Sivada’s Cupcakery

Wonderful, giant cupcakes. They were moist and the icing is flavorful without being overly sweet. The tiramisu tastes authentic, creme brulee has that burnt crust, and the wedding cake has an amaretto kick. Some more of our favs were hummingbird, chocolate raspberry, and coconut.

New favorite bakery!!! Got an assorted cupcake delivery for my birthday, and OMG they are so good! The cake is so soft and moist, and the icing is so soft and light. Not that grainy/hard/ultra sweet kind you get in a lot of other places. Pictured are: triple chocolate, creme brulee, chocolate mousse, strawberry, and red velvet. I loved every single one and will definitely be ordering more in the future

Creme Brulee is a must have! I split it with a friend and we both were like, This Is Really Good!!! Dont ask me how she split the raspberry but she did and it was a nice touch to add to the flavor profile. I really wanted to give this 5 stars but my chocolate and peanut butter was very dry, may have been a bad batch, I'm willing to try it again and up date my review. The service was good, I was given a clear description of which cupcakes are on either side of the kiosk.

These cupcakes melted me. I had the Red Velvet, crème brûlée, and the Wedding Cake. My favorite was a close call between the crème brûlée or the Wedding Cake.

Heard so many good things about Sivida’s Cupcakery and finally tried it! Love the crème brûlée cupcake—it’s light, fluffy, and has the perfect crème brûlée flavor. My boyfriend ordered a dozen of these cupcakes for my birthday last week. And let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised. 4 creme brulee, 4 cheese cake, 2 snickerdoodle, & 2 birthday cupcakes did not stand a chance! I’m not really one for sweets but these cupcakes are hard to pass. You can tell that quality ingredients are used and they aren’t filled with artificial sweeteners. We will definitely be returning customers. Thank you Sivada for making my special day one to remember!

Service was excellent. Place was clean and cute little shop. All cupcakes are beautifully displayed. Cupcake itself was good, icing was extremely sweet. Take this from a sweet lover, and a person who loves icing. Cupcakes are my fave sweet and the cake is only to get the icing in my mouth... it wasn't my fave icing. But overall good experience even though I personally wouldn't get the cupcakes again. You should try them yourself because you may love them.

Came across this place while walking around Avondale. Decided to pick up treats for our girls. So many delicious options to choose from and the employee who helped us was very kind and helpful. My girls tried the birthday cake cupcake and the triple chocolate cupcake. Their reviews in their own words were "birthday cake was smooth and yummy" and the chocolate cupcake is "moist, delicioso, and chocolatey." Lol (They're 6 and 8 years old)

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and bought 6 cupcakes. We immediately had a cupcake when we got home and knew this was now our go-to bakery when we want some sweet treats. The store is so nice and welcoming and the cupcakes were very good! They are just sweet enough (not overly sweet) and the icing is perfection. We will be back...probably very soon.

Amazing cupcakes! Stumbled across this cute cupcakery on our way back to our car and stopped to try. We both had the pumpkin spice with cream cheese icing and it was 10/10. Incredibly moist and delicious. Highly recommend. Very hard to come by a really good cupcake bakery and this is definitely one of them!! Friendly service too!

My favorite cupcake bakery is +1,000 miles away, in IL. When I came across this business recently, I bookmarked it thinking it's probably going to disappoint despite the almost 5 stars because I'm particular about my cupcakes. I like them moist and not too sweet. I've been to several cupcake places in JAX and they're either too sweet, too dry, or both. I've even had one that was too oily. The bakery is located in the shops of Avondale and website states they have 16 flavors daily. I arrived shortly after opening hours and some of the flavors were out. They still had over a dozen flavors to choose from but there are at least three flavors that were unavailable. The person ahead of me must have ordered at least a dozen. One cupcake is $3.25, and there's a slight discount when buying more. I decided to do 4 cupcakes since that was my first time here. The filled cupcakes were the same prices as the classic, nonfilled ones. I ordered a creme brulée, boston creme, cheesecake, and tiramasu. All were moist, had the perfect amount of sweetness, and flavors were on point. They were filled in the center as well as horizontally, which is unique from other places. Service was nice but slightly rushed. Suggestion is to get there early to ensure better selection. The cupcakes are delicious and is the real deal. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other flavors.

