"Locals and fisherman flock to Simple Eats for all-day brunch service. Opt for the plentiful Shipwreck platter (scrambled farm eggs, sausage, peppers, home fries) or North Carolina blackened shrimp and stone-ground Virginia grits loaded with Edwards sausage and bacon. Playful drinks include mimosa (or sorbet) flights and a caprese-flavored bloody mary." - Tierney Plumb, Adele Chapin

My wife and I booked Simple Eats for our rehearsal dinner. Everything about the experience was excellent! It was really easy to get everything set up by communicating with the owner by email, the price was more than fair, and the food was excellent! Multiple of our guests complimented the food and loved the cute decor. Service was very good. Couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Google
First time here. Decided to try them out based on Google reviews. We had reservations for 1200 but they were very accommodating for a party of 10 and get us in an hour early. Service was great. Food was truly delicious. Very fresh and tasty. Their omelets were amazing. We will definitely be back. Biscuits are some of the best I had in awhile.

My wife and I came here for lunch, and we sat at the bar. The bartender who was working at the time was super friendly, helpful, and fast. The food was great, I had something called the shipwreck, which was absolutely delicious, and my wife's flatbread looked amazing. They had some really interesting sounding cocktails as well! We'll definitely be back soon!

Google
This place was better than expected. Really really good food. The server was a young man whose twin was also working as a server. 😂He did a fantastic job and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Would 100% come back here again.

Service was excellent and the food was very well prepared. Great place.

Google
The food was really good, cute interior. We sat outside which was nice. We ordered the warm goat cheese appetizer, the berries were a little tart but probably out of season. The avacado toast looked amazing and the turkey blt was good. I ordered the Ham Burrata and ate EVERY bite. The waitress was nice and semi attentive for closing time. Thanks Simple Eats!

Google
This place has a great vibe to it. Beach themed with a lot of vintage artwork. The drinks were really amazing. Plus there’s a variety of options available. The Bourbon and the Bee is a must try! The food was good too.

Yelp
Seriously delicious super fresh food. You can tell there was love and care put into our meals. Totally farm fresh veggies, and sounds weird best best Tomatoes I ever had. The Ruben was amazing and turkey was too. I wish this places was 600 miles closer to our home :(... Cute atmosphere, and boho type little deck. Amazing staff and great vibe overall.

Yelp
You can not go wrong here. One of our favorite local spots! The coastal-beach y decor is welcoming and the service is like have a meal at your friends house. They are all so very nice. Everything on the menu is delicious just hard to decide so you will just have to return. One time, I thought there was an error on my bill and I send a message after hours on their Facebook page. To my surprise, the owner messaged me back right away and cleared up my misunderstanding! She was so nice and I was impressed with her quick response and customer service.

Yelp
Been here three times already and quickly understood why this place is a local favorite! I am a huge fan of the Mongolian Stir Fried Noodles and B1 & B2 noodle soups. Every friend and family member I've introduced to this place has loved it too. Very cool to watch the kitchen staff handle the noodle dough. Today's service I am deducting one star Service the first two times was perfect, but today something that occurred between us and our server surprised me and my bf's family. There was a small miscommunication between ordering the A13 and A14 apps- we wanted the cucumber salad but our server thought we wanted the cold sliced beef. Our server took back the cold sliced beef and as she was bringing it back, we over heard her say "They definitely ordered the A14, not A13" to another server, who then said "Yea I was there, I totally heard that too." This was said loud enough for our table, seated in the far back corner of the restaurant, to over hear and probably every customer dining in as well. That particular server never came back to serve us and instead we had 2 other servers going back and forth between our table and the kitchen, who were both great. This experience was incredibly unfortunate, as I work in the food industry and have handled similar situations like this. I was unimpressed by how those two servers were speaking about our party and it affected our ability to enjoy our meal without feeling like we were being watched by the staff. No one in our party was rude to our server , but speaking loudly about your customers basically in front of them is impolite and rude.

