Amazing food amazing service! Tacos are excellent if you’re looking for authentic style with cilantro and onion. The salsas on the side are wonderful as well

Google
AWESOME! We work for Delta and came here for lunch. Best price, best people, best food. Come here if you are training for DL.

I’ve been coming here since they were serving out of a food truck, and it’s been incredible to see them grow into this new location. Even with the expansion, they’ve kept the same amazing quality, quick service, and welcoming atmosphere that made me fall in love with their food in the first place. The food is absolutely delicious—every bite is packed with authentic flavor. My go-to order is the asada torta, which is always perfectly seasoned, juicy, and served on fresh, soft bread. The service is super fast, and the restaurant is always spotless, making the dining experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with top-notch service and a great atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

What in the hey happened to Skinny’s 😳 On Dec 2nd, 2024, around 1pm, I arrived at Skinny’s. Didn’t know that it had changed, not even when I put it in the gps, because when I searched for Skinny’s, that’s what I saw. Do appreciate them trying to keep some of the same menu items, but the taste was NOT like Skinny’s. The tacos were very good & presented very well. I will return for those & will try other Mexican items. I’m only a little disappointed in the rice. Was expecting the Skinny’s version, reasons why I drove all the way there. I’ll update my review, after trying more items. But please stop charging $15 ($14.99) for that rice & presenting it as if it’s the original Skinny’s rice. Total waste of my time & money. I’m attaching a photo of it. Yes, it’s still in the fridge three days later. 😒 By the way, please be careful when parking. Parking is pretty tight & close to the main road & traffic lights.

Yummy Al pastor Quesadilla. My friend had also gotten the wings and fried rice which looked also pretty good. I am totally coming back!!

Google
So it took me two nights to come and catch a meal here because there is no parking. There were like 7 people in there and the parking lot was full. I parked across the street. The atmosphere is like an old diner. There's music playing but it's still an awkward vibe. I ordered three tacos. Al pastor, tripas, and lengua. The al pastor was chewy and the flavor was off. The pineapple mixed in was not it. I would have appreciated more grilled onions. The lengua was not it. Kind of dry this needed to be drown in salsa but I was only given two salsas for three tacos. The best one was the tripas. It was a nice combination of near crunch and softness. The tortillas were not hand made and were oiled up. These tacos were 4 bucks each. Im from east los angeles and I get better tacos for 2.50 with a quality salsa. I guess it's good for atlanta but this place wouldn't last in California. Again, just my opinion take it or not. Would not try again.

Update: It’s an end of an era. Skinny’s is no more (new owners).. wishing the original Skinny’s owners well in their next chapter and best of luck to the new owners. ————— 12/20/23: The original owners are back! :) We enjoy coming here whenever we can. The people here are the best! You can tell they care for their customers and the community. And the food is fast, fresh, and tasty! You can take the food to go but there is plenty of clean open space to sit down and eat if you’re not in a rush. This place is a neighborhood gem!

The grilled chicken salad with vegetables was very good. The 10 midget wings for $12 we’re not very good

Laura F.

Yelp
I honestly would have never found this little gem if I hadn't needed to get gas in the neighborhood. This has obviously changed hands and is now a taqueria. The standalone building is conveniently located near the airport. The restaurant was clean and ample. There is plenty of seating. The food was delicious. The counter service was fast. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
Skinny's has changed owners. (and it's just as good.) There was a food/taco truck on Virginia Avenue just down from Skinny's and they have taken over ownership. So the big change is Skinny's is now Chilos Taqueria (but the signs haven't changed). The former owners were Korean (and that was featured on the menu). The new owners have kept some of the more popular Korean dishes, wings and burgers. Moreover, they have added numerous Mexican street foods. I had 3 of the tacos plus a horchata. All very good. I recommend it for anyone. Nice presentation with sliced cucumber and radishes.

