Maybe a 4? Atmosphere was really good, shuffleboard was fun when we got a chance to play. The good: they had a lot of different styles of beer. But: they were all just average, which was slightly disappointing. Sampled the an IPA, Hazy IPA, Irish Stout, and a sour. All tasted like they should, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Fun place to go, and I would give them another try.

Google
For the indecisive beer drinker! Low-pressure atmosphere with laid-back patient staff who are generous with both their time and beer. They want you to enjoy what you drink! And that shouldn't be too hard, considering their peanut butter stout might actually be even *better* than Dangerous Man's... Not a huge fan of the indoor seating or outdoor seating, actually, but that's just personal preference. Besides, most people come for the comedy anyway, right? Even if you're not here for the laughs, this great local brewery is just steps from the Walker and the Basilica, two places where alcohol can only improve your experience.

5 star comedy club and 4 star taproom with 2 star beer i feel very bad to say because they are nice and it's a fun place to hang out and a great place to see comedy. Parking can be a pain in tbe ass tho.

Great beers, had the Banana Boss Hefe and the Chido both were excellent. Fun games and good atmosphere too. Hope to go back for a mature comedy night on Thursdays at 8pm.

This is one of my favorite local breweries by far. The name it has a lot of philosophical history and definitely worth looking into. It will give the beer More depth. Puppy friendly 🐕😁. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕 Just a quick update on my experience, the beer just gets better and better and I have to say if you love anything barrel aged, peanut butter, or well balanced this is your spot !!

Google
Nice out of the way brewery next to Dunwoody College. With a variety of beers. There is also a comedy club here.

Google
We were walking around the Sculpture Garden when my bf spotted a sign that said craft beer this way. Smart advertising! A short walk up and bam, such a cute brewery space. We got some IPAs that were great. They also allow dogs inside so loved seeing all the dogs!

Tucked between the bustling Lyndale-Hennepin mess by the Basilica and Dunwoody college sits Sisyphus Brewing, a hidden gem of Minneapolis. With their comically named delicious beer and their weekly comedy nights, this brewery is sure coming up in the Minneapolis brewery scene and finding its niche. In this reviewer's opinion, Sisyphus is consistently a top 3 brewery in Minneapolis. If the taproom looks like it used to be some kind of gutted warehouse or factory, it's because it is. But not without its charm. The exposed brick walls offers a classic vintage feel, the bar itself is an old bowling lane (I think), and they recently put in some rather spacious wooden booths. The shuffle boards and board game offerings make it the perfect place to hangout with friends and family. Sisyphus is still a smaller brewery, but I think that comes with a big advantage for them: an ever-changing tap list. They typically only have 6-9 beers on tap, but when one runs out, they almost always have a backup ready to go, so you might see a changed list over one weekend. This, of course, has some drawbacks. If you really REALLY like one of their beers, there's always a chance it won't be on tap for a few weeks. But that means you get to try one of their another delicious beer. And that you have to come back, because it will be different again and again (gotta catch 'em all!). They always try to offer a tap list with varying styles and strengths so that every kind of beer drinker gets what they want. What kind of beers do they make? They make lighter beers like their "Anitsocial Apple Ale" (named by Sociable Ciderwerks), the traditional Belgian blond (recently made with various fruit infusions), or the citra hop session ale. And drinkable malty beers, like their Kentucky Common, or the "Argyle Penguin Amber" ale. And dark beers, like the "Safe Lady Peanut Butter Stout" (get it?), a traditional chocolatey-sweet porter, or their imperial brown. They make a whole slew of IPAs (I like to think that Sam, the head brewer, is a wizard with hops), like their all citra hopped IPA "The First Beer We Named," the west coast IPA made with wheat called "Isaac the Fax Man," an east-coast style that can only be named "Cloudy with a Chance of Yeastballs," or my personal favorite the "Bottlecap Mosaic" which is a pilsner brewed with mosaic hops (it is real good). They make amazing barrel-aged and imperial beers, like their birthday "Cake" beer, which is actually made with chocolate cakes. I could go on and on here, but the point is, they make traditional beers that are perfect within their own style, they play around with different hops and make vibrant IPAs highlighting each hop's unique flavors, they try and tackle all sorts of styles, and watch out because some of them are higher in ABV than you might think (delicious and dangerous). The staff are always friendly, the managers are awesome, the owners are so kind, the brewers know their stuff. I walked into Sisyphus on their opening day two and a half years ago and was stunned by how delicious their first beers were and they've been making some of the best beer in the city ever since.

