Where to Eat Middle Eastern Food in San Diego - Eater San Diego
"While Simsim’s vibe is modern the menu is based on classic Arabic cuisine; specifically shawarma, or meats cooked on a vertical rotisserie, shaved and then served in a freshly baked saj wrap or bowl with vegetables. A second location of the fast-casual concept is opening soon in Carmel Valley." - Keri Bridgwater
Simsim Plans To Debut Its New Spin on Middle Eastern Fare Soon - Eater San Diego
"Prepare for generous portions of authentic Middle-Eastern cuisine at the Gateway at Kearny Mesa retail hub next month when Simsim debuts a revamped take on rotisserie sliced shawarma meals." - Susan Stapleton

Very tasty. Very fresh. Very fair prices! After a full day at the San Diego Zoo, my boyfriend and I ate dinner here on the patio! We really enjoyed it! 😁 We were very surprised by how inexpensive the meal was!
🪴The interior is very modern and reminds me of a Mediterranean chipotle 🤩
Their protein bowls are very filling, we couldn’t even finish our food!
MUST TRY: The baklava 😍 definitely not like when my friend made some homemade baklava, but a close second!
HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent and clean Middle Eastern food, served with love and warmth. Lots of choices on the menu and the prices are more than fair. Chef Abrahim's friendly and engaging personality helps answer any questions customers might have and checks to see that your order is to your liking. A definite must try and try again place to grab a good meal in a comfortable setting. See you guys at SimSim again real soon.

It was like eating the healthiest chicken and beef shawarma. Even the hummus tasted super healthy. It was a different taste for me. I guess I might be used to the shawarma and hummus from your local hole in the wall spot but this place was like eating the healthy version. Just a slightly different taste from what I expected but still yet it was ok. The place is nice inside and out, clean and they take time plating the food which a great presentation.

I had a simple garlic chicken and a spicy chicken shwarma with fries. The fries were perfect. The spicy chicken was good. The garlic was a good surprise when I found a whole pickle spear in it, that's a new one for me, but really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and place is clean. I should have only ordered one shwarma as two was too many.

This place is just fantastic! The service is great and the food is just mouth watering. This was my first time going but I will be a regular customer in no time. I got the Spicy Meat shawarma and the flavors were breath taking. The meat was fresh and the different sauces just enhanced the flavor. The side dishes were all also wonderful I recommend the Moutabel.

Amazing restaurant! When they found out it was our first time, they gave us samples of EVERYTHING so we knew exactly what we would want in our shawarma. The food was prepared quickly and so tasty. Would definitely come here again! Highly recommend

In one word, Outstanding! All the ingredients tasted so fresh and it reminded me of when I used to live in the middle east. The decor is inviting, modern and bright. Staff was extremely well trained and friendly. My favorite was the simsim with chicken shawarma and pomegranate. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me and my family.

Had the SimSim Shawarma. Stuffed with potatoes, chicken, parsley, pomegranate, some light sauce and a side of fries. I enjoyed it.
Don't forget to grab some of the free black tea with cardamom! It was very good.