Yelp
TL;DR: Great lunch portions for a great price. Surpring menu options! ARRIVAL: It's a small parking lot in front with about 6 spots, so hopefully you get lucky around lunchtime. AMBIANCE: It's a quiet restaurant with a only-diner-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-while-on-a-roadtrip vibes. The atmosphere is a bit empty and cold, but not sterile. You order at the front and they'll call out your name/order when it's ready! There were a few other tables with people dining in pairs or groups. It looks and feels like a place that survives off one-time customers, but I can tell they definitely have small family business vibes and have their regulars. MENU: The lunch menu has great small portion options for about $5! The standard menu is also available with a drink. FOOD: I got the 1/2 philly cheesesteak with tots. The tots aren't seasoned so i dashed some seasoning salt (on the table next to the register), but they were super crispy (just the way I like them). The sandwich was about 3 inches (a half for lunch), but was a bit smaller than i had expected. They don't skimp on the fillings and fill it up the way it would be if it was a full sandwich just cut in half. SERVICE: The staff was very friendly and had conversation with me when I ordered (i think this is standard Southern but I don't usually get it when i'm ordering at the register!). I only saw a team of 2 when I was there. One working the front and maybe something in the kitchen and on dedicated cook. There's a sign that says they're working on getting orders completed quickly to accommodate people on lunch breaks, so that's nice! We opted to dine in when we came, so we weren't in a rush and i didn't pay attention to how long it took, but it wasn't long at all. EXPERIENCE: I'm not super keen on the atmosphere inside as it's just not very welcoming so I may opt for take out the next time I go, but it's close to work and the food and people were nice, so I will definitely be back for lunch! PRICE: Great for a lunch in the area! OVERALL: Really like the lunch portion and prices as I don't always eat lunch early enough and want to be too full! I like that I can eat it all and not have to worry about taking a few bites of leftovers home. A little worried about parking here for lunch, but i can also walk!

Yelp
Great prices on great food. We have been back twice for the fried rice as takeout. Burgers and hotdogs were delicious and I am impressed with the Korean dishes. Doesn't look like much but well worth a visit. Very nice family staff. Great value for what you get.

Zach S.

Yelp
Skinny's used to be my favorite restaurant to go to, but since falling under new ownership, I won't be going back. I tried giving them a chance twice, but the food just isn't the same level of quality it was under the previous owners. I used to get the Bibimbap all of the time and it was always extremely tasteful and perfectly cooked, but now it is over seasoned and the rice isn't properly cooked. I will miss the warm and memorable service once provided, but also the extremely delicious food.

Tommie G.

Yelp
Skinny's is one of those places that you'd pass by, thinking that it's just some random old school place. It is not. Skinny's is actually home to some of the best bibimbap and hot dogs you're going to find here in Atlanta. The staff is super friendly, they'll call you by name and greet you with a smile. The food is awesome. I'm not a hot dog expert or anything...I probably only have them at 2 am when at a QT; but I have actually gone out of my way to get a hot dog here. And the Bibimbap? Delcious. It's a slightly spicy Korean fried rice with a meat (beef or chicken), kimchi, some other veggies, and topped with an egg. If you've never had it before I fully recommend it. Give Skinny's a shot. They're awesome.

Corey P.

Yelp
This is an automated review based on a canceled Grubhub request. Don't offer takeout if you are going to cancel without notifying the customer. Waste of time ordering and waiting without notification

Kyle V.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall restaurant with an interesting menu. They have everything from egg rolls/Bibimbap to hot dogs/hamburgers and Philly cheesesteaks. Neither the exterior or interior are impressive. The parking lot is a nightmare but most customers walk over from Deltas HQ. The staff is friendly and the food was ready rather quickly. I ordered the Bibimbap with an egg roll. The Bibimbap was very good except the egg was overcooked for this type of dish. The best part is breaking the yolk into the fried rice, but it was cooked beyond that. I wish it came with more kimchi as well. My colleague has a cheesesteak and was also impressed. Overall, the menu is a somewhat strange and they offer a little bit of everything. As most people know, this isn't a great area and they don't shy away with their gun hanging above the cashiers head.

Tanisha H.

Yelp
Let's just say that we definitely have drove by this place a ton of times and NEVER realized that it was such a gem.. today while driving through I decided to just take a chance on a place that had good reviews from my fellow yelpers and I am glad I did. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and our order was taken.. we got a chopped cheesesteak & fries, a cheeseburger & fries and lemon pepper wings with chicken fried rice.. Less than 10 minutes later our orders were ready and the lovely lady who made them came and brought them to the table. She also cut my daughter's cheeseburger in half for her. That was a definite mom move and I really appreciated her for it... We loved our food and will be back for sure, my chicken fried rice was so fresh and although my wings were not humongous they were delicious, my daughter finished all of her food and my husband's bread was so soft on his cheesesteak it felt like a pillow..on our way out the owner told me bye using my name another personable touch that I honestly think made my day..

Ivan W.

Yelp
Awesome lunch joint. For what it is it's perfect. Want bougie, move on. Great comfort food. Good selection of Korean and American!

