SO GOOD. One of the best bagels in Portland, if not the best. Bagel is perfectly chewy & has lots of taste on its own (sourdough!!). Highly recommend the kimchi cheddar if you want to try something extra special. Looking forward to trying more of their unique specials. Atmosphere is great, plenty of seating. Service is 10/10. Coffee was good too! Zero complaints. It’s a must stop spot if you’re a fan of bagels 👌🏻

Google
Best bagels I’ve ever had in my home town! I stopped randomly on my way to a work event and liked it so much I went back 2 days later with my wife. I’ve been to HH, Spielmans, etc, and these are the best. The shop itself is cool too. Will be back many more times.

Went to add another bagel shop to our list. The bagels were good, a little tough, but my daughter had pointed out we should be going earlier in the day. My everything bagel definitely had everything! The place is pleasant and very clean. They bake their bagels in house. We will be back

Google
All sourdough bagels! Delicious chewy texture, on the denser side, with interesting flavors. I tried the zatar-evoo and kimchi-cheddar. The first was an herbal, spiced flavor that wasn't too overpowering (I prefer bagels plain but this would be great with hummus or cream cheese). Parking was easy, staff was friendly and quick. About 3.50$/bagel and tbh it feels right for the quality, size, flavor profile, etc. I'm technically gluten free (NOT celiac!!!) and read that sourdough is less harsh to digest than regular gluten. Here's hoping I'm right because I'd love to come back! Edit: had no idea today was the soft opening! Definitely seems like they've been at it for awhile 🥯

Google
Beautiful blistered crust on the outside of the bagel, the inside is a perfect chewy texture. I was in love at first bite. The rosemary and Malden salt was the WOW I needed this morning. I personally could have done with less cream cheese (next time I will req less). The veggies are fresh and crisp. This was the best bagel I have had. My partner got the cheddar kimchi, he let me steal a bite. IMHO, my rosemary/malden salt was better.

Google
Tried them for the first time last week and had to go back two more times the same week! I regret not having Tried every flavor yet. I had to have the gruyere and onion bagel, with chive cream cheese, twice. I want to eat it all day long. Rich flavor and chewy bagels. Chive cream cheese has actual flavor not just green flicks in it. Coffee was great to boot too. Pretty speedy in the morning rush too. Full crew working hard and super nice.

Google
New discovery: a pre-ordered batch of Sincerely, Bagels + a selection of schmears makes for an incredible contribution to a potluck picnic. Meena took our order via email and was so nice and helpful. The bagels were so fresh and chewy out of the oven, and even better eaten with friends on a blanket in the sun. Highly recommend!

Google
This was the best consistency of any bagel I’ve ever had. It was perfectly chewy, a little bit of crunch on the outside, and sooo soft on the inside. The staff was very nice too! I got the zaatar evoo bagel for reference. I live right next door to a different bagel shop, but will likely make the trek here way more often now

Yelp
Sincerely, Bagel. I don't even know where to start. I am quite the critic when it comes to eating out, as I always expect a high quality-to-price ratio. Sincerely, Bagel blew my expectations upon first bite! I've been to a variety of bagel locations throughout my life as it is a great easy breakfast option, but Sincerely, Bagel easily surpassed all others (to the point of neglect). I first tried their bagels in July and have not stopped thinking about them as my go-to bagel location (I've been a handful of times since then). The selection does vary due to demand and production, but I have not been disappointed with any of the bagels I've tried thus far. The first time I tried Sincerely, Bagel, I got a Za'tar & EVOO bagel with regular cream cheese (you save a few cents). WOW! I never expected to have a reaction to a bagel as I did with this one, it had a crispy exterior, was seasoned generously, and provided a soft interior with a perfectly textured cream cheese. The later times I've gone, I've tried the Rosemary & EVOO bagel and the cheesy garlic bagel with the scallion cream cheese and the garlic and herb cream cheese. While I realized I may not be a cheese bagel type of girl, I did enjoy all selections greatly. The price for a specialty bagel along with a flavored cream cheese is about $6.50, but I believe it is worth every cent (including additional tip). I have not been able to thoroughly assess and describe their product as I typically do with other food places as I eat the product too quickly. I do know that the process that they are consistently delivering with their product is spectacular and has not disappointed me at all (staff have been different multiple times as well). Sincerely, Bagel is definitely worth the visit and price for me (which is very rare)! It intrigues me to the point of interest in their baking and preparation process. Typically when visiting, I'm in a rush or taking out, but they offer a nice seating area with a few tables, chairs, and a bench! There is often a line (but wasn't once), which can take some time to get your item (I would assume an average of 3-4 minutes per bagel as the wait time), but it is definitely worth the wait! They seem to perform to perfection with all varieties of bagels (whichever suits your preference). If they had a stamp card, that would be dangerous and I'd suddenly become an early bird! My only complaint is the early closing time (as most other bagel places have), because I can eat a Sincerely, Bagel bagel at any time.