I agree with Leah A...these cupcakes were delicious!! We were walking around Avondale and just happened to see this little shop and I had to run in and try some cupcakes. They have regular ones then kinda deluxe cupcakes too, that have been split with fillings added. I got Wedding Cake (Almond) cupcake- holy delicious, so so so good! Moist, but it was the strong Almond flavor that stole my heart! Even the frosting had a lovely almond flavor, I loved it! Cherry cheesecake- yum!! Vanilla cupcake with a cheesecake center, it was very good too, and you got the perfect bite if you could get a touch of cherry too Would def get more next time I was close!

I thought I would update my review since their relocation to St. Johns Ave from Herschel over a year ago. You can find my favorite cupcakery on the main drag among The Shoppes of Avondale in a small corner. Since the first time I tried Sivada's cupcakes visiting from Los Angeles almost 10 years ago, I was always searching for a comparable cupcakery on the west coast. I just couldn't find one with better cupcakes offered here at Sivada's. That's saying a lot since L.A. is a food Mecca especially when it comes to pastries and desserts. And I had tried all of the cupcake shops searching for the perfect cupcakes that were consistently delish. That's the key: Consistent. Delicious. I have seen Sivada's cupcakes represented at many special events in and around Jacksonville such as weddings, fashion shows and charity events. They've also been featured in the local media, various blogspots, youtube, and the baking channel over the years so don't let the humble little location fool you. Alex Davis (owner & baker) has a reputation for creating the most delicious seasonal, specialty and traditional cupcakes. I don't play when it comes to my desserts and when I'm in the mood, I know I will never be disappointed with getting my cupcake fix here. This is a hidden gem in the old Pulp location in Avondale. They have classics and some extra fancy cuppy cakes! I had one that was chocolate and delightful. Like a million versions of chocolate in one yummy treat. The cupcakes are pretty big. The shop is cute and clean. Few seats inside and outside. I'd definitely go back.

As far as I'm concerned, these are the ONLY cupcakes worth making a trip for! You will never be disappointed. Go early! They go fast!!!

I splurged on cupcakes for my birthday. The birthday cake cupcakes they delivered tasted like strawberry which i did not like at all. I called them and told the, and they did nothing, no apology, no replacement. Nothing.

The best hands down! Awesome selection, Staff are always willing to help. Store front, very clean. Great alternative to traditional wedding cakes!

This is an adorable little cupcake shop in the heart of Avondale. They have "delicacy" style and original style cupcakes. When you walk through the door the display case is right up front. With cupcakes styles split by the register. There were small tables and chairs to eat on site. I ordered the Tiramisu and Banana Pudding cupcakes, they were beautifully decorated. I ate the tiramisu cupcake. It was good, the top was dusted with cocoa powder. The inside was filled with mascarpone like cream and the cupcake itself was marble with a little bit of coffee soaked. I do wish it was a little stronger with the coffee flavor and they stayed away from the chocolate in the cupcake. Traditional tiramisu is light lady fingers soaked in coffee liqueur and topped with layers of mascarpone crème. I don't think the chocolate blended well with the diluted coffee flavor. However the filling was amazing. Not too sweet and just enough to make this a "meal" cupcake.

Well I consider myself a cupcake connoisseur of sorts and Sivada's scores high points in my book. Sivada's is tucked away in a seemingly secluded little spot. I have been here a few times and I always get a box of 4 (who gets just one cupcake?) The cheesecake, strawberry, carrot, wedding cake, coconut are my usual choices. The star of the show is definitely the Cheesecake. It is unmistakably "cheese cakey", moist and not excessively sweet. Sivada's is definitely in my top 3 spots to get cupcakes in Jacksonville. If you like desserts as much as I do seek this place out and give them a shot I don't think you will be disappointed.

I happened to run in to this shop on accident and absolutely loved the cupcakes. They were so good that I had to bring my mom the next day to try her cupcakes. I purchased the banana pudding and a cherry cheesecake cupcake and loved both! I absolutely will be returning again!

Excellent cupcakes! The cupcakery is very popular on Fleming Island and have many cupcake options. Hubby and I love their creme brulee, boston cream, strawberry, and banana cupcakes.

I found you again . I was strolling avondale and noticed a familiar logo so I almost ran over to see what was happening. As always I see those huge mouth watering cupcakes again. I ordered a Tiramasu mmmm a chocolate Ganache and a Boston Creme. All delightful but I would certainly be back for the Tiramasu again soon since I found your new location..

