton Casino and asked where the Aquarium was located. We were provided directions and found the way over to the Silverton Aquarium. My family and I ended up shopping at the Bass Pro Shop for a little while until we ended up watching the 4:30 Stingray show at the Silverton Aquarium. It was very educational! The Aquarium was also decorated for Halloween. The Silverton Casino also has plenty of restaurants too! Some of those include the following Twin Creeks Mi Casa Grill Cantina Su Casa Sushi Sundance Grill WuHu Noodle Starbucks Johnny Rockets This is a beautiful hotel and casino! The built in Bass Pro Shops is absolutely stunning! There was a waterfall and some ducks inside the nature area. This is a must visit if you're in the area!!

Yelp
Last night Los Lonely Boys treated concertgoers to a great performance, while singing some of their classics. The group has been performing for over twenty-five years and still draws crowds whenever they perform. The diversity of last night's crowd showed the appeal the group and their music has had over the years in the lives of so many. Should you have an opportunity to catch them at a concert, I suggest you do.

Yelp
It's one of the better casinos off the strip, you don't smell instant smoke when you walk in or through this casino. People are smoking but if it's not super packed inside you can't even tell. They have a big bar in the middle with lots of screens for all your sports needs. A variety of slots, tables, restaurants and food courts to chose from. However if you have food allergies this isn't really the place for you. Also when you walk up front you have a big Aquarium where they have mermaid shoes and they feed the fish. Bass pro shops is also connected to this casino.

Yelp
It's been almost a month of being home from my trip. I constantly think of the Silverton Lodge and Casino and how much I enjoyed my stay. I cannot wait to go back. Everything about the casino was great; the wide selection of slots, dining options, and Bass Pro Shops on site. My mom's shoes broke on the first day. Bought her 2 new ones without leaving the property! So great! The casino staff are so warm, caring, friendly and extremely helpful. (I lost a voucher and Melinda and Ashley assisted with tracking it and giving me information on what to do if it happens again. Mostly, don't wait 3 days to report it!) They remembered me throughout my stay and always greeted me with a smile. With the good, there's always a bit of bad. The restroom near the Sundance was closed. Mom in a wheelchair. Long way to the next restroom. Lots of slots were down / out of order. I understand about staffing shortages, so no worries. There are so many other machines open to play. Not a super crowded casino like the ones on the strip or downtown. It was the perfect vacation!

Yelp
Today I slipped into a pair of my wife's workout pants. Somehow it felt like a perfect fit. Years ago if we shared each other's wardrobe we would have been labeled as cross dressers. As the fitness evolution of continues to unite the tides. Today it would simply be considered cross training accessories. Much like the image of the Silverton casino itself. Originally designed as Boomtown casino in 1993. At the time the name was associated with a nuclear power testing site. Three years later, on the 12th month of the last hour. The Witching Hour. Boomtown converted into the Silverton. Like a precious desert metal melted and refined into a shining silver. Like a circus clown redefined into Nobel jester of courtship. Like an old witch swanned into a most beautiful mermaid.

Yelp
We found this gem of a resort off the beaten path in Las Vegas! My friend loves aquatic life so we took her to this giant huge fish tank!! You have to see it! We just passed through! I also loved the lawns that are so well kept with all the relaxing seats. Loved this place so beautiful!

Yelp
Have you been to the Silverton Casino and Resort in Las Vegas? They have: Daily mermaid show Largest Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World in America And amazing roast duck Solid and affordable Cantonese food Good customer service. Lots of slot machines and different variety. Very rustic looking and super local. They have abundant EV charging too. Definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
If you are driving in to Las Vegas from Southern California you will see Silverton at Blue Di exit well worth a visit . The Bass Pro Shop has waterfalls and aquariums. The Casino is like a Craftsman Lodge ., high ceilings and beautiful lighting. The Mermaid Bar is worth a visit. There is a wide variety of machines and Table games. Parking is plentiful. There is a nice outdoor space with Adirondack chairs and fire pits near the entry if you just need a brake.

Mike N.