Faraz S.

Yelp
Skinnys used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Sadly it's been declining fast. The menu maybe the same. However, the taste is not what it used to be. This latest visit I ordered my usual go to, the buffalo chicken fried rice- chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce topped over vegetable fried rice. It was not good. The food was bland, the chicken was no longer tenders and the rice was stale. The ambiance is below par, as it has always been. With sticky floors, dirty restrooms, and a run down facade. It was easy to dismiss previously because the food was exceptional. Now it just adds to the decline of the establishment. The service was average, with the staff switching up every time I come. This particular instance, they were kinda dismissive, and a bit cold. It must be noted that the ownership and/or management has looked to have changed once more after Covid. With each successive regime causing a decline in overall quality and experience.

Steve B.

Yelp
Not often do i get caught off guard by "Good" Reviews. Now by all means, this rating currently could change. I'm willing to give it a 2nd (or 3rd chance) because maybe it was just one bad experience. If so, no biggie. Persuaded by the good reviews on Yelp, I definitely wanted to try this place since i frequent this area especially across the street from one of my favorite BBQ spots in all of Atlanta. Had the Korean Tacos, Wings and Fries. I have to admit, it was average at best. And that's saying it nicely. I expected more flavor or something to make it stand out. I am willing to try this again or something with a little twist. Not impressed. The Fries were average at best. Arguably the best item i had and that's not saying much. But the wings. My god, these midget, itzy bitzy tiny wings . Paid $6 plus for some smallest wings ive ever seen and not being cliche about it either. Again, will try this again and Yelp , will try again and hopefully the experience will be better. Grade: C

Yelp
food and service were amazing!! right by the airport so it's easy to stop by if you're just flying in. owner is very personable and makes sure everyone in the restaurant is comfortable and enjoying themselves.

Steve -.

Yelp
Used to be really good with previous owner. Don't waste your time now. I've given it two tries since the new owner took over and both times I felt sick after after eating the bad tasting food here.

Paulina K.

Yelp
It's a hole in the wall, but so delicious. The food quality is great and the prices are very affordable. I called my order in ahead of time and had no issues. It's an awesome fusion of classic American and Korean cuisine.

Tim S.

Yelp
A great Philly without the frill. If I came again, I would definitely order the tots instead of the fries. The aesthetics are awful but the menu is on point. Close to the airport and worth the trip.

Jarrod B.

Yelp
Skinny's is great! Friendly staff, order was processed quickly and the Bi Bim Bop is incredible. Do yourself a favor and visit this place.

Do Gyun K.

Yelp
Was looking for some Asian-ish food - saw that Skinny's was a Korean-Fusion place and went to check it out. Not much parking out front. Place is clean. Service is prompt and friendly. I tried their Korean-ish dishes. Was more American tasting than Korean to be honest. I probably wouldn't get it next time. Maybe their Western food is tastier? I did however really like their tater-tots.

Stephen Y.

Yelp
Bibimbap was pretty good served with a egg over medium. The portion was large and filling. No complaints and will order again. On a previous visit, I had the beef hot dog which is big and filling. Skinny cooks everything to order, which means there's a wait but the reward is hot food. The staff and service is good and the food is affordable.

Dontrell H.

Yelp
Not so bad for the price, clean restaurant very food selection of food items. Good Sub Sandwiches to say the least whenever you in the area check them out

D T.

Yelp
Harlem's take on Philadelphia's Cheesesteak has landed in Hapeville. I've never had a chopped cheese but i've had several Cheesesteaks all over Philadelphia. I definitely want to try an original chopped cheese from a Harlem bodega with hopes that it can hold up against an Philadelphia Cheesesteaks. I can't go higher or lower than a 3 on Skinny's chopped cheese until I try an original chopped cheese from Harlem. If I had to rate it against a Philadelphia Cheesesteaks I would give it a 2 or 2.5 at best.

Alexandra J.

Yelp
Great prices, great food and the service is the best! Please support especially during these uncertain times. They are still open for take out orders.

Anthony S.

Yelp
I am in Atlanta for work and have just been trying different places for lunch. Found this place because it was close by and I had a taste for a cheesesteak. We were greeted by the staff as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and calm. It felt more family style setting and that was even more inviting. I will say, the cheesesteak was pretty good as far as taste goes, but the small amount of meat on the sub was disappointing. I'd honestly order the cheesesteak again just wish it'd a come with more meat. One of my two coworkers ordered the teriyaki shrimp and rice and was elated with how tasteful it was.

