Katsu Burger Ballard Will Serve Sushi Alongside Its Deep-Fried Burgers | Eater Seattle

"Once a neighborhood spot, Skillet Ballard shuttered in January after two years in business; according to an official statement the restaurant was underperforming and a flood from a broken water main didn’t help the financial situation. The closure announcement included the line, “After 5 years, we sadly announce the closing of our Skillet Ballard location. Thank you for all your support over the years.”" - Megan Hill

The wife and I came by after spinning several of the Pokestops and Pokemon Gyms in the area. We got the Nutella pancake, chicken fried steak, all meat omelet, cheese fries, and onion rings. We were lucky because appetizers were 5 bucks for happy hour and they weren't holding back. The food was amazing! The service was super awesome; quick, consistent, and welcoming. Definitely going to come back

We waited outside briefly, then placed our orders and when we were seated at our table, they brought our food right to us in just a few minutes. All the food was delicious, especially the eggs. The iced mocha was a lot fancier looking than I expected (I thought those pictures were of milkshakes) but it was really good for someone who loves sweet coffee. The strawberries on the pancakes were very fresh and ripe! I’m really looking forward to eating my leftovers, and to coming back here again. Note that it is a bit loud in the restaurant but they have patio seating, which I imagine is a little quieter.

I would rate this place a 6/10. The wait wasn’t too long and I like how they take your order outside and then seat you. So when you get seated your food comes out shortly afterwards. For the amount of food I think the prices were just fine, however I didn’t too much care for the biscuits and gravy specifically. I thought the biscuits were a bit dry. The gravy was good tho. But I ended up sending mine back to the kitchen. And I didn’t like how low the lights were hanging from the ceiling.Im slightly tall so I did bump my head on them getting up.

Great little mom and pop breakfast and brunch restaurant in historic street in Fremont. A huge menu with lots of great options. Classic American breakfast food. Service is very friendly and you feel like you're going back in time when visiting this neighborhood. Food was pretty good but I feel like we ordered the wrong stuff. I think more traditional breakfast dishes like pancakes and French toast might have been better. Still definitely worth a visit. Very charming!

I frequent this place on the weekend and I always take people visiting me here. Wait can be 10-20 mins when busy, but considering how many people come here not bad at all. You order when you put your name on the list so when you’re seated, your food is ready. Portions are always big, prices are pretty reasonable. I love getting the skilletz breakfast. I’ve ordered some desert shakes in the past, but not a fan of those personally (they use Hershey chocolate syrup and I don’t like that). Staff is super nice. Parking can be kind of annoying but never takes longer than 10 mins to find a spot. Located in a unique little area with vintage shops around.

It feels good coming back here! There were many people in line. The first time I came here, there wasn’t because I came earlier. They have us fill in our names and times we come here and then seated us based on the party. Luckily for me since I’m the only one dining here, I was the first one to be called in. They make us order before we get seated depending on the party size. I heard that they have a patio section, but unsure where it is because I’ve never seen it. I heard that we have to walk around the restaurant and it’s all the way at the back. The restaurant is small and makes me wonder how can they fit a lot of people inside. The corned beef is different compared to other breakfast restaurants. It’s mushier and they served us salsa, but that’s probably for the potatoes. For the hot coffee, they gave me a large cup. Usually, restaurants serve us small ones. I made my promise to come back here but it’s been almost two years now. I’ll try to come here a little more often.

Google
Visited here twice during our stay in Niles . We had breakfast and dinner menus . On both occasions staff were friendly and attentive and service was quick and food fresh ! Both visits did not disappoint! Large potions so no need to add sides to your order - Thank you for a wonderful experience

Google
This is the best brunch cafe in Fremont. Food quality is great and even the amount is big enough to feed even two guests per one dish. You should anticipate to wait in a long line on the weekends.