Yelp
I don't know why you would go see stand-up comedy anywhere else in the Twin Cities. Sisyphus has it all: great beer, good prices, amazing comedy, arcade games, AND they are dog friendly!? I mean, come on. The comedy room is super comfy and intimate, and you can see some of the best touring comics in the country. As a self-proclaimed beer nerd girl, I can safely say that Sisyphus has some of the best taps in the city. A perfect place for a date night or getting together with a larger group of friends. Don't miss out!!

Yelp
My gf, cousins and I went to see the comedy show last night and it was great. There was a drunk couple in the front row across from us that were drinking & loudly rude, and constantly interrupted each of the comedians. It usually would be uncomfortable but each of the comedians would take good control of the situation and eventually had to ask them to leave THANK GOD because that couple was being horrible to the acts. I noticed they even wrote a bad review before the show even finished haha. We saw Tommy Brennan open up for Laura Peek who both did amazing, were consistently funny with solid timing, and hardly predictable punchlines. Cool place with a little arcade, board games and good customer service. Beers were decent but a small selection which makes sense since it's a small location. They have gluten free options which my cousin appreciated. Will come back again next time I'm in MN.

Yelp
Just a quick review for the comedy show room. We attended a show there that was part of a larger comedy festival. The room was well sized for the show - we did not feel overly crowded, but it still felt intimate allowing greater connection with the comics. I was not drinking alcohol that evening so I really appreciated the selection of non-alcoholic beverage. They offered a number of non-alcoholic brews in a can, which I really appreciated. The beers looked good but I can't speak for how they tasted.

Yelp
Awesome vibe awesome staff. Got dragged to a comedy show Friday and it's almost more of a comedy club than brewery. Wish I could rate it higher but the beer nerd girl pride in me can't do it. Very cozy very friendly lots of games but more of a waiting room for a comedy club with the quality of the beer.

Yelp
This place is more than just a brewery, as they have a comedy club in the back as well. When you enter, it is a large rectangle type setup, with a bar along one end and tables set up throughout, as well as a few booths. They have pinball games and shuffleboard as well. The back area that is a comedy club kind of mirrors the front rectangle, but set up with tables and chairs. Intimate, as you are not far from the small stage in any seat. There is also a bar running along the one end. They had 14 different beers on tap with a really nice variety of styles, even with a BA stout (very appreciated when places have that option even in the summer). Something for everyone. The beers are solid, the place is fun, and I'm happy to drink craft beer that is made on site while seeing a comedy show. For those reasons, this is a pretty special place, even if the beers aren't necessarily stand outs. Get the Scoopshot milkshake ipa, that is well executed. Service is super friendly too!

Yelp
Visited this place when I saw the sign adjacent to the Minneapolis Sculpture display advertising it. Was parched from walking around. Went in and got a hazy ipa. People inside were friendly and they had a good selection of beers

Yelp
They don't have much food there but what they make up for food is the wonderful atmosphere and the comedy room they have there. The amazing bartender is very knowledgeable about the drinks and they even have an Antisocial Apple Cider for those who just want to drink a hard cider in piece. I would highly recommend this place and they are LGBTQ+ Friendly and a nice ambiance to the place. They have arcades and pool tables so if you want just a nice place to hang or someplace you want to do you "sit down" Comedy skits, then this is the place. You will have a great time, I guarantee it!

Yelp
One of my favorite beer spots in the cities for sure. They have amazing beers. I'm never disappointed by their beers. I always go with the flight and I'm always happy with the wide variety of delish beers! I love the peanut butter porter. Check out their comedy room in the back. Thursday nights they have free open mic nights. Cheers friends!

