We had a great time here! There are a handful of dishes for vegetarians. I got the ginger and tofu entree and the spring rolls as an appetizer. This place also sells a variety of Cambodian clothes, purses, and knick knacks.

Google
food is so good, tasteful but at the salty side but the service is superb so it's a great experience to eat in. However, it's a bit expensive lunch for 2 people

Google
we have been there for years! if it's 5 years ago I would give a 5 star but service, price and food quality have bit down...please keep the consistency because we really love your food!

Google
I love everything about this place. Simply Khmer has the best authentic Cambodian food in the area. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming. The service is quick and friendly and the food is fantastic. My go to is the chicken noodle soup with the spring rolls to start. I tried the lychee lemonade which was awesome sweet treat. I cannot wait to come back!

ERI

Google
I highly recommend their chicken wings! The most crispy chicken that I've ever had! Also I liked the Bai Loc Lac with fried rice.

Google
The server was really nice and took all of our orders. I really like all of the decor, and it makes the restaurant feel more home-y and comfortable. My only gripes concerning the atmosphere is that big sign at the entrance of the restaurant, and the seating is a bit iffy. Food is good, although the spring rolls were a little dry.

Google
Simply Khmer is simply amazing! Whenever we are in the area we come here and experience flavors we've never experienced before. The mix of sweet, sour, salty snd everything in between is in perfect balance. Everything we have tried here is amazing and makes me craving the dishes for weeks after. There is usually ample parking and there is no wait for a table. The atmosphere and staff are welcoming and family friendly but great for couples, groups and solo diners too.

Google
Everything about this place was great. The traditional decor, the smell of the food, the service, the food itself! I've had Cambodian food before but it's been years. First time having their traditional soup and it was so delicious. Ordered and app with wings and papaya salad. I honestly didn't like the salad but I can see why they do. It was just a little too cold and spicy for me. The wings were perfectly crisp and coated with sauce. The egg with fried and and beef was 😘.

Yelp
I have had spent part of my life growing up within the Khmer (Cambodian) community so I have had my fair share of Khmer food. Simply is a great restaurant to get introduced to the cuisine if you feel uncomfortable going to new places and trying new food. The menus are clear and accurate with descriptions. They also have a small gift/take away section. The food is top notch, extremely flavorful and consistent. The seating gives enough space between chairs but it can get loud at times but because everyone is having a decent time. The service is good, nothing bad always friendly. The prices are tad more expensive but I feel they have earned the right to charge what they charge (in a good way).

Yelp
Great food, generous portions. Very slow (and strange) service. We ordered fresh rolls (nothing special) that, arrived within 5 minutes. Then we ordered a coconut + pineapple + eggplant soup. After 1.5 hours within the order, I went to the staff and asked wat was going on and they replied 2 different answers that felt like lies. Oh well - it was still tasty, just not sure I can spare 2.5 hours next time I go lol

Yelp
We love this place! Such wonderful service and hospitality. The owner was so nice, space is wonderful. We love their addition of small business items. The food has an authentically Khmer taste. The lot cha has a nice char that reminds me of Cambodia. The soup was flavorful and the chicken- superb! Will try their sister restaurant in Chelmsford before we leave back to SF.

Yelp
We were so welcomed. The food was delicious, and we were helped in what to order. We chose wisely with the help of our waiter. It was a lovely, delicious experience!

Yelp
I specifically came to Lowell for the salam machu krueng dish. 10/10 would recommend this place and this dish. It's my favorite Cambodian dish and it always hits the spot. People typically want mi ka thung but I would eat this over that any day!

Yelp
Ok, I went there w my friend for her bday. The food was delicious. Specifically the beef on the stick the meat is so tender and me who very picky w meat, love this beef. I ordered lor na tofu it was delicious too. My friend had loc lac. Everything was delicious. Service is a bit slow idk if thats because not a busy dinner time or they just slow. We waited about 20 mins just for our Vietnamese spring roll. To be hinrst not as food as other foods. But i will be back again for sure

Yelp
I've been following their social media account for a few years with the intention to try it. As fate would have it I moved to Ma. It's a bit of a drive for me but I need my Asian, in this case Cambodian fix. I tried their Phnom Penh noodle (dry) and it's a lot different than what I'm use to. Usually it comes with seafood and pork, maybe there's miscommunication. There's no condiment on the table and had to ask for pickled chilies. Also I noticed the broth was really sweet. Just might be the taste here has I've had Cambodian food at several places here and it was sweet in general. I also picked up some chrouk Spey to take home. It was good but could have been more sour. If I lived closer I'd try more of their stuff but this will have to be once in a while