Yelp
Been coming to Skillet'z for years and it will always remain a nostalgic brunch spot for me! Located in the charming Niles area, parking is nearby with a lot. Lines form on the weekends but it moves fast. They take your order outside so that the food comes out soon after being seated which is nice and efficient. The inside is cozy and decorated throughout with the tables scattered with business cards, photos, and more that are placed by patrons which is a nice touch to make the experience more casual and family-like. The food always hits with generous portions and great service. Definitely a charming and go-to spot for me that I highly recommend!

Yelp
This place was so mid. Yes they're fast but that doesn't make up for their lack of good customer service. We weren't checked up on once, asked for a small plate when the food was dropped off and never got it. The bill was thrown on one of the plates that still clearly had food on it. We got a decoto scramble and had to had more salt and cholula to make it good. The French toast wasn't anything special. The best thing we had was the fresh OJ. Cool interior of the restaurant, people put their business cards in the tables.

Yelp
2.5 stars. The service sucked so bad. We ordered outside and then got seated inside. It was fast but not once did they come by and when we were about done we had the bill thrown on one of the plates. Food- was mediocre. We ordered the decoto loaded hash browns, I felt like I had to drown it in Cholula and salt to add flavor and then it started tasting okay. The hash browns were mushy. We also ordered the strawberry Nutella French toast and it was just okay. Cool interior and table concept, and only memorable thing for me was the orange juice.

Yelp
Skillet'z remains as one of my favorite breakfast spots. The service is quick and friendly every time I go. I like that they take your order ahead of time so the food comes out quickly after being seated. It makes things go a lot smoother. I've eaten here 3x in the last 4 months and my new fave is the Hella Bay breakfast sammich. Sourdough bread, hamburger patty, American cheese and Denver omelette eggs. Hella Bay is hella good!

Yelp
This brunch place is really busy and had a long line at around 11:30. They took our orders right before seating us and the food arrived as we were sat. The prices are similar to what you would expect from a Bay Area brunch place. I got a ham omelette and it came with toast and fruit. Adding anything extra like spinach costs $1.

Yelp
Popular breakfast spot in Niles, but nothing to write home about and I probably won't be back. Large portions, but nothing special about each of the dishes. Service on a weekday morning took awhile to place our order, but once we ordered, food -Corned Beef Hash and Eggs (3/5) - the corned beef was tasteful and I got it with onions and peppers, which added more flavor. The house potatoes were cooked well, but not too crispy. -Banana pancake (3/5) - good for a banana pancake. Pancakes here are LARGE, but I felt like it was just alright.

Yelp
We had reservations for 12:00pm. They were also taking walk ins. I had the special omelette "Lolita" . The server was polite. The service was really prompt. They don't do individual bills. That was the only downside. Definitely an amazing place to go for amazing food.

Yelp
Nice breakfast place in Niles area of Fremont. Usually packed for breakfast with long wait but we got lucky today (Black Friday weekend), and got seated immediately. Kids shared a kids breakfast meal (french toast, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns). I tried the "Lolita Omelette" that is chicken, avocado, veggies and cheese. Food was great and waiters were very attentive and friendly. Hashbrowns were very nice and very different from those in chain restaurants such as Black Bear etc. Kids said they prefer it to Black Bear which is good as Black Bear has been their favorite. We love to support small businesses that do excellent job at hospitality so will visit again.

Yelp
Okay so I would say the food here is decent, diner-style breakfast/brunch food, however - is it worth the insane wait? Probably not. I came here with group of 2 and we had to wait almost 30-40 min for a table on a Saturday morning, which would've been fine if the food was amazing.... but it was quite basic in my opinion. I got the country fried steak with over easy eggs and hash browns, and vanilla latte as my beverage. Everything was fine, however the hash browns were definitely under-seasoned, they needed a loooot of extra salt. All in all, I wouldn't wait more than 10-15 min here if I was coming here for breakfast again, I wouldn't say the food was really worth it. Maybe it was the item I ordered, but it didn't leave a lasting impression in my opinion.

Yelp
My friends and I have been meeting here for brunch for years and it is still our favorite spot! Theres always been a wait when I go no matter what day it is, but they are very fast with taking orders and getting food out once seated. They have a big indoor seating area as well as an outdoor patio in the back. I've tried many items but my recent favorite is the patty melt! Love their pancakes and drinks too. My friends usually get a scramble and they are always satisfied!