Yelp
Heaven forbid you tell a standup comedian the suck, you will be kicked out! This is the worst brewery ever! Avoid at all costs! Well unless you have an issue with emotions like the people that work here. It's a sensitive brewery but the comedians can offend the audience

Yelp
I finally got to check out the comedy room and it was such a fun time! Tickets are cheap (only $15pp), parking is free, and I loved the casual cozy vibe of the comedy area. It was nice to have a bar nearby and easy to grab water as well. The comedians were pretty funny that night and kept things moving. Well worth the $15 date night, so fun! We'll be back!

Yelp
On my way to downtown I made a pit stop at Sisyphus Brewing. They have a lovely comedy club, a welcoming space, and friendly atmosphere that makes you want to pull a stool up to the bar and strike up a conversation. Mosaic Session IPA: An IPA with a sessionable ABV, but all the lovely Mosaic character. Ilbody is lighter than most IPAs, but still has mouthfeel to it. A slight hair, but can still see through it. Tropical notes of pineapple and papaya. A great patio crusher for sure. Peanut Butter Stout: A stout that tastes like a spoonfuls of peanut butter with lines of chocolate syrup in it. Bittersweet with nutty flavors and aromas. Medium in body, so not chewy or cloying. One of the better takes on the style. _______

Yelp
Visited Sisyphus for a group event so we were in the back bar area to the left of the entrance and we all had a great time! I was super appreciative that they offered tastes/sips so that you could see if you liked certain drinks. I tried a taste of the pineapple vanilla IPA (something I probably would not have usually ordered) and it was so good that I ordered the full glass! It was surprisingly sweet and bright, and thankfully not too hoppy. Super fun and cozy space. It looked like they had some board games in the main area as well. A smaller menu than some other breweries I've seen but it seems super nicely curated so you can be confident that no matter what you order it will be good! A nice selection of NA bevs as well.

Yelp
We visited Sisyphus for a small group event in the back/side room. It was quiet and cozy for our group - we brought in a cheese-tasting class and had a great time! I believe they use this room for trivia mostly - there was a little stage and great acoustics in this room. We all grabbed a drink and I had the cider. It was crisp and very light, a little dry but plenty sweet for my palate. The menu was pretty small, but they also had a lot of NA bev offerings! Almost every drink had a different glass which was fun too!

Yelp
After meandering the sculpture garden, my bestie and I found ourselves thirsting for a deliciously cold brew. So we made our way to Sisyphus Brewing to imbibe a bit before making our way back to the 'burbs! SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: So fun! For starters they have pinball machines along the wall as you first entered, a wall made from repurposed barrel staves, and tons of seating for every type of drinker/group! We chose a fairly private booth to hang out in and it made for a great spot to people watch and catch up. Their taproom is also dog-friendly so don't forget your furry friend. BREWS: Sisyphus Brewing has a tap menu that is bound to have something appealing for everyone. Both my bestie and I chose to sip on Neverlasting Gobstopper, a cherry blueberry sour. Yum! I tend to steer clear of brews that include cherry, they almost always taste like cough syrup - not this one! It was wonderfully balanced with the perfect amount of mouth watering tartness. BITES: While they don't have a kitchen, they do also have a variety of snacks for sale to satisfy the hungriest of bellies. SERVICE: The beertender here was super friendly and made great conversation as we placed our order. While we didn't spend a ton of time interacting it was def a positive experience. MERCH: During our visit they had a great variety of merch including flannels, shirts, tanks, growlers, and more! So don't forget to show your support. Sisyphus Brewing was a great spot to grab a brew before making out way back to Coon Rapids. I'll gladly come back next time I'm in town to check out more of their delicious brews. Cheers, Minneapolis!

Yelp
3.5 stars for the parking and building. 2 for the beers, 1 for the garbage they're pushing. If I had a dollar for every woke brewery in this city pushing mediocre beers I'd be a millionaire. The building, location, parking all actually pretty awesome. The free comedy on the weekends, fantastic. Not necessarily the comics, but it's certainly something to do. Honestly I'm just tired of turning every corner and seeing some sort of political statement from beer companies, breweries, and distilleries. When I was a kid, bars and breweries were places people gathered regardless of their views to enjoy food, booze, and games. Now they're all just one woke agenda in the same and this one is no different.