Yelp
I never give bad reviews. But I had the worst experience today at Simple Eats. 40 minute wait to be seated. And another 20 minute wait for a waitress after being seated. Then another 30 minute wait for the very mediocre sandwiches. After eating, we were basically there for 2 hours...most of it waiting. No communication at all from the hostess or waitress about the extreme delays. No apologies or explanation. So when I asked her why everything took soooooo long, she said they were just slammed. Well when we got there, there were three customers ahead of us. They weren't slammed. I have a lot of compassion. But when the hostess and the wait staff have an attitude of indifference and really don't care the experience they are giving their customers.... I'm not coming back. Way back in the day, I waited a lot of tables. I always did my best and worked my booty off. Different generation. I'm not digging it. So disappointed.

Yelp
Just go!!! You won't be disappointed!! Everything is perfect. They even redid their parking lot which used to be really terrible

Stephanie L.

Yelp
My friend and I love Simple Eats! The food was so delicious and the service was attentive and accommodating. Our server, Nicole , made it an exceptional experience! I had the avocado toast with a side of grits and my friend had the crab benedict. We both ordered a mimosa flight which was a fabulous and tasty pairing with our brunch. The walls display the work of local artists that can be purchased. My friend found a lovely wall hanging that she just had to have! She went home with her belly happy and with a new piece of art.

Elanteyz H.

Yelp
We sat for atleast 40 minutes a table showed up after us and got served first you would think he would get the kids food out first but no and not to mention ordered a smoothie and never got it just horrible service all around and it was only 2 tables when we got here

Shreya P.

Yelp
Excellent crab benedict and ambiance! Always love the food here and their xmas gift card specials are the best. Will be back!!!

Yelp
I was here on a Sunday morning at 9:30. We did make reservations because I called to see about bringing a dog. They do have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Whoever answered the phone answered my questions, took my reservation and was very friendly. I showed up first and sat outside. They have a nice sun shade to cover the area which helped a lot! The flies were terrible but you eat outside then you expect flies. I wish they had those fly fans that I see at a lot of restaurants. They seem to work and it's just nice to know that they are doing something about the flies. There is a parking lot but it fills up quickly and can be rather tight because there are no lines and some people don't park that well. We had great service by Ava and she was very attentive. We all got the mimosa flight which was awesome!! They were all different - I love that! Plenty of champagne and they were so good. I ordered the Turkey and Brie and Apple Press. It was delicious but maybe a bit dry. Everyone loved their meals. I wish I had more to say about the interior but because I was with a dog I just stayed outside. But I would definitely go back - not a regular brunch spot because it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and it was very good.

Daniel C.

Yelp
The food was good. However I did have an issue with the Bloody Mary, I have had many in my life and this one was too thick and was missing items stated on the menu. Another in our party had orders a drink and a starter waiting on the full party, and it took 45 minutes to even get the items, her husband had to go in get it and bring it out. The atmosphere was pleasant and fun. But I hear that they have a lot of issues with service and Oder mistakes along with wait times on orders, overall not too bad for our first time there.

Nick W.

Yelp
I had a pretty decent time at Simple Eats today. The people working here were really nice to talk to and made sure I had enough water during my time there. I want to say the ambiance seemed very dark and gloomy. I personally feel like it would have been a much more enjoyable experience if there was more lighting. For the food, It felt like it took forever for my food to come. They just opened up, and there were not that many people. I should have got it a little sooner. Overall, the food was pretty good, and the menu there makes me want to come back another time. I got a turkey sandwich, and it was alright. They did have some really good home fries that came it. If the ambiance of a restaurant does not matter to you, I would recommend this place if you want to try somewhere new to eat.

Tonia M.

Yelp
Hey Folks this place is a hidden gem... food was good, drinks were sting and service was great- once it got started - we had a party of 20 so they may have been waiting for more of us to get there... but my table was full and we were hungry... but once they got started they were rolling... menu was simple as name suggest - I'm allergic to shell fish so the choices for me were minimal- but apparently the crab cake was good. The place was eclectic- the painted chairs could use a good scrub but other than that nice vibe good ambiance. Photos on the walls may have been for sell but no one mentioned it. Oh parking was terrible go early you will have to wait if you are like me and have bad knees... all in all I would go back for the drinks and atmosphere

Steve W.