Yelp
THE BIG: Located in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Portland and shares a wall with the pie spot. Snug and cozy bagel spot that has some asian inspired items. Street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I was staying with a friend and he recommended this bagel spot to me. They have some interesting bagel combinations. The one that stood out to me was the chili crisp bagel. I got the cheddar & kimchi bagel with eggs, cheese, and microgreens along with a chili crisp bagel w/ spicy scallion spread. Both were delicious however I did think the chili crisps bagel was too fried and the exterior hard as I was eating it. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Ultimate for two bagels, we spent around $21. Pretty pricey but to be honest, pretty delicious. I'd come back again to try more of their stuff.

Yelp
I came near closing time on a Thursday, around 12:15pm so they were out of most of their bagels. But I was able to get the Carnegie with a cheesy garlic bagel and it was delicious! I'm a huge lox and bagel lover so it's typically my go-to at bagel shops. They have signs inside noting they use lots of local ingredients and their lox is shipped fresh from NY. Love that!! They have a couple of two seat tables inside, very simple and cute. I'll definitely have to come back earlier to try their famous Kimchi cheddar bagel!! Make sure to check out this Korean-owned small business!

Yelp
Very unique bagels like zaatar & evoo, leek & sesame! I got the kimchi- cheddar bagel with egg, cheese and microgreens. I thought the bagel was too soft and not crispy but the sandwich itself was delicious! For over $10, this bagel sandwich was pricey, but it hit the spot. The egg was soft and the bagel had alot of flavor. The cream cheese are very unique as well. I loved the spicy scallion schmear. Staff is very nice and overall quick service.

Yelp
I actually saw a critical review of Sincerely Bagel that made me want to come try it for myself. They opened in early 2025 so they're pretty new. They serve sourdough bagels with Korean-inspired flavors. Of course they have traditional bagels/schmears too. You can also get a bagel sandwich or other pastry. I'm not a bagel critic (or some might say bagel snob) - but these were good! Crunchy crusty exterior, chewy doughy interior, and fun flavors. We tried four flavors: plain, zaatar+evoo, leek+sesame, and of course kimchi. Staff was friendly and our bagels came out warm, quickly. This place seems popular so I imagine there is usually a line and they do sell out some days!

Yelp
Kimchi cheddar bagel is fun and unique! Nice chewy texture with great sourdough flavor. Line was long on a Saturday morning and price is on the higher end, but I get it the hype. I'd return to try some more flavors!

Yelp
I didn't realize Sincerely Bagel was insta famous when I went to check it out when running errands. I came around 11AM on a Saturday and I think it was in between rushes because they still have some of their infamous kimchi bagels. I was starving so I ended up adding the souffle egg, bacon, and cheese for a yummy breakfast sandwich. It took around 10 mins for it to come out but they bring it to your table. I already enjoy eating kimchi so to have it on a bagel? Genius. The bagel sandwich did get a little messy so be sure to have plenty of napkins on hand but it was super fluffy and had a nice crunch with the kimchi. The souffle eggs were a nice touch and balance since the kimchi & bacon add some saltiness to it. Solid breakfast option and would be down to get it again but it does get expensive close to $15. Didn't try their coffee this time but be sure to check out the sign for some other bagel specials they have. If you're not feeling that they have your standard options as well - just check the case to be sure they are in stock.