Yelp
I visited this place since they opened with different name , I used to stay there and gamble weekly , up to couple years ago it was a nice local place but now their customer service has been awful . they reduced their reward of comp to regular customers . one of the reason a local casino get more people to come and gamble was their reward system with free food and free games. unfortunately Silverton got really cheap in that case and lost a lot of regular players. also their quality of food is not as it used to be . so bad customer care and bad food is the reason now when you go there you don't see many people gambling.

Yelp
Stopped by for banana splits and some gaming. Had a real good time and the ice cream was great.

Yelp
It is all about the Mermaids. At least, that is why I came here. The Silverton has had a recent makeover since my last visit in the early 2000s. The casino has a huge aquarium filled with a variety of fish. The hotel hosts a daily mermaid show, which makes for a fun, family-friendly activity. Since it is one of the first casinos visible as one enters Las Vegas. It makes for a decent spot to stretch your legs and have a bite. There is not a whole lot going on here. It is pretty low key. Attached to the hotel is a huge Outdoor World/Bass pro store which worth visiting. There is a nearby Cracker Barrell and a small food court. Parking is free. Once you hit the strip, most resorts charge a parking fee. Staff is friendly. I would return to drop a few bills, relax, and see the mermaids.

Yelp
Mad Hatter pop-up at Silverton Casino. Every time there's a cute theme here, I always want to check it out. I'm so happy I was in town to see and experience this one because the drinks were yummy and so cute and of course the photo opps were amazing. It was so cute and colorful in here, I really enjoyed coming in for a quick drink. This place is so simple but yet they have delicious drinks every time. I can't wait to see what the next theme will be.

Yelp
Two Stars for the Silverton because the Casino is a bummer and the restaurant staff is rude. I'll leave my restaurant complaints out of this review, because I already reviewed the restaurant itself. The casino, however, is just a miserable experience. For starters, the cigarette smoke stench in this casino is far stronger than any other casino that we visited during our stay. It was unbearable. Also, the casino itself just feels run down and full of low-lifes. It's just not a fun experience. The casino staff wasn't particularly friendly either. Yes, there is a big beautiful aquarium at the entrance. It's nice, but good luck seeing anything behind the wall of tourists that crowd the view. Overall, we came away unimpressed with the Silverton.

Yelp
I came across this place from a travel app. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The room was very clean and large. I am very big on bathrooms/restrooms, and the bathrooms were extremely clean. This wasn't a trip for partying, we came for a wedding. Since we were away from home, we really wanted to rest. Well, the beds did not disappoint. They were so comfortable. We had the best sleep. Finally, the staff were very pleasant. **We did not gamble during our stay. However, there are plenty of games to choose from.
google avatar

Juliana A.

Yelp
Very family un friendly. Maybe that's what they want . No changing stations for baby in bathrooms . Not ADA compliant . I don't see a restroom that's accommodating for a large wheelchair and caretaker either . Just frustrated that I needed to change my toddler asap and I had a hard time .

Yelp
This review is for the casino only. I am a Vegas local so I've never stayed here. Silverton is the second closest casino to my boyfriend's house, the first closest being South Point. I'm actually surprised that we haven't paid them a visit yet! It's right off the I-15 and Blue Diamond exit, which makes access very quick and easy. Currently their hotel tower is closed for renovations, but their actual casino floor and restaurants are still open. There's a Hyatt Place right next door is you're looking to stay somewhere in the area. We visited Silverton specifically to check out some of their restaurant options and we ended up at WuHu Noodle (see my separate review for them). Alongside WuHu Noodle, you can find Johnny Rockets, Mi Casa Grill Cantina, Mermaid Restaurant & Lounge, and Twin Creeks Steakhouse, to name a few. Unlike South Point's Starbucks, Silverton's Starbucks is not open 24/7. If you're looking for a late night Starbucks run here, you're out of luck. Attached to the Silverton is Bass Pro Shops, which I visited many years ago. Located next to the Bass entrance is a giant aquarium. They also have a non-smoking sportsbook with multiple big TVs all around. Plenty of slot machines and blackjack tables to play as well. As much as I wanted to play, I didn't want to at the same time. I like South Point better, but I don't mind visiting Silverton again.