Yelp
Love that this spot in Niles is open late -- perfect for those nighttime breakfast cravings! Their vanilla latte and matcha banana shake are absolutely out of this world. I always go for the corned beef hash with crispy hash browns, and it never disappoints. The mild tomato sauce paired beautifully with the crispy hash browns -- such a perfect combo. Loved that you can swap the toast for a pancake for just $3 -- such a great deal and totally worth it! Great presentation, delicious food, and friendly service. The casual ambiance and cute décor make it an easy favorite.

Yelp
5 stars all around!! Food is comforting, delicious and has a large variety! The service is so EFFICIENT!!! Before you're seated, they take your order. Once you're seated, your food is basically already being delivered to you!! A+ service for real!! We sat in the back patio which is covered and super cute! They were playing an old school throwbacks radio station and the vibes were perfect for a chill brunch day with husband, baby and dog. Love love love this local spot and will for sure be back!

Yelp
HUGE portions! I got the Mexican fried steak which had cheese and chorizo atop the fried steak. It came with a good portion of hash browns and two over easy eggs. I upgraded my bread to a biscuit with gravy, which had two! Surprisingly, everything by itself (even the side of salsa) was bland. The three different hot sauces at the side of the table helped liven things up a bit. Reservations accepted on weekdays, which were easy to make on Yelp a day prior for an impromptu breakfast meetup with a couple of friends. Good service. Overall, a solid 3.5 stars.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot! I love the Skillet Special! Added hash browns this time which was amazing, nice crisp and just enough salt. Pancakes were huge and so soft! The service as always is quick for quick turnover, especially on a Sunday Morning.

Yelp
The wait on Saturday morning wasn't too bad about 15-20 minutes for 4. They take your order while you're waiting. When ordering the short stack pancakes. The lady asked what fruit wanted but didn't say it wasn't included until the bill came extra $3 bucks. The food came out pretty quickly within 10 minutes but no utensils. We had to flag someone down for utensils. No jam on table either for all the toast. The other server went to check on table next to us but our girl never came back after taking order. As far as the food, it was good. The service could be better all around.
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
It s actually a 4.5 stars. The service was great and the ambience was great too. I feel like the effort has gone down a little bit. A few years ago the food was great. I also had an orange juice and it was sour. It's probably because it was squeezed in the morning and I had it in the evening. I have ordered the same item multiple times to see if it was just a one-time thing but it has been the same experience with effort. I am vegetarian so I cannot speak for the meat meals but they have very little options for vegetarians.

Yelp
Popped in for family breakfast, it was my first time there so I was a little confused with there system at first. Still unsure if I was a fan of it or not. You go, add your name to a wait list, everyone waits outside ( there is plenty of seating to wait but it's scattered, some in the shade / most are not & it's first come first serve) then when they call your name they take your order outside and then you wait again for an open time to get called inside. Once inside it was only like 10-15 min wait I think & then are good started to arrive. I go the Grilled Chicken, green chile chilaquiles, it came with potatoes, green salsa, avocado, with sunny side of eggs. This was available on a Sunday. The food portion was ALOT but I'm a fatty so I was not mad at all. I did share with my sister but the food tasted amazing !

Yelp
My friends and I came here for brunch, and we were blown away by the service and food. The hostess was incredibly friendly and patient with our group, even though I was running a little late, she didn't seem bothered at all. As soon as I arrived, my friend let her know our full party was there, and while we waited for our table, we were able to place our order. The efficiency here is impressive. One of our friends was visiting for the first time, and he couldn't believe how quickly our food came out, it was ready within minutes of us sitting down! The food was absolutely delicious. We all ordered different dishes, and everything was spot on. I always get the Rosa Bravo, it's my go-to and paired it with an iced caramel latte, which was perfect. A special shoutout for the hash browns: I always ask for them extra crispy, and most places don't get it right, but they nailed it here! One friend ordered the Oreo milkshake. We were a little unsure if it was supposed to have bananas in it, but he still really enjoyed it. The decor was super cute, and all the servers were warm and welcoming. We're already looking forward to coming back!

