I'm gonna start with the good things about this store because I don't want to sell them short: this store has a lot going for it.
It is small but has a nice, carefully-curated selection of good wines for a good price, in an area where you'll be extremely hard pressed to find a liquor store that doesn't have bulletproof glass between you and the bottles. Furthermore, the staff is lovely, knowledgeable, and makes excellent recommendations. Every time I've been there in person, I've felt like it is an absolute delight.
Just don't place deliveries with them. For a second time now, they've taken more than an hour and a half to get my order to me, and I live a mere 4 blocks away. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I've worked at a wine store before and I've done deliveries before, much further away than 4 blocks. It never takes even an hour. I don't know how busy they are on a Tuesday night, but to take 2 hours to deliver just two bottles of wine.
It's quite simple: either set correct expectations, fix your delivery woes, or don't offer the service if you can't handle it--there's nothing wrong with that! What IS wrong is that I could have walked the 15 minutes it would have taken me to get the wine myself, or I would have just bought beer at the corner rather than have my evening plans ruined by a false promise of a 30-minute delivery.
