D.C.’s Most Beautiful Restaurant Bathrooms

"This small but mighty bathroom pulls in the greens and florals from the rest of the restaurant. Gold hardware, floral arrangements, and vintage pictures adorn the wall, and warm light from eclectic sconces transport customers to a private oasis." - Abi Newhouse, Nicole Schaller, Eater Staff

Food was good. I had much better experience when I have visited the Mosaic District’s Sisters Thai! I have been to the this place before, definitely would recommend this place but the food needs improvement. Service and Ambience is not a complaint!

Google
11/10 Amazing! This is our new fave local Thai place. The place is small, but cozy, and the service is always fantastic. I highly recommend their sake selection, their smoothies and milky freezes (especially thai tea freeze), chive dumplings, panang, and cashew tofu! On a hot day, we love coming in to get a cold milky freeze or come have some tea and just hang out. The wait staff is friendly and sweet, the restaurant has pretty decor, and all the food is awesome. Highly recommended! EDIT: I noticed some other customers saying the portion sizes are small. This is likely because they are used to the gigantic portion sizes in America - honestly, they aren't that small, they seem normal to me.

Great service from the little Thai girl with glasses in the restaurant. Very polite and energetic always smiling. The food was incredible as well. If you ever pass through here you should really stop by

★★★★★ Amazing Food & Excellent Service! I had an incredible experience at this Thai restaurant! Tan provided the best customer service—she was kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the fish, which was cooked to perfection. And the dessert? Simply unforgettable! The flavors were authentic, fresh, and full of delicious Thai spices. If you’re looking for great food and top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended! Thank you, Tan, for making my visit so enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. It is located near Main Street and University Drive in Fairfax. It has cute interior decor similar to its other DMV location, and the food is good overall. However, on our last visit, we felt the taste of the dishes was stronger and saltier than usual.

Google
I liked the vibe of this place with the bookshelves and all the other decorations. The food tasted good, nothing extraordinary. But I was quite disappointed by the portion sizes, especially for the price. I feel like there are many other Thai places in NOVA and elsewhere that have much bigger portions for that price. It's a decent enough place, and I don't want to give a lower rating, but it I would prefer to go some other place if I'm getting the same quality for less. Overall 3.5/5

We had dinner here for our friend’s birthday. Loved the romantic decor with its bookshelves filled with books, movie posters in Thai and the menu looked like a newspaper. The staff was friendly and immediately recognized it was a birthday celebration and let us know discreetly they’d bring out a treat later. We had the fishcake appetizer which was delicious and fragrant (and has no fishy taste in case you’re wondering.) We shared a papaya salad set which came with chicken and sticky rice but I didn’t love it, as the salad dressing was a bit on the bland side. The chicken was fine. We also had the duck ka pow; it was average. My drink, The Reminder, was delicious.

I’ve been a long-time supporter of Sister Thai’s other locations, but my first visit to their Fairfax City establishment was deeply disappointing. The service was among the rudest and most inattentive I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant setting. What has always been a warm, welcoming, family-friendly environment at their other locations felt strangely cold and uninviting here. From the moment we were seated, the tone was off. (This is by the manager who seemed like a lovely guy, but unfortunately left through our meal). We were assured that our child’s highchair placement wouldn’t be a problem, yet multiple staff members repeatedly brushed past her, carried hot plates precariously overhead, and gave us visibly unpleasant looks. It was uncomfortable and frankly, unsafe. Despite being seated quickly on what became a quiet Friday evening, we had to repeatedly ask for basic necessities like napkins and utensils — requests which were met with sighs and eye rolls from our server. When we began by ordering drinks and appetizers, our server seemed annoyed that we weren’t immediately ready with entrées, despite barely having had a chance to look at the menu. Refills were almost nonexistent, no one followed up about additional drinks or dessert, and attempts to flag someone down were ignored. At one point, we watched our server spend time taking photos in the corner and chatting with table of older patrons, while our requests for service went unacknowledged in a half-empty restaurant. Eventually, we had to approach another staff member to ask for the check, which was finally processed by a different server — she was quite kind but equally inattentive. I’ve always admired the Sister Thai brand for its consistency and hospitality. Unfortunately, this location felt like an entirely different operation — one that left a sour taste far beyond the food. I won’t be returning to this location and sincerely hope management addresses the concerning staff behavior we experienced tonight.

