I got a plant-based cinnamon roll. It was absolutely delicious. It was big enough to divide into thirds and enjoy it over a few days. The lady who waited on me was not friendly all. She made me feel like I was interrupting her and bothering her. This was Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2025.

Had their mushroom chai latte it was pretty good, the vibe is actually pretty chill, I liked it, however the person manning the cashier seemed to not be the friendliest. But it’s ok maybe it’s just not her day. Would def come For a sip of coffee.

We are in search of the perfect cup of coffee-focusing on cappuccino. One in our party ordered flat white. Perfect milk temperature- taste a bit bitter - lovely and cozy atmosphere with lots of seating possibilities. We did not order anything to eat - but the baked goods smelled lovely. I would definitely come back here !! Excellent coffee !!

You really can’t go wrong here! A sweet, inviting, quaint little coffee shop nestled in the heart of historic Makawao town. Such a fun variety of drinks, you’ll want yo try something new every time… I know I do! Make sure to pair your drink with one of the yummy pastries. It’s a duo to die for🤤 Love starting my mornings off at Vida. That’s when I know it’s going to be a good day!!

Had the chai tea latte--wasn't my style. Smooth, not too sweet, and strong spice. Chill spot, friendly staff. Good place to get work done with their free wifi

We went on a Sunday morning after realizing Espresso Mafia is closed on Sunday. The chai tea latte had no spice, sweetness or flavor. Had I not ordered with a shot of espresso, it would have been warm milk. I wish that I would have tasted prior to leaving but it was too hot and was taking it home to enjoy. Otherwise, I would have mentioned to the staff. Lesson learned. Stop ordering chai from this place. It's isn't good. The two staff were busy, not rude but not overly friendly.

Hidden little coffe spot. There are tables inside and outside. There are some yummy looking pastries (we did not have any but they looked good). The gals working were not friendly, but also not rude. The coffee was made quickly. Not much of a flavor. Coffee was not very strong (almost like they forgot to put the shot of espresso in). The largest they have is a 16oz. I drank about half and tossed the rest. There are a lot of great reviews so maybe it was an "off day". Wont be back but worth trying.

Charming little spot in Makawao! Had the ceremonial hot matcha and it was custom made by the lovely barista's we added there turmeric and macnut milk it was smooth, flavorful, and just what I needed. The lemon lavender scone was a lovely surprise--light, not too sweet, and paired perfectly with the matcha. Cozy vibe, cute cafe, and a great treat stop when you're upcountry. Parking is located at the lot around corner. Will definitely be back!

Love this place!! Such an inviting atmosphere and the perfect place to cozy up in with your favorite drink. Great selection of deliciously unique beverages, using the highest quality ingredients. You can really taste the love poured into every drop. The latest addition of refreshing sparkling mocktails really hits the spot on a hot Maui day! And you really can't go wrong with the locally made selection of yummy pastries. I would choose this place time and time again.

So good my family and I came back twice! The outside seating is very nice and offers plenty of shade. The workers are both friendly and helpful. And the drinks themselves are very well-made. Everything my family sipped was good, but I honestly cannot recommend the lavender latte enough. It was simply delicious. The flavors were balanced and perfectly complimented one another to make a near-perfect drinking experience. The baked goods were also great (the banana bread being my favorite). This is most definitely a worthy stop in Makawao!

We had just finished a heavy lunch in Kula and were on our way to hike Twin Falls Trail. We were feeling the food coma kick in, so we left it up to Yelp to find us a coffee place for a boost of caffeine! We ended up in a quaint country town of Makawao. Honestly this place wasn't on our itinerary, but I wish I could have spent more time here...so many shops and local businesses to check out! We parked along the side of the road and walked a short distance to Vida. What an adorable picturesque little coffee shop! The interior was open and airy. Great friendly service from the young ladies who greeted us with friendly smiles as well. Order up: Iced Neopolitan Cold Brew (had fresh strawberry bits in it...yummy!). Glad we stumbled across this place! What a great find! Aloha & mahalo till next time...

Went for a beetroot latte while shopping and my niece, visiting from London, accidentally forgot her phone. Lucky for us someone picked it up and turned it in. How lucky was that! So I drove up the next morning to collect it and ordered another bright pink beetroot latte (my fave) along with a delicious chocolate croissant and gave a substantial tip to say a huge thank you to the staff for helping us. This isn't my first review of this amazing coffee shop, I always drop in when I'm in the area, for the fantastic coffee n pastries and good vibes.

IMHO This is a hidden gem behind Sherri Reeve Gallery. Never knew it existed before until my daughters found it. Their father wasn't feeling well, a little under-the-weather, and the nice lady behind the counter suggested a "grab & go" cold pressed health shot for him. This is a bright and colorful establishment that also serves pastries! It is a very welcoming environment, and the service helpful and friendly! Next time I visit, I will order a yummy latte for myself!

Chai is not the best. Very watery. Matcha with agave as a sweetener, really good. Seating is tight if you are there when it's reserved for the restaurant next door.

