Phuket, Thailand, Dining Guide to the Food & Drink Scene | Eater

"A hillside resort on Cape Gecko less than five miles from the town center and a short walk from Siray Bay, offering expansive rooms and villas that tumble down a jungle slope with ocean glimpses — a convenient base for guests who want beach views without being far from the town’s dining scene." - Austin Bush

My husband and I stayed in the Duplex Pool Villa Type B for two nights, here is our feedback:Cons:- Floating breakfast is assemble from the hotel breakfast area. After staying in The Shore at Katakini, their floating breakfast has customized menu and it is complimentary. It is BELOW AVERAGE quality was provided at Sinae with such a high charge. We will not recommended at all.- Privacy in the hotel is extremely low. The pool can be seen from the neighbors from top, down, left and right pools. Also can see the showers on both sides. The neighbors are so close can even ask for a drink lol.- Isolated location, which my husband and I loved, but assume for some people do not want the pricey hotel food, a long drive to the city is for sure.- We ate at both restaurants twice, ordered braised pork and fried pork dish. The braised one tasted different, one day is good, the other night was below average. The fried pork dish, costs 360 for 5 little pieces of fried pork FATS. (This can be very subjective when it comes to tasting)- When bathing in the tub upstairs, noticed the floors were damaged after draining the water. This might be something to keep in mind when maintaining the hotel.- Overall it is very odd to us that a hotel not even 3 years old has so much wear and damaged. The water of the pool flows all the way from the very top room, imagining be the last pool with all the other guests their gross stuffs.Pros:- Room is well equipped with drinks, beverages, and snacks.- Pools are massive- AC are blessing cold!- Staffs are friendly, they helped us with the big bee issue right away. Parking staffs are very nice, reminded me of my own grandpa.

The apartment was beautiful, private swimming pool and everything was spotlessly clean. Our maid was exceptionally good at cleaning and refreshed our room daily. We stayed for 8 nights. The concierge team were so welcoming and the ladies in spa so friendly. The concierge team on the buggies were such a great team! Breakfast was first class every morning. We ate a few times in the restaurant, food was stunning & service although friendly at times could be very slow. The reception team also brilliant helped me organise flowers for my wife on Valentine’s Day. We had an amazing stay. Only downside was location. Although beautiful to look out at, you need to get taxis everywhere and nothing really walkable…. But that is just a small part! I would recommend Sinae, it’s luxurious, beautiful and must of all has such a great team! They really do wish you the best time and make you feel special ☀️🇹🇭

Haven't stayed here, went for evening drinks and dinner. Looks nice but quite steep..you cannot literally walk to the rooms. Views are nice but the beach is very bad, full of rocks. Service staff is great. Yet, considering the location and how compact it is, I'm not sure whether you get what you pay for.

The place is absolutely beautiful. You get buggy to most places as it is uphill. The best part for us was when we took buggies cause the staff was so lovely and nice in particular Sek and Aon. The restaurant staff was welcoming too. We had issues with the room but the hotel did try to resolve. When we arrived we wasn’t given keys initially, it wasn’t exactly a very warm welcome from reception team. I travel a lot around the world and in comparison we would have had a better stay if the room didn’t have issues with toilet flush and the door to the pool which despite trying to fix was still not fully functional. We was only there for two nights so we just left it. The breakfast is really good loads of choices with the buffet breakfast and the rooftop hill starbucks is also gorgeous. I liked the spa it was really good. We liked the private pool in the room it was clean and had really good views.

Great and very nice view with sunrise and moon at night from Ocena View Villa. High quality of food and variety of choices for breakfast. Good advice for restaurants and nice service from receptionist. Buggy drivers were helpful for pickups, and the buggy service saved to walk slope. Efficient support from technicians to fix the noise from balcony door generating from wind. Housekeeping was also very efficient for checking out.

The most kind staff and beautiful place we’ve ever stayed! I’d highly recommend! If you’re wanting a very low key place away from all the high traffic in town, this is the place. ||The best views and also delicious food. We loved our private pool and spent so much time in it! Comfiest beds and pillows too!

Staff are nice and help is a lot and buggy always are on time! Breakfast can be made better so different food options every day! But the location is far away from the city and you have to take a motorbike or taxi! But at least we are happy to stay there!
