"A restaurant with a contemporary, urban and industrial feel, a black-inspired decor, and a name that has evolved from “si no fós” – a type of public bench where those without work in the past would sit and congregate. Excellent cuisine featuring high-quality ingredients and a Mediterranean influence, including beef from the “LyO” company in Galicia and superb fish direct from the auction in Blanes. The à la carte includes special sections dedicated to tinned goods and spreads, classic dishes, vegetarian options, offal, rice and pasta, the grill etc). Tasting menu options are also available." - Michelin Inspector

The tomato 🍅 salad is one of a kind, I want to know the secret of it, spectacular! Tartar was interesting, but not my favourite. Old very mature cow steak was awesome. Happy we visited, it’s a highlight of a day in Girona. The vibes are nice, it’s casual and cool with rock n roll music and open kitchen. *Booked online (be ready to attach a card, then confirm through a link in SMS).

Sinofos restaurant/Gerona, ordered baked oysters, not bad, fatty, rich, in sauce, in general liked, then, bread with tomato, fresh, but tasteless, pitied tomatoes and after we choosed two appetisers, one of them was out of the menu, so ended with another option, one from tomatoes, tomatoes are not bad, farm growned, but the portion is very small, 5-6 small slices of tomatoes, sprinkled breadcrumbs on top, did not like it, because I did not try the taste because of the small portion, the second appetiser is from octopus, cooked well, at least the octopus is chewed, there is nothing else to say. The second dish is a signature Sinofos burger with fries, before ordering they did not ask the degree of roasting of the cutlet and for some reason they brought by default rare, which was immediately reported to the waiter, there was no reaction, waiter just shrugged the shoulders. We didn't finish eating the burger, and strangely in this level of the restaurant, the administrator had to come right away and clarify what they didn't like about the burger and how they could fix it. Minced meat with veins and a small bone came across. The burger was not finished. Silence in general from restaurant stuff, the burger bun is not bad. And the last dish that was ordered is LYO meat steak, 1-1.3 kg, immediately specified the degree of roasting - medium, but for some reason they brought medium rare. Complete request ignorance. The steak didn't impress me either, before ordering a steak I clarified that a piece of meat was definitely being chewed. Also, the meat was not finished and left behind, which also did not follow any reaction from the restaurant, you can see that owners are sharpening of making money and on people’s flow. We didn't stay for dessert, in general, my honest rating is 3+ and for the service and the attempt to make a service, by the way, when we made a reservation, we ordered a certain table for two, upon arrival it was already given to somebody else, not professionally, the coffee was served warm, which was already alarming. The Michelin star was rather given out not for food, but for trying to get closer to the ideal. The total bill came out to 275 euros, 10 euros I included in the bill as a tip for service, a total of 285 and 275 euros are wasted. The guys need to improve and take into account every stage of the work of a restaurant of this level and not chase money if they want to develop further. I invited my wife for yesterdays evening to celebrate our 20 years of marriage and both of us was truly disappointed.

We had such a great dinner. Everything was full of flavor and so well made. The cogollos, col, and puerro were incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and each one had its own unique touch. I loved all the vegetable dishes on the menu. The steak was cooked just right, so tender it melted like butter, rich, and packed with flavor. But the best part? The tarta de queso. Easily the best I’ve ever had.

Google
Great food, I can see why they got their Michelin star. Service a bit lacking, too laid back, might be just a cultural thing. Roasted leek, was followed by corn ribs, never seen them before but delicious. The steak was a monster, perfectly cooked and moreish. Definitely worth a visit. Very crowded, so do book. Good value, 5 courses with dessert, coffee and wine for 145.

The degustation menu was a culinary delight. The T-bone steak was cooked to perfection and the accompanying dishes were equally impressive. The open kitchen provided a fascinating glimpse into the chefs' work. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The only downside of the visit was the coffee. Surely, they could invest in a better coffee machine?

Booked based on reviews and the fact this was very close to our hotel. Restaurant has a lovely interior and we loved how intimate it felt. Waiters were a mix of people who were delighted to see you and others who just felt like they couldn't be bothered. Food was good, although they let us order way too much...and we asked if we needed that much for two of us. Wine was delicious and overall we had a lovely time...but it feels like a Michelin star restaurant that has lost it's mojo. Also not being able to get to the toilet for 10 mins because one of the chefs was in there, wasn't a great experience. Not sure I'd visit again.

Casual, fun atmosphere. Go ready to interact with people nearby. The food is conducive to that - fun, interesting, accessible dishes that are conversation starters. We had an amazing fried hake sandwich, perfect burger, massive aged steak, fries, beef tartar. The sweetbreads were larger portions - I’m a big offal fan - but my theory is the gas torch they used to finish it gave it an off taste. Amazing cheesecake and service. Definitely coming back!

Google
We had an amazing meal at SinoFos. The beef tartar was delightful. The meat is top-notch quality and you can take it! The Iberian pork steak was tender and juicy. Hake head was ok. All the grilled vegetables sides were great. But the cheesecake....omg it's unlike anything I've tasted. It's light and airy with plenty of egg flavor. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this place

Yelp
Very good restaurant with reasonable prices, great service, amazing food and drinks. This restaurant is in the Michelin list and is a very good place to visit when in Girona!
