Sirikoi Lodge

We have had a couple of safari experience, but this time we heard about the concept of "sofa safari", which roughly means that you can relax in your room and watch a kind of personal safari. We did some online research and found out Sirikoi. We didn't know much about Lewa, but heard it was a good place to watch rhinos. After the stay I can honestly say - I get it now. There is something so special and relaxing to know that you can sit on your balcony and watch the wildlife. Herds of elephants, zebras, impalas, a couple more animals and even some giraffes, within reach, almost eating off your hand. The tents are incredible, comfortable and very practical. All in all it was an amazing experience, though I'd be remiss if I didn't point out two flaws that can be fixed so quickly... 1. There are no selections for the food menu, just a set menu that you don't know what it would be beforehand. 2. The safari vehicle is missing the inner handrest, so it is hard to keep yourself steady in the rocky roads. But overall, a 5 star luxury safari. Special thanks to Peter.

This stunning resort in the middle of the private Lewa conservancy offers the best of Both worlds: Seeing the great Wildlife in Northern Kenya, and a relaxing fully modern resort setting.|We had a 2-bedroom suite that we shared with our friends. For the cool evenings, there were three fireplaces in the suite, and every night they were lit by the time we got back to our rooms. The outdoor Dining was great with an incredible variety of farm-fresh items available. |The best part of our stay was the experience and knowledge of our individual Masai guide. His attention to detail and knowledge of animal behavior were encyclopedic. We were all very Grateful to our tour company (Travel and Beyond) for setting up this unforgettable vacation. If you want to see the Big Five, including the rare Black Rhino, this is the place.

We loved Sirkoi! Sue and her team are fantastic. Out of all of places we stayed in E. Africa the Lewa conservancy and Sirikoi was fantastic. Our guide Sam was fabulous and we saw such rare animals. Black and white rhinos, grevy zebras, Somali ostriches-I could go on and on. I went horseback riding which was amazing on the Savanah. Did I mention our beautiful tent, great food, fantastic staff. I surprised my husband for a milestone birthday with Masai dancers and it was marvelous. Go on the “back of the house tour” to see how sustainable the camp is. We met Kiko the resident half wild giraffe which was a treat. We hated to leave. Sue is such a gracious host, we felt like family. We will be coming back and staying longer on this gem of a camp!

My honeymoon stay at Sirikoi Lodge was nothing short of romantic and full of adventure! The decor was so dreamy and mystical while still feeling like I'm on a safari. It was the perfect blend of the two -- relaxation & leisure and adventure. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Natasha whose warm smile and calming energy made us feel immediatley at home. She was so helpful and made sure our stay at Sirikoi went smoothly. And our guide, Ngila, was so experienced and educated about all the animals. He took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the animals while also guiding us on how to take the most perfect pictures. He tailored our safari perfectly to what we wanted to see. The room was an absolute dream. It was a canvas tent supported by walls but the exquisite features made this tent feel more luxury than like a "tent". There was a fireplace, a seating area inside and outside of the tent, a stunning bathroom with a huge bathtub, shower, and two sinks. We were Tent #4 so we had views of all the animals all over. Even from the restroom. The resident giraffe, impalas, waterbucks and zebras surrounded the tent 24/7. Every morning we were greeted with hot coffee and cookies! The camp was exceptional. A massive property with so much to see and do! We took the tour of the camp and highly suggest all visitors to do so. We visited the garden and it was my dream garden. All the fruits and vegetables that we eat at Sirikoi is sourced directly from the on site garden. Evenings on the property were so cozy and romantic. All the guests gathered around a fireplace for pre-dinner drinks and light apps while dinner was getting ready to be served. It was a nice time to gather around everyone and mingle. Once dinner was ready, we all picked our tables and were served a 3-course sit down dinner. They even surprised us with a special, private sit-down dinner to celebrate our honeymoon. Sirikoi made us feel like Kings and Queens! Overall, our stay at Sirikoi was a dream come true. A perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. We already can't wait to come back!

This was my third African safari and, by far, this was the most beautiful of the tented camps I visited! Elegance, nature and an exceptional staff ensures a great experience. Dining among the trees watching herds of impalas, elephants and the local giraffe pass by is amazing. The tents are private and luxurious! Staff are super friendly and accommodating and genuinely seem happy to be there. Drivers are exceptional at spotting and finding the elusive animals! If we could live there we would!!!!

Sirikoi and Lewa has left a very special place in our hearts. Everything about our experience was exceptional. Coming from a hospitality background, I could truly appreciate the love and care that was put into everything. You can feel it. From the staff who are genuine, happy and proud of their work to the focused conservation and sustainability efforts in solar power, recycling, organic vegetable/fruit garden, home made furniture, local eco-friendly products and giving back to the local community. And the wildlife....wow! What a privilege it was to spend time with animals in their home environment - cape buffalo, lions, impala, rhinos, zebra, giraffe and more! Special mention to our Masai guide who was above-amazing - Legei! We miss Sirikoi and hope to be back someday! In the meantime, this is the go-to place in Kenya for an unforgettable safari adventure!

We loved Sirikoi Lodge and our safari experience there. Our tent was more than comfortable, the staff was great, the food was delicious and fresh, our guide was terrific and we saw dozens of animals in their habitat. Take the back lot tour to appreciate the property and many sustainability practices. Loved it!