Yelp
Went for Sunday Blunch, everything was great. We had the Shrimp & Grits, Breakfast Burrito, Crab Bennie and French toast. Additionally had a flight of mimosas and a Crabby Bloody Mary. Crabby Bloody Mary has some Old Bay on the rim and crab meat in the drink. Would recommend all. Recommend a reservation during prime times. Atmosphere is very casual. Wouldn't recommend the biscuits, a little dense.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Service is always so wonderful - very accommodating and atmosphere is overall welcoming. You get the "farm to table" feel from the staff to the local art... love!

Yelp
Three of us, all adults, visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, around 1:30 pm. We called first to see if there was a wait (there wasn't), and there were a few parking slots open in their back lot. There was a musician performing in the outdoor area, but we decided to eat inside as it would be easier to carry on a conversation. We were seated quickly, and the waitress came by soon after to take our drinks order. Food. (4/5). My husband ordered one of the Brunch Specials, specifically the Gorgonzola Dolce Burger ($20) -- which was served on a brioche bun, with Gorgonzola dolce, smokehouse bacon, lettuce, and tomato. He selected home fries as his side. He also got a local ($7) Coffee Stout beer. I ordered The Schmidty sandwich ($14), which consisted of roasted Turkey breast, smokehouse bacon, a sliver of cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and aioli, served on a French roll. (8 grain bread also available). Sandwiches are served with your choice of home fries, mixed greens, or seasonal vegetable. I, too, chose the home fries. As is our tendency, we split our main entrees, so we each ate half of each burger and sandwich. In both cases, the food tasted fresh, was beautifully presented, and tasted good. We both particularly liked the aioli sauce, which we ended up putting on both the burger and the Turkey sandwich! We dropped our ratings down to '4' because the burger and home fries were both over-salted, and the Turkey was somewhat dry. Our friend (a Virginia Beach local) ordered a Crabby Patty, sandwich ($18), which was made from Chesapeake Bay crab, lettuce, tomato, and aioli on a brioche bun, accompanied by (purple cabbage) apple slaw and a wedge of lemon. She selected garlic green beans as her side dish. She also rated the dish as a '4', noting that it tasted good but that the crab patty was quite small. We also ordered a slice of apple pie ala mode to go, which we haven't tasted yet. (We really only wanted the pie but accepted the ice cream too as it would be the same price with or without the ice cream). Ambiance. (5/5). This is a welcoming restaurant with both inside and outdoor seating. The inside has an eclectic assortment of things going on -- but it works. Mismatched chairs, overhead lights with dangling seashells, Halloween decorations (pumpkins, witches hats), blackboards with drinks and dessert offerings (which we didn't notice until after we had placed our order), and more. Service (4/5). Efficient, and friendly, but nothing that would push it into the exceptional category. We would visit this restaurant again.

Yelp
I like this place. Simple Eats is exactly as the name on the front reads but I think it should read, Simple Good Eats. The food here is good, it's fresh, the service is fantastic, and visually, this joint is just a happy place. You get two choices of seating here....outside or in. Due to Covid, we chose outside. Be mindful, it's nothing to do with the restaurant but with the outside, you get the flies, and this time there was a lot of them. Our server was awesome. Super polite, and very attentive. We ordered the cheese board, and for the price, we got more cheese then I could even handle. I would order that board again when I take friends/family there. It's a good amount to munch on. I also ordered the Crab Benedict, or what they call, the Crab Benny. I thought it was good. A sizeable portion at a great price. Overall, I would eat here again. It's a colorful, just happy place. Well done.

Yelp
I like their farm to table concept. We arrived around 10am and there were lots of empty tables, we were told we can sit wherever and chose a table in the back. the decor is quite rustic and fascinating. the service was great and the food was tasty. i gave 4 stars because I wanted to try their biscuits which i heard was excellent and they were out of it.

Patricia H.

