Here's a review based on your feedback: Amazing Crab Bee Hoon & Friendly Service! The Crab Bee Hoon here is absolutely delicious – truly the highlight of the meal! If you're a party of four (two adults, one preschooler, and one young elementary school child), ordering just one Crab Bee Hoon should be plenty. If you find yourselves still hungry, you can always order the chicken rice on the spot, which is also very good. The coffee is also excellent and easy to drink; I highly recommend the iced coffee. The hall staff are incredibly kind, polite, and provide excellent service. My only regret from the visit was the ordering process. A staff member from the kitchen came out to take our order, and despite my attempts to decline more than half of their recommendations, anticipating that we wouldn't be able to finish everything, we still ended up with far too much food for four people. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: * Scallops: S$25 - Not particularly delicious. I regret ordering these. * Prawns: S$26 - Also not very tasty. I regret ordering these. * Two Frogs: S$42 - I tried these for the experience, as I'd never had them before, but I somewhat regret it. * Crab Bee Hoon: S$136 - Highly, highly recommended! If you come here, just order this and the coffee. * Two Coffees, One Beer: S$12 - Inexpensive and tasty! Overall, the service from the hall staff is outstanding! Credit cards are accepted.

Can’t get anymore local than this. No fuss tze char food in a corner of Geylang. Everything is good, lots of garlic in many dishes for garlic lovers. Pacing of the meal was impeccably calculated by the uncle whipping these dishes out like clockwork. Must get the fishball soup, and steamed prawns, if I absolutely had to choose.

Haven’t been excited about fishball noodles for years but uncle brought me right back with fresh handmade balls of joy. Felt like I was in Malaysia - the size and texture of the balls were perfect and provided a great mastication feel. Come in my mouth! 4 balls and noods for 4 bucks - is this a firesale or what?

Love the old school vibe of this kopitiam, which is becoming very rare in highly modernised Singapore. Also, the staff were all extremely friendly. Tried the curry rice, which was value for money but so so in taste. Interestingly, the auntie will microwave your plate of food. There are also stalls selling duck rice and turtle soup in the day. At night, there is a zichar stall famous for its delicious seafood but notorious for its steep prices.

A hidden gem in a coffee setting with absolutely fantastic crab bee hoon. Crab was meaty and fresh, beehoon absorbed all the goodness and making every mouth and bite incredibly satisfying. If you’re a seafood lover, this crab beehoon is a must and am definitely coming back for more. Reasonably priced and worth the price tag as the crab was relatively big.

Based on the online reviews about Sin Huat Eating House, and after visiting myself, I think they are grossly misunderstood. This is a no frills coffee shop where you can get what is probably Singapore's best crab bee hoon. I visited on a Wednesday with 3 friends and we were probably the only customers that night, so we got all that we ordered within 1.5 hours. The boss would come and take your order and he would list off the available dishes that night, and you can then decide if you want it. One thing to note is, he will decide the portions for you. We got the following dishes and they came up to $642, including drinks: 1) Satay cockles 2) Petai 3) Otah 4) Stir Fried Kai Lan 5) Gong gong 6) Scallops 7) Chicken Essence with Frog legs 8) Steamed lobster with garlic 9) Crab bee hoon In general, all the dishes were great! We were really lucky that there were no other customers. The crab was probably the biggest mud crab I have eaten, and the wok hei and umami of the bee hoon was just crazy. If you can find friends that are willing to dine in a non air con environment and you have the time, please do yourself a favour and try the food here. Oh, they take credit cards too, so no worry about having to run across the road to draw cash from the ATM.

I hate to write bad reviews but I have to comment on this shop. Food is normal at best but everything else is very disappointing. There is no menu and pricing unless asked, the chef will also come over and comment that we ordered too little and does not share the prices if we increase the portion. 7 dishes took about 3 hours to serve and when we wanted to cancel 1 of our order, they mentioned that it is already cooking but the dish was ended up being served to another customer. Worst of all, the service is almost non-existent and they do not seem apologetic about anything. It is 1 of the most expensive local Zi char store I have been and i’m a local Singaporean. 6 person costed about $630. You can easily find better and cheaper seafood places elsewhere. Do not fall for hype on social media like we did.

I had tried the dinner session of sin Huat which I’m not reviewing now. Today i had tried the lunch mix veg rice of sin Huat and it was so good without all the long wait of overpriced dishes at night though they are also good. The pig skin , intestine n otah all hit the right note n balance. Must order pig skin. I will be back to try the lunch again but not for the dinner. Lunch: solid cooking, tasty, reasonable price, short to no waiting. Dinner: nice food, long waiting time, rather overpriced. Verdict: will come for lunch but not dinner.