Yelp
I always start off with curry puffs. 10/10 and always consistent. The entrees were all amazing. I prefer drunken noodles but both the pad see ew and drunken noodles are delicious. Pad see ew is more chewy. I would recommend beef or shrimp for these dishes. Level 5 spice can get very spicy with the noodles. Chicken for the curries unless it is specific like the crispy duck curry. The crispy duck curry is my favorite and I get it every time. I noticed more pieces of pineapple and duck this time. Curry comes with rice. If you like heat I would do level 5 because it mixes well with the rices. I don't know how they were able to get perfectly ripe mangos during the winter but they did and this is an amazing dessert. The perfectly ripped mangos pair so well with the condense milk and sticky rice. Service is great, even in this small cute store. The servers are very attentive and refill waters regularly. They do a good job communicating with each other and it truly shows.

Yelp
We enjoyed a ladies lunch here the other day. The lunch special is the way to go. I had the red curry with chicken. Plenty for a lunch with a little leftover. The Thai tea is great too. Cute little place with a bookshelf wall and fun flowers hanging from the ceiling. Service was fine, nothing bad, nothing great. We did feel a little rushed when we wanted to to stay and chat for a bit.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to dining at Sister Thai, but unfortunately, my experience did not live up to expectations. I opted for the lunch special, which includes a starter and a main dish. I ordered the salad and the fried rice with chicken and shrimp. From the start, things went downhill. The lettuce in my salad was wilted, so I asked for a different starter. When the main dish arrived, the food was only room temperature, and the rice was dry. It lacked flavor and freshness, which was really disappointing. What really ruined the experience was how rushed we felt. Despite there being no other people waiting to be seated, the staff asked us twice if we wanted boxes, even as my friend was still eating. It felt incredibly rude and made us uncomfortable. I won't be returning to Sister Thai. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants in the area that I'll be trying instead.

Yelp
This is a fun little spot! I had walked by it several times and had always wanted to try it. It was one of the better Thai food experiences I have had in the DC area. The inside dining area is cozy and the decor has a flowery coffee shop vibe to it. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The food was amazing and the portions seemed larger than other Thai places I have tried. I had the wonton soup and sisters fried rice. Both were excellent (and I purposefully went non-spicy with my choices). This is a great spot for a date or intimate group dinner. Easy 5/5 stars!

Yelp
We stopped by on a Sunday evening for an early dinner. The food was average - the Ka Prow was extra salty, the fried rice bland, and the pad Thai was pretty mid, but the service was quick and friendly. We shall return to try some of the other dishes.

Yelp
I've been to both locations, the one in Fairfax at Mosaic and the new spot in Alexandria. The food is amazing at both, yet I prefer the Alexandria location simply because it's closer to me and the aesthetic is light and industrial. I recently ordered the Crispy Duck Kaprow and it was really good. Great portion sizes. My friend ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and loved it. Not a crumb was left lol.

Yelp
I think this was the first location! Sisters Thai was the first place that transfer you to a unique ambiance where you feel like you're sitting in someone's mansion or a fancy library! It's literally like the great former DC CM Kimo once said. It's the living room restaurant! Cute & Cozy! They care about the details, but honestly, if the story was only about the ambiance, you wouldn't see more beautiful and amazing Sisters Thai locations! Mosaic , Potomac MD, and my favorite location is the old town Alexandria one! The real story is about the taste , quality, and customer service that goes along with that great ambiance! I order a lot from sisters Thai for to go and I really like my experience with them! I call ahead, place my order, spell out my details and special requests, and I get what I asked for! Very consistent and always fresh, hot, and tasty! Try it, vote for the review , message me, or compliment me with any comment or question, and don't forget to ... Pray for me ;)

Yelp
Really cool place with delicious food and good service. Went for dinner with my sisters, and we all loved our entrees. We didn't enjoy the spring rolls (except the dipping sauce) or the papaya salad (would have been better as takeout, the dressing needed to seep in more). That being said, they were doing a brisk takeout business. Will certainly return to try more of their dishes.