Yelp
This place has terrible customer service. We were told to leave last week after our dog randomly barked every 20 minutes. No notice that only quiet dogs allowed. This is fine if it's clear, it was not. We were literally served beers and then told to leave. Upon calling management the next morning to voice our dissatisfaction, there was no acknowledgement of there error and instead were again completely rude to a paying customer. There's lots of other welcoming breweries in Mpls. Where they treat their customers well! Do not bring your dogs or loud children here!

Yelp
Made a quick stop here after a museum visit to get away from the heat. Straight forward tap room that isn't very large, but still has seating available on a Friday afternoon. Tried two beers while here: "Peanut Butter Jackpot!" and "Tilt Warning" ($6 each). The former is exactly as you would expect - a dark stout with peanut notes and a sweet finish. The latter is a hazy IPA that's full-bodied; would definitely lend to some snacks if having any. Speaking of which, the same snacks are available here as many of the other breweries around (seemingly the same set of popcorn and pretzel options). Only a couple bartenders manning the shop, but were able to get orders filled without a sweat. Recommended stopover of in this part of town.

Yelp
Writing to comment about Shannon O.'s review. I was there when her party and her dog came in. There are signs that say if your dog is disruptive you will be asked to leave, but even if there aren't signs that say that that is how every business works dogs or no. If you or your party are disruptive, you will be asked to leave. That's basic stuff for being in public. Insane for Shannon to think her dog should be an exception. I was annoyed with the dog in the non-show room because it kept barking and they didn't seem to make much effort to stop it or give the dog attention. After some barking I looked back at her party and one of her friends mouthed "I'm sorry". The friend seemed uncomfortable to be involved in such a clearly obnoxious and disruptive scene. Shannon must not have cared. I went into the showroom to see if I could hear the dog, and sure enough during the comics sets the dog was barking loud and clear. In my opinion the staff should have said something sooner, and as soon as they said something shannon should have realized "oh, I can't stop my dog from disrupting the show, I should probably leave". Instead she felt entitled to ruin the show. They also had PLENTY of time to drink their drinks, this wasn't a 10 minute thing this was over a period of an hour. The last line of her review speaks volumes. She STILL feels entitled to bring loud kids to a BREWERY at night with a comedy show going on! YES IF THEY ARE LOUD AND DISRUPTIVE THEY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE why would they not?!?!?! That is EVERY BUSINESS! Glad Shannon won't be back, but I hope reasonable people realize her review is worthless.

Yelp
Sisyphus is a unique brewery/comedy club. I loved my Sunday afternoon in the taproom enjoying a peanut butter stout and board games with friends. With the number of games available at Sisyphus, it's essentially a board game cafe where you don't have to pay an extra fee! They've also got shuffleboard and pinball. Something that caught my attention on their website was the "About Sisyphus" section. The owner writes so much eloquently about the meaning of his business's name. They go on to share about mental health and encourage others to seek help. What a remarkable message. I appreciate the vision behind Sisyphus! Things to know: - Dog-friendly bar! - Can get loud with the chatter, dogs, and echo but they added foam to the bottom of the tables to control the noise. - No kitchen, but snacks are available - The bar includes board games, pinball, and shuffleboard - Comedy club events weekly - Event room available for rent - The taproom is a bright and sunny space during the day - Located close to the sculpture garden - recommend stopping by check this area too!

Yelp
The Peanut Butter Porter! OMG! AH-MAH-Zing!! I used to say I don't like beer, but I really think I shouldn't be saying that anymore. Initially sour beers were my thing, but coming here I love everything! The Antisocial apple is smooth. Easy drinking. But the Peanut Butter Porter is so delicious! I think I like porters now too. It tastes just like peanut butter in beer form. You can order food from nearby joints! Urban Sub, Galactic Pizza, Red Savoy, Amazing Thailand, Pizza Luce...which we ordered. Yum! This place is fun, comfy, and yummy! I'm coming back soon!

