As someone who travels 12 months a year and needs to get work done, finding a good spot with space is key. Sip Cafe is right in the middle of a quiet park in Boston, which is perfect for escaping the city noise. They have lots of tables, both inside and a nice, quiet outdoor area, which is great if you want to sit with your laptop. The only real issue was the internet, they either don't have it, or it wasn't working when we were there. But everything else was great. The cashier was a Colombian girl who gave excellent service; she was very nice. The bagel with salmon was soft and warm, just right. And the coffee was fantastic, it was one of the few places we found that offered something different than a regular Americano. The price for everything was also fair. This is a top spot for a good coffee and a quiet break.

The ambiance is the draw, and it is so worth it. This garden enclave in the midst is such a busy city. Priceless. I enjoyed a Cappuccino, and the kind barista brought it out to me, as I curled up on the bench with the throw pillows and cozy blankets. A birdy came to say “hi!” :-)

Google
Great garden atmosphere and available public restrooms (always nice when walking in the city). My only complaint is the default minimum tip on the payment screen is 15%. This is only the minimum for sit down restaurants where servers get low hourly rate and make it up with tips. I’m not going through the hassle of inputting a custom tip. So no tip. At my regular coffee spot I always tip. The default tips for a single coffee $4.50 coffee come up as 0.50. Basically 10%. So I always tip them. But I’m never tipping a coffee server when they are asking 15, 20 or 25%.

Perfect Financial District refuge! Located right in the heart of Post Office Square, this spot became our saving grace during an unexpected downpour. My niece and I ducked in and ended up having a lovely time - she got a smoothie while I went with the dirty chai, which hit the spot on a rainy morning. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer excellent people-watching opportunities, especially entertaining when you’re dry inside watching business folks navigate the weather outside. The atmosphere is conducive to productivity too - plenty of seating and a quiet enough environment that I could easily see myself setting up with a laptop for a work session. Great central location if you need a comfortable spot to wait out Boston weather or just want a quality beverage break while exploring the Financial District. The staff was friendly and the drinks were well-made. Definitely a solid choice for both quick stops and longer stays.

I found this randomly and I loved it! It’s a nice surprise in a very lovely area. People were all friendly and the espresso was good (not amazing, but still good). Plenty of seats inside and outside. I’ll surely go back.

Sip is a delightful destination. It's quite popular, convenient to the Financial District in Post Office Square, not far from anything, really (this IS Boston)... Not having lunched there, I don't have much to say about the food, but they do have a beguiling assortment of goodies near the register, and are quick on the beverage orders. The main attraction for us is the location and situation, occupying the corner of a beautiful miniature version of Columbus Park, a bit reminiscent of Bryant Park in NY without the insanity, a bejeweled green space oasis surrounded by towers of glass, stone and concrete. It's a really terrific experience, especially on a nice day...and they are KIND here. I accidentally dumped an Iced Latte, and they happily replaced it without even being asked. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
I ordered an iced latte and it was so good. They have a beautiful inside and an even better outdoor seating area. I loved that some of their indoor tables had games which made for a fun activity while drinking my coffee. Would definitely come back!

Google
Sip Café is placed in a beautiful little park in the middle of the city. I got a salted caramel latte and an almond croissant. The latte was excellent as the drinks syrups were not so overbearing that I couldn’t taste the espresso. Very well done. The croissant tasted fresh and the almond really was able to shine through nicely.

Yelp
I have passed by this cafe so many times and always wanted to stop but didn't. Today, I am glad I did! Pretty busy for a Sat in Post Office Square and I was glad to see it. They have a great menu with a variety of stuff along with speciality drinks. I had the pumpkin spice latte made with real pumpkin. This is the first time I've had one like this and IT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. I even asked them to make a little less sweet and they obliged no problem at all. It was perfect. They have a lovely seating area outside with blankets and (I think) heaters-fire pits. I will def be back but next time it will be to have an alcoholic beverage. They have some pretty good ones on tap, including my all time favorite cider--Downeast. Till next time!

Yelp
I walked into Sip Cafe on a Friday evening and there were plenty of seating. I ordered a large, salted caramel latte and it was ready within a reasonable time. The cup was larger than I expected which came to be a nice surprise. The coffee was lukewarm, so I was able to drink it promptly. Although the coffee was salted caramel flavor, it is not overwhelmingly sweet. I enjoyed it quite a lot. The cafe had a nice atmosphere giving a really cozy feel. I also enjoyed how late they opened as it was a great place to chill and kill time. I would come back to try their other items if I am in the area.

