"One of the most sustainable stays on Samui is on a sloping jungle-clad headland on the island’s northeastern tip. The bamboo walls and high thatched roofs of 66 multi-level villas (most with private pools) give the feeling of staying in a luxe treehouse. The vibe is chic, yet fun: natural wood tones are combined with pops of color from the neon-green and sherbet-yellow cushions and loungers, and staff stroll around in millennial pink and dusty rose linen two pieces. The first is quiet (one of the island’s best and biggest infinity pools), the other buzzier and next to the beach, on a cove shared with neighboring hotels—one of the only clues that you’re on a popular island rather than a remote hideaway. Mornings start with a shot of ‘rocket fuel’ (cider vinegar and citrus) at breakfast, and there’s an excellent menu of mocktails, free ice cream, and several scenic restaurant options, where fragrant curries are served up next to sunset views (although the best views at sunset are from the spa). Little and large guests love the on-site farm, where they can pet and feed a herd of well-preened goats."

"Six Senses Samui is hidden away at the end of a raised promontory looking out into the Gulf of Thailand, its 66 villas strewn across 20 acres of lush indigenous growth. The split-level villas are classic island accommodations in every way, decked out in rich local hardwoods, with open-plan bathrooms, outdoor showers, and in most units, infinity-edge pools with unimpeded views out to sea." - Mark Fedeli

"Located on the far northeastern tip, Six Senses Samui is the place to embrace wellness and sustainability. This eco-friendly resort offers stunning ocean views, private pools and rejuvenating spa experiences. The hotel itself is a collection of private villas dotted about the landscape of natural vegetation on the northeastern tip of the island." - James Whiting

"Each of the resort’s 66 villas (originally the Sila Evason Hideaway), which cling to a palm-studded headland above the sea, is a pleasure dome of rustic luxury in polished hardwoods, bamboo, and creamy muslin, all under a soaring thatched roof. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ever-changing seascape, and bathrooms are decadently kitted out with sunken tubs large enough for four and walls that retract to welcome ocean breezes. All but 14 of the villas have their own small pool, and each has a deck as well as a separate shaded lanai with a giant daybed overlooking the sea. A spa and a slate-lined pool with Gulf of Thailand views round out the list of diversions."

An Unforgettable 50th Birthday Celebration at Six Senses Samui||My wife and I chose Six Senses Samui to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it exceeded all our expectations. This was the perfect blend of romance, relaxation, and unique attractions that made our stay truly memorable.||The hotel is incredible. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The highlight for us was the outdoor shower – such a fun and refreshing experience! The beach was lovely, particularly on calm, windless days.||The real standout, however, was the staff. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our host, Hanny, went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met, from answering small questions to accommodating special requests. At the restaurant, May made us feel like old friends, providing personal, heartfelt service that made saying goodbye incredibly difficult.||The romantic dinner at the stunning Dining on the Rocks was a highlight of our trip. The food was delicious, though a bit on the pricey side. It was worth it for the experience and the breathtaking views.||We also treated ourselves to the spa, which was a must-visit. The treatments were highly professional, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive.||If you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious, and high-standard getaway, Six Senses Samui is the place to be. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommended!

This is my first time staying at a six senses property and gosh I love it so much.|Our Koh Samui holiday was one of the biggest holidays I was looking forward to with my husband and daughter post my twin delivery.|We booked the ocean front pool villa for 4N , everything about this villa is so lovely especially the stunning view of the sea.||Check in |All though they have a 3pm check in policy, they very kind enough to give us the room by 12 noon. The entire check in process was so smooth, while we were waiting for our room to get ready .. Lena was kind enough to keep us entertained by taking us to the farm on the property and also to show us every amenity and facility here. ||Food & Beverage |Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day here. So many options from smoothie bowls to local Thai breakfast. Their Thai tea will always be my favourite. |Dining on the hills is such a calm and beautiful spot to dine at. |Tak and the rest of the team took such good care of us especially my daughter. I miss their Tamarind Margaritas already. |The other place that I really enjoyed was the restaurant by the beach.. another lovely spot on the property.||Spa |A 10/10 for their massages. So relaxing and the views are so stunning from here too, if you get a chance get a coconut body wrap done followed by a relaxing massage.||I will be taking back a suitcase full of memories from here. 4N still don’t seem enough. I loved my time here and I’m so glad to be heading back home very relaxed.

