Overall I think it's a place worth to visit once. Taste of the Nasi Lemak is quite well balanced. The chicken wing is hard. Cod fish hor fan was a bit cold but the taste is decent. If you have craving for local dishes and want to dine in a nice environment, it's worth to try.

Decent place for dessert. The teh tarih is ok but not worth the $5. The pandan layered cake is not to bad, so slightly sweet. There are many local flavoured sweet cakes but they ain’t for me. So if you have a sweet tooth you may want to check out the cake selections. They do serve mains as well but I think the shops across the road are more exciting!

We went at around 3pm and spent 10mins waiting and searching for a service staff as no one was at sight. Barista was on break so no coffee for us. Our Order: 1. muah chee salad $13 - something special fried muah chee topping on salad. probably better with croutons or sth other than seaweed. 2. crab bee hoon $18 - soup taste great 👍 , serving is small. 3. nasi lemak $22 - (not for 2 as i saw in other reviews) maybe the menu is different or has changed. This is for one. Price is expensive for a nasi lemak. I had comparable elsewhere. 4. gula melaka cake - Taste good. Cake combination has resemblance to Bengawan’s kaya cake but on the better side in terms of cake texture. Sinpopo is more suitable for drinks and dessert - catch up with friends. Service staff need to speak louder under mask as we cant really hear you with the background noise.

Food tastes good but serving size can be improve. Same comment from my friends who doesn't eat a lot. Nice place to hangout. Would go back again to try their pastries...

Nasi Lemak set for 2 is must try - you get to try most if not all of their sides. Rice is free flow so if you need more of it, you can request from the staff, though they do not seem to be very generous with it. Crab Beehoon was a comfort food too. Maoshanwang cake is moist and delicious. However, slightly expensive so my frugal Asian parents most likely will not come back again. Overall, an interesting experience for someone looking to enjoy local dishes in a new light, or for tourists.

Had the Nasi Lemak for two. The Nasi Lemak sambal was good and so was the Maling chips but the other dishes didn't work. My son had the Grilled pork chops which he liked. The best items were the desserts. The Philippino waiter was friendly but the other staff looks like you are bothering him.

A quaint little cafe that specialises in local cuisine with a modern twist. Friend recommended this place and I visited with him even though I wasn't particularly craving Asian food that day; and I'm glad I did. We had the Nasi Lemak set for 2, which came with pork cutlet, fishballs in sambal, and a selection of their side dishes (luncheon crisps, har cheong gai wings, rojak, nyonya curry with potatoes) served as small plates to accompany the rice. The rice was fragrant and cooked to a peranakan style, yet wasn't too intense and had a somewhat 'sophisticated' flavour to it. Everything was delicious and at a price of $28 for 2, this was a steal considering the locale and that the rice and sambal was free flow. I also had the crab wantons which, while expensive at $1/piece, had actual pieces of sweet crabmeat in them that worked well with the sweet chilli sauce they were served with. For drinks, I was recommended the Sng Muay Pop which was exactly as the waiter described, cooling and refreshing. It's an interesting take on the traditional iced kalamansi drink you can get at coffee shops as it adds sprite to the mix which introduced a citrusy flavour and carbonation that made the beverage that much better. Finally, I finished off with their 'most famous cake', the Gula Melaka. It's sweet but not overdone and was moist in the middle, layered with gula melaka fudge and sponge cake. It's been a while since I awarded a 5-star rating to any eatery but this place definitely deserved it. Service was great as well, despite the fact that at its peak, only 2 waiters serviced the restaurant, including having to conduct temperature checks for those waiting to enter and enforce safe distancing measures. I will definitely be returning, although with a reservation next time.