Yelp
My wife and I come here at least twice a week and spend quite a bit of money here. This may be changing due to a couple of things going on here. My wife is a high-level player, I'm lower-level, and I just wanted to share a couple of things. Silverton was one of the few casinos that actually gave you your coins in actual coins, meaning, if you put in a ticket for $100.75, you get $100 in paper money and the change in coins. Found out recently that they now give you a printed ticket instead. Ok, we can combine tickets or whatever, but many people, especially visitors that don't frequent here, will lose this money. It's not a big issue, but I'm not very pleased with this. Second, and this one got me upset. My wife was playing a slot machine (I wasn't around her), and she had to use the restroom. She asked a slot attendant if he could watch her machine for a couple of minutes because she had to go really, really bad. He told her, "NO, WE DON'T DO THAT YOU HAVE TO CASH OUT." So, the time it took her to talk to the attendant and get denied, well, she didn't quite make it to the toilet in time. She is really upset and embarrassed about this incident and wants to quit going to Silverton Casino since they don't take care of their high-level customers.

Yelp
5 stars for staff friendliness 3 stars for accommodations = 4 stars The staff was super friendly, from the restaurant staff, to the front desk to Douglas at the pool, to the Mermaid bar staff to housekeeping, they were all great! The pool is very small, and most of the chairs are reserved for a fee, so you need to get there early or else you'll need to pay for a chair or cabana. The resort also had a slight foul smell to it, like it had a sewage problem, only in certain areas, but enough to notice. I saw Heart of Blonde there at night, it was a great show. The showroom is more like a conference room with tons of chairs and little room for dancing. The kids liked the mermaids. Oh and we won $500 gambling so you can't beat that.

Yelp
Went in for a quick stay away lol and had a fabulous night sleep! They have renovated all their rooms and they did a great job! The rooms were clean, the beds were super comfy and the staff at this hotel are sooo very nice! And don't forget they have great restaurants as well. Love that it is off the strip as well so this hotel is a great value! And free Valet! What more could you want?

Yelp
After a long ride down to Las Vegas from Reno, the boys and I searched for a chill place to park for the night and have a good old cold beer. UNLUCKLY, we ended up at the Silverton Hotel and Casino, where we went 0-3 on drinks. Can you believe a bar, a Las Vegas bar, is out of both Ultra and Modelo? And even after asking for a cranberry and vodka, they were out of cranberry! After requesting the tender, we were told it was a slow season, and the casio was either out or running out of many options. BAD MANAGEMENT! We settled for priced water and hit the road--later, Dude.

Yelp
Pretty decent station casino. The smell of nicotine isn't overpowering. Lots of casino games and great people watching. If you're lucky you'll see love mermaid swimming with fishes near the mermaid bar. There's also a gelato station near the gift shop. There's a large Bass Pro shop connected to the casino which is a great spot to look around. A lawn is situated right out front of the entrance with seating and fire pits scattered around.

Yelp
Best kept secret for a Las Vegas casino off the strip! I was impressed by the rooms which I don't have pics unfortunately. We had a cowboy themed room with comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Clean hotel which is connected to bass pro shop. I enjoyed the pool more than anything which was remodeled three months before we stayed. Big screen at the pool, music playing by the pool, Palm trees all over, cabanas, huge bar with seating and my favorite lounge chairs in the pool! I usually take pictures but I enjoyed myself just relaxing on Father's Day weekend.

Yelp
Pleasant locals casino south of the Strip. The place has a nice feel to it. It's a warm and welcoming environment, creatively decorated. They have some good restaurants to choose from a decent steakhouse, coffee shop restaurant, and several fast casual selections. I have not stayed at the hotel, so I can't speak to that aspect, just dined at a few of the restaurants and played some in the casino, of which I had no luck whatsoever.

Yelp
This casino and hotel is located off the Las Vegas strip near the airport. It has plenty of free parking and is easy to come and go. We like this casino because your players points don't expire. We were invited to stay at the hotel because they we're celebrating a grand reopening after a major renovation. The rooms, furnishings, and decor are really nice! Our room was a modern western theme. Everyone at this property is so friendly and the service here is a amazing. The one odd thing is that there is a lounge area with a huge mermaid tank in it. There are all kinds of fish and sometimes a live mermaid swims in it! We were with my eight year old nephew who would have loved to see the mermaid, but kids aren't allowed in the Mermaid Lounge. I'm not sure why because the mermaid is not adults only and they serve food in the lounge. That was the one disappointment during our stay. Gambling wise I did win a game of video poker. We'll be back the next time we're in Vegas.