Yelp
8am on a Saturday, I picked up quite the variety to take home. Friendly service and reasonable wait time. Everything was wonderful! I'll be back! Recommendations: 1. Carnegie 2. Za'atar & Evoo bagel & spicy scallion schmear 3. Kimchi Cheddar bagel sandwich with souffle egg, cheese, pork roll 4. oh everything else

Yelp
I want to set something straight here before I get started. Bagels in PDX will never be on the same level as NYC bagels. They aren't even in the same class. So to ding this little place with 2 star reviews because it isn't NYC is a bit ridiculous, IMHO. I've had plenty of bagels around the US and their have their own place with respect to their city and I will be giving this review with that in mind. For the city of Portland, Sincerely Bagel brings some unique unique offerings to the table which I haven't seen before. Kimchi bagel and the Leek, sesame, and gruyere (LSG) come to mind but also the za'atar and evoo bagel. They also have some standard bagel offerings for those that aren't as adventurous. We selected the kimchi and the LSG bagel but also asked the cashier for some help in pairing the right schmear for these bagels. They suggest the spicy scallion and the regular scallion respectively. For vegans there are two options as well with a small upcharge. The staff here are the friendliest. They were mopping the floor in front of the coffee station and went and got us the creamer so we didn't have to make their floor messy. Also when our bagels came out and they knew we were sharing offered to cut our bagels in half and we took them up on it. The schmears were spot on. The kimchi had just enough kick to make it not overwhelming but definitely give it a little bite with the savoriness. The LSG was kinda sweet. I wasn't expecting that. No complaints but just know it is a slightly sweet bagel. Both were easy to bite into and chew. Price to proportion ratio was on on par with other bagel joints. While not a huge seating area still plenty of two person tables. I actually looked the unique color scheme of the walks too. Kinda soothing. Two colors of blue on white and a green floor. If I had to nitpick anything here it is how hard it is to read the menu sign. The letters are just too small. I got a headache just trying to read it. Against the dotted background. Not only does this slow down ordering but I found it annoying. They should change this out to improve readability. Parking is only street parking in the neighborhood. This is typical of the downtown area but I had no problem finding parking quickly on a Friday morning. I think I wanna come back and try the za'atar and evoo next time. Thanks for the unique offerings!

Yelp
What isn't made better by the addition of kimchi?! When I saw a video about the kimchi bagels, I knew I had to come with my spouse as we keep trying kimchi everything. The location is convenient just off a busy street; we were able to secure nearby parking easily. And the storefront is so cute in bright happy colors with plants and a nice row of bench and chair seating along the length of the long narrow space. We had excellent, friendly and helpful service from the person who took our order helping us pair the right cream cheese options to the person who brought out bagels out and then offered to cut them so we could share. We observed some to-go orders while we were there and service was quick! We really enjoyed our bagels. I'm glad I started with the leek and Gruyère because it was a little delicate in flavor and slightly sweet. It did pair well with scallion cream cheese but plain would have also worked. The kimchi bagel was the star for both of us though. My first bite was strong and so tasty! I got another couple bites that were strong and spicy. Overall even though the cream cheese was the spicy version, it wasn't too spicy. I look forward to coming back for another kimchi bagel and the Za'atar bagel next time!

Yelp
Best bagel I've had in a long time! Stopped in to try the Za'atar bagel, but saw the tartines & had to pivot. Ordered the Nolita on a leek, sesame, Gruyère & honey bagel, it was SO good! The bagel itself was bomb, light and soft inside with a flavorful crispy outside. The leeks were delicious & savory, they went so well with the bite of the lemon vinaigrette on the micro greens. The portion was great, worth the price. Def goin' back this weekend to try some of the others, stoked to have these in the neighborhood!

Yelp
So I drove 30 minutes to get to this place and after my experience I can honestly say I'd have driven twice as far to have this amazing of a time! I had the Nolita which offers your choice of bagel (I had the Everything because that is the best kind, always) with a nice schmeer, EVOO drizzle, a generous amount of fresh micro greens and capers. This is a lovely meal. (If I could, I buy one of these and frame it and put it in the foyer of my mansion. Of course it wouldn't last because I would eat it right off, and also I don't have a foyer, much less mansion.) My dining partner had the Mulberry and chose a rosemary bagel with that. She said it was luscious. The Mulberry has a Schmear plus fresh tomato slices with EVOO and a dusting of salt and pepper. Well, the coffee was OK, it was a little weak for my liking, but I prefer very strong and very dark roasted coffee. My companion had a latte that she found delightful. Very pleasant service and a cute and clean environment.

