Our daughter is newly vegetarian, and wanted to try this place out for her birthday dinner, so we got 4 entrees to-go, along with two orders of the crispy potstickers.
The service was fast and friendly, which is probably the only thing saving this review from a single star.
Let me start by saying we really WANTED to like the food from here. It would be really helpful to have a local vegetarian restaurant option, but sadly that's not going to happen. Not here, anyway.
I'll start with my wife's curry, which was an overly-bland impersonation of curry. She requested it medium-spicy, and it was the blandest thing ever. Almost all huge chunks of fake-meat with barely any veggies. She didn't end up finishing it.
My oldest daughter got the Thai Siamese, which was the most flavorful of the meals we got, but the fake chicken was the texture of a spongey egg, and she also got some intestinal issues from something in the meal. Again, requested medium spicy, but had almost no spice at all. The sauce on the dish was thin and watery as well.
My youngest (the birthday girl) got the drunken noodles with tofu, and she was far from impressed. She had wanted it to be spicy, and again (you see the theme) it was bland.
My dish was the spicy basil, with the imitation beef, and once again, it was a disappointing thin sauce that lacked flavor and spice.
I will give them credit for the potstickers, which my kids seemed to enjoy, despite corn kernels being in the filling.
For an $80 dinner (food plus tip) it was a major disappointment. Nobody else in my family will agree to eat their leftovers. I'm doing my best to eat them myself, because I'm stubborn about wasting food, but I figured I should warn folks about what to expect, as the reviews I had seen online made this place sound amazing. There was a decent crowd eating there when I picked up the food, so they do have a fan base, but I'm really not sure why.
Again, we wanted to like it, but...yeah.