Walking distance, breakfast or dinner options, incredible service, and extensive menu options. Nice indoor dining or outdoor dining.

Yelp
Skillet'z is a cute brunch spot in the heart of the historic Niles district. My bf and I arrived here around 10:30 on Memorial Day and there were already a lot of people waiting out front. There is a decent sized parking lot adjacent to the cafe but it quickly filled up as soon as we left. There is also street parking available. We wrote our name down on a clipboard out in front of the restaurant. There was an employee that went down the wait list and took people's orders, which I found quite efficient. While you wait, I suggest perusing the menu and deciding what to order. We got really lucky and only had to wait around 10-15 minutes to get seated. Since we had already placed our orders while waiting outside, we didn't have to wait too long until our food arrived once we were seated. I ordered the Decoto Loaded Hash Browns with a side of wheat toast. The portions were huge but I was surprisingly able to finish the majority of it. The loaded hash browns came with sauteed veggies, sliced avocado, a spicy pepper and two eggs cooked to your preference. The side of salsa paired well with the dish and I liked how the toast was already buttered. My bf ordered Charlie's burrito with chorizo. It looked like a hefty and filling burrito. I took a bite of it and wished there was more chorizo than potato in the burrito. It also came with a side of sliced jalapenos and salsa. We also shared their drink of the day which was an oreo matcha. It was basically a shake and really good! Once you're done, take your receipt to the counter and pay for your meal. Overall, a decent brunch spot with big portions.

Yelp
First time here and I made reservations! Which was a good thing! they fill up quick! Food is hearty so look to prolly taking a to go box! Filled with folks catching up on life so there is lots of talking! I suggest study the menu and order when they ask the first time! This is a place I have always heard of and glad I tried it!

Yelp
I've always been curious about the long lines outside Skillet'z Cafe, so I finally gave in and tried it. Wish I hadn't. I ordered the chicken and waffles--seemed like a safe bet. Unfortunately, the chicken was fried beyond recognition. Dry, overcooked, and lacking any flavor... it barely resembled chicken at all. The waffles were passable, but nothing memorable. Honestly, I don't get the hype. The food just wasn't it. Definitely not my kind of place. Won't be coming back. Ambiance is okay. It can get noisy with all sorts of sounds (people, tv, kitchen etc)
google avatar

Yelp
The best breakfast spot. Located in Nile's which looks like an old town movie location . Which it was if you look up the history. Great little shops all around . Wait was long an hour even though we called and they said 15 mins. They give you a menu while you wait. They will call your name to take your order then you wait again . The next time they call is for your table . Once you get to the table your drinks are waiting and food comes out with a few minutes of seating down. Dog friendly was outdoor seating in the back. Small establishment but food is excellent.
google avatar

Sonia L.

Yelp
We had a good time. The menus is loaded for every craving you can think of. We went for the classics. My favorite was our busser, Cesar, he manicured our table and kept my coffee coming, anticipating every need. A little dark inside for my liking; I will try outside seating next time. We went for traditional breakfast. They don't have a host, for me it was a little confusing on seating because it was out first time, other than that, cashier forgot to bring my change. Nice overall. $93.47 party of 3
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
Skillet'z for brunch is always a good choice! Every dish is generous and delicious. Definitely go with family or a group of friends because you'll need to share. After so many visits, my favorites are pancakes, chicken fried steak, breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, and the sides of hash browns. The hash browns are done so well like super crispy on the surface and light and fluffy underneath. The service is great too. People are friendly and quick to take orders. Food also comes out pretty quickly so that's a plus if you have hungry kids who have been waiting for a while. The inside is cute and eclectic with antique items like tin lunch boxes and framed posters.

