CURBSIDE PICKUP
Supporting local during the Pandemic as much as I can but this place was a first and last for me. There wasn't much options when the Shelter In Place/Stay At Home order was set into place. Some restaurants were open while others were not. Some were thru certain delivery services, some weren't using delivery services. I ended up cutting out the middle-man and additional fees and picked up my own food after calling in the order.
FOOD.
Pad Thai ($12)- Rice noodles stir fried w/ bean sprouts, onion, basil, and tofu in a Thai flavored tamarind sauce topped with salty crushed peanuts. I only ordered this because my friends and I had a FaceTime Virtual Dinner across different cities and states and the theme was "Asian". I wanted something healthy and went for ToFu Pad Thai. It was one of the most blandest and colorless Pad Thai I have ever had - very disappointing. The taste was not authentic, the color was a khaki (yes, i said khaki), the portions were decent, but the price was a rip-off. Do Not Recommend.
Crab Rangoon ($7) - creamy vegan cream cheese combined with "vegan" crab. This was actually good. Nice crispiness and the filling was flavorful. Recommend.
Cupcake ($3.5) - nothing special about their cupcakes.
SERVICE.
Please tell your staff to lay off whatever they were doing, the server seemed v-e-r-y disconnected. I came to pick it up and after telling her my name name multiple times she kept referring to me as Pam. Who the f* is Pam? I even corrected her and she still kept referring me to Pam. I came here when SD had started the uphill climb the coronavirus infections. The server was telling me this place is safe (she was not wearing mask or gloves) but had told me the cooks in the back all have masks and that SD only has 34 infections. It was end of March and we actually had 519 positive cases, her misinformation made me scratch my head and wonder what the hell she was smoking. I also asked her to include a chocolate cupcake to the order and she kept saying "we don't have chocolate cupcakes"... but I clearly read a sign that says "chocolate cupcakes" and a handful of cupcakes behind the sign. I had to bring her around the glass case to see what I was reading and she was like "that's not chocolate cupcakes, Pam". Okay - stop starring at me, correct the sign, and give me the cupcake?! I am at a lost for words with this server. And for the last time, my name isn't Pam.