This is our second time here, and how is it even better than the first?! The selection is awesome - they've got your classics AND super fun options, like Creme Brûlée and Boston Cream. The service is quick and friendly and the cupcakes themselves are moist, fluffy and delicious.

Ordered a dozen cupcakes from Sivada's to pick up on our way through town to Amelia Island for a birthday weekend. We got Strawberry, Triple Chocolate, Red Velvet w/ Chocolate frosting, Wedding Cake & Neapolitan. So far, each one has been so moist and delicious! The frosting might be the best cupcake frosting I've ever had. My favorite cupcake flavor is strawberry and this cupcake did not disappoint!! Can't wait to eat the rest! Oh - and they are BIG!! Bigger than most cupcakes I've had from other bakeries.

I've gotten a cupcake from this cupcakery the last two times I've been in Jacksonville. They are AMAZINGLY delicious. Last time I got a creme brulee cupcake that was unbelievably amazing, and this time I got a German chocolate cupcake that's just as awesome. The owner is super genial as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun snack while exploring the St. John's Street area.

My friend brought me those high quality fancy cupcakes . This was my first time try this cupcakes but "OMG". Breathtaking good.... my favorite was crime brûlée's. Super duper good!! Highly recommend!!

Wow !!!!!! I really liked this place . I walked in prior to eating lunch because I parked in front of their store . And right away it had that great bakery smell and I was treated by a great person with a huge smile. I seen how many cupcakes there was and thought there would be plenty. Ate lunch and walked back by and stopped in and about 3/4 of what was there was out wow that was fast and the nice young lady said they sell fast. I ended up getting wedding cake and it was amazing . I highly recommend stopping to get on and the price was very reasonable .

I got these cupcakes for someone's birthday at work only one minor mix-up on the flavors but when it comes to taste these are probably my favorite very light very fluffy if you're one of those people who like sweets but not really really sugary sweets then this is the cupcake for you.. and I love the display with a little extra muffin tops on top

Went here to get cupcakes for my wife's birthday...she loves cupcakes... me well not usually. However these cupcakes were delicious and a big hit for her party. It is great to know a local shop where I can now get a sweet treat that not only my wife enjoys but even I do as well. The customer service both on the phone and in person was also top notch. I would really this place to anyone looking for a great dessert or a special way to celebrate an event.

This branch of Sivada's opened up here in the Carmike Cinema plaza this month. It's a nice location, not as hidden as the one in JAX. The inside seating area is much bigger than the JAX store and is much more inviting. They've got the usual cupcakes, normal and specialty, and coffee that was seen at the JAX store. I decided on island carrot this time. Wow it's a heavy one! Dense with all of the ingredients (carrot, pineapple, cream cheese) and so so good. The creme cheese frosting is some of the best I've ever had. It is a $2.75 cupcake, so their "traditional" line. I've had the creme brûlée before and that was very good. They do make a great cupcake - the price is what keeps me from handing out stars. I've not compared this to other cupcake places, and I know that they are a novelty, but $3 for a single cupcake just seems a bit hefty. There's no denying it's a quality product so you'll have to try it out to see if it's worth the price tag. I suppose it's like Starbucks, but instead of getting a buzz you get a butt (extra weight that is, can only imagine how many calories are packed in one of these babies!). All in all this is a great upgrade in location from the other storefront. Not sure if this replaces the JAX locale or is supplemental, though. Either way I'm okay with the short drive from home!

I cannot give 5 stars to this cupcakery. I honestly have had better cupcakes. Don't get me wrong the cupcakes are good and the service was great, but I wasn't left with an undeniable unique cupcake. They were ordinary, nothing someone else cannot duplicate. In other words, nothing worth writing home about. It's really too bad because I wanted to love these cupcakes!

This is the story of how I came to know the awesome deliciousness that is Sirvada's Cupcakery. We were having a baby shower for one of our coworkers at our job, her and her husband do not want to know the gender of their upcoming baby and I was I charge of bringing dessert. The thought crossed my mind to make cupcakes, that thought faded pretty quickly. So I turn to trusted Yelp to help me with this decision. I didn't just want to get any normal cupcakes, I wanted to get pretty and special ones. Sirvada's showed up on the Yelp list, gave them a call and ordered a dozen strawberry cupcakes, half dozen vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, with blue buttercream frosting of course! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in taking my order, and very military friendly too which I love! This place is nestled in a shopping center in the Avondale area, very easy to miss if not paying attention. The storefront is nicely decorated, so clean, and the cupcakes displayed look amazing! Any type of flavor you could imagine is there! So to make a long story even longer, the cupcakes were a big hit at the baby shower, everyone raved at how delicious they were. Honestly, the strawberry cupcake may be the best one I've ever had! So recommend this place for any wither a sweet tooth, you'll thank me later for it!