Yelp
!!!Wow This place is WoW . The cold brew is amazing ! The place is super friendly. The service is friendly and welcoming . The overall vibe is friendly.

Yelp
Sip is a cozy cafe for studying with their free wifi and abundance of seating. In terms of food, we tried their Italian Sandwich and it was ok. The salami and banana peppers overwhelmed most of the other flavors. Their Bufala Mozzarella sandwich was really good though. It was an elevated caprese sandwich, but the buffalo mozzarella was far richer than other cheeses. Simply amazing. Their Salted Caramel Latte was great too. The Salted Caramel flavor definitely came through and they have plenty of non-dairy milks you can opt for. Their service is fine, the food & drinks came out quickly and the baristas seemed nice. Overall, Sip Cafe is definitely one of the better cafes in Boston.

Yelp
Sip Café has some of the best lattes I've ever had. If I had to pick a favorite spot for coffee in Boston, it's Sip. They also have the cutest outdoor seating when it's warm enough outside, and have fires and heaters even if it's a chillier day which is fantastic since there isn't a ton of seating inside. However, I think their salads aren't anything too special. The Greek Salad was supposed to gave artichokes on it which is why I ordered it, but it didn't have a single one which was disappointing. They are super pricey salads for mostly just being plain lettuce without any interesting flavors.

Yelp
Im so surprised and upset that I've lived and worked within a few blocks of this park and Sip and never seen it/been in. How have I avoided this for decade++?? Anywho it's stunningly beautiful to sit outside, and is going to be my new lunch break spot. The macaroons were a bit heavy to me and I probably wouldn't get them again (I got 2-raspberry and dark chocolate) but the iced latte with oat milk is very very nice. And they have /beer/wine! So definitely a lunch break spot on a rough day too (for legal reasons that's a joke lmaooooo but what a great place for any time to stop by at!!) the folks working there are also pretty friendly! Oh and they have wifi.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Great oat latte! And they use real yogurt for their parfait, not the fat free artificially sweetened stuff.
google avatar

Yelp
Great lunch spot for FiDi. Great prices and great food. Sandwiches salad and beers as well as coffee. Outside seating areas. Staff is friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect spot to sit on a beautiful day and enjoy a refreshing drink or pastry and watch the world go by in the adjoining park.

Yelp
This spot looks like a cute lil greenhouse. Great nitro cold brew and iced lattes. Friendly service. Will be stopping here again to get caffed up!

Yelp
Had the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella sandwich. Mama mia! Incredibly delish. Sat outside in the sun with my sandwich and a tea.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I really loved my time at this place. This cafe looks like it's in a greenhouse situated in the middle of a park in downtown Boston. The menu was pretty straightforward and staff friendly. I ordered a ginger latte and a turkey sandwich and oh boy they were delicious. I've heard of lavender lattes, ube lattes etc but was my first time trying ginger latte and it did not disappoint, packed with that good third wave coffee and sweet sweet ginger flavor. The turkey sandwich, though a common order, was also melt in the mouth good. Probably best coffee place I've been to out of three during this trip to Boston.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with park views while still in the city. I had a chai and a croissant for $12. The only negative, is if you're here for a while, there is no direct bathroom and the day I came had bad weather.

Matthew S.

Yelp
In the cutest little park area you can possibly imagine. Food is fairly good and not super expensive but you go for the location

CC J.

Yelp
Stopped by to get my son a sparkling water. This order was seemingly below the fashionista barista, so instead of simply ringing me up, he pointed me to a register at the end of the counter. I waited at that register while he proceeded to take two orders that met his pay grade. I finally tracked down a lovely employee that happily rang me up. Not sure what this guy's deal is but I will avoid this place like the plague. I also have a couple of clients on Post Office Sq that I'll share this story with.

Yelp
Held our annual office EndofSummer event here in the courtyard. They put up out firm name and ripped off lounge chairs, tables and high tops with food and exquisite cocktails.