Yelp
This is our favorite brewery within biking distance. Dog friendly inside really is the selling point. They also have a variety of different activities at the brewery that are fun for us and the pup. Love playing shuffleboard and whatever random games they have. I hope they continue to add to the game collection as we've seen fewer and fewer with all the pieces over the summer. Just need a majority of to make it work. Love this place overall!

Yelp
I love when I visit places on my travels that make out-of-towners feel right at home. Sisyphus is one of those places. The bartender (I believe his name was Samuel) was everything I expect from a local craft brewery bartender: friendly, funny, and super knowledgeable about beer. He even impressed me by dropping the names of some of his favorite Miami/Florida breweries that I'm also a fan of. After a long morning of air travel, I asked for a beer that was light-tasting but would give me a good buzz. The recommended Replay #4 did not disappoint. I also had a taste of the Peanut Butter Jackpot. It was surprisingly really good! Next time I'm in the Twin Cities, I'll definitely be returning to Sisyphus.

Yelp
Great dog friendly brewery where the employees are super friendly and generally never crowded. Pretty much my go to brewery because of the close proximity to my house but I enjoy their beer so much that I would frequent here regardless and it being dog friendly makes it a no brainer A+ hangout spot in my book. You can get a variety of brews here unlike some breweries where it's IPA or bust. They even concoct some interesting flavors like their peanut butter stout which I love and a cake batter beer the taste is pretty spot on. But their staple Lagers stouts pilsners IPA's and sours are all across the board great beers. Inside space is comfortable with a section for two shuffle board tables and a wall of pinball machines. A good amount of Board games are also available we even ended up purchasing two of them later after playing them at the brewery( Catan, sequence). Music is a good volume loud enough to enjoy but not blaring where you can't have a conversation with someone across the table. Outdoor space could use some work as it's only a couple of picnic tables no umbrellas so there's no shade but a good spot to soak up the sunshine if the temps allow. Check this place out it's a great place to spend the afternoon.

Yelp
I love exploring new breweries and there are always so many to choose from in the Twin Cities. I read about the Gobbstopper beer here and was excited to check it out. I've driven by the surplus garden hundreds of times but never realized there was a brewery close by. My friend and I were debating over how to pronounce the name on the drive over. I was glad to see the story with the name and the pronunciation at our table! There was free off street parking which is a plus. This isn't a huge brewery and is quaint. There are plenty of pinball machines though and I liked all the wooden booths. It wasn't too loud inside which was really nice. I tried the gobstopper and it was really good but I also got the Cam Cam wonderland milkshake IPA and it was so delicious! I loved it and it might be one of my favorite beers. It had cherry, blueberry, raspberry and vanilla. Although their selection isn't huge, I love how they are trying new things with the beer they have and it's unique. Overall, I really liked this brewery and it's worth checking out!

Yelp
Cant go wrong choosing a beer at Sisyphus! Very modern looking brewery. You can build your own flights for $3 a beer! I had nothing bad to say about any of the beers I tried. The Flagship IPA was probably my favorite with the Bottlecap as being a close second. Bartender was kind and helpful

Yelp
Sisyphus Brewing was the perfect place for our launch of a new novel, "Lost Colony: The Hennepin Island Murders." The room we used - where Sisyphus regularly hosts comedy acts - was ideal for our crowd of about 100: cozy, but roomy; equipped with a great sound system, including mikes, that worked beautifully as well as a stage and screen; plus the option to bring in trays of appetizers and desserts, while their expert bartender served Sisyphus brews and non-alcoholic options. The owners and staff were GREAT to work with: clear communication, accommodating to questions and site visits, and very friendly. In short, they made hosting the event easy and fun. Sisyphus played a big part in making our event a success!

Yelp
Met a friend/coworker for happy hour. The space is great - and much larger than I expected with the additional spaces I didn't see until I used the restroom. It was very loud though I could tell they knew that and were working on it based on the foam under our table. I appreciated that they were working to address that. Beers were solid, not the best in town for me, but I was not disappointed. Have some snack pretzels available as well, which is appreciated. The space has a nice vibe, and I am glad I visited. I would happily return.
google avatar

Mandy P.

