Six Thousand Beef Soup

Come early before 1000. if you would like to have beef sliced soup. It gets sold out usually after 1030. Beef is soft and tender, with wine that you can add on your own depending on your preference. Soup is light yet flavorful. Excellent bowl of beef soup, will be back! Thankful for the last bowl of beef soup otherwise it would have been a disappointing trip!

Environment is not perfect, but beef is excellent. Staff are polite. Warm hearty food.

The beef soup, very famous dish in Tainan. It was my first try if it. We arrived like 30m before its closing time, so no more beef soup. Only plate/ flank soup and other internal organ parts…. We tried plate/flank soup, it’s delicious.

I waited for 40 minutes even so early from 06:43. Ordinary beef I think it's too chewy. I had better one and doesn't need to wait for soooo long. I think it's not worth waiting. You could save your time and money.

You should go to the restaurant as early as possible. Probably, 5 a.m. in the morning is the best time. The queue was so long, so I had to wait almost 1 hour. In my opinion, the taste of beef soup is just okay. In my personal preferences, it probably needs more spices.

Streetside eatery serving beef soup dishes. I had the beef burdock (sirloin) soup with rice and ginger as they had sold out of the regular sliced beef soup. Very tasty.

$120 for a small bowl of beef soup. Heard that you have to go super early but we went at 8am on a Saturday and it was still available. Most people get a bowl of rice to eat with the beef else the soup by itself doesn’t really fill you up.

Arrived around 8am and had to wait about 10 minutes for a seat, tasty beef broth, tender rare beef, a bowl of rice and heaps of ginger and chili all for under £3, whats not to like! No queue when we left around 9am.

Me and my wife visit this place every year when we visit. Seriously the freshest beef you'll ever eat. Broth is prepared with a high degree of seriousness. It's rich, aromatic and hearty. If you want to avoid wait times up to an hour I recommend getting here super early like 3 A.M. to get a cue card. Come back around 5 when they open and enjoy. Order both the niu jian 牛腱 (beef tendon) and regular beef to maximize your experience. Get some rice too. In the corner there is a sauce station, with sweet sauce and ginger. Note that they are closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Beef soup was the bomb. Even though they look grumpy in the morning, they can because this is some good soup. Make sure to get the ginger and brown sauce with the soup. Slamming!!! #beefsoupnazis

Really good to try. Won't let you down. But you had no choice but need to wake up early. I could hardly open up my eyes and get up when the alarm rang. If so, I still recommend you come here and give it a try. The beef was fresh n tender. Plus, the soup tasted nothing but awesome.