Yelp
My only big gripe is that the menu board is so hard to read. It's black lettering on a small white board but the way the texture of the board is, the letters blur together..I honestly had to get close to see the menu so I don't feel like it's very accessible. Other than that.. Great unique sourdough bagels that are freshly made! I got the kimchi bagel with plain schmear and smoked salmon!! Everything tasted amazing, although I wish the kimchi flavor was a bit stronger, or that it was baked into the bagel?
google avatar

Leif B.

Yelp
Best bagel in Portland! Very highly recommended. Both amazing standard bagel options, and super delicious more interesting bagels and schmears. Nice light and welcoming space. Very quick and kind service. Awesome everything bagel, and the spicy scallions schmear was so good. The special fig schmear was so so good (not too sweet). I can't wait to go back and try other flavors and combinations.
google avatar

Holly T.

Yelp
Saw it on Instagram; went for the kimchi cheddar bagel. They sold out the day before, so we tried to get there early-ish. There was a long line outside. I think we waited about an hour from line to bagels in hand. We both ordered the kimchi one, and it was pretty good. Got it with the spicy schmear, which was also delicious. I've never seen a. Kimchi bagel on a menu, so that was something fun to try. Prices seem fair, I think. Staff were amazing even though they were insanely busy! There's ample seating inside if you choose to stay. Can't wait to try other flavors. Thanks!

Mike C.

Yelp
Great bagel but OMG it's expensive. Breakfast for four was over $100! FOR BAGEL SANDWICHES. I don't care how good the Bagels are. That's crazy.. to clarify we ordered Sandwiches that were at minimum $15.00 and some were lox sandwiches that were over $20 each with a few additions. That combined with beverages made it over $100. Regardless $$3.00/3.75 for a single bagel alone? I think that's expensive and no price break for bagels by the dozen. I spend for good food and these are great bagels but too expensive by my standards.

Amber P.

Yelp
These are the best bagels I've ever bad. Definitely a must try! The roasted onion & parm is fantastic.

Ngoc L.

Yelp
Best place for bagel so far! I've never liked bagel this much until I tried Sincerely Bagel. The line is longggg. Make sure to check with them on your order if you wait for a little too long.
google avatar

Anne L.

Yelp
Top tier bagels and fillings! That chili crisp bagel is brilliant. The rosemary and olive oil o e is incredible as well
google avatar

Chezz C.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place, since I live nearby. I like the name, the space, of course the location. I like the Korean influence -- kimchi bagels and spicy scallion schmear! Sounds good! Unfortunately the bagels would get laughed out of New York. And don't even rank among Portland bagels. They remind me of an article or cookbook entry I once read, an interview with an old master bagel baker, they would offer him various bagels and he would say "Where's the powdered sugar?" In other words, they are soft breads, closer to doughnuts than they are to real bagels.

Lu K.

Yelp
So tasty! The menu is quite extensive so we got 4-5 different bagels with different cream cheeses. Def have to go back b/c there are so many diff pairing options with the add-ons as well
google avatar

Nick N.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but the prices are offensive for what you are getting and the way the menu is laid out is weirdly misleading. A bagel egg and cheese shouldn't cost north of $10 and when you look at the menu it doesn't specify that the $6.50 for the egg and American cheese is an ADDITIONAL charge to the original price of the bagel. I understand that they use quality ingredients and that costs more, but you have to make your menu clearer. The bagel itself was decent, and I like their unconventional flavors. It's no Rachel's bagels in Seattle though that would be the closest comp in terms of flavor variety's. Ultimately there are more affordable options in town that are just as nice.
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
Tried a Za'atar and olive oil (this town! it was light almost fluffy and tasty. Almost like a doughnut. I'll need to go back and try an Everything.
google avatar

Jill S.