Yelp
Came here for a comedy show and it was so fun! We'd never heard of the comedians before but all of the acts were very funny. This was a fun spot and the beers were tasty. Would definitely catch another show here for $20 and check out the pinball machines they have in the bar area.
google avatar

Ally M.

Yelp
One of the best low key brewery/comedy shows you'll find in Minneapolis. Usually I'm not a fan of stand up comedy, but the shows I've seen here are hilarious. Don't be fooled when you first walk in and it looks small, the comedy room is around back. Beer is reasonably priced and bartenders are very friendly. Get cheap tickets online for the bigger names, otherwise it's free on amateur night. I definitely recommend giving this a try!

Yelp
The beer here is LEGIT. We travel frequently and also hit several breweries. This one stands out in the top 5. We had two flights and tasted 7 out of the 10 available beers, AND a yet to be released stout finished in a bourbon barrel, and ALL were amazing. The sours were crisp, bright and fruity (and I could drink Everlasting Gobstepper all night long!), my husband loved the IPAs, especially the New England Hazy style, and we both agreed the brown ale and stouts were delicious. The space itself is fantastic. Clean and open, with plenty of seating, 4 awesome pinball machines, 3 of which are in the the top ten of World's Best, two shuffleboard tables, and a large shelving unit stuffed with games. There was also an open mic standup comic show going on, we didn't pop in, but there were people so excited to be there to perform and to watch. The atmosphere was great. The owner and tap tender were in charge that Friday night, and both were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to serve - a rarity, especially in these tough times. They don't have food. Everything and anything delivers there, and they had lots of suggestions. Our food was delivered and Sisyphus provided plates, napkins and utensils, which was AWESOME, as our food came with NONE! Next time we're in the cities, even though there are dozens of other breweries and even if it's a bit out of the way(we normally stay in Plymouth with family,) we'll return to Sisyphus. We went in for one flight and ended up staying until last call. Great brewery!
google avatar

Yelp
In this part of town there are a few breweries to choose from. Sisyphus makes for a great stop if you're planning on hitting a couple 2 or 3. It doesn't seem to have the square footage of a lot of other places, but they have done a great job in establishing social distancing while keeping the vibe comfortable and intimate. The beers are great, it's dog friendly, they have a selection of pinball games and board games. From what I understand, they have a 2nd overflow room. It's probably called something else. A room for private events or something. Anyway, they have live stand-up comedy. I mean, I don't know of many breweries that offer that. I must come back on their comedy night!
google avatar

Kiaya G.

Yelp
Love this spot! It's a great area because you can also check out the sculpture garden and it isn't in a super busy location. The beer is great and you can bring dogs here! It's a very inviting atmosphere and all are welcome. Nightly recommend checking out BLINGO on Tuesday! It's a hoot and such a fun time AND it's free! The only recommendation is to turn the air up in the comedy area. It got a little toasty in there with the warm Minnesota summers.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been visiting this brewery for the last 1.5 years with my husband. One time, we snowshoed here after a blizzard since driving wasn't a good option, that's dedication! Then we realized that it was a Tuesday. What's on Tuesday? BLINGO with B. Louise. I won a shirt and a beer! Excellent day. Do you have a dog? Well they're welcomed here! We proudly brought our pup here and enjoyed our second favorite thing at Sisiphus, shuffleboard. They have the best boards of the breweries I've been too. And if course, the beer. They're a smaller business but their selection is always changing which means there's always something new to try! If you like it enough, get it in a crowler. Then when you're full of beer you can walk it off across the street at the Walker sculpture garden. Guaranteed to provide you a perfect date night

Yelp
Biking around the area, we decided to stop by for a drink. They do have a few tables out on the sidewalk so you can do outdoor seating! I absolutely loved their neverlasting gobstopper sour (key lime and guava) and the peanut butter jackpot (pb stout). Very different types of beers so I was very impressed that I enjoyed both as much as I did. Check their website and Instagram to see what new beers they have coming! Street parking available and also a small parking lot in the back. Even with the COVID madness, I did feel pretty safe and the staff were great at answering questions and keeping things clean!