Yelp
Food good Service ok. Staff to customer ratio seems compromised. We waited a very long time to be called l, 35 minutes. Then you are required to order before you are seated. At the time of seating, we were told to go around the restaurant through the alley around the back into an outside seating area, but when arrived there was no one to guide us on where to sit. It was kind of a hot-mess-express. Ambiance is ok Overall I would return due to the good food.
google avatar

Yelp
The wait for Saturday brunch was around 40 minutes, which isn't too bad considering how other restaurants could be at peak times. When you arrive make sure to sign your name on the paper located on the stand next to the menus. They don't take your phone number so you'll have to stay within the area to hear your name getting called. When they get to your name on the list, the server will take your order at the door. Once your order is in they show you to your seat. Service is pretty fast, and portions are big. I ordered an omelette which I finished but I barely made a dent in my hashbrowns, which were my favorite part of the meal. They also offer salsa with your eggs. We also ordered the French toast, which was solid, nothing really standing out. My partner was looking forward to getting beignets which are offered on the menu but I guess the restaurant wasn't serving them that day.

Yelp
Love the place. The food is super delicious, service is Uber fast and vibe is old townish .. It's a great place for breakfast or brunch.

Yelp
We came here on an early weekend morning and were seated right away in the second room. The place is spacious but a little more on the noisy side. The bathroom was a little dirty though. The staff was nice and checked in on us. We ordered the Billy's New York steak and eggs and the Decoto loaded hash browns with grilled veggies and an egg. They asked my partner how he wanted the steak done, and he said medium. When it came, the steak was so well done that it was almost burnt. My partner did not like his dish. I enjoyed my hash brown dish and thought the veggies were cooked well, but there could have been a larger variety of vegetables since I only got zucchini, onions and a few peppers. I think the most odd thing was that my partner asked if they had espresso and they responded that they had only frozen lattes. When we received it, more than half of it was ice and whipped cream and so he felt like he did not have enough coffee - so it was not an espresso as we were told. The area is near downtown Fremont which is nice to walk around afterwards with an old town feel. We would come back but probably would try something different.

Yelp
First time getting sandwiches here. SO good! My son got the chicken and he usually gets the patty melt. He liked it, but prefers the patty melt. I got the fish and it comes with the lettuce tomato and onions. They gave me an option to add avocado, which I did, and they recommended the roll, great choice! It was crispy, light and filling! It's thus far my favorite non-breakfast option! That nanaba (banana) shake is the bomb!!! SOOOO good!!! Not as sweet as you might expect, which was a nice surprise! I'm not into things that are too sweet! But it had really good banana flavor and nice little pieces of banana in it! Can't wait to go back! Gotta try other things on the menu!

Yelp
We love this spot, it's definitely become our family brunch spot! And guess what!? THEYRE OPEN FOR DINNER AND LUNCH NOW! We are so happy about it! Because there's many times where we crave skilletz and they're not open. So im excited for their new hours. The vibe is always amazing with the tunes they got going, and on sunny days i adore their patio. My Husband got the Mexican chicken fried steak. I got the steak and eggs with country potatoes And my son got the pancakes with berries. We also got coffee, a freshly and yummy squeezed orange juice. Skilletz never disappoints

Yelp
Went to Skillet'z for breakfast. When I arrived the cafe was full but getting a spot took under 5 minutes. On my way out though, there was a huge line just an hour later. Would definitely recommend folks show up early to avoid the rush. I ordered Linguica & Eggs and my partner ordered La Maria Juana alongside a glass of orange juice. The orange juice was too sugary for our taste, and the dishes were good breakfast fare. The real standout for the meal was the salsa, which was excellently smooth, spicy, and flavorful.

