We’ve ordered several custom birthday cakes through them, and each one has turned out beautifully—both in design and in flavor. I only have a photo of one of the cakes, but the consistency and quality across all of them has been phenomenal. The team here is incredibly friendly, patient, and easy to work with. Got a strawberry and chocolate ice cream cake here. It looked so pretty and the kids really loved it. The owner was super nice too. Definitely recommend it!!

We loved our wedding cakes from Simple Delights! We had two wedding events that were very different, so we ordered two cakes of different flavors and styles. Jessica is super talented - she ran with our visions and totally exceeded our expectations. The cakes were both so beautiful and tasted amazing. We have indulged in this delightful little shops sweet dishes several times and it has never disappointed. Usually it’s cupcakes for my children and they love the fluffy and sprinkled cream and moist and tasty base. Besides cupcakes, they also have larger cakes (some custom made), yummy parfaits, gelatos, frozen yogurts and unique flavors of ice cream. There is a nice, clean and well lit sitting area to enjoy your sweets and lots of parking to conveniently park your car.

Such an adorable dessert place! Shared a banana split and the portion was gigantic. You’re allowed to choose your ice cream flavours for the banana split which was a nice surprise!

My husband wanted an ice cream cake for his birthday, and I wanted something that wasn't Baskin Robbins. I found Simple Delights via Google and placed my order for an eight-inch cookies and cream ice cream cake for delivery. I chose Simple Delights because they were open and delivered on a Sunday! The whole process was quick and easy. I also ordered a funfetti cookie, a slice of red velvet and pistachio ice cream cake, and furikake snack mix. My order arrived 10 minutes before my 3 p.m. delivery window. Everything was fantastic! The ice cream super good and the cakes were moist. 10/10 I think I've found my new sweet treat spot!

Thank you Simple Delights for my wedding cake!! I was a little worried since I never tried their cakes before but my wedding cake came out perfect! Not only was it beautiful but it also tasted amazing. I got the ube flavor with vanilla buttercream based on their recommendation and it was delicious and not too sweet. I actually didn't even need a cake topper since the cake turned out so nice!

We were lucky enough to have a strawberry ice cream cake from simple delights. My brother-in-law always tries to find places that we haven't gone to. I didn't go to the restaurant so I can't speak to the service or the ambience, but I can't speak to the quality of the cake. It tasted so good. The strawberry ice cream tasted like it was freshly made using fresh strawberries. The cake was the perfect compliment to the ice cream, nice and soft. I would just say that I would like more cake. I felt like the amount of ice cream was huge compared to the amount of cake and I also felt like there wasn't enough frosting, but I still absolutely loved it and highly recommended. I would like to try another of their cakes.

I ordered a small birthday cake from Simple Delights this weekend and I am very impressed. Ordering online through their website for next-day pick up was a breeze. Couldn't have been easier. Good communication with the email confirmation and text reminder when pick up time approached. The chocolate raspberry mousse cake itself was neat, elegant and extremely well executed. I am extremely impressed with their finishing - the mirror glaze was perfect, the raspberries were perfect and even the tiny mint leaves for garnish were perfect! The mousse was silky and the cake underneath was fudgy and divine. It was the perfect cake to cap off my brother's birthday dinner. Thank you, Simple Delights! I just tried this place and got a vanilla panna cotta with strawberries. It was tasty and it was $7.25 I did like it while I do think it could cost a little less and was a little pricey for me but it was still good.

Wonderful customer service!! Easy to communicate with as I live in Oregon and was able to plan a surprise 80th number cake for my dad's birthday. It was absolutely absolutely divine! We got the Ube with whipped chiffon frosting. I've never had more people come up to me and asked me. Where did you get this cake? It was absolutely delicious.

This is a nice little shop with desserts, and the service is decent. We got the Ube Cheesecake, Matcha Panna Cotta, Ube Butter Mochi, and Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream. The Ube Cheesecake tasted weird as hell and didn't taste at all like Ube. I definitely wouldn't get this awful tasting Cheesecake again. The Matcha Panna Cotta was okay. I could taste a little Matcha, but not a lot. It was nothing special and I have tasted better Panna Cotta. The Ube Butter Mochi was okay. It thankfully tasted better than the Cheesecake and had the right texture. This also tasted fine, but didn't taste like Ube at all. The best thing I tried there was the Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream. It had good flavor and actually tasted like Matcha Green Tea. Overall, most of the desserts were meh. If I am going to pay for the flavoring of these desserts, then I want them to actually taste like the flavor they say. So, I wouldn't recommend this place or come here again.