Yelp
I absolutely loved the wings here, super duper crispy and soooo flavorful. Honestly, this is a definite must have here, both the hot and sweet/savory one (forgot the name but that's the description haha) The beef skewers were also a hit as well, good flavor and very juicy. For me, the appetizer is where it's at, maybe I just didn't get good entrees, but personally the flavors were not good to me, but others loved it. And the papaya salad was good, get the spicy, the mild had no spice Definitely try this place, I'm going back again for sure!

Yelp
The food was so amazing that we came back twice during our vacation. It's so hard to find good Cambodian food, and this place really hits the mark. I was so bummed that they ran out of beef skewers during our first dinner here that I made sure to order them when we came back the second time. They are absolutely delicious, and definitely worth the wait. They also had the best som-law ma-ju I've ever had, it was spectacular. The soup was perfectly flavored with just the right amount of sourness, meanwhile the tripes were so well cooked and tender. Other standouts included the pork chop and the Loc Lac, both were well seasoned. The space is nice and airy with some cute merchandises in the front, including cookbooks and various items. The service was friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a must stop if you are ever in the area.

Yelp
I cannot express enough how fantastic this food is. My family and I usually order takeout, but decided a couple weeks ago to go after church and eat inside. We were greeted pleasantly, the food and service was amazing. Love this place!

Yelp
A bit pricey but the food is good with kind service, generous table spacing. Parking can be a bit tight.

Yelp
Had to make a quick stop at Simply Khmer for late lunch. We decided to share the appetizer sampler (comes with papaya salad, wings (add $2 for hot wings), and sticky rice. This only costed $19+tax! You get both their favorites, papaya salad and hot wings. I normally get my orders to go but this time we had the time to dine in. It tasted 10x better when it's fresh! The wings were so crispy and saucy. The papaya salad had the right kick of spice. I love having it with sticky rice. I always get sticky rice if it's available. When I'm Lowell, you guys HAVE to stop by Simply Khmer. It became the staple of Lowell. I'm sure there is other spots around Lowell with similar dishes. But for me, the wings are the best here.
google avatar

Yelp
Very slow today but they are trying hard. Give the guy a break. They will work out the kinks for sure.

Yelp
The food was outstanding. I ordered the som-law ma-ju kroeung and it was phenomenal. It tasted just like how my family use to make it. My wife and I ordered two dishes but we didn't realize how huge the portions were. The service was excellent. The server was organized and my wife and I were seated in a timely manner. It was packed due to the water festival but luckily we didn't have to wait that long. The restaurant was a decent size and decorated very beautifully. Just entering the restaurant made me felt like I was in Cambodia. My only issue was the parking situation but other than that I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
We've been meaning to try this place for a while and finally made it over and we're so glad we did. The service was great, restaurant was inviting and clean, and the food was good. We started with the papaya salad with spicy wings and sticky rice. Everything was tasty but the wings weren't really spicy. I think they could add dry chilies and fry this dry and it would be better than this wet sauce on it which is also sweet. You can't go wrong with avocado shakes so I'll just leave that there. The noodles soup special has a nice broth to it and I ordered the fried donut sticks to dip it. On a cold day nothing beats this aside from the rice porridge. The fried noodles was very tasty as well. We were given some of their housemade chili oil and fresh basil, lime, and bean sprouts to top off our noodles with which added a nice crunch and freshness. We enjoyed our meal very much and can't wait to try their other dishes.

Yelp
One of my favorite Cambodian restaurants in Lowell. Love their bo luc lac and spicy beef salad. My staff even drove all the way from Dorchester to Lowell to buy that spicy beef salad. I just got a jar of beautiful Salmon Pok, freshly made from Simply Khmer that I can't wait to dig into cooking it. Highly recommend them if you haven't tried, they got some very tasty authentic Cambodian dishes.

Yelp
We came with no expectations but left very satisfied!!! The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The thai ice tea had a strong tea flavor, just the way I like it. Dishes we enjoyed: -Angkor Wings: perfect kick and crunch. -Cha kroeung: my favorite dish of the night! The spicy ground chicken had great dynamic flavor and was so delicious. Make sure you add a side of white rice. -Lort cha: the pin noodle shape were a great bouncy texture. -Loc Lac: marinated steak tips were cooked well and the lemon pepper/salt sauce was perfect! -Kuy Tiew: soup is very flavorful, a bit like pho but sweeter. Dishes to skip: -Spring rolls: very little shrimp and not much else going on.