Yelp
Always consistent awesome food in a lovely atmosphere Simple but delicious menu you can rely on with great service and good value for money

Yelp
Hubby and I wanted something healthy, farm to table'ish for our date night. Naturally, I searched for a restaurant in the area and it led us to Simple Eats. Everything looked great, however, the reviews I saw were not. We tossed a couple of other restaurants around but ultimately, we decided on Simple Eats. I am sooo happy we did. Evidently, a reservation is needed for a weekend, but somehow we were able to grab a table for two with no wait. The icing on top was that they had a very talented guitar player/singer perform throughout the night. I feel bad his name has escaped my memory but he was terrific. He played several known songs from James Taylor and other well-known musicians. Our server was super attentive and courteous. We started with their warm goat cheese with berries and honey. This was simply glorious. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Hubby decided on the farmhouse burger. This was beautifully presented on a wooden cutting board in keeping with its rustic vibe. I decided on the crabby patty. Don't let the name fool you, it's presentation was a work of art, with the aioli drizzled atop the crabcake with the tomato and lettuce. GREAT SERVICE. Wonderful entertainment. FANTASTIC FOOD. I'm not sure why other yelpers gave them less than 5 stars, but they are at the top of my list!

Sasha B.

Yelp
his order: sorbet mimosa flight (10/10) shrimps tacos (9.5/10) -- we felt like the corn tortillas should've been doubled, they feel apart pretty easily. shared app: oysters (5/10) -- they were pretty warm and there were no real condiments for the oysters like there normally would be. my order: mimosa flight (10/10) fish tacos (9.5/10) overall experience: 9/10 i have been to simple eats a few times and the wait staff has been pretty friendly. today, we decided to eat inside because of the rain the night before. we were greeted and sat in the corner in which i requested we sit closer to the door, the hostess didn't seem pleased to be seating us elsewhere and you could definitely tell by her body language and facial expression. other than that our waitress nicole was amazing + kind!

Charles J.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Great food and awesome customer service. This place is so definitely on my top list of places to Go. Jeramy and Sandy are the best. Last Chef Berry is. Top knot chef love his cooking from Charles and Michelle

Yelp
I can't rave enough about this place! Came here with a party of 6 on a Saturday afternoon and there was a wait but thankfully it flew by the weather was great so we hung out in the outside area. I love how friendly and diverse the staff is. You will see people of all races and ages working together and they all had a light spirit about them which made our experience so great. Our food arrived fairly quickly considering how large our party was and the portions are HUGE! You will have to box some food home. I had the BELT which was delicious and I definitely had to cut into it to get a good bite! The star of the show was the mimosa flight. Our favorite was the sorbet, but with this option you'll get to try different flavors and trust me you'll want to! I will definitely be back and tell some friends.

Nicole F.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this!! Bruschetta was good. Probably much better in summer with summer tomatoes. The tomato soup was outstanding!! And grilled cheese, kids loved the grilled cheese. I had the pear beet spinach salad with crumbled goat cheese... delish! And hubby had the crab cake tostadas, also very tasty. Desserts were off the hook. Triple brownie add ice cream, cookie and carrot cake all worth coming back for.

Cj D.

Yelp
The service was wonderful. The staff was extremely attentive and the restaurant had a fantastic beach vibe. Food came out quickly even though it was busy and we were able to sit very quickly. Parking fills up fast just fyi. My recommendations are to try the sorbet flight and the cheesecake... both were delicious and the cheesecake was very light and airy

Connie X.

Yelp
I love the farm-to-table concept that Simple Eats embodies! The food was good, though nothing too too special that made this place stand out from other restaurants. Regardless, my friend and I received very attentive waitress service here! Though there was initially a little confusion with the menu, I ended up ordering a catch of the day (with mahi). The order also came with home fries and choice of veg (I picked zucchini). The fish was seared a good medium. I thought the side accompaniments were good, albeit a little salty. Portions were also very generous. Meanwhile, my friend ordered a burger on a cronut and thought it was delicious! Overall I thought Simple Eats was a decent restaurant for dinner.

Lynn S.

Yelp
Wonderful food for breakfast or brunch. I was drooling just looking at everyone's plates as we were served. Great portions and pretty good service. It is a great cafe feel and overall I highly recommend!

Sandi G.

Yelp
Delicious, locally sourced and interesting menu items. Great service! Cute decor from local artists.

Vyvy H.