We recently returned to Six Senses for a 10-night stay, and once again, the experience was outstanding. The entire staff impressed us with their friendliness and impeccable service, making us feel like valued returning guests.||||A special thank you to Khun Tak, Khun Dada, and Khun Maya, whose amazing care and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and personal touches went above and beyond our expectations.||||This hotel not only offers great facilities but also a team that turns every visit into something special. ||||During November, it’s worth noting that the weather can be windy. We recommend considering a villa on the north side of the property for a more sheltered and serene experience since we had a - very beautiful villa - facing south with strong wind during the night. ||||While the resort is a heaven for relaxation and rejuvenation, weekends can occasionally be a bit livelier due to short-term guests. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience with a group of 5 persons using the quite pool space for their intense Insta shooting activities without respecting the wishes from us and the other guests for rest. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, and I believe there is an opportunity to provide staff with additional training to better handle such scenarios in the future.||||Six Senses remains dedicated to creating a tranquil escape for those seeking peace and luxury. With its stunning setting and incredible staff, this is a destination we’ll keep returning to.

I spent two nights at Six Senses Samui late in November to celebrate my birthday. The resort is 5-star in every way. The villa was spacious and sparkling clean, the service was top-notch and food was delicious. I requested a villa surrounded by lots of trees and was not disappointed. The main pool offers breathtaking views and is long enough for lap swimming. My GEM Khun Aum was very helpful. ||I’m also glad that the resort has some villas that don’t have a pool, which allow me to avoid paying extra money for a tiny pool that I won't use anyway. Note that the hideaway pool villa that I stayed in was a complimentary upgrade.||I feel sorry for the resort that a large and not so beautiful residential complex has been built to the south on the east side of the resort and somewhat ruins the sense of seclusion. ||A few things to note: the door to the villa won’t stay closed if it’s not locked, lighting control panel was not near the bed but hidden in the wall, the TV was rather outdated and there was some unpleasant smell at the south edge of the main pool.||Overall, I find Six Senses Samui absolutely worth visiting. I also would like the thank the resort for offering affordable deals from time to time. I will be looking for those deals and visit again if possible.

Wonderful service in a beach front resort. Plenty of pools as well as good access to wonderful sea swimming. Villas are beautiful. The gym is quite small but has a decent weights section as well as a separate space for cardio machines. Overall, a superb family vacation

Stayed here for a few days in January 2025 and had a fantastic experience. All the hosts were absolutely lovely and took the time to get to know us and check in everyday. Special shoutout to our GEM Honey who seamlessly helped us book in everything we wanted to do during our stay. Rooms are luxurious as to be expected from Six Senses. Would also recommend doing a cooking class at the resort and reserving table 99 or 100 on Dining on the Rocks for a truly special dining experience.

Perfect location, excellent staff, can do anything to make our trip memorable.|Rooms are serviced twice. Very polite and courteous staff, always greet with a smile.|Luxurious spa and massage .|Lena was our GEM and along with Maya did her utmost to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. Breakfast, dining on the Hill and the lunches by the beach are just too good. The Xmas eve banquet experience was exceptional.|Got the Thai Lana massage from the master herself who was very knowledgable.|The only downside is that the rooms esp the ocean front pool villa have 70+ small steps to do up and down every time you need to leave your room so certain level of fitness is needed. Do enquire if your room is access friendly. Also since the airport is nearby therefore the serene atmosphere is disrupted every now and then by the noise of the aircraft