Yelp
Romantic bliss and great ambiance. There is something seriously special and serenading about Sisters Thai. The city of Fairfax location in old town, is the best in the chain. If you want to dress up nice, slap on a bit of that charming cologne, and impress a lady this spot delivers! Also with its very reasonable prices, you won't feel your wallet burn. That makes this a must visit place. Intimate and comfortable. The service and staff are exemplary. You will feel as if you are a revered guest here, which is something extraordinary. That's another reason I'm a regular. Now with what appears to be a nice girlfriend, we will be back again. My sister in law is from Thailand and recommends this place. She's not exactly prone to giving high marks for Thai cuisine, but she says this one is her favorite. That alone plus other folks from there saying the same, is more proverbial proof in the pudding Sister Thai is doing the right things. As soon as I walked in first time to now, there's something in the air. You're always welcome here is the description. The wonton and shrimp rolls as appetizers are wicked. I also like the spring rolls. All are made with quality and I love the appearance of the meals here. The plates just look artistic. With the small seating area, it's a place where you can spend quality time together. This relaxed vibe and out come the entrees. What to recommend? Personal favorite is the crispy duck curry. Order it regularly or if you want to spice it up, they can make that happen. That's a subjective decision. Honey roast duck is tasty too. This is a bit smaller but portions are very good here. Quality plus size is winning after all. Chicken ka prow is the safest pick, and if unsure go with this. If not the staff is great with recommendations. Parking is a cinch in old town, and this romantic and tasty place is among favorites! Well done and keep it up.

Yelp
Sister's Thai was a staple back when I went to George Mason. It's such a cute vibe inside and definitely makes you feel at home. I don't love this location because there's always traffic and parking is difficult (unless you're going on off hours). The inside is also fairly small so it's not a great place for big groups. However, the food is always on point. I love all the typical Thai dishes here and they also have a few Thai "street food" too.
google avatar

Yelp
Portions have gotten so small that it's not worth the wait anymore. There are plenty of other stronger Thai establishments in the area.

Yelp
Service was delightful and prompt. They were very busy on a Sunday afternoon but attentive bringing menus and water as soon as we were seated. I ordered the shrimp cakes which were very tasty and well portioned. We had pad Thai shrimp which was fresh and wonderful. I've been on a duck binge lately and decided to order the crispy duck curry. There was a lot of duck in the serving and the red curry was so nice, much nicer than the red curry I make. Very flavorful and nice addition of potato, pepper and small tomato. We were in a hurry to attend a show and didn't have time to linger but we plan to be back in a few weeks. The restaurant is in a very walkable area of Fairfax City with a free parking lot just up the street less than a block.

Yelp
We had a pretty nice experience dining in at Sisters Thai in Fairfax. A parking lot is available across the street and could get full pretty quickly. We went late - around 9pm for dinner and this place was still very busy. Thankfully we got a table pretty fast, and service was friendly. There are not a lot of tables here though, so I'd caution against coming during a lunch or dinner rush. Started out with the crispy spring rolls. These definitely tasted fresh to me and the dipping sauce was great. The rolls themselves could've used a smidge more flavor. I got the Thai tea to drink - it was slightly too sweet for my liking but overall pretty good. I tried the chicken pad Thai for my entree - I wished the pad Thai had a bit more flavor, it was good but not the best I've had. Portion size was nice though. However, my fiancé got the crispy duck curry and it was DELICIOUS. I was a bit jealous I didn't get a curry dish instead because it was so flavorful and had a nice spice level. I'd come back for the curry. We needed with the strawberry shortcake- it was very light and fluffy.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The waitstaff is very friendly and delivered our food in a timely manner. I love the paintings on the walls. I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
I absolutely love sister's Thai, it was my introduction to Thai food and I was so pleasantly surprised. The service is always good and I love the ambiance it's always very calm and aesthetic.