Yelp
This review is during COVID stay-at-home orders. ** This is a local farm to table place right off shore drive. We live down the street but had never tried until a friend from work recommended. They graciously donate a huge lunch to my nursing unit at the hospital. It was soooo amazing my girlfriend and I just had to have it again. They are currently doing online, curbside pick up orders, and delivery orders! It was super easy and very quick; during lunch hours on a Friday we had our order ready in 10 mins!!! They were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. The food was literally even more amazing because it was so fresh and hot! We ordered the Schmitty sandwich in French Bread with home fries and the Quinoa Black Bean wrap with side of fruit. HOME FRIES are a must. I've never had home fries like this before! They were HUGE and soooo good. Hot and Perfectly seasoned, no need for any ketchup here! My schmitty sandwich was LOADED with fresh REAL turkey breast meat, thick cut of seasoned bacon, melted cheese, and drizzle of this amazing aioli. The quinoa wrap was nothing short of amazing, they give you a whole side of aioli to dip, huge cuts of avocado hidden in the wrap, nothing short of "TOTALLY WORTH" Can't wait until this pandemic is over, I'd love to enjoy another meal here!!

Yelp
The place is rustic but quaint, if you love the beach decorations this place comes loaded with it. It's is a delight to the eyes coz I love everything about the beach. But when you go inside and deeper to their back or inner part of the restaurant, the more you will see simple elegance put together. From the gorgeous chandeliers to the photos on the wall. Our waitress is so nice and quick to serve too. My cheese charcuterie is fabulous and taste so good. My Crab Cake Eggs Benedict is just fabulous. I could taste the crab, the egg, the arugula gracing on top put the taste together. I didn't even have to eat the bread which is my preference. The potatoes that came with it also was perfectly cooked. Not pale not burnt. Just perfect. Everything was just right. My young nephews that came with us sure enjoyed the food. They had selections for the kids too which is a good size already for a young one. Sitting arrangement was perfect. Social distancing is still on point. The pace can accommodate a large group and that's what I'm checking into. All in all, It is so nice to be relaxed while eating and enjoy food. The waitress was very calm with the kids. All the food that the kids ordered was given a thumbs up. They love it. It rained that day and the parking lot was a bit muddy as expected but not flooded. I will surely come back and hopefully I can bring my grown kids too. Such a delightful place to be. It fed my artistic side too with their beautiful collections of artwork on the wall.

Margarita H.

Yelp
Amazing eclectic farm to table restaurant. Everything is super fresh and tasty. Support your local businesses! Definitely worth a visit. One of the best kept secrets for locals in the area. Their cheese platter is to die for. Hamburgers out of this world... grass fed beef. Everything on the menu is delicious. Service is wonderful. Excellent place for brunch or early dinner! Very highly recommend

Samantha R.

Yelp
Love this place! I've been a few times with my girlfriends for brunch. Every time we order flights (they come in cute little wood carriers) and we typically try out their seasonal bites! The food here is always delicious and I've never tried something I didn't like. The place is actually mad cute inside and the tables in the back are these cool big circular tables... awesome for bigger groups. If you're looking for a brunch spot on Shore Drive, highly recommend Simple Eats.

Patricia D.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic!! Well worth any wait you may encounter! So delicious!! Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was ridiculously good! Enjoy!

Matt D.

Yelp
I saw this place on yelp a few weeks ago and came here on a whim after morning Mass. Also, the Navy Exchange was still closed (it was 0830), and remember this place was close to base. The staff was so nice from the get-go. Warm smiles on this early Sunday morning. I started with a coffee w/ milk which was served in a neat cup. Second, I tried their cinnamon toast shot! It was so good that I sipped it for the rest of the meal! The vegan butternut squash was a great appetizer. I thought I'd miss the heavy cream, but cheers to the chef for still getting a creamy and savory flavor! The toast on the side had a very subtle sweet flavor; a nice compliment to the soup. For the entree, I ordered their ham, swiss chard omelette with toast and potatoes. It's such an American breakfast. The sourdough bread toast was so good! The swiss chard gave a nice texture and flavor to the familiar ham omelette. Lastly, I love the decor and ambience. Bob Marley's "Don't worry 'bout a thing" in the background was so appropriate. You fee like your in a sleepy beach escape. I also loved all the wall pieces from local artists. Thank you Simple Eats for a great morning!

P D.