Yelp
Solid brewery! Just stopped in here today (6:30 on a Friday) and there is a solid crowd here--not too packed but quite a few groups of people having meetings or hanging out after work. The space is pretty cool, they have board games, shuffleboard, and some pinball machines. They also have comedy shows here in a separate room! I tried The Banana Boss, the Replay #3 New England IPA, and the Churro Imperial Brown Ale. All good! My favorite was definitely the brown though, they have cinnamon infused in it and it tastes like you are drinking a liquid churro-so yummy! I haven't had anything like it before.

Yelp
Many points are in Sisyphus' favor not the least of which being they are a dog-friendly brewery which, as a dog-owner, is almost a must when looking for local watering holes. Sisyphus sets itself apart from it's brewery brethren by also being a local comedy spot --- hosting national names as well as local names! They also are known to host local events, winter markets, even fundraisers! But for the average beer drinker, it's also a great place to sit and have a beer with friends. The beer itself is also worth mentioning and always rotates in order to provide you with seasonal treats as well as year-long favorites. I come here on Wednesdays for trivia as well so be sure to mark your calendar! Looking forward to keeping this spot in my Usual book for a long time to come!

Yelp
We used our @sidewalkdog brewery pass to check out a new brewery this weekend! I had the AntiSocial Apple Ale Fruit Beer (very tasty!) We also had lunch from their onsite food truck @finermeatseats --the French Fries were SUPER yummy! They also have a shuffleboard game which was fun...but much harder than it looks!!! Overall it's a cute, bright, and quiet little brewery! It was a Saturday afternoon and we easily found (free) street parking.

Yelp
Sampled the blueberry blonde ale, raspberry wheat ale, safe lady stout, barrel room coffee stout, and the pineapple vanilla ipa. Had to go with the last one. The pineapple and vanilla were nicely balanced without overpowering one another. Some of the reviewers mentioned a lack of food options. The Finer Meats & Eats food truck stood outside by the patio and I ordered their seasoned fries .. no complaints. Well one complaint - 2 dinky spots in the north side parking and a 10 car parking lot on the south side.

Yelp
Was at Lakes and Legends earlier for a dog event and researched and dogs allowed inside. Yes! Saturday afternoon was not busy here and I sampled these: Uffda Pils, ok 2.5 rating, Anti Social Apple Ale, a fruit beer ok. What surprised me is their stouts I really enjoyed. Peanut Butter Jackpot was really good and Cake Beer. I also tried Weeliam Wallace a scotch ale and really liked. Another thing I liked are 4 oz pour options. I also bought a bakery pretzel with mustard and a bandana for my well behaved dog. The service was friendly and they have event space for a comedy club. The location was on a side street by Dunwoody. If in area again will probably return. The stouts were good.

Yelp
You know when you're getting off 94 coming into Uptown and you see that A-frame sign that says "Beer is better than traffic" (or something to that general effect)? I'm so glad we took that sign to heart! Sisyphus is a tucked away gem nestled between the Sculpture Garden, Loring Park, and the Dunwoody College of Technology. They have a rotating selection of 7-8 taps of all varieties. None of the varieties are too crazy creative but they have really good flavor. So far my favorites are the Belgian Blonde and the Black Ale with coffee - fun fact: they pour fresh French pressed coffee in the black ale to do this! The tap room is pretty laid back and a great setting for groups of many sizes. They don't have food their but they do have some menus available for restaurants that deliver. They have a great card and board game selection for your hanging out needs as well as a couple pinball machines. And the most important part - the tap room IS dog friendly! Street parking is free and has been fairly easy to find every time we've been. But when the weather's nice just hop on a Nice Ride and drop it off in Loring Park. The only downside here is that you don't necessarily know which taps are going to be available that day. So if you find one you like, make sure to grab a crowler! ($4 for the crowler itself the first time and then $7-$9 to refill depending on the beer.) Cheers!

