The New Atlanta Restaurant Openings You Should Know About

"This new off-leash dog park and social club in Kirkwood has an indoor and outdoor turfed park as well as a full bar and light bites. Until we borrow our neighbor's dog and go check it out, here are some other pet-friendly spots we love." - juli horsford, jacinta howard

We absolutely loved our experience! It was our first visit, and everything about it exceeded our expectations. I was a little nervous at first since my puppy, Lillie, is only 6.6 pounds and there were some bigger dogs around, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Lillie had an amazing time! I truly appreciate the staff — the bartender was incredibly friendly and clearly has a genuine love for dogs, and the outdoor team as well. They were very attentive, keeping a close eye on all the dogs and making sure everyone stayed safe.

The employees truly want to be there and they show it by taking great care of the area and the dogs. They keep the park clean and sanitized while it’s open and even after they close. They are really personable people and are willing to help you and your dog be as comfortable as possible. Opening week they even had a photographer take photos of you and your dog. My dog truly had the time of his life more fun than he ever had at any other park. He was originally traumatized after I took him to one of the more prominently known dog parks but at Skiptown he never wants to leave. To top off of the food is amazing too I always get the honey hot pepperoni pizza and it hits every time. Bring your dog to skipdown I promise they will have a great time.

I can only speak for the park aspect. * Went for the first time today and I loved it. You only pay per dog, and with this being my first time being there, I got free entry. And I was able to bring two friends with me. Upon arrival, I was given this newcomer goodie bag that I thought was really cute. * They do you have a full bar, although most of what you find on the cocktail list in the app is canned. Luckily the bartender I had loves to make drinks so instead of giving me a can, she offered the hand make it - I had the Bacardi rum punch. * I feel like the skippers were very attentive. Anytime there was a sound of a scuffle I seen reaction. No, they don’t allow toys, but that is because toys are a top reason for dog scuffles. There was a lady there selling dog treats, I don’t know if she always is there considering this was part of their grand opening celebration weekend, but we were told not to give the treats in the park again because that is another resource for something to happen. * the area is very spacious, there are lots of places to sit inside and outside. And they also have a very small gated area where dogs can go in, but only on a leash. This was nice when we wanted to eat our pizza and didn’t have to worry about all the dogs jumping on us. They are also working on getting a splash pad put in. * pricing: I paid $50 (including tip) for hot honey pepperoni pizza(so delicious) 2 Bacardi punch rum drinks (made, not canned) and a strawberry margarita. Canned drinks are about $10, which yes this all seems like a lot, however, it is a business and that’s just the way of the world. * during this celebration they had an artist that does the animated drawings and he was phenomenal and fast. Also free! Shoutout to Tony Smith! ❤️ ‼️ also just wanna say that yes, the skippers are there to help mediate any issues and be the safety officers, however, the actions of your dog ultimately rely on you. So it is very helpful when owners actually pay attention to their dogs and help prevent their dogs From exhibiting unacceptable behavior. I say this because today there was a lady with two bigger dogs that were guarding the water bowl, and anytime a dog was trying to go drink They were causing issues and for some reason the owner thought it was funny. Which it was initially when they kept playing in and dumping the water bowl. But playing around and resource guarding are two different things. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It would definitely be worth paying for, and I actually live an hour and a half away and would not mind driving up here on my weekends to hang out for a few hours. 🐶 ☀️

Absolutely thrilled with this place. Jake, my dog, loves it. The staff is really on top of it when you visit the park. I love that they have an indoor area the pups can go in and out of to cool off - especially during this heat wave. Currently it's just $15 a month for unlimited park visits. Solid bar with some bar food for the humans. The doggie day care has been excellent and my pup is always happy to go. As a multi-hyphenate, having a doggie daycare I can trust when I need help has been a god send. Again, the staff - they seem well trained and genuinely seem to love dogs. Great prices - especially if you buy in bulk. Can't recommend enough.

Today, I and Xyloso, my loyal companion, had a life-changing experience at SkipTown Atlanta, where we formed lasting bonds with fellow dog lovers and their furry friends, and discovered a trustworthy pup-sitting service that allowed us to relax and socialize, fostering a sense of community and belonging that has left us eagerly looking forward to our next visit. Also everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, truly demonstrating their genuine care for dog safety and cleanliness, which was impeccable, earning a well-deserved 10/10, making it the ultimate dog park experience at SkipTown Atlanta, a truly exceptional destination. #dog #likeforlikes #skiptown #dogpark #atlanta

Jupiter loves Skiptown! I love how they update you on the app with pictures and daily reports of their meal times. His first day was great and they took a photo of him. They have great customer service & answered all my questions prior to his first boarding experience. Can’t wait to try their grooming salon next!

Great spot to let Marley meet his neighborhood friends. He normally walks over but he wanted to drive so he could save his energy for playtime. They have a bar on the inside - open Garage bay doors with AC if needed.. Plenty of seating and space for everyone.