Yelp
Met with a small group for breakfast. Menu had some nice choices, also some daily specials, service was okay and prices reasonable. I had the 'Buttermilk Pancakes / Bananas or Seasonal Fruit Bacon or Edward's Sausage Link 11 '. The fruit shouldn't even have been mentioned, it was no more than a garnish!!! The pancakes where HUGE and I had 2 slices of crispy bacon with them, BUT there were ONLY 2 small (less than an inch) strawberry slices and 3 blueberries on top.!! I was expecting at least a small side dish! And just to mention, on a personal note, the chairs are bare metal and very uncomfortable!

Georgia J.

Yelp
Great food and cocktails! Everything is fresh and flavorful. Dinner is better than brunch, the portion sizes for brunch weren't huge!

Maeve P.

Yelp
This cute little farm to table restaurant was exactly what we wanted for a fun date night. Little did we know that they sometimes have live music, but that was the first thing we noticed when we came in the door. Luckily we were seated around the corner so it wasn't too loud and we could hear the band just fine. We both ordered delicious cocktails, made with local spirits, and our entrees were great as well. I had the Burrata sandwich, which I can best describe as bruschetta in sandwich form with a whole bunch of fresh, soft cheese; it was wonderfully fresh and bright tasting, and not too heavy either. The service was excellent, and the price point was about what we expected for the quality (not too expensive, I'd say mid-range). The decor inside is very eclectic but makes you feel at home. Overall, I would definitely go back for another bite!

Haley L.

Yelp
Great experience. Thank you to the bartender for making the pineapple margarita! Their biscuits are amazing, to me they had a subtle cornbread taste which I LOVED. The glaze/sauce they have on one of the cheeses is phenomenal.

Lauren T.

Yelp
Service was great. We were seated immediately to our preference-outside. the atmosphere was great. food was delicious. came out quick and fresh.

Alexis H.

Yelp
Really cute restaurant with a welcoming feel. I've had lunch & breakfast there and they've both been good! They don't take reservations but take out is easy if you call them. I definitely recommend for a brunch

Bernard D.

Yelp
Simple Eats is the eccentric restaurant your cool uncle and artistic aunt would design if they were both culinary experts. This place is all about attention to detail (water in mason jars, platings, drink garnishes), creativity (the atmosphere), and exceptional food. Don't let the modest exterior fool you, Simple Eats rocks. We ate here twice, two days in a row while on a family vacation. First, we had dinner outside on a Wed night with live music. My wife had the chicken flatbread (outstanding), I had the Crabby Benny (fantastic) and my kids had the breakfast waffles (HUGE, tasty, perfect). My wife had a sangria (very good) and I had a strawberry basil margarita (excellent). The margarita was garnished well (reminded me of Alice In Wonderland). The margarita is made like I like them (flavorful, and with a kick). Simple Eats is not afraid of a strong, balanced pour (not for the feint of heart). On our second visit we had breakfast. Again, exceptional. The star of the show was the breakfast burrito. Mind blown . So good. We also had the garden omelette (very good), french toast (excellent) and acai bowls (healthy and a unique take on acai bowls with large coconut chips and generous quantity of honey). We also had the "cinnamon shot" with rumchata (don't drink at breakfast usually! But had to try it). Tasty, with a kick. Conclusion. If you're local, you probably already know how great Simple Eats is, and if you're on vacation, make Simple Eats your #1"must eat (and drink) here" destination.

Yelp
The food is good but service terrible. Went in with my friend to pick up an order to go. The woman that rang her up with the order said immediately to my friend that this would cause them all their change and that they couldn't make any. Well that change was $20. My friend was taken aback by this but because we were in a hurry to meet some friends, my friend told that woman to keep it as TIP FOR THE CHEF. That woman said "oh! Well, that's great!" First of all, that tip was NOT for her as rude as she was. (This was for late July 2020) Pandemic aside, people should exercise manners regardless. As for me, I'll continue to support local businesses that respect their customers without the attitude of self-entitlement. At the end of the day, kindness goes a long way and can either make or (lack of kindness) break a business..

Daniel A.