Yelp
My bagel just didn't do it for me. I ordered the cheese and kimchi bagel with cream cheese and the bagel was too chewy where either sharper front teeth of a knife to cut into bite size pieces would be necessary. Flavor was good. Staff were friendly and fun. Atmosphere was a fun breakfast spot.
google avatar

Carri M.

Yelp
Simply excellent bagels. Reminded me a bit of Montreal style. A bit thinner, nice chewy crust and soft interior. Breakfast sandwiches amazing. Cream cheese varieties galore. Creative and delicious. Good service. Teeny tiny shop. Limited seating.
google avatar

Alisha H.

Yelp
Delicious - chewy on the inside and crispy outer. Lovely staff. Get there ASAP to maximize your joy.

Yelp
Finally! A great bagel in PDX! I'm fairly picky about a bagel and prefer an East coast bagel above all others, but the bagels at Sincerely are truly outstanding! All of the standard bagels are offered plus a few others with a Korean flair (kimchi & cheddar) and a few others. I arrived at 815 on Sunday. They open at 8. The place was already humming. While in line i watched fresh bagels being pulled from the ovens as fast as they were being packed up by the cashier. I was just going to grab an everything bagel to get a baseline for this place. And then the menu grabbed my eye. A breakfast bagel with egg, American cheese and pork roll. The New Jersey kid in me could not say no.. And DAMN! Perfection! Restaurant was immaculate, staff were kind and helpful. Keep it up, Sincerely! Sincerely, Matt

michelle m.

Yelp
This would have been a 5 star review. I tried this place for the first time and was in love with my sesame bagel, chive cream cheese, avocado, and tomato. I returned a few days later after driving 45 minutes to find that they were out of food at 1:20 for a 2:00 closing. NOTHING. You're a bagel shop. You may be out of almost all bagels, but you should have AT LEAST one kind of bagel left (even the kind that most people don't like). I'll say again, "You're a bagel shop". Please don't be a bagel shop whose weekend hours are until 2:00 if you have no bagels at 1:20. BE SURE TO CALL before coming to see if they have bagels. They may be out.
google avatar

Gina G.

Yelp
I always have to smile when I see people lined up out the door, but in this case it's actually deserved. I just live in neighborhood & so the moment I don't see a line I go in. I got a Za'atar toasted bagel with spicy scallion cream cheese with an Americano coffee. The bagel was freshly baked, soft, crispy on the outside & the cream with fresh bits of crunchy scallions. Everything is clearly housemade which (as a person who absolutely loves to cook, mix, bake, pickle, etc)... it was honestly one the best bagels I've ever had all around. The coffee was perfectly made. I got it with oat milk. Vegetarian/vegan options for sausage I noticed on the menu. I appreciate that. But the most pleasant surprise of all, considering how out priced Portland has become after Covid are the reasonable prices. The interior is your basic minimalistic in cool colors with a few plants. Seating was plenty good for the space which was reasonable also. I will certainly will be back. I'm not even one these people that saw any announcements via Instagram, etc.... just a curious neighbor wanting to know what all the fuss is about.

Roman R.

Yelp
Hands down best bagels in Portland! The poppyseed onion gruyère? (i think), Kimchi cheddar, and chili crisp bagels are SO good, I could very easily eat them every single day but force myself to limit it to once or twice a week. It's also rare to find bagel shops with really good espresso drinks and matcha and Sincerely comes through in the drink department. Everyone that works here is so sweet and I look forward to seeing them all too, plus it's a cute place! Also, weird, but I love using their bagel wrap paper to journal because it bonds really well to other paper and has their cute logo design.

Yelp
I'm having a hard time putting into words how amazing this bagel was. Everything we got was delicious. Perfectly soft bagel with amazing amount of schmear. We are on the hunt for the best bagel in Portland and this no doubt is the winner. It has been a long journey. The ONLY complaint I have is that we came at 11am and there were only a few bagel options, however, this ended up being no problem with how amazing those few options were. We ended up going back for the kimchi and cheddar bagel because we just couldn't resist. 10/10. Workers were all nice and you can tell they were all hauling ass back there with a constant line on a Sunday morning. Can't wait to return!
