7 best mooncakes to try in Singapore 2018 - SilverKris

"This boutique patisserie handcrafts petite snowskin mooncakes using natural ingredients and a proprietary snowskin flour blend, producing creative flavour pairings in small, elegant portions. Examples include a Black Sesame Raspberry Truffle (fresh raspberries tint the snowskin and conceal a truffle centre), a Japanese Yuzu Truffle with low-sugar white lotus paste and white chocolate truffle, and a Butterfly Pea Gula Melaka made with low-sugar gula melaka lotus paste and a dark chocolate truffle filled with white chocolate coconut ganache. Prices start from $34." - Naomi Wan

The best Apple Cinnamon Almond tart! I have tried the Jap Yuzu chiffon and their seasonal mooncakes! Wish we will get to enjoy your bakes soon! All the best!

Ordered their gluten free chiffon cakes - uji matcha and yuzu (so delicious that I gobbled the yuzu one up and forgot take photo of it). They only use real ingredients and don't add nonsense like stabilizers and gums. But yet they taste so good even though they're gluten free! Will miss your cakes.. so please continue to bake when you're back!

Got an 8-inch pandan coconut chiffon cake for a team bonding session and the cake was well-received. The 2-layer chiffon was delightfully fluffy with a natural pandan flavour, and the cream exterior was pleasantly light and not too sweet. In fact, I personally thought it could also do with more cream. Glad to support small businesses!

This is my first time buying their cake and now i understand why their rating is so high. I ordered chocolate orange chiffon cake and the packaging is very presentable, ideal as a gift. I can even smell the fragrance of the cake before i open the box. Upon tasting the cake, I’m totally sold. The orange and chocolate taste is very distinct and fragrant, it even leaves a nice lingering aftertaste in the mouth. The texture of the chiffon cake is very soft and fluffy. The sweetness is also just nice, not too sweet, making it a guilt-free treat. I will be back soon to try their other cakes and pastries. Oh ya, their service is very good too!

Simple indulgence cakes and tarts taste really good. After eating one slice you will crave for another as it’s not so sweet. The presentation of their chiffon cakes and tarts look so beautifully enticing to want to eat it. The baker really put in great efforts and time in their presentation. If you are looking for gift, their cakes and tarts will be very suitable and presentable to buy as gift for any celebration or occasion. Another thing is that they do cake or tart delivery if you prefer not to collect from the shop at 62 Somme Road #01-02 Parc Somme. Highly recommended.

Repeated order! The whole family loves the pineapple tarts. I love the crust and the overall combination ratio was perfect. Their cashew nut cookies melt in your mouth and were not too sweet (couldn’t stop at one and too late to take any photos)! I hope you can create green pea cookies, kueh bangkit and many other traditional healthy goodies soon.

My first time getting pastries from this local based bakery. It is a pleasant encounter with Christine. I appreciate her warm introduction to the variety of baked goodies, and also her detailed sharing of vegetarian/vegan options as I’m a vegetarian (lacto-ovo). I’m also happy to receive my snowskin mooncakes in a nice cooler bag with ice gel pack. The taste of the mooncakes is fresh and light, making it perfect for the warm weather. The place is located within Parc Somme, which is rather convenient as it’s a short walk from City Square Mall/ Farrer Park MRT. Nice experience and hope that more people can discover this gem 😀
