Ordered food for my husban on uber. He did not eat the pupusas and threw them away, said they tasted disgusting. Never gonna order from this restaurant again.

Sirenita's is a hidden gem in the Wrigley area! We ate there several times this week and it didn't disappoint not once! Everything that we ate was delicious! The waitresses were very attentive and kind. The music was on point and it was all around good vibes each and every time. We also stayed for karaoke last night and we had such a good time! We're looking forward to returning for the great food, drinks and karaoke!

With a sea-village décoré, this little restraunt has good, strong margaritas and a savory salsa. The staff we had was friendly and really patient with the kids. The carna asada had a good flavor with a really peppery finish. The coconut flan was really rich and enjoyable though could use some more sauce.

Food lacked flavor and my carne asada burrito lacked carne and flavor. Order a chicken quesadilla and did have chicken in it. Meat that was in was hard. Food need FLAVOR. However the food was fresh. See pick of meatless burrito.

Exceptional customer service and friendly staff. Affordable prices and wide selection of different food. Main dishes on menu have a little flags right next to them, indicating what country the dish is from - Pretty neat. The fried plantains were a hit and so were the popusas. The "repollo" (topping for popusas) could use less vinegar, but other than that the dining experience was great!

I just left this place and I thought everything was good food service was excellent the price a little bit over priced but the food makes it even .I would go back and recommend it Plus they have happy hour and karaoke

Really happy we stopped in. The tortillas and pupusas were some of the best and the sopa de res was very tasty. Only one server and she was everywhere at the same time

Been visiting here every time I'm in town and the pupusas and pollo con tajadas are amazing! Always love the vibe of the place and would recommend giving this restaurant a try if you would want to try some Honduran food. Service is always good at times when it gets busy it can be a little slow but nevertheless the wait is always worth it.

First timer here ! And the food was great and the people here were great and welcoming The service was great too ( checking up on you ) Next time definitely coming from karaoke!

Horrible tacos not real carne asada no Salsa dry meat Worst tacos ever I will never eat here again

Little hidden gems in the Long Beach city. I had a carne asada plate, the meat was well seasoned, loved the refried beans very flavorful, but my top favorite was the handmade tortillas. The service was prompt since it was a couple of customers before myself. The restaurant looks very clean, the waitress was not very welcoming but also not rude. I see myself coming back again.

The service could be better We waited maybe 45 min for Ceviche and cocktail. Cold food! I don't understand how cold food could take so long when only two other tables were present. The ambiance was nice with mermaids and Shakira playing ... but I have never waited so long on a slow day for easy to prepare food that needed no cook time. I also asked for a ceviche mixto that should have came with octopus included

My husband and I were waiting for the paint store to reopen and decided we wanted to get a bite to eat. Sirenita's was a couple of doors away so decided to give it a try. Wow! We were definitely glad we did! To start, it was a multi-cultural restaurant; Mexican, Salvadoreña and Honduras. My husband wanted the taquitos plate with rice and beans and I ordered pupusas and Jamaica to drink. Our food was delicious!! The prices are reasonable and they also offer a great Happy Hour. My husband and I will definitely venture back!!

1st time here Just moved to the area and we saw this place had popusas We came in order 3 popusas in total Cheese and chicharron they were really good The music is good The service was good as well We also got a side of rice and beans and I fell in love with the beans lol so good you can taste how fresh they are! The popusas are huge so worth it Our bill was less than 30 So not too bad on prices pretty fair and you leave very satisfied

I came to try the authentic Honduran food and every bit of it was more then delicious. I had ordered some pupusas with a house made Horchata which to me was a really amazing meal. The service was very good and very welcoming. The scenery also gives a nice feeling. Along with the music which had a great vibe in the night as well.

Service was great and attentive. I got a spinach and cheese pupusa and a chile relleno burrito wet style. Both were super yummy. Place is simple and clean. I will definitely return to try more things!!!

Seriously the best tacos, drinks, and staff around. Taco Tuesdays are a lot of fun! I've found my new taco place!

By accident I found this place , nice happy hour that lasts 3-6pm Monday through Friday ! 3.99 draft beer . Taco Tuesday oh yes!!! No liquor tho. Music is blasting grupo firme ...

I came here for breakfast. I decided to get one of their "new breakfasts". I ordered the El Ranchero, which is poached eggs on corn tortillas with a nice spicy sauce. It also comes with a small piece of beef (flank steak) and a rice/beans combo. Everything was pretty tasty. The egg dish is like a Salvadoran Benedict. I really like it. It might be too spicy for some. But I thought it was delicious, so much so that I used the sauce to dip the steak in. The beef tastes good, but it's a little tough. The beans/rice mix is good with sauce too. The coffee was good black. It was all served by a lovely young lady. I'll definitely be back here, as it's literally across the street from where we're staying and it's good. I'll have to try it for dinner. The place has a ocean/mermaid vibe. There are flat screen TVs aplenty.

Bought two pupusas, and one of them had nothing inside, very disappointed And I got a baliada too very disappointed as well!