Yelp
Sisters Thai has become one of our go-to lunch/dinner places. Our favorite dishes are Sisters fried rice, pottery shrimp, and the tried and true pad Thai. My only con for this place is how close the tables are to each other. When it's just me and my SO dining, I secretly hope not to be seated near another table of 2. It's so awkward to squish between that narrow little space between the tables. It literally feels like you're squishing past people in a movie theater aisle or even an airplane aisle. Anyway, the food is consistently good and the service is super quick! I love the little cozy touches - from the newspaper menus to the decor throughout. The non-alcoholic drink menu is nice as well! The Thai tea and various lemonades/Asian-fruit based ice slushes are great. All in all, I feel like this place tries to optimize efficiency (nothing wrong with that) but that probably underlies the slightly uncomfortable table arrangements. Service is fast but not necessarily warm or friendly (also nothing necessarily wrong with that). It's not somewhere where you would feel like a regular even if you go regularly. That being said, it's still one of our go-tos for good Thai food in the Mosaic District!

Yelp
We made a reservation for three at 7pm. One of our friends couldn't make it, so the two of us still went. We arrived very early but drove around for nearly 15 minutes trying to find parking because there is practically none in that area. I even called them under our reservation name while we were looking for parking to let them know that we would be delayed. Once we got there, the woman who sat us scolded me saying that I should call ahead if I'm going to be late because the table could've gone to someone else (which I understand) but I told her that I did call. She sat us at a table for three (we should've told her earlier that the third person wasn't coming) but once we told her she made us move tables after we had gotten our drinks, menus, and silverware because we were taking up too much space at the larger table. It is very cramped in there but quite cute! I just kept feeling like I was in the way of the servers. The food was delicious but the drunken noodles were SOOO spicy. She asked me what level of heat I wanted on a scale of 1-5, to which I said 3. I could barely eat it because my mouth was on fire I saw jalapeños and red paper flakes throughout, and my friend agreed it was way too hot for consumption as well. Normally I wouldn't mind this heat but she got drunken noodles as well with a level 2 heat and hers had no heat in the slightest (no flakes or peppers present). It seemed like a dramatic change between level 2 and level 3.

Yelp
We went to the Tysons branch, with a big group. Service was good except for desserts, that were served from flores cafe... they told it will take longer but it aas much longer than they said. Beautiful ambience and good food.

Yelp
This place is a go to!! The fried wontons are the best! Everything on the menu is good and fairly priced, especially their lunch special! They updated their menu (a bit ago) and add more things and in the style of a newspaper. The inside is so beautifully decorated, as well as the bathroom. The service is always good, they're nice, quick and attentive. It's sometimes hard to find parking when it is busy in Old Town Fairfax but it's worth the time to find one to eat here:)

Yelp
Cute place in Fairfax City. Parking across the street. Nice service, fast. Food was fresh and good. We loved the crispy duck curry. Satay was okay, a tad dry. My Panang curry was good, less sweet, balanced more salty. Overall a good dinner.
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
We tried to do family style and share all the dishes so that we can enjoy and taste all the food. I think I was overwhelmed by how good each dish was and I didn't think I had enough of each. We also got the pork belly, which I didn't like the texture very much of, but it still tasted so good. Service was quick, and this restaurant was really cozy and small.
google avatar

Tiffany J.

Yelp
Great service, cute ambience, and extensive menu. If you like dining in cute girly Restaurants this is the spot for you. Even the bathroom is decked out w/ a faux grass wall. It's a small spot, like many Thai restaurants but the menu isn't. They have plenty of options to choose from for the real Thai food lovers. Options with heat and some w/ less heat. They prep fake out orders too, so you'll see people coming in to pick up right in the middle of the restaurant. A small pitcher of water is left on the table to refill your own drink. The chairs aren't the most comfortable w/ a hard wooden seat, that's the only real downside. You can park across the street in the small lot or garage. Beware the lot is tight.