Yelp
Such a great brunch spot that feels like home. We went on a Tuesday morning and were greeted right away. We were celebrating a baby shower and they were so accommodating. They quickly made our table, let us decorate, and even gave us a small table to put our gifts on. All of the staff working were personable and genuine. They also seemed to have a lot of regulars, which is a great sign. Everyone is greeted with a smile. The menu was extensive so everyone can find something they like. They are not shy with their portion sizes so you will definitely have some left overs. I got the La Lolita Omelette which was well balanced and hefty. I do wish they cooked the zucchini more but that's just my preference. The omelette came with your choice of side and an order of bread, such a great value. I chose the country potatoes which were good. They weren't anything special but were seasoned well and they gave plenty. They also gave a side of salsa which had a nice spice to it. I also got to try my friend's banana matcha which was great. The banana foam was made with real banana but it was a little too thick. I loved how the place felt homey and comforting. The walls are decorated throughout the place and you are able to leave a little piece of your lives on the table. They are also playing bay area music, but not at a volume where it was difficult to talk. It got your energy up for your meal. Such a great brunch place that I'm sure I will visit again.

Yelp
This place is always lively and you get a lot of quantity for your order. The ambiance is cool and our server was super nice to us. Weekends, there's usually a wait but weekday brunch is the move.

Yelp
This may be my second time here and I loved it today more than the last time ! Came on a Sunday with the family. We signed in and were given a menu. Waited no more than 10 minutes and they took our order right outside. We were seated and our food came out after only 5 minutes are so. Great and quick customer service. The portions here are massive ! And everything on the menu is great. I ordered a Rosa Bravo omelette which had spinach, which had Homemade chorizo, bacon, spinach, bell peppers, avocado, cheddar cheese, & serrano. It came with a side choice of hash browns or skillet homestyle potatoes. It also comes with a side of bread or an upgrade of pancakes which I got. All of this for just $20 bucks ! You really could share it with another person there's so much food. Also note, I recommend ordering the fresh squeezed orange juice here, so refreshing!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Excellent food! We loved the omelettes and potatoes. Lunch is also great. The host outside is always friendly and helpful. We love that you order first then get seated. By the time you sit, your food is coming out. We will be back!

Yelp
FIRST 2025 MEAL In December 2023 I ate at Dino's Family Restaurant because I read the owners decided to close the restaurant at the end of the year to focus on their other eateries like Billy Roy's Burger and Skillet'z Cafe. Fortunately Dino's Family Restaurant ended up not closing. However by eating at Dino's I did go to their other two eateries. The first time I went to Skillet'z Cafe was last May. I was thinking about getting the Skillet'z Special as I'm big believer of ordering food with a name of the restaurant. However I noticed one of the items listed on the specials of the day was Mexican Chicken Fried Steak. I asked my server if she would recommend the Skillet'z Special or Mexican Chicken Fried Steak. She suggested the Mexican Chicken Fried Steak, which I ended up ordering. The Mexican version different twist to the American version as there are chorizo and serrano pepper. The pepper didn't add spice but flavor to this dish. For beverage I ordered an iced mocha. The next time I visited Skillet'z Cafe was on New Year's Day. I sat outside on the patio. Even though there were other items to consider I ordered the Skillet'z Special. I was hoping to get the beignets instead of the pancake, but my server informed me they were out. I decided to get waffle topped with blueberries. I paid $5 extra for a ham steak in lieu of sausage. For appetizers I thought about ordering fried zucchini, but as the new year I wanted to try a new item. I ordered the mac and cheese balls. Sometimes blueberries can taste too tarty, but the blueberries on the waffle didn't have that aftertaste. I enjoyed the blueberries. However I wish the waffle was crispier. The mac and cheese balls had that crispy breading on the outside with the gooey cheese inside. The ham steak was worth $5 more as I got a big portion. On New Year's Day I enjoyed my breakfast at Skillet'z Cafe on a sunny day sitting outside on the patio while enjoying my meal.

Yelp
Been living around this area and been trying to check out this place. The long lines and large crowd on the weekends can be crazy. Weekday and we finally tried this place. They have good system in making sure service is quick and easy. Typical diner-ish. Large menu, lots of food to choose from. Price is decent. Ordered corned beef and hash, coffee, chicken tenders and fries. Fries were good. Chicken tenders are mid. Corned beef is mushy. Seemed like it was a can. Potatoes were good tho. Service was good. We felt like the servers were in a hurry tho.