Yelp
It's our go to casino, it's close to us. The mermaid show and Bass Pro are cool attractions in Silverton. One thing, it's always cold! Lol. The restaurants inside are good. From Chinese, Mexican, Sushi, Steak house, Starbucks, Johnny Rockets and a cafe. No complain on the food. They provide fresh as it gets.

Yelp
Super frustrating experience. I heard about this new concept called Airstream Bowling. It seemed private and intimate, and perfect for a young family to enjoy some bowling without worrying about bothering fellow bowlers. So I reached out via email because I couldn't find any details about it. They emailed me back with a few details so I made a plan. I live 30 minutes from the Silverton Casino. I drove down with my wife and kids. They refuse to allow us in because it is for 21+ as they have a bar inside. I would have spent $1,000 to cover all potential drinks just to have the experience since I went all the way there and the email did not mention 21+. Terrible customer service. They could have not only avoided this situation with better communication, but they probably could have maid more money in just allowing us to use it and pay and tip them for going out of their way. I would have then promoted this.l and given a great review. Instead they deserve a terrible review.
google avatar

Edenielle A.

Yelp
This was a wonderful stop for us! We came through the pro bass shop and right when you walk in You are greeted with a mermaid swimming! How cool is that! We played some games and some slots but what really made me give this place 5 stars was the staff. Everyone we ran into was just so nice and very personable! One of the game hosts, Kim, was so fun and funny! It was very hard to leave her table. You just wanted to just chill and hangout with her. Her boss was cool too and everyone else. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you are in the area!

Yelp
What saved this resort was The Swimming Hole pool experience. Lexie (hostess), Douglas (host extraordinaire), and Kenny (bartender) saved our entire stay. After back to back TERRIBLE restaurant experiences we were ready to check out. We had already reserved a Day Bed by the pool, so we reluctantly decided to stay. This team saved it!! We won't be dining at any of the restaurants any time soon, but we would come again for the beautiful outdoors

Yelp
Wow, last night was amazing! We went to this incredible concert at the Silverton, featuring the tribute bands Petty Party and Journey USA. Let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! The entire theater was packed to the brim, and both tribute bands were absolutely phenomenal. We had such a fantastic time, it was truly unforgettable!

Yelp
All the pool staff were great, friendly and helpful, food and drinks were great too! This was our last place to stay as we move from Las Vegas!

Yelp
Today I am reviewing silverton casino sport's book. It is definitely on the smaller side compared to other sport book in the Las Vegas area. Has three rows of seats with the first row being for reserved guests. The seating area for the most part is pretty comfortable, but not plush at all. Some of the seats are kind of worn down, with very loose back rest so it feels like you might fall back if you lean back. With a bit of hunting you can find a decent backrest. The seating section has individual tv monitors in each seat but I don't believe they work never seen them on. There are 9 tv monitors on the wall 3 being huge 6 being on the smaller size. There seldomly is a huge crowd so it is nice in that way you can mostly find a seat all the time.

Yelp
Just stayed in the same room last week and it was perfect! They obviously adjusted the water temperature... zero complaints and staff are always amazing. I'll be back next month

Yelp
The staff was amazing. They weren't rude: they welcomed you and went above and above. The pool is relaxing. Small but relaxing.

Yelp
I'm seldom in the mood to gamble, but when I am I enjoy stopping by the Silverton casino to play a little bit of blackjack, enjoy a nice cigar and have a drink or two at the mermaid restaurant and lounge. Which is located next to the aquarium. I've owned a rather large fish tank aquarium for quite some time. So I find it very pleasant, relaxing and almost therapeutic when staring at all of the aquatic life, swim around so effortlessly and gracefully in their huge aquarium. My favorite of course are the stingrays. It's really enjoyable for adults and kids alike. They have a sitting area located right in front of the aquarium. So you can take a load off & enjoy the fish for as long as you like. I also love doing a bit of shopping at bass pro shop. Which is also located next to the aquarium.