Yelp
My go-to for Thai food! Sisters Thai has some of the best in the area. The food quality and taste are consistent at the locations I normally go to (Old Town and Mosaic). The portions are good for the price, and the service is always nice. The decorations at their restaurants are adorable and chic. We usually get take out at this location, since it's easier and the inside is quite small. This time we got Panang curry with beef, spicy eggplant with tofu, drunken noodles with beef, and cripsy duck ka pow. All of the dishes were so delicious! The curry was so creamy and flavorful, with a generous portion of tender beef. The drunken noodles were amazing and cooked well. The eggplants had a nice bite to it (it's not soggy). The duck ka pow was still crispy and the sauce was really tasty! Some of my other favorites (didn't get them this time) are their pad thai and moo grob basil. I'm always satisfied after having food from Sisters Thai. Love love love it!

Yelp
Food is good. Service is regularly trash. I don't think anyone cares. We showed up with party of 12 and felt more apologetic about party size than anything else. Shouldn't our business be welcomed? Food came out at varying times and were auctioned off. The guest of honor- her food was completely forgotten and came out last after asking about it. I want to support small businesses. I hate that I'm leaving 2 stars, but service is consistently trash whether it's peak hours or slow. Green salad be unexpectedly good tho. Peanut dressing yum.
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying out Sisters Thai- nice ambiance with tradition decor, good service. My waiter recommended the Panang Curry- and it was delicious! Definitely a must try dish on a colder day.
google avatar

Yelp
First timer and this was the best Thai I have had on the east coast! The food portion are large and shareable and packed all the yummy Thai flavors. I felt like I was catapulted to Thailand for the two hours of dining. We sat outside and had impeccable service. Ordered drunken noodle Kapow fried rice with shrimp and a salad. There was an intimate vibe, inside and outside. I will definitely be back for another round of magnificent experience. #enjoygoodpeople

Yelp
Old time favorite in Fairfax City. I work two buildings away from the restaurant and often order from there. The restaurant itself is very cozy and always crowded during lunch. I often order the Kua Gai Noodle which is flat rice noodles with chicken, squid and egg. It's really good and the portion is big. Other than that they serve decent fried rice and phad thai.
google avatar

Esther A.

Yelp
Sooo soo good ! I'm a Thai fend and this place was soo yummy! I'll be coming back to this spot for future noms and already dreaming about the next time I can order the sister Thai fried rice. How can fried rice with cashews, pineapples, tomatoes, shrimp and chicken be soo freaking good?
google avatar

Akhash H.

Yelp
I went here for a casual dinner and I really liked the vibe here. The vibe was peaceful and small which I found very comfortable. The service was quick, taking the food only 18 minutes to arrive at my table. The food was magnificent. Each bite was a level of flavor beyond the next. I ordered the tofu kapow which was bursting with juice and flavor. Overall, you can expect to see me there again

Yelp
A friend and I went to Sister Thai on Saturday night. As always, it was on the spot in terms of food, service, and ambiance. I had Pad See Ee with chicken and my friend had Pottery Shrimp. We had crispy spring shrimp, satay and crispy pork roles. The Pad See Ee was quite good and it was populated with broccoli. We both had Thai iced tea as well. All in all, an excellent meal

Song P.

Yelp
Eating there is good. Be warned about pick up. 2 orders of the bikini shrimp and they actually sent me 1 that was over cooked and horrible. The 2 pictures say it all! Highly disappointed they would let this out the door.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
No complaints! Were seated quickly on a Sunday. Tried the pad see ew, pad Thai with extra egg, Tom Yum soup, chive dumplings, and drunken noodles. I loved the pad Thai, I mix in peanut sauce usually (my weird preference) and sisters Thai has amazing peanut sauce, it did not disappoint. The chive dumpling was ok, nothing wrong with it, just not my preferred appetizer, so I wouldn't get it again.