Caffeine-free options!!!! That are good!!! We were immediately drawn in by the tropical decor & fun drink menu. Vida is beyond the main street, in an alley between Tiger Eye Salon & Collections. Quick service. We stopped in on a weekday afternoon and experienced little to no wait, though the cafe was nearly full. Their menu definitely appeals to the hippy crowd, seeing that many items include herbs or superfoods, or have vegan/gluten-free options. ROSE LATTE: Real rose petals in every sip, for better or for worse. Their blend is heavily aromatic-- tastes like actual rose, not at all like floral syrup. Their entryway also offers coffee paraphernalia for sale, like coffee pots, coasters, and roasted beans.

Located down a short alleyway across from Komoda Bakery, this small coffee shop is typical of Makawao shopping in that it is pretty pricey. What isn't usual is the friendly service and healthier pastry choices. They have gluten free and vegan donuts, muffins and breads. Their drink menu is extensive and really yummy. We chose the lavender and chai lattes, great, and the deep rose lemonade, too flowery tasting. We also had the chocolate gluten free and vegan donuts, tasty but a bit dry, and the pumpkin coffee cake which was okay. I am definitely looking forward to when they get the baked goods from their usual bakery back.

Nice cozy spot with friendly staff and great coffee! It's tucked away from the main street and if I lived here...I'd be a regular. Ordered an iced latte with cinnamon and Mt wife had the turmeric Chai latte with almond. Both made perfectly and can't find a thing to complain about. They have an upstairs seating area as well and it's not connected to their building. They do provide wifi so that's a huge plus. We were in Maui on a cruise, rented a car, and decided to just drive. We came to Makawao and it's my kinda town!

So happy that Sip Me is back in Makawao! Rebranded as "Vida", they continue to serve handcrafted coffees, teas, juices, and a variety of delicious pastries! Tried the Lion's Mane latte & Caramel Macchiato, both were good, but what stood out for me was the rose lemonade, immunity wellness shot & "relaxation" juice blend. The flavor of those juices were exceptionally refreshing! Like Sip Me, they can get busy quickly, so be patient! Indoor and outdoor seating is available but limited.

Great local coffee shop in Makawao. They have a variety of coffees as well as add ons. Even those that don't want/like caffeine have something to choose from. They also sell local pastries and have indoor or outdoor seating. Service was friendly and helpful when ordering. There is a huge parking lot just behind it with a walk up some stairs to access the shop. Restrooms are also nearby. For sure a must stop when visiting the town of Makawao.

The Carmel macchiato and spinach and feta croissant were delicious. I would come back to this place if back in the area.

I was a fan of the original Sip Me location, and Vida was just as great (if not better) than the original location - lots of fun coffee flavors and snacks to try, and it offers options for my vegan friends to have when last we went to visit - if you're looking for a great breakfast/snack spot in Makawao, Vida is definitely one to visit - Miguel Morales Photography

Ambience, food selection coffee is amazing. The inside of the shop is so comfortable and if you're gonna stay, be sure and ask them for a cup to let them know it's to go. I highly recommend this place. I went to espresso mafia nothing compared to this place espresso mafia has , cold coffee sorry nice here.. You will not be disappointed with the price and the variety. jojo, the barista was amazing.

This is the cutest coffee shop with amazing staff members and ambiance. While in Maui, I went here at least 3 times because I LOVED the lavender latte. What a treat!! It's located in a cute town and has plenty of outdoors seating with a nice view.

You can get any type of coffee you like here, I had a turmeric latte with oat milk, hubby had a standard latte and both were very good. Lots of nice pastries and interesting seating areas as well. The gluten free pumpkin coffee cake was excellent. The line at 10:30 on a Saturday was long and it took 20 minutes between standing in line and waiting for our order, so don't be in a hurry.

Luckily stumbled our way in after stopping by Komodos across the street. They just reopened in this new spot Nov 3rd. Immediately we were greeted with smiles which matched their bright and cheerful decor. They've got some unique drinks on the menu including non caffeinated latte such as lavender and beet root (?!). I played it safe and went for mocha cold brew--delicious! Plenty of chocolate flavor and not overly sweet. There is plenty of shaded seating outside to read or chat with friends. I would definitely be a regular here if I lived close by.

All around delightful coffee shop. Nice ambiance with a good amount of seating indoors and outdoors. We got an ice latte and a caramel macchiato, both were great. Pastries looked good too but this time only got drinks. Staff and service were kind and pretty quick. When we went on a weekday morning it wasn't very crowded. I would definitely visit again!

This is my favorite coffee shop on Maui I love the organic and cold pressed options, the home made cinnamon bun is the best on the planet! Its a relaxing , welcoming environment to enjoy good treats !