One of my favorite places here in Wrigley Village. Great Pupusas, Burritos, ambience and always decorate for holidays... this time was Valentines Day. Waitress today was super nice, friendly and said I look like George Clooney, which I take as a compliment lol Cheers probecho

We went here yesterday for lunch as a friend of ours mentioned it is good and in the neighborhood. The place has customers about 4 including us, we ordered chicken wings, menudo and another soup, It took about half an hour for the order, the chicken wings did not came until we are done with the-meal the food is ok and the service horrible No worth waiting this long for our food , we are not coming back

What a horrible place to go eat. The lady owner has the worst service I have received in a while. My girlfriend invited me there because she's from Honduras and had heard about this place before. We decided to give it a try. We went in there, no greeting, no hello and we didn't know if we should sit or wait to be sited. There was only one busy table so we had plenty to choose from. After a couple of minutes, the lady owner comes and takes menus and takes our drink orders. A couple minutes pass by and she comes to take our food order. I asked what the "house specialty was" and her reaction was as if my question bothered her. She recommended a soup as their specialty and I ended up going with her recommendation as well as a baleada with extra crema. My Girlfriend got the chuletas. Anyway, it took forever to get our food! And there was just one table!! My baleada finally comes out first and it hardly had ANY beans inside or any crema. The beans were so dry that I only ate half, see the picture attached. The rest of the food finally comes out and I start digging into my soup which was surprisingly not too bad. I noticed my girlfriend didn't start eating because she never got utensils. I got up to ask for it because she was at the bar gossiping with someone and asked for utensils, she gave me a fork and saw my girlfriend struggling because she had no knife to cut her chuleta. I waited to see if she'd check up on us but she only checked up on the table next to us. This is by far the worst experience I've had in a while. I don't plan on going back or recommending this place.

BUYER BEWARE. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. The restaurant will overcharge you on items. I noticed the price discrepancy and asked the lady. They claim that since their printed menus have a disclaimer saying prices may vary they are allowed to do this. I checked online and their online prices match their printed menu prices. There is a 1-2 dollar difference per item. This is poor business practice. My first time in this restaurant will be my last. I love supporting my local small businesses but it sucks when they are dishonest. In total we ended up paying about $10 more due to these price differences.

Delicious for sure. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu. First visit was for their Chicken Enchiladas w/Verde sauce

I come here often for my bean and cheese pupusa with rice. It's walking distance from my school. This place is decorated, has great food and friendly staff!

Solid 3 and 3-4 stars. The staff here is absolutely lovely! I wanted to try a Michelada but do not enjoy seafood, therefore Clamato is out. They were able to make a fabulous beverage for me and did so with an air of fun and skill. No it wasn't authentic, it was a specialty drink and it was delicious! Last time we were here I ordered three pupusa's, too many. Today I had two and they were perfect. My husband ordered the chicken tostada and it was enormous. He ate almost the entire tostada and found it to be very enjoyable. The interior of this restaurant is charming, the food portions are generous and tasty. You may also get serenaded by someone who stops by to perform karaoke. Fun place! The next time we're in Long Beach, we will most certainly return.

Food was ass. Ordered fajitas and they were burned, glued to the pan. The beans tasted sour and expired. My brother ordered chicken nuggets and fries and the fries were plain. Never coming here ever again.

Nasty food. Whoever was the cook for this place Wednesday night needs to quit. Asada tacos: meat had NO flavor, tortilla was cold and stale. "Horchata": taste like coffee creamer with half a cup of sugar.. there was no rice, cinnamon, horchata flavor at all.. Shrimp ranchero: watered down, no flavor to their sauce. Chips and salsa: tortilla chips were stale but salsa was good. Seafood: shrimp was OVERLY SALTY.. fried fish was cold and stale. Rest of the seafood on the platter was cold and did not taste fresh.. Everything here was either too salty, watered down, too sweet, stale, old, and not fresh. Definitely will not be back.

Excellent value, reasonably priced, tables spaced apart enough for conversation. Plenty of free convenient parking

This place looked like a decent place to kill an hour. The menu says micheladas are $7.95. The michelada came and it was closer to $10. I mentioned the menu and the girl giggled and said no. The 2 waitresses seemed nice. The karaoke was pumping and there was a good crowd to sing along to the classics. I didn't eat but would go back to see what else is up if i lived in the area.

Not everything on the menu is great. However they have a pretty awesome menu if you like Mexican and Central American food and you can't make up your mind which one you want. The wait staff is also nice no matter who I've been served by thus far. Wish they were closer.

Not too big a fan of the sauce used for Pupusas but the pupusas themselves are really good and fairly priced and I love both their horchatas

This place is great! The owner, Joanna, is wonderful! She let us sit outside with our dogs and was quite accommodating. I ordered the queso fundido and baleadas sencillas. It was so tasty and there's even karaoke.