Yelp
I only have good things to say about Sisters Thai. From start to finish, we had an excellent experience. It was a rainy Mother's Day weekend and I was craving soup but wanted something a little bit spicy (and also wanted to avoid the crowds of Tysons or the Mosaic District). Sisters Thai in Old Town Fairfax scratched that itch. They serve up delicious soup (Tom Yum, to be precise) that it hot (temperature and spice-wise) and has tons of yummy ingredients including adorable tiny little baby mushrooms. As for the rest of the food: I have three little ones and, admittedly, sometimes they can be picky eaters, but even they give Sisters Thai their seal of approval! We all enjoyed the crispy spring rolls, Thai fried rice, and pad thai. Hubby and I were delighted with our Tom Yum and our Thai iced teas. He ordered the duck and, while he wasn't crazy about it (he said it was too dry), everything else was top-notch. The ambience is very warm and welcoming. The decor was elegant yet cozy, bohemian yet elevated (there's even a rendition of the Mona Lisa in the bathroom -- if that's not the utmost depiction of class, then I don't know what is.) The part of the dining room we were seated in is small and intimate with plenty of windows, hanging flowers, and string lights. The other half of the dining room looks more like a living room and has wall to wall bookshelves, comfy booths, plenty of framed photos/paintings, and flowers in vases. I can see why they call this location the "living room" -- and, to be honest, it totally works for them in the backdrop of historic Old Town Fairfax. "Charming" is an understatement. Service: we were running 15 minutes late for our reservation (it was raining heavily and traffic was a mess), but I called ahead to let them know that we would be a little late and they said it was no problem. Then, when we arrived, they had our table ready and were able to sit us immediately. Even though it was a busy Saturday night, we felt welcomed and well taken care of by all of the staff, especially our server, who brought out all of the food quickly and checked on us frequently to make sure everything was OK. We will be back to try some of their curries (they looked incredible) and are definitely looking forward to another wonderful experience soon!

Yelp
Beautiful decorations inside...love the old books! The bathroom was really pretty and I especially love it when creepy paintings watch me pee. Massaman Curry was delicious and so was the street food noodles. I asked for tofu Tom Kha but got chicken instead. It was still good and I'm not in the business of sending food back. I do forgive you guys!
google avatar

Megan N.

Yelp
What a cute "living room cafe" in old town Fairfax! The food was delicious. My group enjoyed the lunch special with app and entree. A couple people ordered the green curry and rated it highly. One found it spicy and the other two said it could be spicier so ymmv.

Pamela S.

Yelp
Over priced, but it's a nice treat. Food was better than other Thai I've had and restaurant was clean.
google avatar

Sophia N.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a ladies lunch or a date! The interior is so cute (including the bathroom!) and when their menu was a newspaper I was dying inside. I got the crispy spring rolls and the khao soi. Both were ok. I tried my sister's drunken noodle and it was lacking in spice for me. Another friend got a braised pork belly dish with a green leafy vegetable and that looked really good and I would like to try next time.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Come here for the weekday lunch deal! Only $11 for an entree and appetizer which is a STEAL in this economy. Service is fast and the restaurant was packed when I came on a random Thursday for lunch. Highly recommend. The Thai iced tea is quite good, too.

Yelp
Went to Sisters on a busy Sunday night. Thankfully we were able to be seated right away. Food was as you'd expect -- maybe it wasn't out of this world, but it was what you want out of your thai food cravings. They were out of a couple of the dessert and drink options my friends and I wanted, which made us sad for those brief moments in time, but our substitute choices were still really great. Friends like the dessert here more than Magnolia where their desserts are catered from, because here you get the best of both worlds, and "at least the cake is moist (during this hour since we came late)!" Service was good. No complaints there. All in all, if you want a nice thai meal, you can't go wrong with Sisters. Their locations are on theme and super cute. Will definitely come again.
google avatar

Jack D.

Yelp
This location is not ideal for dining in. Crowded and constant flow of people picking up orders. Understaffed. The food is great and reasonably priced. Pick-up orders do back-up on weekends so factor that in.