Yelp
I have walked by Sip many times, but have never taken a moment to go inside, so one day when I had no morning meetings; I decided to stop in and grab breakfast. I ordered a latte and avocado toast, and then grabbed an available table while I waited. There were more people than I expected, mostly people who looked like they were having casual work meetings there, but they also had a tent attached with some extra "indoor" seating so that helped. My oat milk latte was perfect, and the avocado toast was pretty good. I could have used a little more salt and maybe a slightly thinner piece of toast, but the roasted tomato was a nice touch. One of the things once missed a lot in the past year has been a coffee shop vibe, so this really filled that for me. I'd come again, and might even try for drinks after work one evening.
google avatar

Adina S.

Yelp
This was a cool place to grab a drink. The exterior is really cool and almost looks like a greenhouse. I ordered the chai, which was decent, but could have been a bit more flavorful. It looked like they also had a selection of wine and beer, so I could see this being a good spot for after work.
google avatar

Marissa R.

Yelp
I was torn between 3 and 4 stars for Sip. The coffee is pretty good, but slightly pricey. They do have dairy-free options, which is nice. I got an almond milk iced mocha, extra sweet. The selling point for this place is definitely the location! It's beautiful, clean, and right inside Post Office Square. It's peaceful sitting on the tables and just enjoying the sunshine on a nice Boston day.

Susan K.

Yelp
Perfect, hot chocolate! Not sweet and saccharine, but the real deal. Perfect warm up on a bitter day.

Yelp
Nice breakfast and lunch spot in scenic Post Office Square. The casual dining spot is located in a charming glass buliding with lovely natural daylight and an excellent spacious outdoor patio area. I enjoy the warm drinks such as ginger latte, tumeric tonic, etc. Good selection of breakfast and lunch items. I like their chicken, beef, and ham sandwich options and their soups in the cooler months. Service is friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
A hidden gem in the middle of the city... Beautiful gardens and food - If you're lucky, you'll hear an electronic guitar being played and catch a wild turkey cross your path. The veggie quiche and steel cut oatmeal were both delicious.
google avatar

Martyna F.

Yelp
The natural light and space is gorgeous!! The service was great!! Amazing food and my latte was great.

Yelp
Sip Cafe is a bustling, snug coffeehouse housed in a glass gazebo in Post Office Square. Its sprawling menu offers sandwiches, salads, soups, and a variety of coffee and tea beverages. Because of its snug interior, indoor seating can be sparse at times, especially during lunch hours. They do offer outdoor seating, though! Their ginger latte is a must-try! I love getting it iced and with soy or almond milk. It's one of the best lattes I've ever had and is definitely a go-to beverage whenever I visit!! I love the fragrant spiciness that comes through. My friend adores their Nocciobello latte, which is a Nutella latte topped with orange zest. The last time I was here, I tried their hummus sandwich and their chipotle sweet potato soup combo. The hummus sandwich was simple, delicious, and fresh. The sweet potato soup was definitely unique! I loved the slight kick it had from the chipotle but I was hoping for some more textures (topped with potato chips or fried onions?!). Nevertheless, it was a filling and tasty lunch. :- )

Michelle D.

Yelp
Really cute green house like spot! Love the relaxing vibe and space. Coffee and pastry is good too.

Yelp
George Howell coffee. Competent employees. Reasonable prices. A nice alternative to SBux.

Yelp
In all my years in Boston, I've never been here. I saw this area go from a crummy park to the well-known people watching spot that it is today. I remember when they put up these buildings for this coffee shop. I met a friend here the other day. It's cute inside. Small. Intimate but LOUD. I wouldn't recommend holding a professional meeting inside that small glass room. It gets loud. But, there's air conditioning which is crucial for me so that was nice. Coffee is served black - you put in your own stuff at the stations on either side. That's fine by me. Prices are, well they're ok. This is Boston. You can't beat the people watching here. Also lookout for those little birds flying around outside. They will attack your muffin with you sitting right there. Another reason to stay inside!

Colette R.

Yelp
Visited Boston for work. Had some time prior to my meetings. Perfect day to enjoy good coffee and a breakfast sandwich in this lovely place. Plenty of natural light, outlets and workspaces.

