Loved this place. Old fort in the grounds, stunning location overlooking paro, archery and a monastery in the grounds where you can do a butter lamp ceremony and receive blessings. Lovely spa, kitchen garden they get a lot of vegetables and herbs from and they are growing many varieties of plants and beautiful trees and shrubs. The staff are so welcoming and the service is incredible, they anticipate your every need! The food is fabulous too.

Of the Six Senses lodges we stayed at on our recent trip to Bhutan, the Paro lodge was our favorite. The general manager was a Bhutanese man who was seemingly everywhere--one moment supervising the gardners, the next moment greeting guests returning from excursions and chatting with guests while helping clear dishes at meals. His hands-on approach, energy and guest focus were impressive. ||||We also enjoyed the food at the Paro lodge the most. The chef was a woman who came to our table and talked to us after several meals, and when we told her how much we liked one of her dishes she handwrote the recipe for us to take home. Her homemade pastas and desserts were exceptional!||||Our meal orders were guided by a knowledgeable server, Mendrel, who also came to our room with our breakfast before our early morning hike to Tiger's Nest. The difference between a good hotel and a great hotel is the service, and the service at Six Senses Paro was the best we encountered on our trip.

Everything about Six Senses is well presented. Stunning location, superb valley, mountain and district views. Staff that provide outstanding service. Food and dining of the highest standard. Spacious accommodation. Very well looked after.

The property is located with great views and around 45 mins drive from Paro center. The road for the last 35 mins is extremely poor and not finished. Guests with a back problem should take care. Once here the property is very well kept and the service is very good. The lighting is very minimal in the bedrooms and something we don't like.

The six sense Paro would be a top notch 5 star luxury hotel anywhere in the world, let alone in Bhutan. The comfort, food, servics and attention to detail is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and I feel they genuine care about your stay. Combined with the scenery, it's certainly qualified to be one of the best resorts in the world. A word of warming is that the road that leads up to the resort is basically a bumpy dirt track for a good 15 mins.. Anyone who easily gets carsick should beware.. The resort should really look to see how to get it paved..

Out of the world . One of the best experiences . The view from the 2 bedroom suite was stunning . The Hotel Manager Roy, probably the best hotel manager across the entire planet . The service levels of the hotel extremely excellent and beyond anyone expectations . They go to the details . If you go to Bhutan don’t think twice . I only stayed at one if the six senses properties in Bhutan . I understand they have a total of 5 and you can experience all of them in the various areas across the country .

Very great place to stay. Same management with Six Senses Thimpu and the staffs are so friendly and nice. The road to Six Senses is a bit challenging but we will come back for sure.

Having recently stayed at all five Six Senses properties in Bhutan, I say without hesitation that the Paro branch is my absolute favorite. Six Senses Paro, like the others, is even more stunning in photos, with immaculate, spacious rooms perched high on the mountain. I would wake up early to enjoy being eye-level with the clouds and walk along the path winding the gardens on the 16-acre estate (where much of the kitchen's produce comes from). The experience was full of surprises, with homemade beverages in the room fridge, a present waiting with turndown service each night, and a complimentary foot massage after hiking Tiger's Nest. But what made Paro stand out above the rest was the lodge manager Roy and the level of individualized attention he gave every guest. When I became ill with altitude sickness, he instructed so many tonics and teas to be brought to the breakfast table that I actually cried by the amount of care and concern him and the whole team had. When I went to hike Tiger's Nest at 6:00am he was running out to bring me his personal hat to wear for the sun and was there to congratulate me upon my return. I will never forget my experience here and look forward to seeing everyone again next time.