Yelp
We were in Lowell, MA to visit the national historic site here, so, of course, we had to get some Cambodian food afterwards to make the most of this excursion. We came here for an early dinner and the place was half full with a pretty random decor that feels oddly right. Service was hard to come by at first, and our initial waiter was not very polite, but then we get a new guy halfway through and he was pretty attentive. FYI, there's no alcohol on the menu. We did enjoy the food for the most part. The crispy egg rolls were indeed crispy and a nice start to the meal. The best dish by far was the Amok Trey, the national dish of Cambodia, which had this dynamite sauce that we were in love with. So perfect and light with the fish and veggies--unfortunately, it also had a couple small bones in it. The Loc Lac combo with fried rice was also really tasty, and while we appreciated the flavorful beef, we wish that there was more of it on the plate! The fried rice was the standard stuff you usually find. Overall, we're happy to have tried this place, which felt like a special experience in this particular city. While we have no plans to return, we'd recommend it as a destination if you set your expectations accordingly.

Yelp
I'm surprised that they have quite a few vegetarian dish here. I ordered their eggrolls twice already. They're delicious! The tofu&veggies kathiew was good, it was a little on the sweet side. The only other place that does vegetarian kathiew is sizzling kitchen but I prefer the kathiew from here. I didn't really like the spicy dry megathung it was kind of bland. There's definitely other dish I'd like to try so I'll still give this place a 4 stars. :)

Yelp
My mother gets a voucher every month and this place is where she can use the voucher. Everytime she goes to redeem her voucher the restaurant makes her feel little by denying condiments that's standard for restaurants, gives an attitude and gives smaller portion First off she doesn't want a voucher to go to waste don't treat people like their begging we can more than afford your disgusting service restaurant

R S.

Yelp
If you are into spicy flavorful Asian foods this is a great place. Fresh meats and great tasting broths and noodles. One of our favorites!

Yelp
I love Cambodian cuisine and Simply Khmer was a good place to get it. I walked in and ordered but recommend ordering online. They were a bit busy and it took about 30 minutes but I didn't mind. They kindly brought it out to my car and they were super friendly. I had trouble deciding what to order but went with the Mee Ka-Tahng Sach Ko and Ba/Cha K'nyei, two dishes I hadn't tried before. The Sach Ko is wide noodles in gravy and k'nyei is a ginger stir fry. Both were good. I definitely appreciated the copious amounts of ginger in the stir fry. It was super tasty and the ginger had a nice crispness. I loved the Chinese broccoli in the sach ko. Obviously, there are many choices for Cambodian in Lowell, and Simply Khmer UD a good one. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
Great Khmer cuisine and always recommended by local Cambodian friends. Every dish I've tried is full of flavor and fresh. I really enjoyed their chicken wings.

Yelp
Ordered dinner online for pickup at their website, which is super helpful with pictures and descriptions. There was a small parking lot in front of the restaurant. The restaurant looks clean and the service was good. I would say outside the restaurant, the location looks run down with shady characters around. But don't judge the food by the location. Now, for the food. Bok-lo-hong (Papaya Salad). This is shredded green papaya, tomatoes, shrimp paste, fresh lime juice, fish sauce tossed in a mortar and pestle served with cabbage and basil. This was alright. In my opinion, not the best papaya salad I've had. I've only had the Thai versions, which seemed to be less marinated but this version is not bad. Kuy-Tiew Special is rice Noodles, sliced beef, beef meatballs and assorted seafood in house broth, topped with cilantro, scallions and fried garlic. Bean sprouts served on the side. This is good. The only way I can describe it is it is like Vietnamese pho but with a sweet broth. It is an acquired taste if you have pho often. Mee Ka-tahng Seafood is stir fried flat rice noodles with assorted seafood and Chinese broccoli in house gravy sauce. The only way I can describe this is it is similar to the chinese "chow fun" but with seafood. It was good but kind of basic and nothing mind-blowing. Cha Sach Jrouk Tofu (Stir Fried Pork and Tofu) is stir fried ground pork, tofu, scallions and red chilies in house sauce. This was good. Tastes basic, as you would expect with the listed ingredients. Amok Trey is boneless tilapia fillets cooked in coconut milk sauce flavored with lemon grass, shallots and kaffir lime leaves. Served over steamed Chinese broccoli in a banana leaf bowl. This was interesting. It was expensive for tilapia, which you don't get a lot of but mixed with the sauce and flavors was good. Original Khmer Loc Lac is beef and onions sauteed in a garlic and black pepper sauce over a bed of lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Served with lime black pepper sauce. I loved this. The sauce works so well with the beef and the dressing for the vegetables. Highly recommended. Cha Kroung Sach Jrouk (Lemongrass with Pork) is stir fried pork, onions, jalapeno peppers, red/green bell peppers and holy basil in kroung sauce (herbs and spice mixture made of lemongrass, garlic, turmeric, galangal and kaffir lime leaves). Very flavorful. The sauce, herbs, and spices are what you are paying for and I thought it was worth it. Nam Sach Jourk (Cured Pork) is pork, pork skin, garlic, chili, salt, sugar, spices, and fermentation mix. It is like meat cake. It is pretty good. Recommended to try. Overall, I liked everything, even though I felt some of the stuff were very basic. Some of the foods, I felt were overpriced but the overall quality was good. Everything was cooked well, despite what I thought were basic dishes. I thought they could throw in some rice for the saucy dishes but they didn't. Besides the slight complaints, I enjoyed it and will eat here again.