Yelp
Came on a Friday at 12:57 PM and it was closed even though their hours said they were open at 7:30 am - 8:00 pm. Very disappointed considering we traveled really far to come try it. Will not be coming back.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
I've been to Sip several times now, and I can't get myself to like this place. Everything looks so great in theory, but everything turns out to be lackluster. Their chai latte lacks the boldness and spiciness that I'd find elsewhere. In one instance, it was luke-warm instead of hot. It tasted like they only added about half of the chai tea that they should have added, then diluted it with too much milk. I couldn't detect any hint of ginger in the ginger latte. If I blindly tasted it, there is absolutely no way I'd mention anything about the advertised ginger or pepper. If I see "ginger and black pepper", I'm imagining a peppery spiced drink that burns the back of my throat with a rich ginger spice... all I tasted here was coffee and milk. The last thing I tried was the worst: the Autumn Harvest Latte. This is advertised to contain cinnamon, ginger, and clove. I didn't taste any of the first two, and perhaps too much of the last. It tasted like what I'd imagine a musty, old book tastes like. To be unfortunately blunt, it was gross. I couldn't finish it. I ended up throwing it out. To give them the benefit of the doubt, something may have gone horribly wrong in the production of my beverage, and that isn't what it normally tastes like. After being disappointed by all three drinks I've tried here, I can't justify coming back again. The staff is super polite, it's a great location, and the menu *looks* very nice, but the drinks just don't deliver.

Yelp
Sip Cafe is the glass structure located on a corner of the Post Office Square park. The interior was deceptively larger than I has assumed from the outside, as they have a few tables (maybe 8?) for those who may wish to dine within. Sandwiches, soups, salads are offered, however, my DC opted for the daily quiche, snagging the last piece of the $5.25 bacon spinach quiche - and this was at 11:30am! The other savory option was already sold out, so I went with the vegetable quiche option (squash roasted tomato) for $5.35. Both arrived with a small salad on the side, a touch overdressed. To fill out my meal, I also had a cup of butternut squash with apple soup for under $3. The quiche arrived first, so I inquired about the missing soup which, it turns out, they had erroneously packed to go. I was glad to see them using a spoon to retrieve the bread from the baggie instead of their bare hands as they poured out a fresh serving for me. The quiche made for a nice light meal. The soup was okay, though not as sweet as I had hoped, being more a savory sort..

Yelp
Cafe in park,Ben going a couple days a week for awhile at lunch really good soups and coffee
google avatar

Cerena C.

Yelp
Love their coffee but from what I've tried, their tea lattes are the shining star of the menu. The red chili latte has a great kick and the autumn harvest tea latte has all the perfect spices. The nocciobello latte w/ orange zest - amazing hot and cold. And as it is the season for pumpkin spice lattes, get it here! They use actual pumpkin, which you can taste in the dregs at the bottom of the cup. The natural flavor is so much more earthy and wholesome. As for breakfast food, I recommend the breakfast sandwiches over the quiche, although what's nice about the quiche is that it comes on a bed of spinach.
google avatar

Edward W.

Yelp
I've been a regular customer for over 6 years. I liked their iced green tea. It's not as minty as the one at Starbucks or bitter as the one at Dunkie's. Their scones are very good, not dry and buttery. Their mixed greens salad with grilled chicken is also really good with almonds, green apple bits, and a honey mustard dressing. The employees are friendly and nice.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
This little coffee shop in the post office square is so beautiful in its location and coffee art. In the summer time they open all the glass doors so that the green trees and flowers are right there to look at! Fast service and always get the order right!
google avatar

Neha M.

Yelp
such a cute cafe! That is what drew me in for sure. The Pumpkin Spice latte is what I had ordered but it did not have a Pumpkin taste to it at all. **Update: I guess I was misinformed when I was in the cafe that day but breakfast sandwiches are only $4... I may swing by next time I am in town to give it a try and an updated review!

Rodney S.

Yelp
Good menu, food, atmosphere and service, albeit the prices are kinda high. I had the Italian for lunch. The bread abd cold cuts were awesome!

Mary S.

Yelp
I used to LOVE Sip. I'd come multiple times a week for coffee and lunch and never had a bad experience. As of this week however they've raised their prices significantly -- to the point that they've lost me as a customer. My order, a plain old medium iced coffee, used to be $3.25; a fair price for iced coffee. I came in today and placed the same order and was charged $4.82! $4.82! I couldn't believe it, over a $1.50 increase. I was so appalled that I thought it was an error, but the prices have been updated on the menu. On what planet does nearly $5 for a plain iced coffee make sense? I understand that businesses do need to raise their prices every so often, but I've never seen a business with such drastic, ludicrous raises overnight! They recently built an outdoor deck and added beer and wine so that might be part of it, but I'd take reasonably priced coffee over that any day. I will NOT be coming back, and neither will my coworkers. Bad decision on their part!
google avatar

Stephanie Q.