I came here today after to have a desert.I got the mini terimisu and let me tell you,it was delicious! I ate the dessert inside the dessert shop.I also got a diet coke . Service was good and simple delights is in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking

One of the highlights of our wedding day was the cake, and Simple Delights exceeded every expectation. We attended several tastings, sampling a variety of cakes and fillings, and loved them so much that we ended up selecting three different cake+filling combinations for our celebration. On the big day, they delivered a gorgeous two-tier wedding cake that perfectly matched our vision, down to the smallest detail. They also made a phenomenal carrot cake, which turned out to be the surprise hit of the night with our guests. Our experience with Simple Delights was so wonderful that my partner and I still visit them whenever we're craving a slice. We wholeheartedly recommend them for any custom cake needs--you won't be disappointed!

Amazing shop! We love all their cakes, especially the cheesecakes and the tiramisu. They have fun Asian flavors like ube, matcha etc. Great quality and not too sweet. I haven't tried any of their made to order cakes yet but they look beautiful and delicious.

Simple Delights is my go-to for cakes that are not overly sweet. They often have cakes available at the shop without advance reservation, and I have picked them up a few times when I forgot to prepare birthday cakes for my kids. Even without a reservation, they kindly add custom chocolate names and small touches, which I really appreciate. If you have time and better planning than me, I highly recommend ordering in advance. Their custom cakes are absolutely gorgeous.

My go-to cake shop! Ordering cakes is super easy on their online form and they call to confirm your order. They have all the desserts you could ever need, from cookies, ice cream, soft serve, to coffee and mochi cakes. Very friendly staff and a gem in the local community!

Jessica was great and easy to work with. We had several cakes at our tasting and decided on a two-tier cake for our wedding, the bottom tier being chocolate buttercream chocolate cake and chocolate ganache with the top-tier cream cheese icing vanilla cake and strawberry filling. We loved the cake and so did our guests. We thought we may not have any left over for our first anniversary! Simple Delights also delivered the cake to HMB which made our wedding day much easier! Highly recommend!

I ordered a premade chocolate mousse cake for a birthday as well as some chocolate chip cookies. Both were a hit and not overly sweet. The staff was very friendly and answered questions with the out hesitation. It's a cute shop that I need to return to so I can try out the I retesting ice cream flavors

My son's 4th birthday party was less than a week away when I finally got myself together to order a cake. I worked with Jessica and her team on a construction-themed birthday cake, and we were so excited to see what they came up with. I had seen other Yelp reviews with construction cakes so had a really good starting point. We wanted to have the cake share colors with the Pupstruction show so I shared the Pupstruction logo. Email communication plus a phone call was all Jessica and team needed for the cake. Jessica's team even purchased construction vehicles from Amazon - and within the relatively short timeline. We were really happy with how the cake turned out and (most importantly) so was our son. Success! We'll be back.

Needed a birthday cake with allergen-free ingredients in mind and it's a struggle to find a place that can not only accommodate such a request (gluten free, dairy free, soy free), but can do so without skipping a beat. Simple Delights is... simply delightful! The cake was amazing, and not in a "oh, this is good for gluten free" way, just on its own good! The filling and design, fantastic! The icing on the cake is that the icing on the cake is seriously delicious!

The ice cream cake is so good! I also tried their cheesecake and it was equally as amazing!

My husband bought a strawberry ice cream cake while it is basically Pound cake + ice cream filling . Bad quality & No bakery skills at all and it costs $95 . Be careful to buy.

Simple Delights - What a great find in the Laurelwood Shopping Center on W. Hillsdale Blvd off Hwy 92. This ice cream shop is perfect for an ice cream or frozen yogurt treat as well as many other options for desserts too displayed to catch your eye . You will be pleased with any choice you make. You can also eat it onsite, or to go, or even pick from pre-packed ice cream and frozen yogurt to go for indulging at home or order a custom cake for a special event. Chang, the owner, greated us with a smile and brought us our ice cream order to an available table which we had no problem devouring. Simple Delights is truly a gem! Highly recommend and we will be back!

Just had mango mousse cake. Wow! Perfect light dessert for summer. And what my friends & I also appreciated was it was not too sweet! Id be there so often if I lived nearby... but Im 100 miles away. So glad my friend brought us this special treat!

Two words: ube cake. Uh... sold? My cousin wanted a cake for her baby shower and I remember from doing a quick cake search for her gender reveal that Simple Delights was an option and well, I was put in charge of the cake so I did what I had to do. I stopped by Simple Delights to order a cake a week before I needed it and showed a photo of what I was expecting - green ombre. I received an invoice days later, paid, and just waited for the day to come. They open officially at 11am, but since my event was at 11am, they let me pick up the cake around 9am instead which helped a ton. The cake was a hit. It matched what I was thinking of for the cake and it received the highest praise possible from older Asian people - "it's not too sweet." Simple Delights nailed it and I need another excuse to order an ube cake.