Yelp
I am in Khmer food heaven! I live in CT now and don't get to eat Khmer food much anymore. We got a feast for two enough to feel a family of 6 and price was really reasonable. The papaya salad and prahok ktiss was my favorite! My Caucasian husband loved the crispy chicken wings! Everything was delicious and service was wonderful. I wish I had this in my town!

Stephen P.

Yelp
Amazing food. In the most unexpected of places. I can't believe a restaurant of this quality is in this most humble of locations
google avatar

P L.

Yelp
Good food and good vibes! They serve authentic Khmer food and doesn't compromise the taste. My group of 4 ordered the Somlaw machu kroeung, meekathang, wings, and a bowl of rice. Everything was shareable and we had a good time. The staff are friendly and understandable. My friend did mention that she thought the soup was a little too salty. However, I don't feel the same. I'm really forward to eating the rest of the menu. It's a popular well-known Cambodian restaurant and I can say that it DOES live up to its name.,

Yelp
First time coming here after a long morning of apple picking and couldn't have been more pleased with the food. They are only offering outside dining but still requires you to order inside so bring your sweaters since fall is here! We ordered chicken wings, kuy-tiev special, mee ka-tang special, cha kroung sach cho. The chicken wings were served crunchy with a delicious and flavorful sauce that covered it. The meat was tender and moist. The mee ka-tang had this decadent gravy that was phenomenal with the flat noodles. A good variety of squid, imitation crab meat and beef is included in the special and the same goes for the kuy-tiev special. The broth of the kuy-tiev was incredibly savory and divine as its my favorite component of any soup. The cha kroung sach cho was also a great dish with even more tender meat and a slightly sweet taste, great with white rice (which isn't automatically included). I loved the amount of bell peppers, onions and jalapeños cooked with the beef. The drinks were also a pleasant surprise. The Thai iced tea was perfect in my eyes, not too creamy or sweet and I don't usually gravitate towards these types of drinks. The durian smoothie had a satisfying sweetness and creaminess without having the overwhelming durian taste. Service was great as well. Couldn't have had a better first visit. Will come back if in the area and might even make a trip just because.

Yelp
So thankful these guys stopped charging for 'to-go' boxes. This was absolutely ridiculous... Anyway... water under the bridge. Today's lunch was phenomenal. Glad to give them back a solid 5-star. The spicy "mee ka-tang with seafood" (ordered 'extra spicy') was PERFECT! Best I've ever had, anywhere, bar none. OMG! I'm drooling all over my keyboard. It was THAT good. Rest of the dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious too! Our server was outstanding! So patient, explaining all the dishes, not in a hurry to move to the next customer. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal today. Great food in great company, and we'll definitely go back!