Yelp
Alright Sisyphus, you had me at no crowd and peanut butter stout. You also had me at dogs welcome and bring your own food. Basically, Sisyphus, you just have me. I was experiencing my very first Minnesota winter (I can't believe you guys do this EVERY year) and the cabin fever was starting to sink in. We wanted to get out of the house for the night but needed something low key and warm. This place was cozy (warm, check) and empty (low key, check) and all of the above qualities. I tasted a bit of the winter warmer and thought I found the beer of my dreams. Especially since I really am not a big beer fan. But oooooohhhhh mahh gahhhhhhd. That's a good beer. Not heavy at all and dang you can taste that cinnamon. It's like you are holding a hot cup of tea sitting by the fire reading a good book. But, alas, you are in a bar, drinking a cold beer hoping that dog at the table next to you wanders over. I toggled between the Winter Warmer and the Peanut Butter stout that truly tastes like peanut butter, but is still somehow not heavy. I thought it might be too much for a full pint but really, it was perfect. Paired wonderfully with my Jimmy John's sub I had delivered. I really liked this place. I'd come back in a heartbeat next time I'm in town.

Yelp
I have been meaning to check this place out for a few weeks. I guess they have been around from 3-4 months. It might be a bit difficult to find, but street parking is free since there really aren't too many other business near. I will say the story of how they came up with the name is pretty accurate and thoughtful. I had to laugh at the explanation, and the lumberjack logo is brilliant! Currently there were only 3 brews on tap, so I always go with flight first. I really wanted to like the Black Ale, but I do not drink coffee. So, this one was out immediately. The winner for me was the lighter Oatmeal Pale Ale beer. I think this has a super chill atmosphere, starting with the greeting at the door by a dog. The taproom is a long room with a beautiful wood bar, 2 shuffleboard games, and many tables to chat while playing one of many board games.

Yelp
I have read some of the reviews of this place. As much as I love Yelp! I hate that people leave a negative review for parking at a restaurant/brewery. This restaurant is in the Wedge/Lowry Hill/Loring Park neighborhood, literally right next door to the Walker's sculpture garden. Parking is absolutely going to be terrible. But if you're going to the Walker, you need to stop by Sisyphus. They have some of the best beer in the city, fun games, easy, low maintenance atmosphere, etc. They have outdoor picnic benches to sit outside and often times try to have a food truck so you can even get a bite to eat. In my opinion this brewery goes above and beyond the call of duty for a typical brewery. Love it!

Yelp
Fun place with great staff, great beer and fun atmosphere. Hubby tried a flight and since I'm not a fan of beer our beer sommelier took it as a personal challenge to find me something to drink. I loved their Mrs. Sisyphus, a fruity beer that tasted more like a cider. They don't serve food but are handy with the menus of various restaurants that deliver so that's a plus!! I highly recommend this engaging and fun brewery!!

Yelp
This is a review for the overall experience here, not simply for their beer. The full "taproom" experience is incredible- you've got great people behind the bar (Here's looking at you Alvin, you dog whisperer), great patrons alongside you, an awesome and totally chill space that is never full, its DOG friendly!!!!!, and of course they are pouring some good beers out of their taps. They have a second space adjacent that is a comedy club, and it seems to be happening over there. If you want to chill out and relax on your own, arrive around 7:50/8:10, as the comedy gets going at 8 and the main taproom thins out. But, if you're feeling social the patrons and barkeeps are all friendly folk and are happy to have a conversation. Every time I've been here I've felt welcome and comfortable, and that my business is appreciated. This goes really far in my book, there are some great people running this place. And, lets not forget the reason we come here, to drink some good brews. There is literally something for everyone on their taplist. It's so good to see a brewery doing a wide range of beer, especially so in this age of extreme specialization. Not here at Sisyphus (badass name by the way, these folks must have been humanities majors!!!), no here if you want a traditional German Marzen, you've got it. Feeling trendy? They've got you covered with milkshake IPA's (definitely not my thing, but maybe it's yours?), they even have Belgians (my personal favorite) and this is admirable because as a brewer myself I know how much space and time these beers take up in the brewhouse. Way to go Sisyphus for having saisons and dubbels on tap for us!!!! If you've read this far you get the idea that this place is special. Just stop reading and head to Sisyphus and experience it for yourself.