Yelp
This newly renovated Lodge and Casino is quite the "hidden gem". I don't know how anyone could give a negative review! The restaurants are awesome, the staff is great, the Casino Hosts are generous. The Casino is clean and so are the restrooms! The Front Desk staff are always helpful!!!!
google avatar

J E.

Yelp
The rooms are so clean. The new pool is so fun, it's not a big Vegas hotel keep this in mind, it's smaller but has everything you need without the crowds and stress of the strip. Food is good. It's worth the stay and you get good deal on room rates during the week, and the beds?!! My goodness the beds are amazing!!
google avatar

Yelp
First time staying here. Travelled with kids and it was a great decision. Kids love the aquarium and the mermaid show. So convenient to have restaurants on site. Plus starbucks!!! They have great slot selections and a good group of tables as well. Their service was amazing, from hotel staff to bartenders. Will definitely use them again for vegas trips.
google avatar

Yelp
It's over 100 degrees outside and it's hotter in this place than outside! Turn the air conditioning up you can afford it!! It's freezing everywhere else.

Yelp
MERMAID SCHOOL is an outstanding experience offered by the Casino. Prospective mermaids meet on their scheduled day at 8:30 to enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the Aquarium. They then don wetsuits and mermaid tails and are schooled in the art of mermaid swimming. They swim with the fish in the giant aquarium and spectators can see below. The instructors are super patient with hesitancy and gage each swimmer's abilities and bravery. They have have about 20 minutes of free swim time after instruction in the tank. 3 swimmers at a time with two instructors provided great safety. Students received a framed certificate of completion and coupons for a free gelato. Outstanding experience.

Yelp
I've been coming to this location since it was Boom Town. Now that it's Silverton, things just keep going down hill. They just did a $40 million dollar renovation for a pool nobody will see till next year, rooms that were long over due, new carpet and new machines. The steakhouse is great and the sushi is fantastic. As far as gambling goes, FORGET IT!! I've never played so much money and not win or break even anymore. Every machine I tried, losing tons of money, hit a bonus and it's a joke!! Pays nothing Go to the ATM, there's a line! That should tell you right there that everyone is trying to get their damn money back. They don't open more tables when games start filling up. NO MORE BUFFET, like what is there to go there for? Just to get in from Blue Diamond is horrible! They made a "Buffalo room" it's DEAD!!! Nobody winning $Hit! I visit a lot of properties and this place is dying. They need to start letting people make some money or create something people will go there for. Hardly as busy as it was 2 years ago. The stars are for the great employees and the restaurants I mentioned. Want to Gamble, go somewhere else!

Yelp
Sundance Grill has HORRIBLE Service. Always Understaffed. Sat for 15 minutes with not even an acknowledgment from staff. One time we were told me could not sit at the counter as they were understaffed. We tried multiple times and always the same. NEVER AGAIN.

Yelp
I had a fantastic day at the Silverton casino. We celebrated my nieces ninth birthday in our suite I felt really welcomed and heard and understood by the staff specifically Taylor at the front desk. She upgraded us to the last available suite when over the phone they stated that nothing was available made. As a queer person, Taylor me feel so welcomed, and my mom was late for her bowling competition atSouthpoint bowling and she did everything she could to make sure our check-in was seamless and we had everything that we needed. Taylor is an amazing guest services and representative of the company really enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved the mermaid and the proximity to bass pro shop made it all the more great.

Yelp
Enjoying the remodel since our last stay. Everyone was attentive & greeted us from front desk to Bass Pro Shop Great Starbucks coffee in the room

Yelp
It's one of those things that happen when you go to Vegas on a whim with (sorta) no solid plans at all. Came through to visit cuzzos "just because" and for whatever reason, we ended up here. One of them said, "Welp... might as well put in a bet on the Dodgers..." It was supposed to be a quick in and out stop, but we ended up spending more time than we originally intended because they had those really quirky slot machines. I decided to lose a 20 on one of 'em while waiting for him to place his bet and ended up wining 3x that. Albeit the short stop, it was a good one. Winning is... well... WINNING! Also, cuzzo won that Dodger bet. So despite the very short and quick stop, we will always welcome that W! The simple pleasures of life... might stay longer next time even if to check out mermaids (hopefully it's still there whenever that next time is!) And here's hoping we get as lucky (if not luckier) next stop!