Deborah T.

Yelp
A reason to come to the airport. Doesn't have to be fancy to be freakin' good, and this is one of those spots. Well prepared with fresh ingredients. Will be back without a doubt. Did I mention, yummy!!!

Tony J.

Yelp
Skinny's is definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Sung and his family are an absolute pleasure to talk to and they run a great place. Mom cooks AMAZINGLY good food and Sung greets most guests by name after meeting them only once or twice. I'll be a forever customer at Skinny's!!

Keo S.

Yelp
Yes this is a dive and yes it does have a tv playing Korean Shows (maybe others, but that was what was on at the time). Bim Bim Bop (Chicken) was DELICIOUS and huge portion for $8.50 and they were SO NICE!! Plenty of parking in the front and right off the highway if coming from the airport. This is a local goody so don't be scared and come on it. I can't wait to come back and try other things!

Ken B.

Yelp
Had the BiBamBop w chicken and egg roll. You can tell the cooking is from the heart. Manager visited the table to see how we were doing. Service was quick for home cookin. (8min) the restaurant is clean with clean tables and bathroom. Price is very low for the quality. To the employees, it was a pleasure eating here. I'll be back.

John H.

Yelp
Sadly, the new owners have a long learning curve ahead of them. Messed up orders. Longer wait times. Food quality has gone down. Hoping they get it together sooner than later.

Merritt W.

Yelp
Among the trendy dive spots along Virginia Avenue's airport area you will find Skinny's. Skinny's offers Korean inspired comfort food such as Bee-Bim Bop, a Korean Taco as wells as standard American lunch fare of burgers, fries, wings and salads. As of this review, I've yet to have anything other than the Korean dishes and a jump dog, but from I can tell from the other customers they seem to like everything offered. With regards to the Bee-Bim and Korean taco, they are delicious. The jumbo dog, is indeed jumbo, but it's just a hot dog really - now if they still had the Chicago Dog that would be something. Customer service is what really sets this place apart from the other establishments in the area. Very courteous and respectful staff and owners that get to know their customers. This place is definitely worth a visit, and many more.

Eric S.

Yelp
Back again after about 3 years because I haven't been in the area. Still on point in all regards. Food is excellent (I've only tried the Korean dishes) and the customer service is great! Sung is still the friendliest and best part of this restaurant. When I'm here, I usually eat here daily for lunch. So good and reasonable. You won't be disappointed.

Bill S.

Yelp
I recently stayed in the area for business and Skinny's was my favorite place to eat! The chicken wings and fried rice combo was consistently on point. Generous portions and very affordable. The son of the owner who runs the register was always super cool and greeted me by name every time I went in. When I go back for business, you know Skinny's is on my food map!

Eddie R.

Yelp
I read the reviews and thought, hum can't be too bad. So I decided to give it a try. Not bad. I ordered the bibimpap chicken. Didn't know what that was but it's fried rice with chicken and an egg basically. They serve it in a big bowl. Hope your hungry. It's allot of food. My buddy ordered the fried rice and wings. Wings were small but I didn't hear any complaints. So,I guess I'll give this place a good rating. Food, good. Service, good. Price, real good. Great for lunch, absolutely. I recommend.

J T.

Yelp
Ordered a couple of things. 10 piece lemon pepper and teriyaki wings with vegetable fried rice, a Korean taco with eggroll, and a chopped cheese. The wings didn't have much flavor. The lemon pepper wings didn't taste like lemon pepper, so I added my own. I also sprinkled lemon pepper on the teriyaki wings for flavor. The fried rice was actually chicken fried rice and was dry, almost like the bottom of the pot. The Korean taco was pretty good, but kimchi juice was dripping everywhere. Maybe draining the kimchi a little would make it easier to eat. The chopped cheese tasted and looked like the burnt edges of a hamburger patty. I'm not that knowledgeable about chopped cheeses, but this one has a charred and crunchy texture. I would just suggest working on quality control, even in the evening hours.

William M.

Yelp
Delivered to wrong address and so never received my food. I can't review the food but was really looking forward to my order. Really disappointed.

Peter K.

Yelp
Great service, lots of seating, and quality food at an affordable price. I've had the bibimbap (variety of veggies and meat with rice), teriyaki chicken, and buffalo chicken salad for lunch. The portions are really large and filling. A super big plus is they always make an effort to try and get to know you. Definitely worth a shot if you're in the area and it's open. Parking can be cramped but you can do it across the street in the grassy field.