Best Carmel macchiato with 3 shots of espresso. If you are looking for something slightly sweet & has a rich coffee flavor... order this! Also, make sure to tip your barista

I ordered an 8oz latte, the cashier corrected me and placed an order for a flat white (I know everyone's got there own language for coffees, so I won't get into objective definitions here, and I just let it go there....) foam wasn't fine and not creamy, big bubbles and tasted oaty (I ordered whole milk and was reassured it was) customer service on my particular morning from the cashier wasn't pleasant, barista was nice though. I recommend Espresso Mafia for coffee in makawao for sure. Nearby but a little further the best coffee you can get is at Marlow in Kulamalu. Vida does have cool outdoor seating in a cute alley though, so if you're looking to sit and chat and enjoy a space it's a great spot, especially if your not too picky about traditional coffee drinks ;) I'm sure they're specialty drinks a great.

We were strolling this little town, before an appointment when we stopped in for coffee and tea. I stepped up to the counter and ordered the organic chai tea latte and a French Press. We grabbed a seat and waited. Pastries looked good, but we had just had breakfast. My chai tea latte was prepared quickly and very good. However, the french press took much longer than expected. Others came in and received their drinks prior to the French Press being ready. But, once received, it was very good. Relaxing spot to pass the time and sip some hot beverages.

Literally best croissant (Lilikoi) and cappuccino I've ever had. Great funky music. Really kind folks. Stoked to know about this place.

This has been the best coffee I've had on our trip to Maui, the service was quick and friendly even with our large group of seven. The overall visual experience is what sealed the deal on this 5 start experience. The upper level and street level seating was just great and very original from my experience.

Service is ok and place is cute but coffee is not good. Beans are acidic and almond milk watered down. Mainly leaving low starts due to the fact that you are required to give an outrageous tip. There is no option to not tip unless you ask, and your options are 20,25 or 30 percent. Incredible.

I love to try new coffee shops and came here on a recommendation. I got the rose gold latte. And even though they messed up the order the coffee was quite refreshing. It might have been I went in close to closing, but the baristas were cute. Just be prepared to pay about $7-8 for a latte in Maui.

The espresso and baked goods are top notch. The chocolate croissant and chocolate doughnut were unbelievable. Highly recommend.

5-stars for an excellent Americano, delicious homemade seeded cookie, apple cake, butter croissant and everything bagel with cream cheese! Seriously delicious Cute vibe - darling staff. Cool espresso and coffee choices. Nice assortment of baked goods and smoothies and juices. Great seating and convenient location in downtown Makawao. Easy morning street parking - easy to find.

Cutie little laptop hangout style café with a casual, comfortable vibe and unique treats, like guava croissants. Wifi password is loveyoualatte - great place to stop and check your messages if relying on wifi while travelling. I think they really need to get on the oat milk bandwagon here, though, because it doesn't curdle in your hot coffee the way soy does, and is a bit more sustainable than nut milks. I always deduct one star for a café that doesn't have oat. There's a good local vibe here, and I recognize some of the same faces that I saw here last year, including that friendly dude in the cowboy hat with the funny lap dog.

Friendly and prompt service. Cute decor. Great flat white, nicely steamed milk that's still sweet and not too hot, with a nice espresso where you could taste the fruit notes.

This is a update: I returned and ordered a 12 oz iced decaf, double shot, breve latte. (I did not ask for a free drink) The very nice person taking my order asked, "What kind of milk would I like?" I said, "Half and half." They showed me what appeared to be a 16 oz plastic cup for their offered size of iced latte. I explained, please give me a12 oz double shot latte in that cup,and go ahead and charge the normal price. I received a latte, filled to the brim with 1/2& 1/2, and very pale in color, and very, very weak in coffee flavor. I returned to the store, and asked for a second shot for my drink, explaining that it seemed too weak. The very nice barista mentioned it was due to their decaf...I did not mention that they'd somehow missed my 12 oz request. As a customer I thought that if they knew ahead of time that the decaf was weak, they should have compensated for that.... Any way, the redo was drinkable, but the training of the baristas needs to continue, and overall I am still disappointed. On the up side, there were plenty of other customers, appearing to be very happy with the service, coffee and ambiance. So my review here might be well off target. I'd suggest go give it a try, and decide for yourself.

Great customer service and even better coffee! Such an aesthetic coffee shop, they have outside seating which is incredible with the beautiful weather. The colors are so nice as well. I ordered an iced lavender with a shot of espresso and it was so yummy. Thank you!

This quaint coffee shop on Baldwin Avenue is a great place to stop in the morning for coffee. At lunch they serve sandwiches and smoothies in addition to the cakes, croissants, and pastries. This is a great place to meet or stop if you're walking around Makawao town. Indoors, it can get loud, as the place has become popular. They serve specialty coffees, which are great for those cool Upcountry mornings. However, if you want to have a quiet business meeting, there are some tables just outside the back door. Street parking can be difficult to find. However, if you're walking around the town, this is a great spot to take a break.

Really like the vibes of the store from the decorations to the really friendly staff. Me and my wife really liked the chai latte we shared. The chai spices are really strong and the whole milk we got was really rich in a good way.