Simple Delights helped us make our wedding cake and we couldn't be happier! Jessica was a pleasure to work with. She helped with all our questions and gave us good guidance on size of cake, which flavors for a tiered cake, etc. We went with a chocolate ganache w/ chocolate and marble cake (top tier), espresso buttercream w/ chocolate cake (bottom tier), and a red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting (sheet cake). What a delightful bakery! (Hehe) I ordered a simple cake for a small wedding party of 20 in Santa Clara & everyone loved it - including bride & groom (it was my gift). Then dropped by another time & had a cupcake for a snack. Can't go wrong with anything here as even custom orders are a perfect blend & balance of lite sweetness and texture. It was totally worth the drive from SF.

I ordered an ube cake with cream cheese frosting to thank a group of volunteers, and couldn't be happier with the result. The cascading flowers were piped beautifully. They looked like actual flowers, maybe even better. The cake came packaged securely in a box that was 2" larger on each side. I had no problems driving home with it going over a few speed bumps. Above all, the taste was amazing! Everyone commented on how light and airy the cake and frosting were...and a few of them normally didn't even like cake. I would highly recommend Simply Delight for customized cakes.

My whole family loved the cakes we got! Very friendly staff and I will 100% be back for more! My favorite was the pistachio red velvet but we also got the strawberry matcha. Both ice cream cakes and they were so good!! Great for short notice as they have ready made cakes available

Ordered a cake for my niece with her celebrity crush on it and was so amazing that I ordered another cake 3 weeks later for my mother as well! Jessica is so helpful and quick to respond! She's helped me with design ideas as well and the cake looked amazing and tasted so good!

The people are sweet, and the place is inviting. The food is, of course, excellent! I especially love love love their Butter Mochi Bars and their Ube Mochi Bars. They're just the right sweetness and moist, with just the right 'moch' in it. ;) Their cakes are delicious too. Whenever I serve their tiramisu at home, friends always ask where I got it, and then have ordered for their events like dinner parties, birthday parties, and book club meetings. I hope to try out their ice-cream cakes one of these days.

I needed a cake and I needed it for a birthday party 2 days later. This bakery was my saving grace. The online ordering form was very easy to fill out and the pre made ice cream cakes were available pretty much day of or next day. They even call and ask you if you would like a message written on the cake! Pickup was very smooth. And then the cake itself was super good!! Matcha ice cream was very creamy and the ube cake added a nice texture. Definitely recommend for any occasion.

UBE EVERYTHING! I got the ube cheesecake & ube crinkle cookie. Cheesecake was my favorite! Milky and smooth. It's petite and just the perfect size. I gave an ube crinkle cookie and ube mochi bar to a friend -- she loved the mochi bar! We both thought the cookies were okay, could be stronger in ubeness, but overall love this bakery of nailing the classics and ube-twists down. Also next to a Tesla supercharger btw.

Simple Delights was so great for my Daughter's birthday! I ordered an assortment of individual cakes...Ultra Chocolate, Berry Cheesecake and Chocolate Crinkle Cookies! They were a huge hit at her work where they were delivered right on time. So good. Thank You Simple Delights!

I was able to place a same day cake order (all done online) and pick up around 5 PM. There are a few options but I chose the strawberry shortcake. It's a good blend of sweet which is cut by the tart fresh strawberries. The cream was a little thick for me but still a very good flavor. If you have time to pre order they have many combinations and even ice cream cake options! I'll definitely be coming back to check out their cookies, ice cream and other treats!

I wanted a special cake for my mother's 90th birthday, and Jessica hit it out of the park! A vanilla chiffon with whip cream and strawberries - light, fresh and not too sweet, the cake was perfect and gone quickly! I will definitely order another cake from Simple Delights, and I suggest you do too!

Everything is absolutely amazing...from their service to their cakes, ice cream to espresso! Prices are as expected for what you're getting. It's wonderfully clean with nice seating inside. It's a must visit!

Chef Jessica and Chang were so helpful in planning our wedding cake. We went with a two-tier (4in and 6in) cake and opted to drop off artificial florals to decorate on top a few days prior, though they also offered to source them for a fee. I sent them my inspo and they were open to all my questions via email, including redoing the invoice to include delivery when I realized pickup and cake storage was not feasible for my family on wedding day. Delivery was $15 to Avenida Restaurant in Downtown San Mateo. They also added a fondant circle on top so we could add our own cake topper. Thank you so much, we'll be back on our anniversary!

Ordered a wedding cake for a vow renewal celebration and Jessica and her team were fabulous. Helping bring our inspo to real life and offered so many options of flavors. My family and I did a tasting with 5 mini cakes which then were discounted into the order of the cake. We went with a three tier cake. Two tiers were ube with vanilla butter cream and one tier was chocolate with salted caramel. The cake was beautiful and moist and the butter cream is the best one I have ever had. I wanted something small and simple for a birthday celebration where there would only be two of us. It wasn't too sweet (which made it perfect) and they were very communicative to make sure it turned out the way I wanted.