Yelp
Our first time at Skillets in Fremont was wonderful! The customer service was amazing--everyone was so kind and welcoming. A very nice gentleman with a portrait tattoo of his father helped us when we first arrived, and Giselle, our server, was excellent. She was very well spoken, gave great recommendations, and made sure we were taken care of. We especially loved the banana matcha! The only downside was the flooring--it had a noticeable smell, and we even saw a couple of people walk out because of it. It seems like the flooring may need updating. Other than that, everything about our visit--the food, drinks, and service--was fantastic. We really enjoyed it, and we'll definitely be going back and recommending it to others!"** Your local Real Estate Agent, Celeste Robles

Yelp
First time trying this place. Long lines but went by pretty fast. They take the orders before you get seated. Service is fast. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, Papa Benjamin Scramble, upgraded the toast to pancake, and had mimosas. I know some restaurants have country fried steak and it's beef, this one, I assumed it's chicken coz of the name but as soon as I cut, i knew it's beef. Asked 2 servers and they said IT'S CHICKEN and even told me "I can get you a new one but it's gonna be the same" But I KNOW that it's beef. Another server came to us and explained that IT'S BEEF but only called Chicken fried steak because it's battered like chicken (!) I get that, but maybe clarify it on the menu. And the 2 servers being so sure that it's chicken, yeah right For the food, steak is bland, hash brown, just the usual. Mimosas, just okay. Pancake is gummy and weird to chew, tastes like regular pancakes. The place? Old (looks and smells). Yeah they're quick but just not my kind of brunch place. Will I come back, you know the answer. Maybe go to black bear or Ihop instead lol

Yelp
The portions of food were bigger then I excepted with is nice given the price. I think the the food was your typical brunch food. Everything was good but nothing was like out of the world amazing, which I find comforting. I went with a group of friends, we ordered outside and once we got seated the food came. I was surprised that we had to walk to the back of the restaurant to go sit in the patio, but it wan't that bad it was just unexpected. Overall I like this place and would go again.

Yelp
This place always delivers, even on their busiest days! Everyone knows the drill, when you arrive be sure to put your name down on the waitlist and take a few minutes to look at the menu so you know what to order when you are seated. I came during lunch time and ordered the burger, they cooked it just right! They have the best ranch and it's a must with the fries. The restaurant is always busy because the people always come back! Great friendly service and amazing food!

Yelp
Best Breakfast and brunch spot in the area! Food: cooked to perfection Patty Melt: the melt was just perfect and good as requested. The fries are amazing and fresh homemade buttermilk ranch. Chocolate chip pancakes: awesome so yummy, had a chocolate chip cookie on top. Just a burger: amazing, has beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mayo. You can ask for cheese added. Fries on the side was perfect. Lolita: so yummy, fresh avocados. Service: awesome and prompt. You can order while you wait for seating. You wait outside, plenty of bench's, not too cold as it's in front of building. Ambiance: cute decor. We loved how everyone puts money or business cards under the plastic on the table.

Yelp
So I've been hearing about this place for a minute. I finally got the opportunity to go. I know breakfast diners have a similar vibe and decor, etc. But this place needs some up keep. We were given 2 menus that had sections ripped out. I wasn't sure if it was on purpose or if they were just really old. Maybe I am missing something. There were a lot of flies inside that kept landing on our food and buzzing around us. With that said, the food was good, kinda typical for a breakfast diner. Our server was super sweet and the best part of our experience. I am happy that the business is popular and has history but I don't know if I would go back when there are so many other options. So I am not saying you shouldn't go, it's just not for me.

Yelp
This cute whole in the wall restaurant gives antique interior! If you come at the right time/day you can probably skip the wait time. The food came out super quick and I highly recommend trying one of their special drinks! My bestfriend and I both got dishes with steak and it was honestly cooked perfectly. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here. AND a bonus if you want to advertise your own business you can slip a business card into the tables!!

Yelp
Skillet'z Cafe lived up to the hype for me! I came here with my best friend and toddler. The portions were HUGE. Everything was delicious. It can get very busy so plan accordingly. Overall service and food great.