Yelp
Honestly surprised with the 3.5 star rating (not that that's a bad rating) because the food was phenomenal! Heard Lowell, MA was basically "Little Cambodia" but I've put off trying Cambodian food until now and man...regrets! Should have ventured out sooner. I decided to try Simply Khmer on a whim and was not disappointed. I am Vietnamese so I thought it was amusing how a lot of their menu items are very similar to ours - just with a slightly different spin. I got the Bai Loc Lac which is the Cambodian version of the famous Vietnamese dish: Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef). The steak tips were bomb! I loved the flavor and the meat was just so so tender and cooked perfectly. The Vietnamese version is saucy while the Cambodian version isn't - the flavor is infused into the meat which I like. Instead of steamed white rice I opted for fried rice for a few bucks more and that was delicious as well. Highly recommend the Bai Loc Lac!

The V.

Yelp
I've been a long time and loyal customer at this establishment. They have always served up fantastic food here. I think the popularity and exposure got the best of them and are pushing out their local and dedicated customers to a point where they are increasing the prices that it is not affordable anymore. That's too bad because Sunday night 1/8/2024 will be our last meal there because $20.95 for a bai lok lak rice combo without a fried egg used to be $15.95 as it still states that on your menu pdf. It's marinated FLANK steak and flank isn't an expensive cut of beef. I brought up the price difference when I picked up my order and was told "we just increased the price". Talk about having a hard time swallowing that. If you don't believe me, talk to the guy that worked the counter Sunday night around 8PM or just look up the receipt in your system. I'm not supporting an establishment that's juicing their customers like that because you guys know for a fact that one of the most popular dishes there is the bai lok lak and you purposely increased the price just to get the most money out of that dish. You guys are probably reading this and most likely don't care about me not coming back ever because you will make up the difference anyway. Let's be real here, it's all about the money in the end.

Yelp
I'm on the hunt for a Cambodian place in New York now after trying this place. It's simply delicious. We ordered the hot wings, the Beef Lac Lai with an over easy egg on top, and spring rolls! The hot wings are delicious if you can handle spice. Unfortunately for me, the mild ones were the only ones I could tolerate. Oh and their beef noodle soup (kuy tiew) was fantastic! I would love to come back here every time we're visiting family.

M. A.

Yelp
The food was fantastic, and the service impeccable. Walked out with several of their jars of homemade pickles. A gem.
google avatar

Anita L.

Yelp
Really good place - like that it's very clean with good service. The Loc Lac is always a popular choice here. I also really enjoyed their kuy tiew (very similar to pho but with a noticeable sweet shallot taste in the broth). I got it phnom phen style which is pig offal- there were some pieces of liver, intestines, and meat. There wasn't as much which was fine with me since I mostly enjoy the noodles and broth. I also highly recommend the som law maju srai soup - no photo unfortunately. It's a very flavorful clear broth soup with fish or chicken plus lots of morning glory (on-choy)! Delicious with rice. It is more expensive than other Cambodian restaurants but the atmosphere is comfortable and they also offer food and snacks to purchase in the cooler. I bought their spicy air fried beef jerky once - whoa was it hot! It was basically a beef chip covered in chili pepper. It was seriously addicting though... they sold out another time I went.

Yelp
Good Cambodian food, clearly made and enjoyed by the local Cambodian population. I don't know the cuisine well so I asked the server for a recommendation and she pointed me to an excellent beef dish I enjoyed with some rice. There also seemed to be lots of options of special dishes for any tastes. Ambiance is very casual but comfortable. Service was super friendly and attentive. Very recommended!
google avatar

Nyra I.

Yelp
Simply khmer is very popular. Food is good but I think it's too overpriced. You can get the same thing at other Cambodian Restaurants at a cheaper price.. Atmosphere is lovely. Service is always good.

Laura P.

Yelp
This is our go-to place for Cambodian food, always bring guests here when we're visiting Lowell. We all agreed that the Amoc Trey is fabulous. Fried noodles are tasty, but maybe better as a dish to share with the whole table. The server was very attentive about my food allergies and how to avoid any cross-contamination. Nice Cambodian music in the background, too.
google avatar

Amy O.

Yelp
If you're looking for good Asian cuisine this is it! Their loc lac and fried rice is so good with the bean sauce. The egg rolls and fried hot wings are my favorite. It's BYOB but it's not a dressy restaurant

Vanessa P.

Yelp
Good food and great services! The atmosphere is very inviting. When I was there I ordered Pho. The soup is slightly sweet for my taste.
google avatar

Parnara P.