Yelp
I dined here on a whim with my mom and toddler son for dinner. My only experience prior had been lunch years ago, and I know how well-regarded Sisters Thai is so I was excited to return! The atmosphere is Super cute. It's called the "Living room" and vaguely resembles one with lots of unique seating, couches, and bookshelves and side tables. They do have booster chairs but they fit awkwardly on the seating options. Service was on the slower side but friendly. I ordered my son the pad se ew which is perfect for a toddler just getting used to Thai food as it is not spicy. The drunken noodles (ordered hot) had a great kick to it, and my mom enjoyed her pad Thai. Portions were large and lasted into the 3-meal range. We also enjoyed the chocolate mousse to go and it was delicious! It was very rich, very chocolatey, and the perfect way to end a delicious meal!
google avatar

Saba E.

Yelp
Good service and enjoyed the lunch special. I ordered the crispy wontons and drunken noodles.

Yelp
Good service, cute little restaurant ...bad bad food , the worse coconut soup yuk ... and the pad Thai was sweet and awful ! Also bad presentation.. No wonder the place was empty Don't waste your time .
google avatar

Maria N.

Yelp
I usually love this place as it is more flavorful than most of the Thai places in the area. But this last time was a disappointment. I order spicy chicken pad see ew to go with extra sauce. It was just mild! No spicy what so ever. I only like spicy Thai food. By the time I dig into it, I was already away of the restaurant. Also there wasn't extra sauce as requested. I even had them repeat my order to ensure it was right. Whatta Huge disappointment. I had to re-cook it when I went home to add more flavor and spice.

Came back here after 4 years or so and I have to say I still love this place ! I used to come here all the time when I was in college but since then I haven't really been back. Decided to come back here with friends and I have to say I am impressed that the quality of the food has not gone down and I still love the ambiance of this place ! Waitresses are always so kind and polite. I always get the drunken noodles here because it's so delicious !! If you're near by I recommend you trying the green curry, sisters friend rice or the drunken noodles (:

Yelp
Ambience is lovely but hard to bring a stroller if walking in with a baby (to be expected in Main Street). Food was great and service was okay.

Yelp
Sisters Thai is a small Thai restaurant that has an aesthetic interior with its hanging floral decorations and interior windows and mirrors. I ordered the Thai Tea ($4), Tod Mun (fish cakes) ($7) the Duck Curry ($17), and the Chocolate Matcha Cake ($6.50). Subtotal: $34.50. The tea came out within a minute, and the Tod Mun came out less than 2 minutes later. And the curry came out within 10 minutes. And the cake was out in a few minutes from ordering, as was the check when asked. Super speedy service! The Thai Tea is pretty subtle in flavor. I think I would've preferred it more if it was had a more poignant taste. The Tod Mun were nice. An interesting texture when you first bite into it (a lil rubbery that squeaked), but became a bite you came back for with an underlying spice. The curry was pretty creamy and came with big chunks of meat you could really bite into. The curry had a light spice kick and was dense and filled you up. The meat was tender, but the dish wasn't a particular standout. The cake was sorta dry and pretty uninteresting. If you aren't in super dire need for sweets, I'd suggest you skip dessert. It's a cute place and if you're looking for a pretty place that'll get you your food quick, I'd totally recommend this place! Otherwise, I don't think that the value is necessarily there in terms of experience and price.

Yelp
OMG, I can't believe I haven't heard about this place more, and I'm disappointed I haven't been here sooner! Sisters Thai was perfection. I went to the Fairfax location, which is small and cozy with a bookstore lining the back wall and lots of cute decor and fake plants all around. The service was good but it's the food that really shines. I've got to say this had to be one of the best chicken drunken noodles I've ever had--no exaggeration. The chicken is cooked perfectly, not dry or bland like a lot of chicken noodle dishes. The whole dish is just so dang flavorful. From the first bite I was hooked and by the end I was tearing up (from the spice) and still eating away because it was so good I couldn't stop! My mom had the cashew chicken which was simple, but also so good. We shared a mango and sticky rice for dessert which was equally amazing, plenty of coconut sauce and so good.

Yelp
Ordered satay chicken and it came out try. Also, ordered pad Thai and drunken noodles, portions came out small (dinner portions came out like lunch portions) and also protein content is low or none. Someone served half the order and someone else served the rest. We literally need to ask for more water.
