Skins Amsterdam Negen Straatjes

I had a very disappointing experience at Skins Amsterdam. When we walked in, there was only a minimal greeting, and the staff completely ignored us afterward. While I waited in line, one of the employees started chatting with her friend about personal matters, never once acknowledging me. When I asked another staff member for help finding a specific makeup product, she just pointed to a mirror and went back to talking to her colleague. At checkout, every other customer had their items nicely wrapped, but mine was simply shoved across the counter. I know I didn’t buy an expensive product, but that shouldn’t matter. Every customer deserves respect and proper service. On top of that, we couldn’t help but feel that we were treated differently because of how we look. What made the experience worse was how the employee leaned over and looked into my bag, as if she was suspicious of me. It was uncomfortable and disheartening. As I left, just five minutes before closing, they even slammed the door behind me. Truly disappointing and unprofessional experience.

Such a lovely store with a great selection of unique perfumes, make up and skincare. I had the best experience thanks to Soraya – she was super friendly, really knew her stuff, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I felt very welcomed and will definitely come back. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something special in Amsterdam!

Amazing niche, perfume store

Extremely poor service. No greeting, no assistance, no effort at all. My boyfriend and I stood in front of the counter asking for a tester of a perfume that was already empty, but after waiting more than 10 minutes the staff completely ignored us. Not even a simple acknowledgement. Honestly, this is unacceptable. I love Skins, but this location is a huge disappointment. In Amersfoort the staff are far more professional, attentive, and welcoming.

Soraya gave us the most exquisite customer experience, bought an amazing new perfume and am definitely coming back! Great knowledge for perfumes and she knows exactly what to recommend!

A lot of perfume brands you can find it here. We spent almost the whole afternoon here because we can not decide which perfume to buy. Too many options! Besides big brands like Penhaligon's, Ex nihilo, they also got some small perfume brands. But I don’t think they got Serge Lutens. The employees are very friendly, even if we spend whole afternoon smelling around the whole store lol. The girl who help us is also very professional. We said we want to try fig smell perfume then she gave us like five different taster. Shout out to Daphne (or Daphnie?) who is friendly and professional!!!

Such a wide selection of fragrance to choose from. I always stop by here to get something new when I come to AMS.