Yelp
I decided to keep it local this time and get some comfort food. So I went and visited my favorite restaurant for Cambodian food, Simply Khmer. I usually come here to grab some Kuy-tiev (Cambodian version of Pho) but today I felt like some nice simple Bai with Sach Jrouk Chien( Rice with pork chops) and I decided to put a beautiful fried egg on top. This dish is just delicious, the pork was tender, juicy and sweet. The pickled veggies and rice just compliment each other so well. In my opinion this is a perfectly balanced dish. I had also gotten the Ye-Heu Bumpohng( Spicy fried calamari with peppers, scallions and red chillies). This was a great tasting appetizer, the calamari were thick slices that at first seem kind of tough but once you start chewing on them thats when all the flavor profiles start to come out, you have the peppery and spicy flavors all melding into one as you eat them. Solid appetizer and would definitely recommend it. Overall this is one of my favorite restaurants in the lowell area and frequent it often, The home style family oriented restaurant is a great spot for anyone looking to try delicious cambodian cuisine. Recommendations: Bai with Sach Jrouk Chien (rice with pork chops), Sach ko ang( Marinated beef skewers), Kuy-tiev special...and honestly the whole menu if you can Location: 26 Lincoln St Unit #1, Lowell, MA 01851

Yelp
We have been going here for twenty years and the food is really good, service excellent and staff very friendly. The Hot Wings are excellent and most certainly pack some heat and flavor. My favorite is the Som-law Ma-ju Kroeung Knoung Soup and have ordered it at least 25 times. During Covid they shut down for a while and did some renovations which were so minor that it was insignificant. The outdoor dinning was a plus in nice weather. As much as I enjoy the food they are pricing themselves way too high for the lack of ambiance, it is a mistake considering most of the dishes are served basically on a bed of raw vegetables. The soups I enjoyed for years are now $30 a bowl and with half the amount of seafood or meats. The return on investment for me is no longer there and will have to seek out alternatives which is a shame. You should try it for the food, but their heads are in the clouds when it come to value and the dining experience.

Yelp
Simply the best food, service, cozy vibe! Unique and delicious cuisine with the freshest ingredients, huge portions and its byob!

Deina K.

Yelp
the dishes are very expensive and they keep raising their prices. i have dealt with different customer facing individuals over there and they're discriminatory and very short.

Yelp
Solid food, great Kathew kaw ko! Service tends to take a bit, but the food is tasty. Cozy interior, very spacious.

Yelp
Amazing soup and dishes. Chicken wings were the best. I definitely will be returning. Khmer dishes 100% authentic.

Yelp
It's strange how I haven't wrote a review for this place, having come here so many years. I highly recommend getting the HOT WINGS here. The wings are so good everytime! It's sweet & spicy and they are consistent with the wing size unlike bonchon eh uhm. I love the cha kroung... I think that's what it's called. It's basically minced chicken with chopped peppers, onions, etc. if you like something spicy and flavorful, you must get that! My only thing with this dish is that they tend to serve more rice than the stirfry minced chicken. The Loc Lac is another dish my bf and I frequently get as well. The meat is season well, has a hint of sweetness to it. It does come with a side of dipping sauce that you can use for the meat or veggie that comes with it. They do have a parking lot in the front, but it's small. Service is kind of slow at times when it's busy. They close on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Yelp
You could at least posted on Yelp that you are closed - on vacation. Many have traveled far to support your restaurant only to be disappointed. Not responsible as a business to not update your information.

Yelp
We have eaten here several times, and it is always wonderful. I learned to love Khmer cuisine in several trips to Cambodia, and Simply Khmer is the best I have found in the US. The flavors truly "pop" here, perhaps reflecting lengthy French occupation of Cambodia. Just go and try anything on the menu. Do be aware of your tolerance for spicy and tell your server. The ambiance is simple but nicely upscale compared to other Cambodian restaurants I have tried in this heavily Khmer area. A very pleasant experience.

Yelp
This is the spot to go to if you want some good khmer food. It's not as good as something made at home but you can taste, see, and feel the when you dine here. Simply Khmer was my staple when I attended school at UML back in 2013. The food was delicious then and hasn't changed much! Papaya salad, wings, and some kind of rice is the what you HAVE to get. Everytime. Yes it's that good. If you have room in your stomach still feel free to venture out to the other items on the menu but trust me you'll be coming back to the combo above. Restaurant is always clean. Never had a complaint with the cleanliness in the bathroom either. In fact for some time I used to consider this place to be the best bathroom ever due to their scented soaps. They have a small parking lot but you should be able to find something on the street if needed. Love the food! Will always come back
