Taking a risk to visit this spot during the lunch rush paid off, and I found out Skillet Regrade makes a pretty mean (delicious) burger.
It was my first time here, and right as you walk in the menu is pretty much in your face as the menu boards are right above the counter where you order. The distance from the entrance to the counter is also just a few steps, so I can only imagine how packed it gets when ordering/leaving.
I went with The Burger (bacon jam, creamy bleau cheese, and arugla on a brioche bun) with a side of fries. With tip and tax it came out to about $20. Next to the pickup area there's a small condiment station (ketchup and mustard pumps), and a water station (glasses if you're staying in and plastic glasses if you're leaving/waiting for your to-go order). The burger was tasty but a bit messy, and their fries are seasoned with a bit of garlic too so if you're bringing a date here and aren't at that comfort level yet, be mindful that your breath may end up being too fresh. I actually liked the arugla with the burger; added a freshness to balance out the bacon jam.
I'll definitely come back to try their Happy Hour food.
Tips:
-Looking for the silverware and napkins? Each table and at the countertop has several sets of silverware and napkins (and some hot sauce)
-Eating in? Far right of the counter there's bins to put your dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware. I didn't see a sign saying that customers were required to bus their own tables, but since its there you might as well. There's also a sink to the left of this area, which I liked, to wash your hands before you left
-If you need extra assistance and/or have a wheelchair, cane, crutches, etc. just be aware that the entrance has limited spacing (though I'm sure the staff would be able to assist with clearing people). There is a ramp at the bar side of their counter (where stools are located), and a side door in that seating section. However this door appeared locked, as nobody was using it?
-Must be 21 and over to sit at the counter, as it also houses their alcohol selection
-Ordering a burger? They don't ask you off the bat how you want it cooked (mine was cooked medium), so if you have a preference be sure to tell them
