Singing Tiger - Review - Union Market - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"Union Market’s got coffee roasters, oyster bars, and now, karaoke. Inside Hotel Nell, this noodle and karaoke den serves melon nigiri, tonkatsu ramen, and enough sake flights and soju to convince you that your “Stay With Me” cover belongs on TikTok. It doesn’t, but bless your heart for trying." - Omnia Saed

If you’re looking for a place with creativity meets flavor and fun I feel like Singing Tiger is the place to be from the moment I stepped in. I was struck by the vibrant energy of the space blending modern decor with a very welcoming atmosphere from the door to my seat. The menu is a mix of annotative drinks that push the boundaries of what you would normally expect at a cocktail bar/Pan Asian restaurant. My favorite drink was “Smoke on the watermelon” which was full of flavor , had a nice Smokey bubble effect in a FISH GLASS ! I think that maybe the highlight of my night lol … not really a fan of watermelon but the way the drink balanced out with my meal : Steak skewers , Cucumber salad as well as the Thai Chrissy wings were amazing. ! This is a place I would highly recommend to end your night after a long day or even a day where you just want to feel the vibes from the beautiful drinks , different but flavorful food choices and themed karaoke rooms to end it all ! We’ll be back for sure very soon !

Stumbled across this restaurant after a night out in Noma and was not disappointed! Hidden in an alley is this beautifully decorated spot with ambient lighting and strong theme The food was delicious- we had the Thai crispy wings and cold noodles. The wings were fried well and in a tangy/savory sauce that I loved Drinks were well balanced I had the midnight blossom and my boyfriend had the yakuza shadows. Ok the sweeter side but definitely well balanced Staff was attentive, friendly and overall seem like they actually have a good time working there. I would come back!

Singing Tiger isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a night out all in one place. The food is flavorful and beautifully presented, the cocktails are theatrical and delicious, the service is upbeat and attentive, and the karaoke experience is pure joy. It’s the kind of place where time flies, photos are taken, and memories are made. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to spice up a regular night out, Singing Tiger is absolutely worth adding to your DC must-try list. We left with full bellies, sore throats from singing, and huge smiles — and we’re already planning our next visit.

Had dinner here as a Hotel Nell guest, in town visiting for the weekend. Amaaaaaazing drinks and vibe. I’m going to be dreaming about those steak skewers until I can come back for a visit. Service was absolutely flawless, I felt like a regular in a place I’ve never been.

Tonight me and my friends visited singing Tiger for the first time and the experience was a 9/10 only because our drinks took over 30mins to be made. Our server phantom was phenomenal 😍🔥 she sang karaoke with us and was very attentive! I was in awe when I got to meet the chef who made the menu and will definitely come back

I visited Singing Tiger for the first time and it did not disappoint! The vibe is electric a perfect mix of sleek, fun, and a little wild. We booked one of their private karaoke rooms, and it was such a blast — great sound system, comfy seating, and the perfect spot to let loose with friends. The cocktails were creative and delicious (you can really taste the Asian-inspired twist in each one), and the Dan Dan noodles were rich, spicy, and absolutely addictive. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better.

I visited this restaurant with my husband and son for the first time , I had high hopes for a peaceful family evening. Unfortunately, the start of our visit was quite disappointing. Our drinks took more than 20 minutes to arrive, and a couple of the food items we ordered never made it to the table at all. To make matters worse, we witnessed some of the restaurant’s staff arguing on the floor — something no guest should have to see. It was unsettling and made us feel quite uncomfortable. But in the midst of all this, one person truly stood out: our waitress, Phantom. She handled the chaos with such grace and calmness that it genuinely impressed me. The way she de-escalated the situation right in front of us was nothing short of elegant. Phantom was kind, attentive, and sincerely apologetic about the delays and the commotion. She checked on us often, made sure we still felt taken care of, and brought a warmth to the table that reminded me of the hospitality back home.

I happened to come across this place while trying to wait out traffic. I had no expectations but was blown away. As a single diner, my interactions with the bar staff (Cherry) were amazing. The kimchi Martini was the perfect savory drink. The food, the beef skewer in particular was fabulous

Yelp
Singing Tiger is a new karaoke bar and tapas bar that recently opened up inside Hotel Nell, in the Union District! The menu offers both cold and hot apps, skewers, buns, rice bowls, noodles, and desserts. Try their melon nigiri, the skewers (which comes 2 per order - focus on the shrimp and the wagyu short rib!), the baos, and their noodle dishes (such as the Smoked Duck Shoyu Ramen or the Taiwanese Sesame Noodles). There are 3 themed karaoke rooms - the dragon, the tiger, and the snake! Don't bring too big of a party, as a room fits about 6-8 people. Making advance reservations for the room is easily done by their online system or by giving Singing Tiger a call. You can try your luck by just walking in, too. Staff were friendly and welcoming! There are also plenty of parking in the area. +themed karaoke rooms +Asian fusion apps +online reservations recommended +street parking available

Yelp
My friends and I had a great time at Singing Tiger. It's a little different than other karaoke bars in that the room was cozy and stylish instead of the typical flashing lights and leather chairs. I actually loved it! Their karaoke search system was also easier to use than other places. The food was by far the best! The restaurant was hard to find because it's located in the basement of Hotel Neill. I would recommend they put some signage out front. My other suggestions would be to put some sound proofing in the rooms (we were able to hear the other parties when we weren't singing) and to put a screen in the back of the room (where the couches are) so our butts weren't facing our friends when we looked at the screen. Other than that, I found the customer service to be excellent!

Yelp
The Singing Tiger has awakened and it is the place to be! Can't comment on the food but the menu looks bomb. What I can comment on is the drink program - sending me back to Shinjuku nights. A must - the kimchi martini. A cocktail that cures your belly at the same time. The whole drink menu is so creative and intentional. I always worry if new joints like this will come off as cheesy, but Singing Tiger is NOT that. It's genuine, adopting the culture and elements of Japanese flair. So come in, sing, drink and hang your note on the tree and relieve yourself of some bad energy. Big fan. Kanpai!

Yelp
Such a fun time! Phantom took such good care of our group in one of the karaoke rooms. Good food, good drinks, and great karaoke :)
