"This unique, intimate restaurant, with an interior design that combines industrial and contemporary details as well as classic decorative features from the past, is located in the authentic Chamberí district of the city. Its unusual name refers to a Roman archaeological site in La Bienvenida (Ciudad Real province). The chef at the helm here, Alejandro Aguirre, champions contemporary cuisine that is highly personal and full of strong flavours, ably supported by Asian and South American ingredients that he skilfully combines with native Spanish products. The à la carte, which includes appetising dishes such as steak tartare with grilled marrow bone, is complemented by a tasting menu." - Michelin Inspector

Had the ‘meeting menu’. Ambience was nice, staff was prompt although felt a bit rushed. Our favorite dishes were the scallops with mango, and the steak tartare with bone marrow. A couple plates tasted good but felt was missing one small adjustment (e.g. to add a dash of salt, or more acid to the flavors). The tasting menu was priced fairly for the value.

What a great experience! Definitely deserve a Michelin star! They created a wine pairing for us based on our love of wine and the sampling menu. 10/10 recommend

Food to treat yourself, comfort food with a touch of style. The tartar with bone marrow was the best. The service was kind. Most of the tables are outdoors under a canvas, it was mostly ok on a sunny day in the beggining of November, might not be 100% comfotrable in winter or on a rainy evening.

Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food at SISAPO was very good! For appetizers, we ordered the potatoes, scallops, veggie croquettes, codfish croquettes, gyoza, and artichoke. The potatoes were OK. They were covered in mayo and were nothing special. The scallops were amazing! I highly recommend them. Both croquettes were very good, but I liked the veggie ones better. The gyoza was not the best and I wouldn’t recommend it. The artichoke was also very good and I highly recommend it! We ordered the ají, octopus, and pork cheek for mains. The octopus was not very good. It was chewy and didn’t taste fresh. The pork cheek was good. It was very tender, but a very heavy dish. The ají was pretty good, but the appetizers were better. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate textures, which was like a chocolate lava cake. It was good, but it was very heavy. We swapped out the pistachio ice cream for the violet ice cream. The violet ice cream was horrible. It tasted like soap, and I really wouldn’t recommend it. Overall, the food at SISAPO was good, but I recommend ordered more appetizers because they were much better. Service: ⭐️ I would give 0 stars for the service if I could. I have never received such horrible service for this nice of a restaurant. I think I have received better service from a McDonalds. As soon as we entered the restaurant, the bartender (not sure of his name but he had a mustache and a silver earring) had a huge attitude. When we were seated, no one explained to us that the menu was online. The menu is very confusing because there is a place to add the food to a cart but you have to tell a waiter your order. When we signaled to the waiters (as we didn’t have a specially assigned waiter), they took the drink order of one person in our group and left. They didn’t ask what the whole party wanted to drink, and we had to signal to the waiter again. They seemed annoyed to take our food orders. They never checked in on us to ask if we wanted more food (and we did!). I noticed they were much friendlier to other people who spoke Spanish. Maybe they don’t like tourists, but this service was unacceptable for this type of restaurant. Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don’t have much to say about the atmosphere. It was a nice interior and not too loud.

Sissapo offers modern cuisine executed at a high level while remaining very reasonably priced. An excellent combination in Madrid’s dining scene! The service is attentive and welcoming, making the experience all the more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the croquettes, which were outstanding - quite possibly the best we’ve had in Madrid so far. All in all, Sissapo is a strong address for those seeking refined yet accessible dining in the city.

Everything about this place was amazing: food, ambience, our servers - we would go back there in a heartbeat, and we'll definitely visit when we're in Madrid again, hoping the scallop with yuzu is still on the menu 😊

We booked a table for two well in advance via the Michelin guide and specifically requested to sit outside. Upon arrival (2 minutes early), we were told there were no outside tables left and had to sit inside. At a restaurant of this level, you should be able to rely on your seating preference being honored — not a great start. Once seated in the back, we ordered a bottle of wine and the tasting menu. The first course featured a scallop on seaweed, torched tableside. Unfortunately, the server also burned the seaweed, releasing a smell similae to burning hair. While the flavor was good, the aroma distracted from the dish. This happened repeatedly when other guests were served the dish. The following courses were nicely presented and well-prepared, but the service was incredibly rushed. Plates arrived barely a minute apart, and by the fourth course, one dish was cleared and replaced mid-bite. It’s worth explicitly asking for a slower pace if you want to enjoy your evening. After we made that request, the rest of the experience improved. Overall, the food was good, but the rushed service and seating confusion made it less enjoyable than expected. If you offer a seating option, make sure it's respected — it sets the tone for the whole night.

The food was pretty mid level for a bib gourmand - each dish was missing a touch of something except for the pork which was cooked to perfection and the delicious bone marrow. The service was increased by one star bc they were able to quickly pack up the food quickly after she felt sick and wanted to leave early