Yelp
Service was good.Inside ambience, the building smelled musty, like rotting wood/mold, spores. I tried their version of a cheeseburger, which was extremely disappointing. The name is simple eats, BUT it was just simply LAZY . I'm sure ownership, as well as the cook knows , a six year old with an easy bake oven. Could've done a better job. when you charge a premium price for a simple cheeseburger you better bring your"A" game. from the beef to the cheese to the bun extremely disappointing.

Istmania B.

Yelp
I would definitely come back even with all the flies outside. We sat outdoors since we had our loyal pooch with us. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly from both staff and other patrons. We ordered a flight of mimosas to try and we loved all the flavors, and neither my husband nor I are mimosa fans. The food was layered with flavor and bountiful dishes. Dishes were made with fresh products. Everything was seasoned properly. I wish we could have had the space in us to try more dishes. We would definitely go again if we are in town and would highly recommend this hidden gem for both its service and good food.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Very chill place! The food was amazing and the service was great! The environment was very warm and inviting with vibes of love and friendliness! Definitely recommend the Crabby Bennie. My girls had the buttermilk pancakes that were very delicious and fluffy! We will be back!!

Yelp
Been to this establishment twice in 1 week, if that's not saying how much I enjoyed it I guess I can write an appreciation post. The first visit I had a cabby Bennie, the crab was full of flavor, and fresh. I really enjoyed the avocado and the huge slice of tomato! The dish was plated well and the beermosa was delicious Second visit was also amazing. I order the meatloaf with a side of squash and zucchini. Baby, when I tell you that meat loaf was bomb, I mean that meat loaf was seasoned perfectly. My veggies were cooked just right and had a nice crunch. This time I ordered a regular mimosa, which was pretty good too. I love the staff, they all were very polite and thoughtful. The place has super cute decorations and I love that its right by the beach. Definitely a great place.

Yelp
Second time here - went for a Sunday morning breakfast. I got the fresh Blackened Tuna Tostada cooked to Chef's recommendation. It was excellent. The others at the table had their go to breakfast burrito and both were stuffed! Another time at Simple Eats for dinner discovered the Bloody Mary flight. Wow. Was excellent (but I DO NOT recommend the tequila bloody mary). Highly recommend Simple Eats for GREAT local food. The 4 instead of 5 was due to the service both times left a bit to be desired (wait staff didn't visit the table very often for refilling drinks and checking in on us.) It wasn't terrible, I just expect a bit more face time.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Has such a casual relaxed vibe and the food is amazing. The one thing that I can't get behind though is the super bass that vibrates my soul in the early AM while I'm trying to enjoy my breakfast and conversation, club brekkie doesn't really work for me.

Yelp
My first time trying Simple Eats and it did not disappoint!! I started with the clear broth Hatteras Clam Chowder which was loaded with clams. I then had the reuben and I must say that the chef slices the meat ever so thin, which really was a nice touch. I opted for the mixed greens side which was lightly seasoned with a balsamic vinegar dressing. I ended my awesome experience with a chocolate chip cookie, which Jessica recommended that they serve heated. It came on a plate with a chocolate drizzle. Service was off the charts and everyone was amazingly friendly....

Yelp
My only major complaint with Simple Eats is that it is so dang far away from me! I loooooooove their decor. Hodge podge rustic farm design which is a photographer's dream. It's absolutely beautiful. I loved sitting there and just looking which ways and finding more and more things that intrigue me. I was also impressed with their food. Especially their apple pie a la mode! They get their ice cream from a local place and it was delicious and decadent. The crust for the apple pie was a baker's dream - so buttery and flaky! I had their bbq chicken flatbread and my husband got his steak and eggs. His food was very homey and the steak was cooked perfectly. The only disappointing thing was the home fries which I found bland. The servers also made you feel like you're a guest at their home. They were welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed that just walking to the restaurant from the parking lot we were already greeted by someone tending their flowers outside. It really set the mood!

Yelp
Driving past Simple Eats, you don't think much of it. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you've entered the perfect beach getaway. As soon as You walk in, there is an instant relaxing, at peace, home feeling. If you love fresh, healthy, and homemade food, simple eats is the spot! I had tremendous trouble deciding what to order because everything sounded fantastic. The crab bennie was phenomenal! They also have Bloody Mary and mimosa flights, which is so unique and brilliant! We all tried various mimosas, which were to die for!