Misty D.

Yelp
Tried the Cowboy Burger with chips. Cost around $10, and was served quickly. The meat was juicier and large, and comes with two onion rings on top of it that is topped with barbecue sauce. The chips were well cooked !!!

Shane W.

Yelp
This is the proverbial amazing "hole in the wall" you seek if you like Korean tacos, Bipimbop, hot wings, amazing egg rolls and more. They also have cheesesteaks and burgers. Sung, the proprietor, is very kind and loved his customers. All of the staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and the food is delicious. This is where Delta employees "in the know" go for lunch. This is a family business and staple of the community. I highly recommend it.

Elias M.

Yelp
super busy place near airport with cheap eats. Wings were very tasty and perfectly fried. Didn't like the shrimp fried rice much.

Janet W.

Yelp
We have been coming to Skinny's for years and just this past few months the service has gone way down. They are slow on getting the food prepared and to the table and when we get it it's never hot. The tater tots used to be the best in town and now they are cold when you get them and it seems they are pre cooked and then dipped back into the hot oil just before serving which makes them horrible, cold and soggy. Very disapointed in the changes and will hold off coming to eat here for a while. maybe they are just going through a growing change. We will try again in a month.

David D.

Yelp
I'm just visiting ATL so I'm looking for good food. Yelp reviews for Skinnys were great and they were walking distance from my room at the Hilton. Reviews did NOT lie. The Korean Taco was NOMlicious and the coleslaw was tasty. The gentleman working behind the counter was extremely friendly and welcomed me to ATL with open arms and a plate full of food. I'm only here for a week, but I will be back before I leave.

K L.

Yelp
Small wings that don't taste fresh. Small portions. $17 dollars for wings and tasteless shrimp fried rice.

Shawn B.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place for some time. Wow the best Bi Bim Bap stir fry with steak, veggies and a fried egg. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Ask for a side of the chefs red sauce. Close to the Delta training center so I walked over:)

Ashleyna P.

Yelp
Food was disgusting and cold fried rice was not cooked like it supposed too. Wings were not garlic Parmesan they were plain just overall nasty.

Jerry H.

Yelp
Great lunch spot, the house fried rice will definitely be enough to keep you coming back for more! The customer service here is awesome too, I really haven't experienced anything negative here.

Michael G.

Yelp
I've eaten heee once and had the Bi Bim Bop. It was very good, priced well and I had leftovers for later! I can't wait to come back because the menu was packed with potential! You will not find better food at a great price on Virginia Ave.

Yanata B.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp, saw really gooD reviews about it and gave it a try. Unfortunately I had to get my philly w cheese and frIes which was about $9.00 to go because I was on a short lunch break so by the time I got ready to eat it, the bread and fries were soggy BUT....only because of the plate and heat sweating it out. So moral of the story is, eat it there and not get it to go.

Travis T.

Yelp
This place hurt my heart. I looked it as a result of American Delis line was out of the door. I drove 3 hours and Being famished was an understatement. I was HUNGRY . So I decided to check it out. The pictures on yelp pulled me in. The line was excessively long as well so I figured it was a good thing. I was wrong. I ordered the fried rice and chicken wings and as soon as I laid eyes on the food, I was broken down. The fried rice was nothing like the pictures. The wings we subpar at best . And the. RICE ...... THE RICE. Was the biggest let down of my life . If American deli fried rice is the Krusty Krab Skinny's fried rice would be the chum bucket. It takes like brown rice with no seasoning. It was dry .... like DRY DRY. I was extremely shocked because I've never had fried rice this bad. BUT I will say the costumer service was fantastic. They moved a long line(11-15 people) in 5 minutes and they weren't rude at all they all had a smile on their faces. I would've put one star but the customer service bumped up my whole experience. But for the food let's just say I went in very very hungry and left hungry because I could finish the food. I hate to be rude I know the cooks were doing their best but in my opinion they need to go back to the drawing board with the recipe. I've been to multiple delis that have knocked it out of the park but Skinny's struck out.

Patricia W.

Yelp
OMG, Skinny's was simply amazing. Very nice and cozy environment. The menu is really outstanding, so many really good choices, I had to go with Suicide Dog, and it was outstanding. The staff was very welcoming and service is exceptional. I'd say my experience here was perfect.

Food Z.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in this area. You have to try it so many good options. Highly recommend the Korean Taco with Tots & the Chicken Fried Rice. Amazing customer service! Very reasonable pricing