This is a really good place to get your Pupusas or shrimp ceviche tostadas fix and why not Michiladas aren't bad not the mention Karaoke Saturday and Sunday!! Thank you

My first time being here and was disappointed. I legit waited 40 minutes for 1 pupusa and two orders of ceviche. I had order a ceviche mixto which consists of shrimp, fish, and octopus. I get to my job and the ceviche had no octopus. I was really upset. I called them and I told them about it. I thought the lady was gonna replace my order but she didn't.... She gave me a small freaking drink.... ‍ first and last time coming here.... The waiting part was the worse.... Don't recommend

Order a carne asada burrito that taste like fried fish n the asada was really salty along with the 80% of rice n beans in tha burrito. Shrimp torta was not good at all originally order a shrimp tostada but i guess the the lady heard me wrong. She was whipping her nose with her hands n never sanitized or washed her hands . The hot sause given taste sour . Place is disgusting . Waste of 30$ . Never going back again unless i want covid or food poisoning..

Meh. I have not eaten here in person but the care that goes into (very overpriced) to-go orders is pretty much nothing. My pupusa was dry and came without curtido or sauce... which was just wonderful. The sopa de res was absolutely fantastic. I ordered guacamole which came with 3 chips though I asked for more as well as some salsa even if an up charge. They don't have these things on the menu. Long and short of it, I paid 40 bucks for an extremely lackluster meal that could have been remedied by having even the smallest bit of pride in a job well done. Thanks for phoning it in.

Second time visiting this restaurant and it was awful. I ordered chicken enchiladas w/beans and rice, chips and salsa on the side. The chicken was hard, lots of cheese inside very little sauce and it was cold. I waited for about fifteen minutes for them to make it. Just to be disappointed. I wish I would have taken pictures before throwing over half of it in the trash There were people sitting inside with no mask, a dog running around and construction going on. If you like good Mexican food, this is not the place to come to.

I should've read the reviews .. don't waste your time here. You'll end up waiting an hour for whatever food AND drinks. If you want disappointment? Feel free to come here :)

This place has been under the radar in Wrigley! Good chips, good salsa, good food, good service. Mexican food... also Honduran and Salvadorian. Never busy, which is also nice. Good vibe. Good prices.

I love this restaurant!! The food is so good. I went there last Sunday and definitely will go today again!! Excellent food and service.

I am a big supporter of mom and pop shops. Sirenitas is in a location that used to house a standard taco spot. They have disappeared and Sirenitas has emerged in its place. I lucked upon this spot on a Tuesday... that means "Taco Tuesday." They serve up some $0.99 cent tacos. They were yummy. Plus, they had happy hour pricing for draft beer: $3. They had 4 Mexican beers on tap: Dos X, Modelo, Pacifico and Tecate (I think it was Tecate). So, you've got great beers in your selection. The decor has improved since the last restaurant. It has a more mid-range restaurant feel to it. It no longer feels like a fast food spot and now feels like a sit down restaurant. The serving staff are very helpful. However, I only saw one person in the kitchen. So, the service was a bit slower than expected, but still within the normal range. I must admit that this isn't the best Mexican food that I've had, but it was good. When you add in the ambiance, staff and easy location in Wrigley, that improves the feel of this place. I will definitely come back here on Taco Tuesdays and probably several times throughout the week. In the time that we were there, we saw many people getting food to go and several "regulars" hanging out with a few drinks and food. So, this is now a neighborhood hangout. Enjoy!!

I ordered a torta de asada when I picked it up to eat it the bottom of the bread was soggy, the meat was cut in big chunks it had no flavor & waited for 40 mins. The place wasn't even packed. Disappointed!

Had pupusas for me and my fam everyone loved the food and the mojjara frita was delicious this lil spots needs more recognition I'd recommend it for anyone craving some good food

HOMEMADE TORTILLAS! My friend suggested that I try this new Centroamerican and Mexican Restaurant out. I haven't had Salvadorian food in a while, so we came for dinner on a Tuesday. The first thing that I noticed is that this place is extremely clean and tastefully decorated with a fishermen theme. The salsa music they were playing was at a pleasant volume and not too loud. The waitress told us that they just opened in December 2017. They have a good beer selection and 2 screens at the bar so you won't miss your favorite sports game. She seated us and brought out the salsa and chips quickly, which the salsa was tasty. Since it was a hot day, we ordered a shrimp cocktail to share. The shrimp were good sized and served in a tangy cocktail sauce with vegetables and crackers. For dinner, my friend ordered the mixed fajitas, which came out sizzling with rice, beans and homemade tortillas. It was so good she had nothing left over. I decided to try a Salvadorian soup called sopa de mondongo, which is a savory and mildly spiced coconut chowder with pig foot, tripe, yucca, chayote, cabbage and bell peppers. It came with an order of fried green banana chips and I ordered a side of Salvadorian cream to dip. It was delicious and so satisfying after my long work day! Honestly, the soup was so big that I probably should have only eaten half and saved the rest to go, but I couldn't stop myself and ate the whole thing. I'll start my diet tomorrow. LOL! I liked their food and service so much that I also ordered a Centroamerican breakfast plate to go for tomorrow. Yes, they serve breakfast ALL DAY!!! We will definitely be back again to try the sopa de caracol, which is that same coconut chowder base soup, but with sea snails. It's a little more expensive, but I can splurge once. Next time, I'll also check out their homemade pupusas (they have a decent variety on the menu).

This is a Family oriented & want a party with Karaoke.....its a perfect spot. The Owner is fun and knows to be friendly......