Wow!!!! Had a cupcake from a friend who brought a dozen to a Girls Night Out event. 6 flavors but only had room for one. Beautifully decorated. Will have to drive out one day soon with the family!

Cupcakes were good but not much of a variety of choices. The gentleman behind the counter was amicable but seemed annoyed and in a rush to finish our order. It was a quiet afternoon so we were the only clients in there and no rush. The parking is not easy and you have to drive around. The location is nice and there are plenty of shops to browse if you're in the area. Quaint but very high end clientele in the vicinity. Overall the cupcakes were good and moderately priced. Worth trying at least once!

Quality has gone downhill in the past year under new ownership. The place is frequently out of cupcakes by early afternoon and they simply close up rather than make more. ( There was an out of cupcakes sign on the door presumably from the day before?? So you couldn't take it down? The frosting isn't as silky and full as they used to be and the man there is rather cranky unpleasant. The older lady however was sweet. My last visit (will be my last )as even though I was there 40 minutes after they opened all the cupcakes were very dry inside and the frosting tasted gritty. This place no longer is a treat!

I should've taken a pic before my wife and I devoured half with one bite. I'm exaggerating but they are crazy stupid out of this world good!! So moist and it's not super sweet kind of cupcakes and that's how it should be. The fillings they have for the creme brûlée' is to die for and the tiramisu OMG the TIRAMISU!!! I only bought 2 bec I have never heard of them before and wanted to make sure first but boy did I regret that. Definitely coming back to try all their flavors! I used to be in love with sweets by holly but this place just beat them. So fresh and delicious. A must try!!!

A must stop anytime I'm in the area! Sivada's Cupcakes are consistently great, I've tried at least 12 different flavors and I think it's a tie between the Boston Creme and Tiramisu. Grandson said the Triple Chocolate was awesome. Give them a try...I don't think you'll be disappointed!

They do not offer gluten free cupcakes. When asked their remark was we only make real cupcakes. Guess they don't understand that gluten free cupcakes are real and can be just as good. Won't step foot in this place again.

This is absolutely the best place to find unique, delicious and affordable cupcakes! I found this little cupcakery shop when I was looking for a birthday treat for my husband. I bought the Cheesecake Filled Cupcake(Specialty, refrigerated section) and the Red Velvet (regular, but nothing 'regular' about it). They boxed them up in a nice, sturdy little box and I paid about $6 for the 2 lovely looking cupcakes. My husband had the cheesecake filled cupcake that evening and claimed he has had 60 birthday cakes in his life but THIS was the best he have ever had! I can second that as he allowed me a generous taste. The Red Velvet was the next evening, and we weren't disappointed! It was still fresh, moist and absolutely delectable. Save your receipts to earn a free cupcake, I think it is after 3 visits you receive your free cupcake.

We ordered 6 dozen cupcakes from Sivada's for a small St. Augustine wedding over the weekend. I had stumbled upon the cupcakery while doing some shopping in the area and stopped in to try them out! They were amazing, they literally melt in your mouth! We ordered the lemon, strawberry and wedding day for our wedding reception and they were a huge hit with our guests! We had guests requesting to-go boxes for extra cupcakes and out of town guests eating them for breakfast the next morning! The quality, customer service, and price can not be beat! I will recommend this cupcakery to all of my friends, family and clients!

Without a doubt, these are the best cupcakes I have ever eaten. Sivada' produces many fresh cupakes you expect from a bakery and creates some incredibly original, inventive ones as well. My current favorite is Aztec Chocolate. It is a great chocolate cupcake with just enough cinamon to tell you it has a bit of heat but not enough to bite you. The only improvement would be fresh ground/perked coffee. Not a generic bean but supporting a local roaster. *** Now serving fresh coffee from a local roaster as I hiped for. Very good coffee- great combo!

These are the best cupcakes I've ever had. We got these for a work function and they turned out to be a big hit. The chocolate peanut butter and well... all of them were very well crafted and worth every penny.