Yelp
I hate to be an ass but the experience I had was blah. I walked in at 1030am, hoping to grab a breakfast sandwich, and they had none. So I moved to plan B, order a lunch sandwich. I decided to get the mozzarella sandwich with prosciutto (extra $1.50) and of course they forgot to put the prosciutto. They had 2 kinds of drip coffee, a normal one and a featured one. I decided to get the featured one, they were nice enough to let me sample a little of it before ordering. And then they forgot to give me my coffee. I had to remind them about it.... I know they had good intentions here, everyone was really nice, but I was disappointed that 1)my order was messed up 2) they forgot to give me my coffee until I asked them.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Hands down, the best cappuccino in Boston. (Their artsy pours only sweeten the deal.) The staff is friendly and willing to take the extra step to make you smile. Cool ambiance and they always have fresh cut flowers, which I love. Decent pasty/sandwich selection considering the size of the place.
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe in a park, located in Boston- I personally loved the ambiance. Great place to simply relax and enjoy the view from the window or scenery outside. Awesome coffee and nice menu selection!
google avatar

Robert Y.

Yelp
So glad that this place is a stone's throw from the new office. Two weeks in and the $3 cortado here is the best coffee I've had in Boston by a mile. Haven't tried the food, but 5* for coffee alone!
google avatar

Yelp
I have always preferred the 'mom and pop' coffee shops over the Duncan's and Starbucks. SIP immediately enticed me! SIP is located amidst Post Office Sq., and is surrounded by lush trees, shrubs, and flowers. The shop has a 'green house' vibe to it, that makes it undeniably charming!!! The barista menu had many different tea lattes to choose from (my fave!), and I went with a non-fat Chai. The tea was creamy and just spicy enough. It was pretty darn good!!!!! It was like 'Christmas in a Cup', and it made me happy. I wanted to return the next morning to try the Brie and grilled pineapple Sammy, but was sad to find SIP was closed for a private party. Next time! SIP, I am a fan!

Debra W.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place! Such a great atmosphere and the soup, sandwiches and coffee is EXCELLENT! Just gives me a good feeling being there.
google avatar

Ben L.

Yelp
Went here on opening day and really enjoyed it. Fantastic sandwich, great pastries, nicely designed setting and all topped off with an artisanal attention to detail when pulling my espresso. I can't wait to see this place with the square in bloom and the windows open. Definitely a place I could stop at for breakfast or lunch almost every day; and when the outdoor seating weather is here I can't imagine a better place in Boston to sit and enjoy the juxtaposition of good food, city settings, and the little patches of nature captured in parks like Post Office square.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
Some coffee shops thrive off the location, and Sip Cafe is one of those shops. Located right in downtown Boston's Post Office Square, an adorable park compliments the experience of enjoying a coffee. This shop thrives in the warm season, but thanks to a loyal customer base, they do just fine all year round. I bought a small (8 oz.) coffee on my first visit. Sometimes a small is 8 oz, I get it, especially when the coffee is quality, which it was. They offer a drip coffee as well as a Daterra Southern Italian espresso, which is pretty, pretty nice. Of course, they have teas and other beverages too, as well as a great selection of tasty edibles if you're hungry. Go in, get something nice, and take it outside. Sit in the park and watch the city move and breathe around you. I do that on every occasion, as the indoor scene is a hard to adjust to.
google avatar

May H.

Yelp
This is probably my one of my favorite go to places for vegetarian options. I stopped by because I was hungry and wanted to try something new. So I ordered a Hot Apple Cider with a vegetarian sandwich that has hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes and onions which was delicious. The staff was friendly, received friendly service. Definitely recommend customers to try their vegetarian options.

Yelp
An easy choice when in the Financial District. I've been here twice now when I had to do some errands in the neighborhood. The inside is very small and usually packed during the business hours. Both times I took my coffee to go and sat outside in PO Square. The have a good assortment of coffee drinks, some pastries, and teas. The service was quick both times I went although there was a line. I enjoy their drip coffee as well as iced Americano. The almond croissant is also tasty.

Yelp
Super cute! Great location! Yummy drip coffee and breakfast sandwich. I got spinach instead of mushrooms or ham. Plenty of outside seating to enjoy the beautiful weather we had. Staff was super sweet as well. Loved this place!
