The food is very good. The eggplant fries, mwaah, out of this world. A little pricey so not an every day eatery. It's best to have reservations.

Simply Sara's is a staple in the Ortega area. What you can count on when you eat there is the freshest to food they really take care to make sure everything you're eating is the best you can possibly be. Although the wait was longer then we anticipated for brunch today what's the food showed up we decided it was worth it. Fried Green Tomatoes , Grilled cheese sandwiches on sourdough bread with havarti and cheddar with sliced tomatoes, chicken and waffles with gravy and honey, baked mac two ways, with and without shrimp and a fried corn, oh let's not forget the french fries. Simple, delicious, southern food. Friendly waitstaff. Generous portions. Beautiful restaurant with nice big windows with a great view. The perfect diner. Nuff said.

This was very good and very fresh. If you’re in a hurry don’t come here. If you want fresh hot food then this is the place! They treat side dishes as more than an afterthought. Squash casserole and fried okra spot on.

Absolutely delicious food! The pimento cheese was so good. Our server was wonderful! Will definitely be back!

Very good food, unique menu items, all outstanding. Mom & pop restaurant with very friendly staff. Very relaxing ambience in restored building.

At this time you can only get meals to be picked up, but what meals! The food here is excellent. Have tried the fried shrimp and the country fried steak. Both were very tasty. The sides are well seasoned and delicious. The cucumbers and tomatoes were especially good. Portions are just right. Call and order a great meal while supporting your local family owned business!

The food is very good and there is a lovely server that we get almost every time. I have never had a bad meal here and the desserts are fantastic. I do not really care for the styrofoam containers or the paper baskets. The quality of the food and the price warrants real dishes. And I think if the door is open there is a reasonable expectation that the place is open. My husband dropped in to buy some cookies on a Thursday after 3...door open...and he was greeted with "What do you want?! We're not open!" They did end up selling him some cookies, but he is very put off by the place now. And they make my favorite cookies! SAD!
