Skate at Domino Park

Been back a few times with friends and my kids. The space is an easy flow, easy check in (purchase tickets before hand to extra easy) I went in the beginning of the season and the skates were literally new. The other times, they’re in great shape and you have the option between figure skating or hockey style skates. Lockers are available for rent. The rink is intimately sized which makes it feel super cozy especially over the NYC skyline and the Williamsburg bridge. The view is SPECTACULAR. It’s a must experience when visiting North Brooklyn. Pricing is fair with 50% off deals on Wednesday’s and Thursdays. They offer skating lessons as well. I say this is a winter go-to spot with kids, friends, family, or if you’re visiting. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

We had a great time at Domino Skate park. Even though it was quite busy at 2:30pm the Sat before Xmas, everyone who worked there and every skater we bumped on the ice (we are beginners!) or squeezed next to on a bench to lace up were so nice & kind! The place is beautiful too and well run/organized. The only negatives are the bathrooms are across the street (but they were clean) and it’s expensive — they charge for everything ($16 child’s penguin assist (recommended!); $4 large locker (fit 3 backpacks), $16-22 each ticket + tax, + for each skate rental) but if you are a New York City resident you do get a discount and they did not ask for ID. They also add 15 mins of skate time if they need to clean the ice during your time slot which we liked because we needed a break anyway. They have seats to rest too. (Be sure to arrive early to get your rental skates on and put things in locker, use the bathroom etc especially with a child - at least 15 mins extra is needed if you want the most time on the ice.) One hour on the ice was plenty for us. We were tired! But it was really fun. They also have helpful “ice monitors” who help people when they fall, will offer a short ice skating tip if asked, and keep the crowd well behaved, and moving nicely. Skating at Sunset was stunning! And an ice cream truck w hot chocolate was right outside.

Nice views & solid skating. Rink is a decent size, not too small. Free open storage for shoes & the option for paid lockers (no backpacks allowed on the rink). There's plenty of seating for guests, and a little bit of seating with rubber floors for when the zamboni is working. Food & drinks aren't up yet, but there was a small foodtruck outside with hot chocolate, hot cider, and ice cream. All the rentals have buckles which is easier to get on and off than the laces IMO. They disenfect with a liquid spray and there's a good chance it'll be a bit moist when you put them on. The first skates I tried on were incredibly painful (digging into my ankle), so I mentioned this and the guy behind the counter and he looked and swapped them out for a different pair. Might be a known issue with a certain model. New pair felt fine & after the swap it was smooth sailing, thankfully. 2025-2026 Season Update: They have upgraded their boot selection to be more comfortable after the critical feedback last year. The adjacent shops are now open & serving food, and I imagine those have restrooms too. Bumping my review up to 5 stars from 4 to reflect these updates!

I do not recommend going ice skating at Domino Park with children. I made this mistake myself. First of all, I was misled about the availability of the penguin skating aid (which is very helpful for beginners). The staff simply gave it to whoever they wanted and told me to wait until it was returned to the rental area. After two hours, they admitted that it would never be returned. Secondly, having a restroom for children is essential. The staff sent us “to the other side of the street,” and after a long search we decided to go back home. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

What a view! They were okay with folks taking photos on the ice which most other places frown upon. It's a pretty small rink so it gets chopped up quickly; this also means they can zamboni the entire rink incredibly fast. We brought our own skates so we can't comment on the comfort of rentals. No food/snacks but there was a hot cocoa truck right outside. We'll definitely revisit.

Me and my daughter loved it! $12 daily or on Wednesday it's family day so it's only $6! We went on a Tuesday daytime and we're the only people on the ice! Will definitely be back! We already love domino park!

Fourth time visiting Domino Skating Rink, first time visiting with my preschooler. Long story short we booked for Domino due to the high prices at Bryant Park and Rockefeller during Christmas break, also we love the views and vibes from previous experience. Three tickets, penguin rental and locker costed around 112.00 with tax. My preschooler was not a fan of ice skating, we didn't last even 3 minutes on the ice. The staff was kind and showed compassion for the unfortunate situation and gave two complimentary tickets to make up for the lost. Thank you Nikki and Sam! My family will continue to visit Domino Skate. Also, the new skates are comfortable to skate in compared to last season.

The rink is small and there is no bathroom or cafe so you have to go outside. It also gets really windy and when I was there a panel on the tent broke and it was really cold indoors. View is great but skates was smelly

I came here with my friend on a Monday afternoon. We came right when the rink opened at 2:30pm. It wasn't super crowded at first, but it did fill up. Including skate rental, we each paid around $35, which didn't feel so bad. It's a fairly small rink but the view is incredible. I would definitely come back!

The rink is small but not super crowded and everyone seemed to be looking out for each other. People fell alot which I attribute to it being early in the season so our choos are down! The staff would check on each person who fell which was very kind. I loved that everyone from the neighborhood seemed to be enjoying the rink together ! The last event I attended there was a salsa band party. I appreciate Williamsburg for our diverse cultures hanging out on the waterfront. Two Trees did a good job deceloping Domino and it is place that brings us all together!!

Haven't been to Domino Park in a long time but glad it's iceskating season. The rink is small but not overly crowded. I have my own skates so didnf have go rent. You cannot bring bags on to the ice so I just it left mines briefly on to the side. There is a lot of seating around the area. There are also lockers available. If you need the restroom, use it before you put on your skates. The restroom is located across the street in another building. Also, it's always colder by the water so dress warmly. There was no time limit so you can skate to your heart's content. It was a lovely day. Even walked back over the bridge back into the city. Had a great time.
